One of my pals had recently got on the Pacquiao train and said Marquez would be destroyed, not knowing the fights they had before were all very tough and Marquez could deal with pacmans punching power. I told him just watch, Pacquiao when he does his little flurries jumps in and out to deliver them, and coming in he's open to get caught, not just by the punch but him coming in like he does can make its effect even harder. I also say he can be hit as he goes out but it'd take someone with long reach to do that effectively. But yep, Marquez got him with about the best shot he's even thrown.

He drinks his own urine.

jab by no need to donaire for the first time fight fans welcome back [Music] in boxing the sport's biggest risks lead to the biggest reward however as we saw last weekend the narrative is far from pre-ridge the current crop of british heavyweights have shown character in both their composure and their resolve and so just like fury's redemption and joshua's resurgence white has the opportunity whether it's this year or next to set the record straight as for the fans the unusual and unexpected only makes things more exciting ten thousand people are stunned so keep a tight guard and keep your chin tucked as we present 25 of the most unexpected boxing knockouts welcome to a motiv media presentation here he starts to rock you a couple times max your eyes are deceiving your eyes already see me max because he didn't rock me at all as opposed to style or severity this list instead highlights those knockouts that went against the odds fighters generally not so well known for their power that boosted their profiles overnight female lightweight championships of the world on the white povetkin undercard we also witnessed some of the sport's toughest and most impressive women's boxing but a pride fighting to the bell again and so first off we look back to a night where dominican fighter oxandia castillo overcame 100 to one betting odds catching hannah gabriel with an inch perfect chopping right hand [Music] on the back of his olympic gold audley harrison talked of becoming undisputed heavyweight champion by 2008 back to a world title so get behind me 2007 i'll win the world title 2008 i'm going to be undisputed get behind me however falling short and a couple of close decision losses it was this huge left hand from michael sprott that produced his first major setup you're going to do this job at least get it right you know we do that we do the fighting we do the hard part you know what i'm saying you guys at least put your the correct bifocals on and score the fight right and do the thing you're supposed to do he's always been one of boxing's marmite characters but when paulie meant senchenko the rising 32-0 ukrainian champion you gave him a chance so far for that left hand which might be his first really meaningful shot melinda is doing really well at the moment and with just five stoppages from 30 wins even fewer predicted the magic man systematic beatdown sorry it's all over it's all over it's being stopped well give full credit where credit is due melinda said he was going to school sanchezenko and he has delivered [Music] similarly german fighter sven aki went into his fight with anthony mundine with 20 victories and only four stoppages though after being referred to as feather fist in the build-up his australian opponent was made to eat his words [Applause] [Music] after his dirty tactics against loma six years ago many still hold a grudge against orlando salido certainly seen a fair number of low blows from orlando toledo there's another one though that same relentless style and pressure back in 2011 made for an incredible upset when he went to war with 30-0 knockout king jose manuel lopez that's a can opener [Music] yes what a fight he's the type of man you definitely gotta nail him down to the ground and like i said i brought my sis feet inch nails and a big hammer from alabama and i'm ready to go well away baby bang bang bang far more fresh in the memory and almost impossible to leave out fury asserted his heavyweight dominance last year when he outsmarted outmaneuvered and out punched the sport's biggest hitter groggy in there wilder i don't think he's got a shot and he's gone he's gone i tell you what this fight is going to be all over though all questions will become answers in the coming 12 months i was over trained i was 18 stone too tonight i was 19 strong i'm a destroyer not bad for pillow fish say his comeback kind of fight a [ __ ] represents the best opponent of his comeback so far kirkland's supposed to beat the hell out of him years before he fought alvarez james kirkland was a certified super welterweight wrecking ball though in 2011 after serving 30 months in prison for weapons offenses the texan fell victim to a trademark cherry pick gone wrong in his return to deal with two opponents and now he gets caught on a quick counter right inside and no one expected that [ __ ] there it is again and joe cortez is stopping the fight this is the most shocking thing i've seen in 25 years of calling fights because i frankly did not believe the japanese fighter had a chance i am nice but i'm awful crucial with these hands what's up pensacola in the house after a majority loss in the first fight antonio tarver came into the rematch tagline personal business looking to set the record straight and to prove to the world that he is not just one of the two best but that very best light heavyweight in the world today with an iconic outburst after the referee's instructions tonight and an unforgettable trade-off just five minutes later came one of the sport's most unforgettable upsets [Applause] knockout artist known as the machine five years ago lucas matisse was one of boxing's most fearsome punchers between 140 and 147 pounds and so when he met postal the puncher versus boxer narrative was set crazily fans watched roles reverse with an unexpected dramatic knockout for the ukrainian knockdown this is over victor has knocked out look at this fighter deciding not to get up following olympic success amir khan was another brit on the fast track to super stardom however the relatively unknown yet hard-hitting colombian greatest prescott had other ideas the biggest chance of his life maybe the only chance he'll ever get against all odds it took just 51 seconds with khan's vulnerability exposed for the very first time in british back in 2003 before his 10-year unbeaten reign vladimir klitschko was still the man skill is not perceived as a good career move right now however in what was supposed to be a tune-up fight against 37-year-old south african corey sanders the ukrainian was left shell-shocked in just two rounds problem klitschko one thing that was unknown about vladimir coming into this fight was what would happen if he got tagged by a legitimate puncher now we know that's the knockout of the year 25 wins with 24 knockouts before lemieux met the triple g's and saunders of the boxing world he was simply knocking down everything that came his way on a perfect right-hand shot though when he fought marco rubio on home turf he certainly wouldn't have things all his own way tommy morrison presents the bigger stronger picture with a linux lewis showdown on the horizon tommy morrison was out to impress when he fought michael bank michael benton his last fight prior to this one against mark wills broke his right hand and won anyway well schooled and an underestimated counter puncher bent survived the expected early pressure before switching things up scoring three knockdowns on route to victory michael bent on the birds of a big moment and he's got it that's it he's warming up with freddie roach and this is one of the most familiar scenes in the sport maybe the sport's most perfectly timed overhand right and a night where lots of people lost money or round 37. again it wasn't a result that was totally out of the question instead it was the manner in which it came that simply blew people away another underdog story this time in the super featherweight division featuring another relatively unknown contender panama's jezreel corrales ripping the belts from the champion out in tokyo he blew away the japanese favorite takashi uchiyama inside two rounds another cherry pick up set that quickly became both the ko and the upset of the year joe smith jr was nine to one underdog to win straight up so not only was it a surprise to see a stoppage but with a blistering hot start it lasted just one round fighters in the world and no one's dominating them the way i have alongside fury and joshua david price was hotly tipped as britain's next heavyweight icon david price as ever his physique absolutely chiseled that was until he met his nemesis in america's tony thompson a 42 year old that was expected to provide little if any resistance at all oh goodness me well there is the disaster scenario for this huge crowd and prices on jelly legs and it's been stopped it's all over amateur when i was seven years old my dad's been giving it to me so and best believe i'm gonna be eating snickers um before the fight with aj another one that's glaringly obvious but impossible to leave out was aj's shock loss to andy ruiz jr last june a night that serves as one of the most solemn reminders that one punch can change everything in heavyweight boxing mom i love you i love you and our lives is gonna change nicknamed the young master amir imam's power and skills made him one of the hottest names it's super lightweight so after knocking down granados in the first the mexican fighter's work rate and hunger saw him force the upset looks like he's ready [Applause] despite being one of the smoothest movers of his generation pernell whitaker was certainly not considered a huge puncher and so where many favored him going into his fight against juan nazario nobody expected such a devastating single-shot ending not gonna make it this is the first round knockout for brunell whittaker is voldemire a uh one fight wonder well yeti carlos baldomir made a name for himself by overcoming one of his era's true icons granted it was late in gotti's career but the argentinian's lack of venom against one of the sport's toughest gins made the end result even tougher to swallow he wants to continue but how much does he have left that was a big left hook shot and arturo's not throwing and that'll do it and after this fight i'm gonna send him retirement and no one can remember him and they're gonna and they're gonna hear what i said i made him and i'm gonna break him is that what's gonna happen up there i made you so i'm gonna break you right so you're fighting rising through the ranks nanito donaire announced himself to the world stage by beating the 28-0 unbeaten vic darcinian a single shot became his trademark and also made for the ko of the year and upset of the year rolled into one there's the jab by no need to donaire at working well oh god start jenny and down for the first time it's all over it's all over there after seven years unbeaten lennox lewis was accused of looking past his opponent hassim rahman in south africa and with a smug grin and disregard for the american he found himself hurt and unable to recover in another of the decades most iconic heavyweight upsets and he's got it and all his titles are gone and he has only himself to blame so let's turn up the heat as champion mike mccallum fights for the recognition he's so much desired don curry was a fighter many accused of believing too much in his own hype and so when he moved up to fight mccallum a man who contrastingly never quite got the recognition he deserved the outcome would shock everybody at all [Applause] where better to finish than with the ultimate of sporting upsets a few of the knockouts we've shown could have gone either way or maybe in retrospect had their own telltale signs but this one in february of 1990 was unexpected by almost the entirety of the boxing world [Applause] gonna make it [Music] thus saith the lord god because the philistines have dealt by revenge and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart to destroy it for the old hatred therefore thus saith the lord god behold i will stretch out mine hand upon the philistines and i will cut off the characters and destroy the remnant of the seacoast and i will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes and they shall know that i am the lord when i shall lay my vengeance upon them ezekiel 25 15-17 when it comes to righteous dialogue we're taking you right to the source in a motive media presentation
