2021 Jayco Jay Flight SLX8 264BH Walkthrough

hi i'm alex and i'm angela and we're here with gnr camping world winnipeg's largest and most experienced rv service center and winnipeg's only rv care dealership today we've got the 2021 jayco jay flight slx 264 bh this unit weighs just under 4 900 pounds and sleeps up to 10 people so now we're going to go over some features and benefits of this unit right at the front we have a power tongue jack so really easy just a press of the button up and down and then it's got a nice led light on the front as well so if you're hooking up at night you can see what you're doing two 20 pound propane tanks with the hard cover so that cover is going to look nice and keep your propane tanks nice and clean and then the 20 pound tanks are really easy just to exchange at any or most gas stations we also have the rock guard at the front so that's going to help protect your trailer from road debris right at the front we have a huge pass-through storage that goes right through it's also accessible from underneath the bed which we will demonstrate when we go inside the trailer so we have a power awning with integrated speakers and an integrated led strip i'll show you how easy this is that extends eight feet out it's really nice if it's you know wind picks up and you need to put your awning in uh super easy just a flick of the button and it's in the speaker is already built in you don't have to bring bluetooth speakers with you or anything like that so that's nice and easy and convenient and then the led strip as well lights up your campsite right away you don't have to be stringing up lights when you show up we're already there for you extra large grab handle this is a great safety feature you're going in and out of the trailer kids are running in and out really quick it's easy to grab this not like the smaller handles that can be missed especially grandparents or grandparents as well yeah safety first much easier we've got good year endurance tires on here as well north american tires just thicker sidewall better overall tire this unit does feature a fireside window as well so we'll take a look at that when we go inside but you can be sitting at the dinette and you're looking right out at your campsite instead of your neighbors this unit was ordered with the chill in store option so you've got a fridge right on the outside you put all your drinks snacks in there and you don't have to be going in and out of the trailer while you're all outside and some extra storage right beside it as well that goes right underneath the lower bunk as well so we'll take a look at the back of this unit we've have the ladder that'll go right up to the roof makes it a lot easier for doing maintenance or say you pull into a campsite and you're not sure if you bumped into a tree you can get up there really quickly and take a look spare tire with cover conveniently located at the back and this unit is also pre-wired for a backup camera so if you did want to install a backup camera just makes it a lot easier the wiring is already there for you right on shall we go inside and take a look we also have i'll just mention briefly there's an outside shower on the opposite side here hot and cold water and it also features black tank flush so i'll explain that really quickly uh what that is it's a nice maintenance feature there's sprayers built into your black tank already you hook a hose up to uh the outside outlet and it just cleans out that black tank for you thank you sidewalls clean mm-hmm alright so you got your master bedroom right up front walk around queen bed uh so easy to make the bed you're not crawling over each other in the middle of the night if you have to go to the washroom this one has a nice blue light accent up top it's all led lighting throughout the trailer and they can all be turned on or off individually if you like as well this master bedroom does have a curtain as well for privacy uh this unit is pre-wired for solar so if you wanted to get a monitor and solar panels that's easy just uh you can just plug it in on the outside of your trailer direct your battery you can also have a monitor installed right here as well if you like outlets on either side of the bedroom too or at the side of the bed so your phone you need to charge it or if you have a cpap machine you're ready to go then you've got closets on both sides here you've got a hanger so you can hang up your clothes other side we've got two shelves and take a look at that under bed storage that's on the gas struts nice and easy you don't have to hold it up nice big thick piece of plywood under there as well all plywood throughout this trailer no particle board or chipboard nice and strong so we'll move on to the living room kitchen area so this unit does feature a sofa this can be put down into additional sleeping of course you can move the cushions around if you like with a little bit of storage underneath as well easy to go up and down then you have the double sink with the gooseneck faucet so easy you got big pots and pans you can get right under there easy to clean you can use one side for drying so you don't have to put the dishes away right away another nice feature you'll see on all of our windows are instead of just a little piece of fabric you're getting a hardwood valance on every window looks really nice we'll take a look at the storage here as well so we've got one two full extensions on these drawers by the way so you're not searching in the back of them and 75 pound capacity on those drawers as well exactly storage underneath the sink lots of storage up top and again those are real wood that's real wood cabinetry throughout mortise and tenon joints screwed and glued handcrafted by the amish in indiana so a very solid um very solid craftsmanship so of course you've got a microwave here you'll have a three burner this uh comes with a glass top so it gives you more counter space which is really nice when you're not using it and then when you do use your cooktop it acts as a splash guard very nice nice again blue accent lighting got your little oven there for fries baking cookies whatever you want two-way double door fridge the stainless steel look on the outside this one is gas or electric so say you want to do some boondocking you can run your fridge off propane or if you're plugged into a campsite of course you would want to run that off uh 110. that's a six cubic foot right it's a six cubic feet yes so nice feature of this one i might let you get in here quickly take a look at that the sink is outside of the bathroom so you got someone in there showering or you got someone in there using the bathroom and you want to brush your teeth or do your hair wash your hands it's separate so it's a little bit nicer especially if this unit is going to sleep up to 10 people a little bit more convenient and then of course you've got the skylight above the shower which adds for a little bit more head space for the taller folks foot flush toilet you already have a toilet paper holder installed so jacob's thought of that for you as well a little more convenient and then of course you have a ceiling fan as well okay let's talk about these bunk beds double over double bunk beds both with a 600 pound capacity both have windows in each bunk bed and lights so no kids fighting over which one gets the window you'll see how they both have a lot of headroom as well you don't have those tiny narrow um you know cave-like cave like bunks um they're both very spacious you also have extra thick four inch thick bunk mats and again plywood plywood plywood why is plywood good um particle board versus plywood plywood will be 10 stronger also particle board when it gets wet it will eventually disintegrate and fall apart whereas plywood will not do that so definitely good to have you've got two usb chargers in this one and you've got a regular outlet in this one as well so lots of uh the kids can charge up all their appliances or all their electronics yeah uh we got we ordered this unit with a tv so you can order it with or without but it's in a nice convenient spot right here we've got am fm dvd cd auxiliary bluetooth hdmi so you were ready to go here and then again lots of overhead storage tons of storage in this unit you got storage underneath the dinette as well and again like i mentioned outside this is a fireside window so say you're inside maybe you're cooking or you're sitting at the table the kids are outside or if it's raining but you still got the fire going you can look out on your campsite not at your neighbors and then more storage underneath the dinette on both sides so you don't take all the cushions off and and take the the plywood uh board off and you know search through everything it's just right there a lot of people get bins easy to slide in and out let's talk about the ducted ac that goes right through the roof and you're gonna have even cooling the vents are also directional so you can change those to whatever you want yeah whichever way you want and you can shut them off individually if you like as well so that's an awesome
