Twitter @almotarjim How can I live in Dubai for a whole day with only 1 SAR ? I'm talking about 1 AED Almost quarter a Dollar why did I think about such an idea in the first place? I came to Dubai During NY celebrations And I though I would find somewhere to stay easily. But most hotels are fully booked or the prices are doubled or tripled. I decided I would spend a day with only 1 AED picture this as Dubai's map. This is the Arabian gulf And here's a lake that goes deep in the ground This Lake is called (Al-khoor ) At the top of this Khoor was the old Dubai the space inside the Khoor is called " Bur Dubai " and the space outside the Khoor is called " DEIRA" I think I'm outside the Khoor Here, and Dubai Mall is Here. So welcome everybody to Dubai, Specifically in Northern Dubai The Old City I found an empty bottle of water Its a tradition to have a water cooler outside every Mousque around the world. In Deira, there's a whole market for Nuts I think I know what to eat for breakfast Can I try it ? Because if you Google Dubai you'll find skyscrapers and fancy places. Skyscrapers are fine, but these authentic places has its own taste. it's a good place to shop, but you must negotiate the prices try to get half the price they're offering my friend. And since I won't spend more than 1 AED, I have to walk all the time. I will go to a tunnel, cross the KHOOR to reach Bur-Dubai Right over my head there's sea water they made this tunnel under the water and it takes from one side to the other I just found out this tunnel is not made for walking. The sidewalk is so narrow I had to stick to the wall and I found out its full of Carbon I'm the most stupid person everrrr. Under pass to Deira There's a tunnel for pedestrians and another for vehicles and i used the vehicles tunnel , caught all the dirt on my way out Need to take abreak from the sun How do I look now after 4km walk, I reached Al Shindagah dist, and had to make a stop at a mosque. Al Shindagah، I don't know how to pronounce it correctly From this same spot, Modern Dubai started 180 years ago, 800 people from Bani Yas tribe migrated and settled here and their prince was from Al-Maktoum family This is the hous of Shiekh Khalifa bin Saed Al-maktoum it seems that he was very rich because it's not a house, its a palace. the reason all the building is made of sand, is because of the desert nature of the area. - They changed it to Al-Fhidi its a copy of the area before it Now the real adventure begins Now am at the beginings of Dubai, next to the airport and I want to catch ney year celebrations in Dubai Mall its about 12km walk its around 3 to 4 hour walk Now i covered 11KM will take a 5 minute break I need to get something to eat Enough break, let's go to Dubai Mall Had to stop at a grocery shop for lunch Bread costs 1 AED Lunch plan as follows: 1. stop next to a shawerma place 2.you smell and take a bite and start imaging eating a Shawerma waw!! thier Shawerma is the best I like the Mousque's toilets system in UAE you place your shoes there, and the floor is very clean you can use the slippers to use the toilets and keep everything clean in 1960 oil was discovered in UAE oil + some resources + planning with a vision they created the dream city... this city This is the tower, I'm almost there it's weird but when you're hungry, your sense of smell of food is +5 doubled Can you see these people, they're eating Shawerma Dubai is like Sauid , they have family entrance and singles entrance Finally in Dubai Mall usully I smell perfumes when I enter, but now i mell food lets get some free deserts It has toffee It is so delicious and I'm soo hungry Now am at the biggest mall in the world it doesnt stop there... Dubai Mall has the biggest HD screen in the world The biggest aquarium in the world The highest tower in the world The best of everthing This year's NY celebration won't be just lights and firworks it will be a Guinness record laser show I hope to get near the tower and get some good shots but you can't get near unless you have a restaurant reservation restaurants are placing their tables in the tower space for the people. 1500 AED 1 table He thinks I'm joking Entrance is for families only But with the crowd I pretended to call my Mom this crowd reminds me of Hajj season I found a spot and am sitting on a Tram rails But the whole place is shut down so no cars no Tram and am facing the tower unexpected piece of chocolate The place is big, a circular area around the mall and everybody is gathered all over this area. and the number keeps on increasing check out the amount of Lasers I think Dubai's government can't sleep well without breaking a new record. The entered the Guinness record as the biggest Laser show in the world The show was awesome But it was just for 6 minute, and I waited for 5 hours I wished they ended it with Fireworks Finally a water cooler next to a house, May God bless them So Thirsty.. Now my friend, its dinner time Now I need a place to sleep I decided to sleep on a beach and I found a 5km beach near me Remeber the KHoor we crossed by the tunnel this is the other side of it but now I'm crossing it over the bridge My friends, I'm exhausted and sleepy am out of energy Google map is acting up !! this beach is still under construction. All this distance went for nothing Plan B is to walk another 7km There's a beach next to Burj Al-Arab i hope its open now I almost can't feel my feet my back is killing me Not much left, only 3 more kilometers my friend 3km is not a big number, you can do it I forgot the name of this but you can see Alarab tower over there I'll find me a spot to ley on. I think this spot would do the job and the waves are fighting the shore I will sleep like this.. Good night evreybody That was a cold night sleep woke up shivering its wired how Dubai can be cold it was a wired experiment, don't know how I got it But i enjoyed it a lot we always hear that Dubai is expensive So I figured to visit Dubai with the minimum budget possible Now I can say I spent 24 hours with only 1 SAR Equals to 1 AED It did worked out, but its a hard work I walked for like 50K steps, and 34km it feels good to do something new in the beginning of the new year Anyway, my advice to you in 2018, travel my friend what are you waiting for?
