the story of rura begins after Fontaine is flooded in what appears to be the war between the primordial 1 and the second who came destroying the unified civilization in Fontaine and scattering humans across the land meanwhile in the suu Aran War the god Remis is defeated by desit however Remis refuses to serve under des and instead decides to wander he intends to die in Fontaine but ends up finding the ruins of an ancient civilization and there encounters the prophet sabila sabila is described as an Envoy survivor of the last Deluge and the Prophet who survived the previous cycle implying that she's probably a cely though it's unconfirmed with her powers of Prophecy sabila warns Remis that she is foreseeing his future and that he will raise a flourishing Kingdom that will eventually cause his own downfall despite hearing this Remis still decides to establish the kingdom of rura hoping to avert the prophecy destruction by escaping fate also known by the ruran as Fortuna the man tree that sabila guarded was transformed into Rema ship which he also also named Fortuna because I suppose he had not much naming creativity and with this ship he sailed the Seas of Fontaine to establish rura Reus first established rura in the area known as meropis presumably the same area where the Fortress of meped now stands he gathered up the scattered people in the area to become part of rura then went out and conquered and enslave the people of the lands near him how exactly this whole conquer and enslave method fit with his dream of a future without prejudice isn't very clear but he did it anyway one of the members of these conquered tribes was an an individual who would later be named bothus who was a talented musician and Warrior bothus was president at the conquest of a tribe where everyone was killed save two survivors one of these survivors who would later be known as cador became boas's friend and joined him in going to the capital of rura where the two of them Advanced through the ranks and gained power the other Survivor was named aragan though her name would later be incorrectly transliterated by rans and she became known in later days as aronz aronz was taken in by kaas the prince of the conquered tribe of aramor to defend the L that rura hadn't yet absorbed however even as all of this you know Conquest expand rura stuff was going on sabila prophecied the flood that would dissolve all fontans although she could see the future flood she was unable to determine why this would happen so she gave reeis the location of aia's prison within the primordial sea Remis sought out aeria within the primordial sea but there he encountered Skyla a prince of the Bishops and a former servant of the hydro Sovereign who now guarded aia's prison Skyla and Remis fought were 30 days until Remis ended up mentioning that he had come to try to prevent the dissolution of his people as foretold by Fate even though Skyla thought this was foolishness he approved of the concept of going against fate so he allowed Remis to see aeria aeria explained that she had appropriated the power of the primordial sea and so all fontans were cursed to dissolve when coming into contct with primordial seed water something that Remis could not fix still he was determined to try and avert fate so she granted him a cup of primordial seed water Skyla also chose to follow Remis back to the surface and serve him to try and help Remis achieve his dream of a prosperous future free of of conflict using the primordial sea water Remis ended up refining it and extracting a material called ier he was able to use this ier to separate the souls of the uans from their bodies then placed those Souls into Immortal Gollum bodies of stone to prevent the urans from being dissolved however even after changing their bodies from flesh to Stone sail's prophecy future remained the same Remis came to believe that human Souls could not Escape fate so he locked himself away in his Palace to search for a flaw in fate he ended up creating the symphony a music that wo together the soul and memories and personas of the ruran allowing them to create their own Destinies to help control and guide the symphony Remis promoted four individuals to the position of haros bothus casador and two others named uredia and aelius however the rans as a whole were afraid of the burden of being able to decide their own fate and so they asked Remis and the harmos for guidance as a result sabila sacrificed her life to create Phobos a Melody that was able to provide direction to ruran and plan for the future Phobos was part of the symphony but it ended up making all judgments and decisions for the remans since apparently they didn't know what to do with free will I guess and it planned out every step to a future for all humans to achieve Happiness by this time aranas had retaken aramor from rura in addition to conquering other tribes of Fontaine and forcefully converting them to worshiping Nigeria IRAs had heard Legends of a pure Grail which could Grant any wish supposedly told by an oan ad missioner to the people of Fontaine this was likely a Corruption of Remis being gifted a cup of primordial sea water by aeria but aronas believed that by finding and freeing Nigeria she could obtain the pure Grail and use it to wipe away the sins of Fontaine preventing the prophecy of the flood to this end she also formed the lock Knights a group of knights dedicated to protecting the oceanids who vanished as rura tainted the previously pure Waters with ior aronas and the lock Knights believ that no matter what atrocities they committed in nera's name their sins would be wiped Away by the pure Grail also referred to as the primordial chalice arania self describes her actions as having slaughtered the unrighteous and toppled countless cities and although one of the haros sought to end the war and establish peace between rur and aramor aronas refused believing that all enemies of aeria must be wiped out and the two Nations continued their vicious War furthermore because Phobos was part of the symphony which tied together the souls and memories and personalities of the ruran it ended up becoming corrupted by the desires of the rans to wipe out their enemies and conquer the other tribes of Fontaine believing this would allow everyone aka the rans to achieve happiness the resulting war between arura and raria was vicious and filled with Bloodshed in any case Remis realized that something was wrong with Phobos so he separated cador's soul from the symphony allowing cassador to be able to disobey Remis in the Symphony of necessary however as the war continued Remis decided that the only way to fix Phobos in the symphony's corruption was to destroy the symphony freeing his subjects from Gollum bodies and from phobos's control seeing the brutality of the roran conquest Skyla sought to leave reis's service but Remis made a deal with Skyla for Skyla to help him destroy the symphony Remis granted Skyla the requium an order for the symphony to self-destruct the plan was for Remis to kill himself in order to Unleash the symphony's Power sending it raging while Skyla would pretend to betray rura and attack the capital using the reum to control the Unleashed power of the symphony and destroy it because of the Prejudice and arrogance of the ruran Remis and Skyla chose not to tell the rans that Skyla's so-called betrayal was arranged by Remis in advance unfortunately Phobos found out about reis's plain destruction of the symphony Phobos felt that without its guidance rur would be plunged into chaos and that its goal of happiness for Oliver Maria could not be achieved so it secretly absorbed the soul of the harmos bothus and controlled his body when Remis enacted his plan and killed himself Phobos say bothus stole the cup of ior and led the armies of rura to fight Skyla off then used the ior to seal Skyla away but because remus' death had unleashed the symphony's power rura flooded and sank beneath the waves bothus was the only Survivor from the capital though others who were not in the capital at the time lived Pastor Maria's destruction including codor and a soldier named ese as a result of for Maria's fall and remus's death Celestia freed aeria from her prison within the primordial sea and sent her to rule Fon arania sought her out and begged aeria to tell her how to avert the prophecy according to Legends this meeting occurred at the fountain of Lucine though the Legend's accuracy is questionable however just as aeria had told Remis in the past aeria now told aranas the truth of the fanian sin that aeria had transformed them all from oceanids to humans and that their dissolution when coming into contact with primordial seawater was a natural result of of this furthermore she also told aronia that the so-called pure Grail was a cup of primordial seaw water the very thing that would cause the destruction of Fontaine not something that could avert it upon hearing that there was no way to prevent the prophecy and that all of her sins and Slaughter and terrible actions had been for nothing aronas threw away her sword fled was never seen again after failing to find her Absolution and had the definite implication in there that she killed herself meanwhile the remaining survivors of rura constructed a golden Castle near Petra cor that would later come to be known as The Faded Castle while cassador and his companions tried to repair the chaos that the flooding had caused bothus created a group among the survivors known as the golden troop the golden troop were descendants and survivors of roria though they were not Gollum themselves due to the symphony going wild some but not all of the ruran Golems had fallen into Slumber and the golden troop sacrificed The Souls of children to them in hopes of Awakening the Golems this was likely encouraged by bothus who cidor claims plundered The Souls of fontans to initiate ritual that would have repaired the symphony and recreated rura based on this it's likely that bothus misled the golden troop about why the children were being sacrificed with this ritual bothus hop to revive raria thus bringing it back to Tower over Fontaine cador and the other survivors which included Estee another roran Gollum were forced to form the marosi hunters to stop both's plan codor was also given the title of golden Hunter though he considered it humiliation for unknown reasons the marosi hunters managed to seal bothus and the the flooded rura away and cassador swore to become The Keeper of the seal however likely due to the Optics of the situation or maybe because the marosi hunters themselves did not wish to be known as raran later writings recorded the original marishi Hunters as Heirs of the lock Knights and the golden Hunter as a devout orphan called and chosen by aeria cador continued to reside in Petra cor as the golden Hunter and appears to have been known either publicly or mythologically as an immortal figure several hundred years prior to modern day a scholar named ruier began researching the golden troop and the history of rura and ended up being drawn to petor where he encountered cador the golden Hunter for reasons unknown the seals on rura had failed and so rero and casador ventured into the faded Castle to reeal rura although ruero knew the legends of the golden Hunter as a servant of aeria and heir of the Loch Knights by the end of their time together ruero began to strongly suspect that casador and the original marosi Hunters have actually been ruran Golems due to cador's knowledge of The Faded castle and ruran history through unknown methods codor and ruier were able to reestablish the seals to help protect the seals rero decided to try and Revitalize the village of Petra cor which at the time was a rundown fishing village with few inhabitants his efforts appear to have been somewhat successful as Outsiders such as a Daydream Club settle down to Petra cor every so often recently however the Resurgence of the primordial SE due to the Fulfillment of the prophecy lent bothus the strength to open the gate between flooded rura and The Faded Castle because the symphony contained the memories and Souls of the rans bothus was able to use its power to replace the identities of the residents of petor with that of ancient rans of the residents only Estee managed to escape this because he was descended from the ruran gollum and marish chosi Hunter also named Estee when the traveler arrived in rura they began to experience visions of reis's Life due to reis's Remnant power also being Unleashed in addition to encountering cador in the form of o a cat also known as orines of oropos a name granted to him when Remis separated him from the symphony cador led the traveler to unseal The Faded Castle in hopes of saving petor before encountering bothus who revealed himself to be the source of the symphony though bothus claimed to have merged his soul with the symphony while sealed this was likely a falsehood to hide the fact that bothus was actually Phobos which was already part of the symphony codor revealed his true identity as ruran to the traveler and explained Rua's Past after going through the gate from The Faded Castle to rura The Traveler and cidor encountered the Seal Dragon Skyla but were unable to pass through the initium Yani the barrier dividing the inner and outer parts of Ria's Capital after unsealing Skyla to obtain help in breaking through the initia Miana Skyla revealed the truth of his betrayal to codor and the traveler explaining that it had been planned out by Remis The Traveler and codor were taken into boas's mind Palace but only the traveler managed to escape with codor staying behind by exploiting the power of the symphony The Traveler managed to open the doors of domus Ora the palace with Skyla's advice and help bothus met and fought them in the form of a giant statue with cador supposedly agreeing to merge with bothus and joined the symphony however codor betrayed bothus and used his power as a fellow harmos to control the symphony and weaken bothus allowing the traveler to defeat him in the process of defeating bothus though casador was weakened and his soul faded away with his last request being for the traveler to play the reum when the traveler played the requium The Souls of the rans that were trapped in the symphony were freed and Skyla and the traveler returned to the surface Skyla bid The Traveler farewell and the traveler headed back to Petra cor where the residents had been cured of their possession a now just a regular cat was gifted into st's Care by The
