3F UL Gear Lanshan 1 Pro, Tent Review & seam seal - Ultralightweight Trekking Pole Tent

this is the 3ful gear lanshan 1 pro it's a single skin updated version of the original lanshan 1 and at 840 grams it's an ultra lightweight and affordable three season trekking pole tent so here we have a couple of patches which i believe are for the floor some guy ropes interesting color uh a syringe this is used for putting the uh sealant on so i'm gonna need to buy some sealant and then we have some pegs one two three four five six seven eight nine pegs [Music] 689 grams 102 grams 11 grams 36 grams 839 grams [Music] [Music] [Music] it's really easy to pitch i start by laying the tent out pegging the four corners then inserting the trekking pole pegging the main guy then the final three guy lines and making any adjustments as required the fly is made from 20d double coated silicon ripstop nylon this double silicon coated fabric cannot be factory sealed the ground sheet is made from 20d pu silicon nylon pu caged on one side and silicon coated on the other so it is possible for the pu coated side to be factory taped and this has been done the inner is made from a 20d nylon mesh this is a three season one and a half layer tent it's made from a very light silicon-coated ripstop nylon that on first sight looks almost too thin the internal dimensions are 230 centimeters long 125 centimeters high depending on your trekking pole height and 80 centimeters wide at both the head and the foot and 110 centimeters at the widest point in the middle the bathtub ground sheet is about 10 centimeters tall and offers good protection especially in long grass the main and inner zips are ykk branded and there is a reinforced rain flap and all guide points are also reinforced it's very spacious inside for one person in the kit with enough room to sit up a large vessel area to store wet kit and for cooking in order to seal the seams you will need a silicone tent sealant i used a 28 gram tube from gear aid i used about half the tube to seal my tent simply squeeze the silicone into the syringe that is provided with the tent and apply it carefully down the seams remember to make sure your tent is clean dust free and dry before applying the sealant all four main seams need to be sealed and it's advisable to seal the guide points as well i found on a windy night a fine spray was occasionally generated from the condensation on the fabric as it moved in the wind on a positive note the fact that there is no inner made it very easy to remove excess condensation with a cloth especially before taking the tent down to reduce wetness and prevent dry areas of the tent getting wet when folded i was surprised at the overall length i'm about six foot tall and neither my head nor the end of my sleeping bag touched the tent walls during the night while only the best conditions low humidity and good ventilation will prevent any tent from condensation build up the condensation is more noticeable on a single layer tent as there is not an inner between you and the flysheet it may also be slightly colder due to the lack of an inner and the fact that greater ventilation is generally needed to control the condensation overall i'm very pleased with the tent it's lightweight compact very well constructed and excellent value for money so would i recommend it definitely yes [Music] the easiest place to purchase the lan channel one pro is on the chinese website aliexpress you can find the link in the description below you may also find it on sites like amazon or ebay but the prices tend to be higher the one pro is currently priced at about 120 pounds on aliexpress don't be intimidated by a chinese website you have just as much buyer protection as you have on on sites like amazon and ebay in fact my tent had a small hole in the fly and a little bit of discoloration while a seller agreed to offer a refund if i returned it although that would have been too expensive to ship via the disputes process i managed to negotiate a very good partial refund so i was happy with the outcome incidentally the hole i patched up with some of the seam sealer and it's as good as new i've purchased over 100 items on aliexpress in the last few years and have never been left out of pocket you
