in this video i will show you how to create in minutes a metahuman that actually looks like you and the process will be almost automatic epics metahuman is a revolution but one of its current limitations is it's hard to turn real people into meta humans the recent match to met a human makes a step towards solving this it can adjust the meta human's face to your face scan but it still cannot transfer the texture while the texture is really important so let me show how we can do better than this we will use in 3d avatar creator pro app link in the description to create a photoreal avatar export the avatar as both fbx and glb now we do regular mesh to metahuman using the fbx file so we'll load it into unreal check import normals it's important create a metahuman identity set up the camera let unreal track the keypoints then push it to metahuman's cloud and when it's ready we can open metahuman's website and customize our avatar we can change the skin color [Music] we can add our avatar some hair we can also add some clothing adjust the head proportion we open an unreal project and use qxel bridge to import the avatar here i use the default metahuman scene that epic provides and replace the default metahuman with hours [Music] now you see the problem this avatar actually doesn't look like me it has the right geometry but the texture maps are wrong to fix the textures go to intrigue.io metahuman and upload the glb file exported from the app you will get the textures for your metahuman you need to download it import it into unreal project now change the albedo in face materials to the texture that you've downloaded don't forget to change the materials that are used at different lods as well [Music] so this is how it looks with the the new texture now we have two eyebrows because the eyebrows are baked into the texture so let's remove the separate eyebrows [Music] it looks good already but we can polish the texture a little bit around the eyes and the mouth but the alignment will be already much better in the upcoming release so that's it let us know how it worked for you [Music] i am a metahuman the next generation of digital human powered by unreal engine metahumans are high fidelity digital characters created by you the user on our new content creation platform met a human creator i am fully rigged ready for animation and motion capture allowing you to work in context with everything running live
