454 Casull vs 45 Long Colt - GIANT CLAY BLOCKS!!!

[Music] hey everybody how you doing this is about to be a really fun video out at the range today with heavy metal we have some more clay blocks if you're new to the channel we have a series where we shoot a bunch of these clay blocks with different calibers comparing what kind of carnage or craziness or impact or whatever you want to call it different rounds have on this clay though for pistols we've been doing our handguns one ten pound block of clay we've done nine millimeter 40 45. 357 mag 10 millimeter bunch of stuff if you haven't seen those videos go check out the playlist we've done tons of rifles and handguns but for this one we went and got 20 pounds of clay because we have some big dogs here we are going to be comparing the 454 cassoul and the 45 coal some people call it 45 long coal no matter which way i call it somebody gets mad at me but i'm going to say 454 cassel 45 long coat because that's what it says on the box uh but here's what we're uh going shooting here this stuff i bought from great lakes the 45 long colt is a 250 grain xtp and then for the 454 casull our buddy tim sent these in it's a 240 grain hornady xtp so both hornady xtps one from great lakes the 45 colt then the 454 console from our buddy tim really appreciate you tim appreciate you sending those in um and we're going to be firing them out of my taurus raging judge magnum it's probably a little bit hard to tell how big that is on video but look at it compared to my hand this is a huge monster revolver but let's uh shoot the 45 colt first let me show you the clay here a little bit from the side oh like i said put two of the clay blocks up here for this video since those are some powerhouse rounds check it out this is gonna be a whole lot of awesome it's one of my favorite handguns to shoot i haven't shot it in a while because the ammo is real expensive but this is gonna be cool i splurged big time it's been like 50 bucks on clay just for this video but 45 coat or long coat here we go let's set up the cameras hopefully i can hit that clay dead center then we'll go shoot the 454 seal all right here we go with the 45 colt standing at about oh only like five six yards here i want to make sure i get a half decent shot here i haven't shot this one in a while but i think the sights are pretty near dead on well kind of took the top off let's shoot another 45 coat all right hit kinda high on my aim at the bottom of it this time i'm gonna shoot it again and really aim at the bottom i'm sure going through some expensive ammo in this video [Music] go check it out that's enough shots with the 45 coat so maybe i was just a terrible shot but honestly i was expecting a little bit more out of that let's see what happened so the first two shots made like a channel right off the top that second one second one look or the third one rather looks like we hit them maybe in the eyeball there but coming out the back the uh the first two definitely made a channel up there and then the final one came out the back but i honestly expected that hole coming out the back to be a lot more severe than that you guys saw the slow motion footage i won't see it until i edit it but i really expected more out of that 45 long coal but let's shoot the 454 kazoo see if it does us any better than that that was kind of weak sauce all right here we go with the 454 cassell like i said i'm hoping it gives us a little bit more of a show than that weak sauce 45 long coat see if i can hit this dead center same setup two brand new uh blocks of clay there 20 pounds of clay wow uh yeah i could feel that in my hand and in the fireball that 454 that you loaded tim that has some good boogie on it let's go check out what did to the clay so like i said i could definitely feel the recoil in the 454 casill having a whole lot more boogie on it you guys may or may not have seen the fireball but i sure did but let's see what happens to the clay here definitely feel like i got a better shot there remember there was two blocks there let's come around this side so you can still see that there there was two blocks there now looks like we kind of hit it a little bit crooked but look at that cavity man that's like uh you could fit a whole basketball in there look at that huge huge cavity that it made out of those two blocks so hey out of that footage i'm giving the wind to the 454 console but just because we can and i want to shoot that tim ammo um i'm gonna load up one more 454 because i'll make a big old pile turn on the slo-mo and shoot a bunch of clay like point blank and see if we get some cool footage so check it out i'm gonna mash all this clay together in one big old block all right so this is probably a terrible idea but it's all for you guys 454 casual point blanket like 45 pounds of clay don't try this at home kids [Applause] [Music] no doubt about it shooting those 454 consoles definitely have a lot more power on them than those 45 long coats i can feel it in my wrist those suckers have some kick but let's see what happens that i clay they're like point blank i think i closed my eyes so hopefully i didn't miss we were shooting at this angle and you can see man looks like somebody took their fist and just boom drove it all the way through there it's crazy how a bullet you know 45 caliber ends up making a hole that's bigger than the size of a softball like that's kind of ridiculous that sucker's got some power no doubt about it caliber makes a hole through that clay even bigger than the size of a softball pretty wild appreciate you guys watching
