hello everybody and welcome along to Canada this is our annual trip north of the border for the inside weather tech sportscar championship and we're just about an hour an hour and 15 minutes depending on traffic up the 4 or 1 East and slightly north from Toronto to Borman ville and to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park 2.4 miles and 10 corners that has been challenging the best in the world on two and four wheels since the early 1960s action areas to come at turn five Moss corner big braking area there but has been a bit of resurfacing good on there and resealing overnight into the extremely fast turn eight nine and ten at the end of the lab as well expect to see some action there but also diving down the inside into the first corner the downhill right-hander it's a real challenge for all of the teams and they are happy to be here and Jeremy Shaw alongside me in our Porsche keys to the race in Michigan countdown to green a few minutes ago we were talking about this being a sprint race and how people will have to start quickly but an element of patience has to remain particularly in the early part there is the old adage is if you can't win the race at the first corner but you can certainly lose it yeah and to finish first first you have to finish I mean you know those two outages are oh so true and here you know traffic is going to be a big factor here because the GTD cars you know they're committed to their lines around the corner sees the prototypes that the downforce is such that cars are so planted they have a bit more leeway as to where they can run in the corner so they can kind of alter their line to cope from where the GTD cars are but it's very easy to be held up around here or on different parts of track and that's where the patience factor comes in if you push the envelope there's going to be an incident fuel is going to be an issue at least not an issue but certainly a concern for some of the categories particularly the front of the field Jeremy yeah I think the certainly most of the team think I'm going to be struggling to do much more than the thirty minutes I don't think they're even a better rate reached 35 on a full green flat-out fuel stint so I think there's going to be some saving involved I think the pace in the early stages of the race is probably going to be fairly conservative tires will be an issue for others particularly in GT lamorne their fuel is not so much the determining factor but how they look after their mission at times particularly early in the stint I think so I think from what I can gather that if you push too hard too soon that's going to come back and bite you later in the stint so once again they're going to have to be a little bit of conservative driving think in the early stages and then the latter part of the race that's when that's when the gloves are going to come off chatter [ __ ] Adam first of all share is it it is everybody made it out on track the last car to roll out was that number of 44 Magnus racing Lamborghini all of the cars are currently on their way around the circuit and we should remind people that we are down one race car from when we started this weekend the 48 Paul Miller racing car sustained damage and one of the practices on Friday will not be taking part in the race today yeah that's a shape for those guys they've not had a good run of it in their defense of the championship so why don't we expect to see at the start of the race accurate Mazda at the front two rules the best that Cadillacs is the number 31 wheel engineering car what do you do on Jeremy because I've got to I've got to see that track position here he's quite poor well I think it is so I'm sure that Jonathan Bomarito from the outside of the front row he's going to want to try and take the lead if he possibly can but Elliott Castronovo certainly isn't going to give anything away we saw a tremendous battle in the closing stages one week ago between the Acuras and the mousers clearly the Masters there had the edge on speed no question about that but they had to find a way put first of all past what Pablo Montoya who was in the lead and very keen on keeping it he wasn't able to earn on occasion but it took a really bold pass from Harry Tincknell to prize Juan Pablo Montoya out on the lead in that race here though the cars between Acura and unmask has seemed to be a lot more closely matched we never we never suspected going into the race one week ago that the Masters we're going to be so far ahead on race pace I don't think we're gonna see the same thing here but again I was surprised one week ago but I do think the Cadillacs are going to be closer on race pace here than they were at what kins Glen so I do believe we're in for a pretty exciting races afternoon and it's great to it we've got such a good crowd on hand to witness it well you and I went out deterred to earlier on just before the Porsche race and the crowds then were big they are huge now sheer Adam looking across town towards turn one on the Front Street at a huge I can't remember seeing any more people here and I'll say that I don't think there could be many more people here jump this is fantastic thank you guys for coming out to the race track I know the drivers are gonna put on a show and let's make Canada proud the Mobil 1 sports car Grand Prix presented by accurate back-to-back races and then just a week before at Lime Rock Park this is the the meat of the season now and this way is where championships Jeremy Shaw can be won and lost here very much sir and let's hope there's no repeat of the opening it's not me lap incident of a week ago at Watkins Glen where one of the Corvettes and the number 33 AMG Mercedes and GTD were taken out of the race and various other cars were compromised as well so again that that patience factor I think has to come into play here you know these first few corners around the lap well the whole lap here it's super fast and it demands total commitment but you've got a temper that commitment sometimes final thoughts from you Jeremy from particularly the GT lamont class BMWs very very competitive here yeah very interesting I mean they pulled out all the stops in qualifying thing they concentrated on qualifying and they had come to different strategies on their cars for qualifying one was only going to ever do that one lakh for Jesse crow the other car was out a little bit longer that explains the difference between those two the great flag is in hand now it's in the air and we're racing at the for the one sports car Grand Prix presented by accurate and it is an Acura that leads down into the first corner of the first lap as Elio Castroneves gets a picture-perfect start he's already over the top of the skylight and into turn two over the top of the patch that's running very well indeed 31 red white car knees not a fluke NASA who's under pressure from the Mazda in behind him Tristan Nunez trying to call through there in fact oh he's got past that so that's a position and a start that's a very good start indeed so we've got Acura master accurate add to that really good start by Philippe Manasseh brilliant start by Philippe now Tony Hughes he was all over the second Cadillac come on ty they took Montoya all about tourists get skills to keep it behind him and do their took a kind of defensive line around the outside that kept the Cadillac behind but that was a really good start by Felipe Nasr the cuckoo's car they caliber 50 that got on the grass car the first quarter there's a challenge though side-by-side Tudor mom extraordinary stuff and they're almost side by side into the vinyl corner well that tells you everything you need to know about Jonathan renewing the number 55 master master Abuk tick in their first win since 2012 in the American LeMans series last weekend and they're here to tell you and anyone that listens in fact anyone that doesn't want to listen that wasn't a flash in the pan they are back we are winners says John deunan it was a Mazda dear last Sunday will it be a repeat master day today clearly John it Jeremy Shaw early off the intent is very much that that will be the kid yeah I think that master must be pretty fleet on the Straits will see one night sort of next he gets here from boss corner to get him onto the Mario Andretti straight maybe we can challenge again at the top of the hill but this time around certainly Castronovo has got a good run out of moss corner and he's got it one at 10 or 12 car lead as they head up the hill interesting in gtlm dove second of the BMW's top rookies you've got elbow back from second on the grid to fifth on that opening lap and just at nought for scope you said a number of other people they call car should have stopped the poor position but decided against it they changed the driver and put a new set of michelin's on so that is immediately them sent to the back of the class and that's where they have started with John Bennett already gone by will oil and sitting in tenth position you third place car and it's a Mazda that is God through that the Mazda TPI Tristan unis has got fourth place car excuse me meantime in GT LeMond yes he could on from Paul leads from Ryan Briscoe at the Ford then the two Porsches in third and fourth it's still the BMW of Romney falling that leads in GT deer torn ahead of Trent hitman in the Acura NSX in the Porsche Oh sakurami shock watch that number nine portion in the black colors both that and the 73 car very quick in warmup this morning those Porsches coming to life in these slightly cooler temperatures forecast to get up to the mid 20s just under 80 degrees Fahrenheit here today it was very pleasantly cool around about 18 19 degrees during morning warm-up earlier on today first flying lap a fastest lap therefore earlier Castro versus new let them do that record in in the Emsworth tech sportscar championship 107.11 that beats the year captain the record last year set by ten camera 107 point two this year its tristan Nunez on lap two it's so true some new years it gets a new lap record fraction too quick at 107 point one or three in the Masters number 77 we breezed past the number 31 Cadillac at the end of lap 2 I love the mat in Australia Hayes tweeted at him to rid your 3 a.m. where he is in Australia so he's speaking to us from the future but settling in for a very early morning risk for them and it looks already to be a crack at 2 hours and 40 started on the clock with 5 minutes near enough into it at the moment as the leaders of stream through the first part of the lap but now the GT Livan cars down at the bottom of turn 2 Castroneves just pulled out enough to bring the tour between himself and Jonathan Bomarito heading into turn 880 miles an hour plus coming over the top of that rise as you take a deep breath and set yourself up for the fast right-hander insanely quick right-hander at turn number 8 live from tracks items a video at Ames a TV together now settling in for a maybe a long road let's see what the tactics are for these DPI cars ran about half an hour maybe as much as thirty five minutes but not much more than that for these cars on a full tank of fuel here this track over one hundred and thirty four mile an hour average during qualifying absolutely extraordinary pace being short and the leanest already looking at the back of the field and having to think about some lap traffic now fortunately for Castroneves it's on the mario andretti straight from the leading pair are pulling away accurate number seven miles to number 55 that's first and second accurate number seven Montoya from distant Nunez in Mazda number 77 shiaas not close enough the master does pull up a little bit but it needs to help Jeremy I think a big right under the rear aerofoil of that accurately rx in front of it when it comes out of the moss complex it's just not quite got enough fish to pull along and do it without the assistance of the draft no but it certainly is a little bit quicker on the straight there than the than the Acura and we'll see whether there's going to be a factor within the next few minutes maybe as the tires degrade a little bit or will they would we shall see one minutes seven point four last time for ket Elia Castroneves and he's got the number 55 carved on Zimbabwe tow right on his tail and there behind him it's it's a mirror image for third and fourth of Montoya and Nunez [Music] great battling further down the field as well as will oil and John Bennett going at it I went down the inside at turn five most corners sorta got half three-quarters the way alongside but backed out of it they're back at that part of the track right now that was a lap or saw a go you can't afford to be half-hearted in your passing here you Jeremy that should have been one of our Porsche keys to the rear shouldn't it to be honest if you're gonna golfer and be decisive get alongside and get alongside as early as possible yeah it must have been a spinner for the number 33 of both men in heating yeah he's dropped we're down it's a good call Jeremy it's been a fabulous qualifying for the man from Texas he has dropped away just a little bit leaders in traffic now in behind the 720 get used to it yeah absolutely and there goes the pass for the lead look towards turn four all the Boston almost the opportunity made there by Bommarito in traffic the weathertech Ferrari right in amongst the leaders there as they go through that was started by Cooper McNeill he does a pretty good job then the second pair we'll call that a tree or now because Philippe Manasseh is right there leading pair 7 and 55 Castroneves and Bommarito cutting through traffic and the master mrs. Claus I've seen it might got the right outside to turn it does do down the inside doesn't get the overlap has to drop back in now the Nexus is the next car that will go a lap down to the leaders it's Richard I stunts in that number 12 car sorry Frankie Monte Carlo in the 12 car they've already got past Richard down towards turn pod and for a moment and your Castroneves has clear air in front of it but only for a moment one minute eleven point two four seconds that costs them in traffic and that's where we were talking about patience being so important here but for the race leader here particularly for Elia Castro nervous you know he's got a working way through the traffic and still keeping out in his mirrors to make sure that when the years held up it's not curtain of wear it's not question of if it's when then he wants to make sure that Jonathan Bomarito isn't able to steal a march on her and sneak through [ __ ] Adam down in the pit lane has been watching what's been going on early on as betting his drop-down share what do you reckon just a little bit of detective work and Jeremy can perhaps clarify this but it makes sense that maybe it was contact with the 14 Lexus that would have sent Ben further back through the field because the 14 Lexus crew about two minutes round about there maybe a little bit more likely to appear in front Lee Monty kelvil I would have thought if it was one of the Lexus because that was the sort of area that Ben was but we'll have we ended up yeah well he had been running in contact with a 14 across the line through cuz Jonathan Bomarito and now the two Lexus are behind so it's Bommarito Castroneves and Montoya fantastic move by the 55 car using the skill and the advantage of the smallest mortar in the field is 2 2 litre turbocharged but my goodness it revs and it does pull it is the little engine that can up to turn five now so with 15 minutes gone that's how long it's taken for Mazda to get back to the lead that was the battle one week ago mazda vs. Acura and it went the way of the 55 car I like coming together at turn two that's the young course number 50 prototype with will Owen at the wheel and I think that was the 74 of Val Robinson in the Lord Stark oMG now if I just drifted a little bit out from the inside line it was the lightest of touches over the top of the hill a turn to you to get light there and the pass for the lead in the middle of turn five coming out of it there was traffic ahead it was Trent Hinman that was right there and inadvertently played his part in just making and your Castroneves have to lift and a brilliant move to the left-hand side on the mario andretti straight the just held Castroneves in behind Robbie for Lee's BMW and maybe just had to bring ease off the throttle for a second or a fraction of a second and that was all that the Mazda man needed the arty 24p lead to the ship at the number 55 car and has pulled away by a second and a half yeah because he said a new fastest lap last time around 107 points zero one five before Jonathan Bomarito in the lead so look it looks like we are seeing what we saw last week and all of a sudden on race day the Masters have found a different gear we thought during practice they were being a little bit k2 you probably concentrating on the race rather than ultimate speed we thought though we would see how fast the Masters really worked when we got into qualifying yesterday afternoon while they were far they were pretty quick but third lap time wise was the best second magical started second with Kali Fran and the court order sport team deciding to change the started driver and have John Bennett do the opening stint but now Jonathan Bomarito is in the lead and he's he's looking very very strong indeed and the second card number 77 up into third place as well Tristan Nunez has found his way what past mourn pablo montoya but hanging right in there with those two is Philippe Manasseh and the best of the Cadillacs at the moment in terms of the strategy there it was basically get to the front of the field as quick as you could took 15 minutes for Jonathan Bomarito but he's there and now they can control the wrist Jeremy and that that's a huge tactical advantage there to master team Yoast yeah it is you know they can now the cook kind of controlled the race from here he's not going to anybody breathing down his neck at least not at the moment and with a bit of clear track ahead of him he's going to take full use for that he's now already stretching out that lead over the second place Acura in GT deer tour net still the pmw but leading from accurate second Porsche third lexis fourth top four cars different manufacturers nor Odie's in the field today the more speed car which we had expected to see here that car was damaged too badly last week at Watkins Glen this is for Mike who's just asked about the Audi's so the MER speak are still being repaired the Starworks car well they've drawn that car because they don't feel they're getting the performance out of it that they should be and as they said in their press release during the week we're not hang at the drive around at the back there played their tactical cards very well at Watkins Glen and led the race for a while but we're always going to be short on fuel towards the end of the race the land the land motorsport guys weren't tuned to be here there were going to be doing some of their other commitments they were only do for the longer races they didn't come for Watkins Glen either it was a scheduling conflict so no outies in the field sorry lads work it what kids weren't there so nor out ease in the GTD field today we hope to see Peter Behrens star wars car but later on in the season unabashed in the door in the battle for the lead rent hitmen going for a gap that was closing very quickly and there's still side-by-side touching down the law a fast mario andretti straight and the stewards looking at the touch between the 74 AMG Lord stark are in young boss who would you tap it the looks what was happening now that BMW has been the fastest car on the straights and key GD all weekend long with short a graphic illustration of their pulled that probably three car lengths over the Acura having come out of the corner pretty much side by side so in the turn five that just paint past by one of the p2 cars the 38 know I mean he saw an opportunity there and yeah there was an opportunity at least briefly so you know ete look for it and he was kind of alongside but but not not fully that's for sure scottish [ __ quick Cadillac in race update before it all changes Mazda lanes in the shape if Jonathan Bomarito the 55 car by three and a half seconds over Elio Castroneves in the seven Acura their new 3rd place for Tristan Nunez he's got ahead of white Montoya and Eaton right on the tail of Castro never told me to begin another one too for Mazda in lmp2 at least the 38 canvas on that leads from the 52 car but they are already 10 seconds apart after that run through traffic in GT LeMond from pole position the SE cron leads for BMW and team r ll from Ford GT number 67 the blue and orange car of Ryan Briscoe then the first the Porsches in the 911 Patrick pillar they are two and a half seconds apart those three in GT tier torn an even tighter top three car separate by less than a second BMW then they accurate they've both been very close together recently so closer than they could probably smell what each other had for lunch it is the 96 BMW that lays with Robbie for Lee then Trent Hinman in second place for the black and pink accurate and in third place they hit number 9 they planned Porsche of Zachary Robbie shot it was a spin on his all four been heating I think in the 33 car that threw him further down the standings that he would have liked that is she Cadillac in race update with Cadillac V series because races don't take days off there we are what 20 minutes in or there abouts and already movement in the pool in that's when they went off on the exit of turn 10 the 84 JDC Miller Motorsports Cadillac into the pit lane they jumped up on the wall fuel and tires only Stephen Simpson not they're ready in English first will be seven trimmer for at least one more stint and those are scrub Michelin tires pretty standard stop here but there's a lot more movement up and down the pit lane a second driver well if second drivers get in now the starting drivers will have to get back in because it's a 45-minute minimum drive time and we're nowhere near that at the moment for certainly for GT t in lmp2 across that that doesn't apply for the broad classes it's normally five or ten minutes in these shorter races and we're already over that of course 3.1 seconds the head of the field is Castroneves has pulled a little bit of time back that last time around and as I said that of course he loses it again on the next lap of one or eight no he did pull up at a time back laps before we see cars coming in and that's why the guys are getting ready on the pit lane it's an exceptionally short lap here for the front running cars under 70 seconds about 67 66 seconds a best lap was 60 6.9 seconds and that's Jonathan Bomarito who got that about five laps ago in the leading Mazda a Porsche keys to the race track position watch your fuel and tires remember though it's a sprint race you mere have to be patient well it took 15 minutes for the number 55 to get to the head of the field now incident responsibility warning on the on the screen for the 85 car Michiko perk in that corner I wonder if that is the 85 or maybe that's the 86 Trent Hinman who we saw in contact with the class leader earlier on I'll confirm that for you in a way moments time but at the moment that's a strike against me she going perky the JDC Miller Motorsport bright yellow Cadillac brought a tight filling alba kirk what's in his fastest lap of the race in the Cadillac number five 107 7 the dark grim was done something machine big angular cars on the under any straight and the leader is in there and trying to put laps on the GTD cars that GT LeMond a cars actually yeah and the lmp2 second place Karl's Wurlitzer Dalton Keller to the we load number 52 for PR one Mathis and Motorsports he started this race and present a Brady 4k okay the 84 car after its pitstop has now gone a lap down to the mass loss and the car that loses out is the Corvette had to go very wide it's turn one as the race leader was diving down the inside of two cars and it was a very close call indeed that the number three Corvette has got Joey hand behind him and lost a lot of ground there for yan Magnussen he'll have dirty Michelin tires now as well having run right round the outside of turn war now the battle coming through for second position overall and Magnussen has to be very aware of what's going on there's three cars battling for second in the TPI categories they're head of the Maus corner outstanding stuff from all of these drivers having the mental ability and agility to drive these race cars on one of the fastest circuits the name secures to was all the while battling with competitors who want the same piece of rod that you've got and letting the faster cars come through and knowing where they're going to go through extraordinary stuff Martin Jones has just tweeted in he says I'm loving this it's basically the equivalent of having the LMS at Knockhill that's brilliant really absolutely brilliant analogy it will make sense to anyone who is interested in motor racing in the UK you're not far off actually a little bit longer round here but very much the same feeling that they circuit up hill and down dale and it's a beautiful old-school circuit and the current management should be congratulated in keeping the character of the circuit as it has been since 1961 challenging the drivers and the engineers to get a car that works around here and there to get someone who is prepared to come and drive it earlier on of the very ragged edge of the ragged edge but of a second now up with the two Porsches which are in third and fourth position nine eleven and nine twelve in those Brumos tribute colors under the mortal world breach and heading on to thee by iron directly straight to Icarus and the Mazda battling for second and the master number 77 Tristan Nunez just having a little stinger worthy of the insider the very fast boy had to return it there's traffic ahead and that is the second place GT LaVon cards out the inside I was very close in deep on the Master Hanako through because one Montoya was sniffing the exhaust there of the 2-liter turbocharged Mazda r/t 24p cannot take your eyes off this Jeremy you can turn and it is so it's so difficult yes it's physically and mentally demanding but for all the drivers in this field because just look at the last lap the number 55 car pulled out three seconds over nothing over that battle for second place which is super super tight and that was pure as a result of the traffic and you know that's it's the ebbs and flows here that you've just gotta keep in the back of your mind as a driver and you know you can lose time at some stage and you know also the guys you're battling with are gonna lose time as well it just might be at different times amazing for me and if you've got the ability to go on the master on ports wherever you are in the world if you've got to the master sports site you can look at the master off boards particularly looking at the 55 and 77 Mazdas look at the right front wheel and see how that as the car gets faster and faster the aerodynamic downforce pushes that way into the gap in the top of the fender where the louvers normally I it's just an almond area there to vent the out of the loop pressure point underneath the wheel arch very very close moment job Bennet was the other prototype involved going past the Corvette a turd number Warren Yan Magnuson somehow all there was a little touch actually but Yan Magnuson managing to use all of his experiences now 151 starts with Corvette Racing to keep that car roughly on the street and Darrell yeah just look at the the deflection on the tire they comes right up through that hole in the bodywork hey good maybe half three quarters but each mere me a little bit more which is a lot of movement on a racing car and that's how much the arrow is working and pushing that car into the ground very very impressive piece of engineering that indeed Jonathan Bomarito using it to his best advantage now eight seconds ahead of Eleanor Castroneves and Tristan Nunez with Kwan Montoya right there and coming to join them for a bit of fun the first that Cadillacs the 31 Philippe at NASA in the red white Whelan cars he cuts through the traffic as well yeah he's lost another fair bit over the last handful of laps or so in the gap from NASA to the battle in front of him it's around that for second tickets that's actually stabilized out of about four seconds it's about four or five laps ago that the gap suddenly went out to that from just a few car lengths so you know all the leaders here running pretty similar lap times when they can get some clear traffic and that's not very often change it in the top of GT LeMond as the Ford GT of Ryan Briscoe's dropped from second down to fourth position balls Patrick Bailey and Lauren sponsor and their 911 and 912 Porsches have gone through and now have three seconds to hunt down or have a three-second gap before they can hunt down the leader still Yesi grant who started from poor position of course in that category in GT LeMond then it's BMW Porsche Porsche Ford BMW Corvette Ford and Chevy Corvette myself ESDA still only eleven and a half call at eleven point eight seconds away from the class leader in GT lamont it's closed up in lmp2 as well Jeremy was nine seconds now under five between Kellett and mass on campus on leading in that number 38 car and that's been a good Drive by both of those young drivers Dalton Kel it's a PR at one Matheson motorsport has closed down on the leader traffic I'm sure playing its part there as well trying to keep an eye on all four classes at the same time never an easy thing to do this is such an intense race track in terms of what's going on even on the long straight which as we keep seeing isn't a straight there's still things do be thought about from the drivers that we checking their gauges here's the battle for second on that part the track now and for a Mormon Montoya fat Montoya has gone through someone toy it goes through into third position ahead of the Mazda so the master for a moment or two ago Tristan Nunez was battling with Castroneves and now finds himself back down in fourth certainly this is a golden golden deer and with the lap times we saw earlier on in the week that we've not seen for a decade and more DPI racing announcing itself as if we didn't already know taking its place at the very highest echelons of international motor racing so we were just wondering how the Mazda lost its third position going round the outside of a figurehead or through two and three nothing wrong from Bayer but the 77 car with Tristan Nunez picked the wrong side really and went off onto the green onto the dirt and that was all that juan Montoya needed and so when we saw them side by side on the back straight later on the same lap that was the Mazda trying to come back and retake that third position dirty michelin's I would have thought for Tristan Ynez would have hampered his progress just a little bit so eleven seconds between first and second and then barely a couple of seconds between the next three cars Castro nervous quad Montoya and twisting unions accurate accurate and then that dark metallic red Saul crystal red Mazda which sometimes looks black in sunshine extraordinary color in lmp2 still Savage River hot Suisse leading for the 38 that's down there just over 4 seconds now that leaders don't Callen is fighting his way back towards the leader that's been a good drive by Dalton least let think set down a little bit the gap went out in the 9 seconds at one stage in the traffic but he's carved himself down took a few deep breaths in so just starring a real kind of a Sun in a tiny bit yeah certainly it has been a good drive by the 25-year old dr. Cal it's good to see him taking this opportunity to get aboard a sports car here and he's taken full advantage of the opportunity with the PR one Mathis Motorsports team his teammate Matt McMurray is immediately drop down the order it is such a short lap here you're gonna fall absolutely no problems in the pits what about Porsche keys to the race you have to execute in the pitch here Adam he's down at Acura Team Penske it looks like it's gonna be a pretty standard stop to the number six Acura Team Penske dpi as well if you've got a guy who's won this race twice before you'll want to put him in the car as quickly as possible and that's exactly what they've done one Pablo Montoya walking casually over cameron has already put his seen insert and himself behind the wheel of the number six brand-new they do have stickers on them just waiting on the final left rear tire soon gone car drops off the air jacks the fuel nozzle still attached Dane revs the engine as he is known to do Lynn Jordan Taylor has gone through and has not yet stopped so that car is leading the race so I'll expect to see that the the glossy black Cadillac and it even as I say that of course it does come into the pits this time around so how far ahead is Jonathan Bomarito has he still managed to have that 12 seconds I reckon he's actually extended about 12 seconds by at least a couple or three and we'll check that as they come back around meantime Ricky Taylor out of the cunning of an altar Cadillac excuse me a job Taylor out of that kinnikuman Minolta Cadillac finger fonda Xander gets in new set a Michelin's going on there a full tank of fuel steering 19 seconds for the moment the door is closed under 20 seconds so now they're just waiting for the fuel and that bright yellow helmet and brain gap installs himself 31 32 seconds from stop to core pretty impressive stop by the wind tiller a sick guys so that's the first round of pit stops for the DPI cars coming well that was actually the Cadillac that winter Larissa Cadillac winter about 38 minutes Jeremy which was a little further than we expected those guys to go that was with a couple of formation laps as well yeah that's right the the first couple guys who were in about 35 minutes and you know that's a pretty pretty good pace in the early state to me we've got new new lap record times there and even through traffic they were running in the sevens the old lap record here was 107 point two so it's certainly been a good place and I think they're all 106.9 for Jonathan Bomarito half tingle because Dean Cameron is just in a 7 - and he did a cracking out lap and he's cooked that lead which was nearly 12 seconds down to 3.4 I thought that might have got out there because it looked like such a good stop but what do I know Dean Cameron in the 6 car now ahead of Ricky Taylor each teammate by 2.6 second this Ricky Taylor who's now responding he's set the fastest lap of the race as well on this lap so the that lead the lead by the way on the lap before the pit stop he came down from 12 seconds down a 7-hour heavy traffic but now it's come back a lot it's been half from there now between two of the pom Rita and Dane Cameron Oh Lee Jarvis down into the sixes as well 106 nine so all of the leading cars doing their best laps on their first out of the pit and that's with a full fury Lord and in Nusa Michelin's main time the GT LeMond battle continues and Marcel Fassler well it's not my selfishness it's wholly governed I saw him get into that car so bali-ba League of has gone a lap down to the class leader but performance tech after the pit stop so those two cars have swap rounds and there are 17 seconds between those two so car mossad must have had some kind of problem GT LeMond waiting for the top cars to only hope to have a good result here we're uh all accounts are kind of in their own and their own race kind of impact so we're kind of going off strategy we started saving fuel right in the beginning and extended it over I think four laps over a couple guys two laps over a couple others so hopefully it'll pay off for the now does it need to stay green in order for your strategy to pay off I mean at this point yeah I think if it goes as is we can do one last stop so that would be ideal we'll see a long way to go hey fingers crossed for you thank you thank you wow that is a bold statement for the number-10 Cadillac bring your father's under there in seventh position in the number tanker but they have set their sights on a potentially full green race and trying to do one fewer pit stop then the other prototypes you can't make that decision in the middle of a race no Jeremy you've got to set your stall out early and that's clearly what they've done they're there if they've done the calculations and the record it must be close yeah they stretch down there they're fitted three more laps and number six car they're gonna be that they made it to almost 40 minutes which is about what you need to the 2040 minute race to that standard a 60 minutes 60 minutes so you need to do it you need to have 40 minutes since if we could do that maybe you can you can get to the end or on on one let's pit stops and then the other guys it's it's it's more margins in this sport and if there's a yellow that strategy goes out of the window but if it doesn't if it is read all the way he brings us car in the GTV championship and it's not a good day for the hometown girls just simple fuel tires and Super Mario well what happened that went very very wide in the middle of turn five and actually went off the track and as he rejoined the 14 car was already at the apex to the corner now you could see it the fourteenth car was being a bit ambitious but you could also say it was an unsavory joy from school hardcore because he'd been completely off the track yeah I could see that going either way I've rather fear for the hometown Porsche team it couldn't go against Scott Hargrove because it was his mistake Jeremy that took him off the track therefore his responsibility to look to his right to see when he rejoined if there was someone there there really is I agree with you I think it was a harsh one and the 14 cars got behind the wall but yeah that was that's a great shame because the two front running cars they're the Lexus here they've had a good season they were they were struggling a little bit in the warm-up this morning with the kind of consistency in the car they're the kind of balance was on a knife-edge you go right it was great but just a little bit off one way and it was a bit of a struggle and they always have to look after their tyres of course is a really good job of managing that fine finally see the gtlm leader into the pits after almost an hour of racing yeah pretty much Ford a 911 car in as well [ __ ] Adam he's watching the first and second place cars in GT 11 to put there for the BMW it's about to fly because a pilot is being installed behind the wheel John Edwards taking over the 24 he's got new Michelin and a lot of fuel as for the 911 Porsche well it's Nick Tandy time Nick Tandy loves going fast this is gonna be they are also giving Nick four new Michelin tires and a lot of fuel the BMW is ruling and the Porsche is nowhere near ready the other driver side door is still open so the BMW should be out with plenty of spare room behind it I say that and the Porsche drops off the air jacks fires the inter backup fuel nozzle still attached the BMW is long gone though it's between those cars before the pit stops so it's not gonna be a risk out of the pit lane but the Porsche she'll be trying to get every single drop of fuel and interesting that they went to the same lap Jeremy as the leading BMW as back into the pit lane he's Ricky Taylor Filipe Albuquerque gone through and at philemon NASA's gone through as well and that is I think a single tire change to the left front [ __ ] Adam nope they do a staggered change for this car so false alarm there but they are doing fuel and four tires that scrubbed rubber onto the brake e-tailers Acura just to follow up really quickly while that's going on for the number fourteen likes us it is a broken steering rack that was a very nice stop for it the Acura team penske boys even though they did lose a wheel nut during that stop and one of the crew members managed to pull the spare one off his belt well that was only a twenty second stop in the box so they weren't in anywhere needing fuel and that was early shear so I need to ask them what they're doing there we've got exactly 100 minutes left to go and that's still two pit stops from there that there's nowhere that they could go 100 minutes on just one more pit stop so that was an extra stop I just wonder if they had a tire alarm or something like that that's gone in it's taking them completely off strategy Drive Thru for Scott Hargrove at the number nine faff Porsche unsafe rejoining of the track and that is incident responsibility with that broken steering rack for the 14 well done by the way for that Lexus getting but another pit if it had a broken steering right and they spotted that straight away fantastic stuff out on the circuit I think Jack would probably felt it oh yeah straight we're straight away under a hundred minutes to go that Jeremy let's do a Cadillac in race update in GTD with pit stops now completed billable and leads from super mario farm back in the 96 from the 86 from the 12 T Belle up into third position after that speed from the faff cast got hard girls going all the way down to ninth position and he will go further down after that after that pit stops or BMW number 96 leads 86 accurate in second the gap is 11 seconds three seconds further back Townsend Bell in the number 12 Lexus five seconds further back Patrick long in the number 73 that's the park place dark green Porsche in GT LeMond with their first pit stops completed it's Porsche out front Earl Bamber with the performance advantage of stopping early got some clear air and is pulled out nine seconds on the best at the BMW S which is the 24 car however in third position the second pmw the 25 just another two and a half seconds further back then the two for GT 67 Richard Westbrook from 66 then the second of the Porsche so Nick Tandy having that car steer out a very long time they have to put a lot of fuel in that car that did seem to be steered me a long time and he's dropped all the way down to sixth position ahead of the two Corvettes which is Garcia from Olly Gavin by about six seconds but Tonio Garcia right up in behind the number 911 and the front of the field Jonathan Bomarito leads did Cameron put Cameron is under real pressure now for second place Oh Lee Jarvis crosses the line about half a second behind the Acura and they are just about 14 seconds further back down the road and than the leader the best of the Cadillacs is Phillipe NASA who is in fourth position four wheel and engineering his teammate in the dark gray we must like suppling caste gives me his Filipe Albuquerque and he's back to the three seconds further park lmp2 and he's still till kill it after that pit stop turn around in the eleventh position overall who leads from Columbus on 52 from 38 that she Cadillac in RIT's update with Catholic v-series because real races don't take time off whew Jeremy what a cracking opening what our now to this race I mean this is a torrid pace you know it's been green all the way so far the pace at the front has been absolutely superb from Jonathan Bomarito made that pass at the beginning it stretches lead out now to 13 seconds over Dane Cameron they just doing a beautiful job thus far it's Jonathan Bomarito is fighting his way through the traffic but to that battle for second it's so tight a lap or so ago coming out of turn 11 Jarvis seemed to get a run on camera and B camera just able to keep him behind in an accurate car number six great turnaround for Porsche who have won the last four GT them on battles Earl Bamber really got his head down the Kiwi being the best use of Thor's new Michelin tires which he got what three or four laps earlier than next car behind it on the road is that they deliberate yeah I saw the flash through recently north and teal so I'll agree with that I'd like to see Ellie or antes full-course caution dance between penske with Ricky Taylor on board and on the front street at the same time is the leader so this is a very important part the risk me time in GTD the BMW and billable and still lead by nine seconds this is a great run by the Turner guys they've puts together a smashing and well balanced BMW m6 gt3 elegant elegant car that looks good as a broad car looks great as a race car rumor is that it could be an m4 that takes over as the gt3 car when the current lifespan of that m6 comes to an end now if that is true then that would be the first time in a while that BMW have had the same platform in two different categories at the mall at the m4 is the GT four car the m6 is the gt3 and the m8 is the GT lamont car I think we can expect regular pit stops for the leaders another five or six laps mean Tunder caliber 55 Jonathan Bomarito has been wheel enter that car since the start he turned his best lap of the race a couple of laps ago and a woman at 6.5 again the fastest lap at row set by Ricky Taylor back a little while ago back on that 34 we're now completed lap 57 58 as Bommarito go girls across the line but a really really good pace at the front but you know the lap times vary so much here as they work their way through the traffic that lap fought BOM Rita was 109 point one so here two and a half seconds away from the lap before you know what a heck of a start to the MC career the sprint races first time to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and you're thrown out there right in the middle of all that bottling it looked like a lot of fun from the pit lane but what was it like from the driver's seat well for me it was kind of tough is my first print race and traffic is really hard here I wasn't really whitewater wanted I we kind of went through what Katherine preferred because she's the one that finishing the race so I was a little bit struggle for me I lost unfortunately I lost to position this time the first lap and it was really hard to catch so I was kind of surviving right there and now just rooting for Katherine to so she can move up some positions what would help Katherine at this stage caution or stay green I think it's I think caution will be good just to kind of pack together and maybe she's able to get some position restart and kind of change this strategy a little bit right now the way it is a little bit far so yeah I think the most important of stay top five and try to get maybe an opportunity to get the more position so you can finish the podium no depth great fingers crossed for that thank you thank you so much hello to Steve Taylor spending a gap from first to second now is about nine seconds to in the second place car Mario farm Barca and then in third position Townsend he's about seven and a half seconds behind in the third face in another short gap back to the number 73 car Patrick long sad to say the lmp2 part has been broken up again karma son in the pit lane with the engine cover of the number 38 horik yet meantime Jeremy how hard their do you tell if you're on the pit wall how hard to you tell Jonathan Bomarito to push to put that car a lap down the second of the the Acura so there was a little brush past there for the Acura on the number 63 WeatherTech car currently twenty Wilander going across the start/finish line and was there a deadly damage that come don't see it quite they got away with that yeah there really impressive laps since he's come back onto the track of taking over that number 911 Porsche that's good stuff as well so let's go back then we've got masters 1st and 2nd now of course after that pisses off from the Acura so let's go back to that question Jeremy how hard to you tell Jonathan Bomarito to put the number 7 and Ricky Taylor a lap down not not hard the the number 55 car is a pretty good handy lead at the moment so there's no point in stretching that too far that you know they're quite happy you need to win by a second they need to win by a lap yes it'd be nice to keep the Acura to lap down for sure but the important thing now is just to run a clean race Jonathan Bomarito he's got 15 seconds over his teammates number 6 car of course had to go has just made its pit stop so we'll see how hard the number 6 car can push Dane Cameron as remain is that back at will that car well no he's remained at we're like well hasn't he so you know he will now he's just ahead to the number 7 car on the road so if number 7 car I had which having made a pit stop only 10 laps ago if that can stay out there maybe hold up the race leader movement then that could certainly play to the favor of the Acura Team Penske so I think we'll find you know this stage it would be certainly good if BOM Reed who could get past number 7 carbon link he's gonna find an awfully difficult and he doesn't want to push it at the envelope too hard yeah he's a bit of a danger time as well for the number 77 driver in second place on the Jarvis he's coming to put a lap of people Durrani he's all a lap back on the leader on the pit stops at least would expect to see that 77 come into the pit shortly can't be that far away he's right on him behind us there come in to turn eight and they've got the BMW leader in GT d right there I think Jarvis is coming in this time around because he didn't try to pass the BMW oh he has he's going around the outside thought for a moment team is going to dive now they've done 34 laps on this stick that's a really good stick by car number 55 or much longer than the Penske Acuras Jonathan Bomarito gets out of the number 55 Mazda here handing over to Harry getting four new Michelin tires and those ones I'd say they're new they certainly have never been used before driver change still going on the car has stopped on its ear Jackson that comes down the door closes catch the windshield tear off our hairy dick though so he'll be able to see what's going around it two point four or five nine miles up Canadian Tire Motorsport Park the car is is gonna kill at tires and force [Music] he too is getting a windshield tear up that makes such a big difference that was a good long run for the 77th and Jeremy because I seem to remember that cast up before its TV last time around one like before last time around right but we are running really deep into the pit stop by a late call for the second place Oh Lee Jarvis Meister and would have had to choose their mission because he was a locked up from the exit of turn nine all the way to the line now the question is did he get that car slowed down to the pit lid speed limit inside yeah you know he was trying to turn some quick laps there in order to jump the number select car on that top on that pit sequence and I think he has as he okay what because he'd been holed up in traffic the previous couple laps before making that stop oh yeah let me see what he goes through so right now there's a bunch of cars that could do with the caution pure because as of now we have eight cars on the lead have a quick Cadillac in race update after those pit stops now with all of the top runners except for Colin Braun having completed two stops 55 miles to still lead by nearly eight seconds it's Harry Tincknell onboard the dark red car then the number 16 Cameron in second place that's the accurate eat pizza critique DPI its teammate is another one a half seconds further back that's Ricky Taylor in the number seven and then the second of the Masters only Jarvis 6.2 seconds away from the second of the Acuras at 15 seconds away from his teammate both of the other P twos are running again but there's a two-lap gap between the 52 in the 30 years Porsche leads hit the shape of Earl Palmer and the name on to in GTI LED courtesy of some excellent early laps after a slightly earlier pit stop for the 9 1 2 r sr then the two BMWs John Edwards in the 24 and the 25 of Connor did philately then a Richard Westbrook is about another 2 seconds behind by the way the gap between first and second portion BMW about 10 seconds then the second of the part of Porsche is Nick Tandy only two and a half seconds behind Westbrook and gaining turning some great laps in GTD bill Oberlin leads Mario farm Butler by 13 seconds 96 blue and yellow turned the BMW from 86 black and pink Acura NSX then the bright yellow number 12 Lexus of Townsend Bell is another eight seconds further back that's how they stand on a Cadillac in Reyes update brought the year with Cadillac V Series because real races don't take time off [ __ ] out of East down in the pit lid where's Jonathan Bomarito who certainly had to work hard to maintain that lead during the first in Jonathan it looked like a lot of fun from being outside of the car you're coming out with a smile you think that maybe you can make this two weeks in a row hub we're gonna try hard is still a lot of racing left it was a lot of fun it's intense track battle out there right now with the traffic and being hot like this you have some tire degradation and man it's just a lot of work you'd never get a break this whole lap or you know a double stint there every but all the drivers and all the class been doing a great job I mean no yellows so far everybody's been very respectful respectful from what I can see and but yeah I'm smiling I know Harry's gonna do a great job here we just need to keep executing like we are but so far so good purple one sports car Gras pre presented by Acura did I detect there as a certain sense of excitement and enjoyment in Jay pops interview what happens when you go to a theme park and ride roller coaster all day John you got a smile on your face that you just can't get rid of and that's exactly what Jonathan Bomarito has gone through except it's even better he's the best rider of the roller coaster so far yeah that's exactly right I thought Jeremy Shaw and John ain't off in the MSHA broadcast booth already been a barn burner Harry Tincknell going through the first corner in clear air and as soon as he gets clear air he puts in another fast lap of that car one or six point four zero two that's exactly 1/10 away from the fastest lap of the race currently held by the number 7 Acura of Ricky Taylor it's amazing what these masters are like in clear air their Achilles heel Jeremy in the past has been trying to get through traffic now they're still not as good as everyone else in traffic but my goodness they're not better than they used to be yeah the little car doesn't have as much talk as some of the other cars out there and certainly that is a bit of a problem for the drivers to overcome but they've just got to kind of adapt their styles to cope with that and anticipate a little bit makes it harder on them for sure but they're I think they've really stepped up the game the drivers on that respect and they've done a really good job today and getting through that traffic since the since the pit stops the gap between number 55 car and number 6 in second place it had come down a couple a couple of seconds over the last three or four laps but no that's not a problem how he puts his head down now gets that clear lapping and extends that lead out again it's now about seven seconds and he's a good lap coming in from Ollie Jarvis as well if he gets a clean run to the line he had a little bit of traffic having to pass the portion of a 9-month to of Earl Bamber but that's not a slow car either 177 miles an hour through the speed trap and a 106 9 for Ollie Java's with an absolute fastest sector in the middle sector of a 13 point nine nine eight for the second of the Masters in fourth position I believe Jeremy that there has been an evolution of the engine the 2-liter turbocharged engine that they are Mazda uses and one of the things that they were looking for in the tuning of that engine out it's not re-engineering of engine parts it's optimization of settings and also some new electronics in that car and one of the things they were looking for words drivability and try to extract a little bit more talk now there are no substitutes for cubic inches but they've certainly seem to have made that car better because whilst they're still nothing never gonna have the same sort of of torque is the big v8 Cadillacs or even the v6 from Acura but they certainly seem to be better than they were they lose less than they used to and then that clearly is it is a great benefit to the drivers and how how they're able to attack the traffic it absolutely is and and I think we have seen the benefits of that and and the drivers are now much more comfortable I think in those situations but you know this is this race is so intense we've heard from the drivers of Sharon found in the down in the pit lane great interview you can feel kind of the relief I think that they got out of the car yet somebody else have to do for this artwork for a while to have it go out it and speaking of cars that have not been having a great day so far the number 14 Lexus ambassadors all of it it lives once again I just heard the rumble of the Lexus coming back from behind the wall that's a steering rack that they've had to fix or replace in a very short amount of time and the local team wants nothing more than for both cars to finish well now they're hoping that the other one can maybe bring home a win for Jack Harkness earth back out from behind the wall there's Bennett duct tape on the front of this Lexus a bit of different color eight they're gonna give Jackson fuel and then send him out counter bail currently sitting third in GT t sang and his merrie off our bucket some 10 seconds or so up the road and far Baca is 12 seconds behind bill Avila who leads that car has not been headed the 96 BMW start on pole position Robbie for Lee doing a great first stint in GT LaVon Earl Bamber the key we went off strategy a little bit that brought that car in early got him into some clear air and the key we delivered with some outstanding laps don't come off the track it turn one just as I'm talking about him stop listening to the ridge you're Earl and concentrate the tribute livery to the great American road racing team of Brumos on that car since Lamont three girls Colin Braun through turn three no picking his way past the Lexus which is just out of the pits and getting back up to speed this is magnificent stuff billable and then in the Turner BMW back to blue and yellow car circulating with a comfortable lead he's just pulled out almost six tenths of a second that last lap absolutely glorious dear to be more racing it'll be hot in the car but it's not too humid the drivers trained for heat humidity over the last few days well certainly on Friday and Saturday was like walking in that was sauna when he walked outside and a lot Friday at the actual temperature was hot enough at ran about thirty thirty-one degrees Celsius the real feel as they call it because of the humidity was closer to 40 degrees Celsius and that was sticky and horrid fortunately fortunately not quite that hot today show you Pete seen the drivers getting out the car so now the movie when Jonathan Bomarito get out of the Mazda he was completely drenched from head to toe Tristan Nunez came over to talk to him congratulate him and as he walked away Jonathan said to me man he looks fresh I said he'll only did a single stone and he thought oh that's good because I was just thinking I had to start training more whew thanks for telling me no the good lap last time around 107 flat from the leader 106 108 5 prepared Cameron on e Jarvis 107 to 107 flat from Ricky Taylor felt that lead for just pulling away a little bit now from the pack which is led by people Durrani number 14 car by the way back into the pit lane and back behind the wall for impassive Sullivan sand we got that car back out with a repair to the steering rack as the leader elbaba up in behind the number 9 of Scott Hargrove that's the GTD version of the Porsche 911 didn't make the move down the inside a turmoil that was a veteran move there or veteran veteran or move from Earl Bamber and sometimes that is the case Jeremy it's not about what knowing when and how to make the move but sometimes knowing not to me at the moment he didn't want to put his car and his lead in jeopardy they thought that was a smart piece of driving yeah anyway and that's really what you're going to do around here I mean he the Kiwi Bambi's extended his lead now it's almost 10 seconds over the BMW across the Porsche is running a slightly different strategy it came in much sooner than the BMW did it came in on lap 36 whereas the 35 I guess it was under BMW carrying 11 laps and later so that with the Porsche number 912 has taken advantage of that to pull out a pretty good lead I think call all of the GT decals can the gtlm casting get through this race on just two pit stops but by coming in fairly early there it means that the the the second swap they really needed to be all in order to be able to take advantage of what they're running but of course at the final stop the number 9 912 car will need a little bit less fuel yeah than the than the pursuers yeah good points Jeremy good point their last stint of the race 34 35 laps and you know that we don't expect to see the either of those cars in for quite a while course number seven that was put off strategy by that slow puncture on the number seven car back on that 51 so that came in a good 10 laps earlier than it would otherwise have needed to Victor France or knee putting the fastest lap in for the number five zero that's the Cadillac of yukos racing 106.9 well doing great stuff from that driver sieze first time that he's been here yeah that's so that's quicker than job our poster in the number all that cart number five car it's only three tents or so away from the best number 31 cars turned out which is always that sound jerry that's a very very very good luck right future yeah no I mean all the Cadillacs are pretty close on lap times between 106.5 106.8 or nine so you know that that's really good the fastest lap of the race of 106.3 so there isn't really that much to choose between you between end on in terms of lap time so Jeremy coming down to the last hour and we'll start another round of GT LeMond pit stops relatively shortly and it'll be interesting for me what I want what I'm waiting for to answer some questions is when we see those first pit stops those seconds pit stops rather Earl barber pitted on lap 36 he's now on lap 74 so he's getting close but it was an hour of five minutes to Gore he needs to get another couple of three laps and I reckon to see that he can get to the end just about an hour's worth of running we think from a GT lamont car as all he goes off all those throws it away at turn five right on the ragged edge there as he drifted right across the curves at the middle of five year and B did near the apex on the second of the right-hander's so I wonder if his tires are beginning to cry enough again has to push hard towards the end of the stint for seeing some faster laps coming in now caller Brown 1 or 6 8 for Colin that's the fastest lap of the race now for that Cup Olli govern was the we would kind of expect to see the 4 car coming in first to the GT lamont cars but that cars had read your problem saw that might be difficult in getting the tall Englishman seconds away from the leader with John Edwards and Canada family P behind the world GTD the top three below Berlin Mario farm back in Townsend Bell just eight seconds between Townsend Bell and Mario farm back but bill Oberlin had pulled out something like 12 13 seconds the last time I looked in the 96 BMW it's now 15 and a half seconds between Oberland in the 96 m 6 and then 86 accurate he's really stretched out hasn't he he really hides that she Cadillac in race update they've kinda like V series because the real racers don't take time off Peter cracker Jeremy and our Porsche keys to the race we said it's a two hour 40 minutes sprint race but so far there has been quite a lot of patience Sean and a lot of Rhys back between the different classes one or two bits of trading of pin put nothing that's required the intervention of the safety car and there's still the two big questions fuel and tires and we're getting into those last decisions to be made now by the strata of the strategy the strategic mines and stringing out on the pin box as well as by the drivers feeding back the information but getting in the last stop strategy certainly knows last pit stop area certainly for the GT DS and the GT lamont cars indeed we are just to get the battle for the leader up front like that the gap between number 55 number six is over oscillated between five and so a bit broad it was under two seconds actually all about six laps ago it's now and back out to five again the gap from second to third though that is definitely sneaking down just three seconds between number 6 and number 77 and the best of the Cadillacs and number 31 car kind of back to what we were pre Watkins Glen he was number 10 car down a great run at the Glen but here number 31 car is a fall almost 20 seconds behind that top trio yeah at 30 seconds David of 28 seconds away from the leader Jeremy and what has been a full green race right we've got some pit call as this time around is seemingly half the field has just got past our window and right in there that is the number six ocular which I think [ __ ] Adam is pale in the pit lane it has did Cameron is the first of the DP eyes in the leading group to come into the pit lane correct following in the sister car the number seven a few laps ago but that was strategy due to a slow cruncher in the left rear the number six though not throwing any time to of coming in off strategy Dean Cameron brings the car in they are doing four tires change those waiting on the fuel and doing the left rear tire the right front the last star to go on is the left rear car drops down off the air checks windshield Tara Foreman just waiting on the fuel perfect pit stop that's the last thing to go Dane revs engine and is released best pit box a look at lame there's nobody in front of you and all he is to do is go through the RFID readers that's only 25 laps that student for number 6 car its previously it was 32 laps before coming on to the pit lane so that's interesting it's still going to make another pit stop before the end of this race with 59 minutes remaining so he will have to keep an eye on I think they I don't expect to see either of the Masters as well them get has to creep up against a bit wall to get past number 38 the second place car in lmp2 that cost him a huge amount of momentum as he went across the line of one of these 11.2 second place on the trackpad might be dirt Miller's helmet actually now that I see it behind well the 60s for the accurate staying aboard they did not try to fix the radio for Oliver Gavin so he must deer torna cars think they can go to the end from there and presumably the GT lamont cars do as well because there was a few of those cars that were could have gone deeper into the race we've not had a safety car yet we're fully including full green so always a good thing to get your last pit stop done first if that makes sense it does because if there is a full course caution then the pits will be closed and the the drivers if they can remain on the lead lap endure gtlm cars could then the pits would be closed and so the drivers are already made their pit stops would be able to move through to the head of the queue after everybody else's come in for service and tiresome it is fuel and new tires for Earl Bamber as well he's staying aboard and this fits up should be fuel just waiting on the tire change to complete on the right side of that Porsche which came in from the lead also following given the number 67 Ford GT Richard Westbrook bringing that car in there was number 3 on the side of the car but there is a lot of debris on the front of that car you can tell that these guys aren't there by pushing really hard in the track is quite dirty they have already completed the left side tire change on the 14 the sound of the Porsche flat-6 engine being grabbed within an inch of input row Bamberg goes and down goes the pit board for the number 3 Corvette so into the pit lane the king of Spain Antonio Garcia brings that beautiful yellow his loan in with the number 4 on the side of the door Westbrook puts the fort back into gear and so both Bamber and Westbrook got out well ahead of Garcia and I'm also starting to see a pitbull 31 wheel in engineering catalog pit stops here soon pits up going perfectly comes off the air jacks now and just waiting on fuel as the purple illuminated decided the car that told me how long they've been stationary is not functioning more BMWs also into the pit lane this is the car that's at the pole time with can't see crud yon John Eddie two is a pretty exciting time is another five car on to the pit lane now also for its scheduled service 91 laps completed 53 minutes remaining and again that car will have to make another stop with a round about 20 minutes to go fast and furious into turn number nine and there was a little touch between the number 77 and the 38 of the lmp2 camera castles car as he was trying to muscle East we're through not harm no foul I don't think you have to keep a look at the bodywork on the right hand side of the second-place master eleven seconds he's the gap between first and second hairy chicken alali Jarvis as they finished a week or gore meantime shears had an unexpected occurrence sampling Cadillac field tires and Filipe Albuquerque back father built that one yeah no I thought that that does that sort of work for you ok its physical around here true I knew they've got to make four stops so you might as well make two driver changes true so yeah good point it's physic it's physically and as we've already said oh you're on mentally demanding around here so it's to take some sort of breather is a really good plan so the two masters yet to make their third stop how close to the end of this risk at their gate is are they in one bought stock territory they're not far away from it at the moment they need to do probably another seven or eight laps from here lap number 93 just completed for Harry Tincknell if he can get some one knee that somewhere near lap 100 I reckon us yeah I reckon he would be at the court at the end yeah that's what I'm saying I think you know that's the last came in on lap 65 and they did a year fifty-five card came in like 31 to 65 that was 34 laps number 70 cut 5k I've been in a lap sooner so that did a 35 lap last stint that would take them to lap 100 so 55 crew beginning to get on the wall that normally do that two or three laps at the very least before they expecting the car in but it needs to be a bit more than that if it's not going to be a very very scary splashing caught at the end of the race if they can't do it that's going to be an extraordinary advantage there we'll have heart rate your van designed by the way that only other contender just can't Brown's only done two stops we call it must be doing shortly as well we heard didn't we that the number 10 car from Jordan Taylor we're trying to being it on one fewer stops and everyone else if they haven't had the pace of the cars ahead but if they've only got one more stop to do they might be able to get further up the field maybe challenge 4/5 of fourth position there in six at the moment Karla Brown absolutely flying as he's Ricky Taylor he's just done the fastest lap of the race one or six point two Jeremy it raced him one or six point two nine one for Ricky tiller and the Acura team penske number seven full of position car yeah that's that's pretty good going mincer and dayne cameras just said his best lap of the race 1:06 point four in the sister car both for those two cars well number six car was within the pits only 67 laps ago number seven car though it's been a while that was not 79 we've done 15 laps since that car was last in so to be sitting lap times like that at this stage is it's very impressive but they're a long way back I mean they got they got a good pace early on but I think I thought that they kind of lost pace as the race went along but apparently not so 95 laps completed by Harry Tincknell in the lead car when I was seven point six last time around and that gap from between the two masters it was it's it's gonna have gone out by about five seconds over the course of last ten laps Antonio Garcia is Corvette number three cook the life a 115 one last time around the best lap for that car at the fastest gtlm car except for Nick Tandy but I think you'll take that because it's Nick Tandy Nick Tandy in the 911 now up to third position by the way he's how it stands in GT LeMond Earl Bamber by 11 seconds the name one two leads the 24 BMW of John Edwards then at six point four seconds back to the charging Nick Tandy in the nine-one-one Porsche and we've got a car off and it is the 38 OH do you me what a tough deer they've had Cameron castles is off a turned five and the race leader is in the pit high-risk leader in the pits immediately we'll keep an eye on what's going on with that are the doors open the door is all but on the camera castles car so the leader share Adam has come into the pit lid presumably expecting a full-course yellow the monsters into the pit lane and the fifty-five drinks bottle change for our support for brand new Michelin tires on this machine also eight is the number 77 monster that too is just a drinks bottle for Harry Tincknell excuse me for Oliver Jarvis but it looks like he has some scrap rubber going out to that number 77 I wouldn't expect it to be scrubbed rubber I think would be new there was a slight issue on the right rear wheel change for the number 55 on said Oliver Jarvis goes on head of this top 50 putt in the pit lane and it is still here at the left rear is now an issue for this Mazda there also into the pit lane and the number seven so everybody reacting thinking that this will be a full course caution I can see the number seven stop they are doing fuel and tires for Ricky Taylor not even offering him a drinks bottle man this is going to be close to being able to go to the end from here 47 minutes but behind the safety car we expect sure it has not yet been called risk control have not yet called it pits are closed and now the yellow flag comes out as the number seven leaves who else got into the pits nobody thirty-one I think just got into the pit nearly time people do dear yes he did but the number 10 car elected not to come in now with all the other leaders in it had been a lap down to it he kind of needs to wave around to get back on the lead lap yeah correct I saw an accurate in there as well I think that was the 14th or which has been back behind the wall up back out again a couple of times now the 38 as currently was stopped on the exit of the complex at turn five it's gonna need some help to get out so Jeremy we've had at two hours of our four minutes before we hit our full first full course yellow at what a couple of hours that has been here at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park mobile world sportscar grove free but advantage still very much with mazda at the mormons side-by-side action before the yellow came out and was introduced there there was that was the mustang something Filipe Albuquerque going side by side with the third-place Acura yeah there was a lap between those cars of that stage a number five car was a lap down having made a pit stop just a few laps ago [Music] well I tell you what before it all cools mind again because I think the Masters have held onto the lead there yeah the changed position I mean they came in 12 seconds apart yeah but they've have number 55 car the good news is well the bad news is that the poor stopped the good news is they remained ahead of everybody else because they had a huge advantage over the rest of field at that stage are only two other cars on without that to Acuras because everybody else had already made a pit stop except I had ten which is doing and will make one once he gets the wave-around Jeremy there's our Porsche keys to the race you know having a lot a long fuel wind or almonds of the strategy yeah and that has played it okay you never know what to say if the car he's gonna come out or whether it isn't but that has played into their hands there they've taken the advantage right we'll get the pass around going so anyone who has been passed by the leader but not by their leader in class will be allowed to go by and here's how they stand at the moment in GT dear toerner with most of the cars having made what I think will be their final stop certainly the top runners 96 pmw bilaval and Leeds farm back in the acura and the black and pink car the 86 from the bright yellow Lexus number 12 of Townsend Ben bell a lot of Aschenbach is still on the lead lap he'll be getting waved around now he has only made one stop in the lawn star Mercedes and we've got the Oracle running again but with damage to the left front so it wasn't just to pull off from that car there had been some contact with the wall so that's good news for Cameron castles also means we'll have a pretty quick yellow as well so where was Owen GTT Lausanne Aschenbach I said was in fourth fifth yeah I'm like Lone Star car has only made one yeah absolutely so they've got one pot pit stop to make in gtlm Earl Bamber for John Edwards from Tandy so that's nine one two Porsche from 24 BMW from 911 Porsche from 25 BMW from 67th per hoard from 66 Ford from full Corvette from three Corvette for for Corvette because they'll all pack up now as well so all that began that minute gap or 32nd gathered there was from front to back that will disappear from forth on down they are back in the pit including sure including [ __ ] Adam there's a second visit in consecutive laps for the five seconds were going to set Ricky Taylor to stun and put him out also in were the numbers five and thirty one action Express racing Cadillacs the Konica Minolta Cadillac of Wayne Taylor racing the number ten the Auto Sport Robinson and Lawson Tosh Mark Lawson right now dropping the car that was emergency service they came in when they were not supposed to so that would have been five seconds of fuel and back out for lost him but he's gonna have to come back in the next time that the pits are open for his class yeah that is the car that we were talking about it only don't want to stop there done an extraordinary road to that point it just got caught now when she says emergency service clearly it makes no sense at all with the pits closed for your category to run someone out of fuel on the circuit so emergency services allowed by mg a company can have five seconds of fuel and you can have anything fixed that needs to be fixed for example if you had a puncture or a wheel coming loose or something like that you could fix that but that's all you could do and then you've got to come back in when the pizza or burn for your class and that's what will have to happen with Lawson a ship back so not a great stop for the Mazda number 55 the car was dropped before the rear tire change was done on that car but they had to go back up again and then complete the refuelling late then bring the refueling we had they the refueling was still going in but there was something not right with that pit stop certainly yeah I don't think either of the rear tires had been balded out of that car whew whoo [Music] so live trackside around the world with no blocks or be next then it's people Durrani then it's Filipe Albuquerque Cadillacs both of course crane confront the sander right in there as well and they will all be at the front of the field that'll all closed up so the Mazdas will be under pressure and don't forget Ricky Taylor got 5 seconds of fuel to leave no doubt that he was going to be good to go to the end on fuel mileage there'll be no fuel serving from the number 7 accurate saw fireworks here [ __ ] Adam normally stands on the pit island on the outside pit wall for the restarts I've just seen you walk cross split lip yeah I'm gonna go hike now I don't wanna get hit with any bits of rubber and or carbon shards and or any car debris so yeah pit wall ok got a bit of sweet track sweet me going on as well offline yeah a good idea as well with still 40 minutes to go yeah we'd be going great shortly yeah and this is this is really gonna help the prototypes with their with the hopes of forgetting to to the finish without making another pit stop as well plus it's going to make it the track more racy with that with the amount of marbles and thrown off these tires the little rubber bits of rubber just gets thrown off and dispositive directly off the racing line that means if you run off line here with the hot tires they pick up all those little rubber marbles and then off it it sounds horrible when you're in the car because the rubber sort of thrown around underneath the wheel arches and particularly with the track breakup problems we've had last couple of days touchwood we don't see to anything now but from the drive line it almost sounds like ass for being thrown around inside there which of course is it would be even worse so I think this is certainly gonna attract a lot more race double because he did get off line you'd pick up those marbles it would sound horrible plus when you get to the next corner you really not quite sure how much grip you're gonna have Jeremy sure that was [ __ ] I don't I'm John hind off mctv and radial one more lap at least behind the gt500 Mazda which sounds absolutely fantastic so right under the pit lane there Stephen Simpson no he is not on the lead lap right and also McMurray coming in with the leading lmp2 car but now with a fall I'll check that now with a seven lap lead the problems for the 30m already had one inch of problem and their contact with the wall in turn five which brought out this full course yellow had the very pretty blue rays 500 so we now have eight cars back on the lead lap including the pole city car of Colin brown so it's gonna be interesting to see whether he can possibly work his way through he's certain that car is certainly faster we know that and the court order sport team employed this exactly the same strategy last year last year Colin Braun qualified the car on the pole position they started at the back and he came through to win the race can he do that again that would be pretty impressive and he's gonna take to restart in eighth position so ahead of him he has its seventh of the patek Cadillac of Ranga Fonda's under a difficult man to pass yeah this is six the number five Cadillac Filipe Albuquerque say above comment in fifth position the 31 red white Willie Cadillac of paper order re not impossible to past Ricky Taylor is in fourth in the accurate dpi and on fresh tires did Cameron is in third to fit to Brittany Taylor and then the two Mazda DP eyes yes so though I'd offered my top they're really yeah no kidding GT a lender all of the all eight cars they're still on the lead lap is that innate ability at the end of the race to have a car that's exactly the way he wants it yeah we've seen it happen so many times just before that yellow flag came out he put it in the fastest lap yeah and the GGT just very quickly probably about two green now 11 cars on the lead lap led that by the BMW Phil Overland who's lead of it lit over 11 seconds or more nothing it was cut to nothing 36 minutes of racing could go the green flag in the air great restart by the leader Olly Jarvis put his team in hurry tingle under intense pressure from did Cameron not such a good start from Ricky Taylor he's got the best tires of the leading group of cars he came in and got a splash of fuel as well so he should have the ability to go full reach to the end of the race no not from here it's still 35 minutes remaining it there's still going to be some fuel savory fried here for you absolutely for the prototypes no question they've already done five laps under caution for three laps for the for the cars that came back onto the pit lane five for the for the other for which the other for the other three excuse me being the two masters and of the number six Acura penalty for me Lord Stark Mercedes AMG gt3 they did not come back in again to fulfill that emergency service requirements they'll be brought in for a stop plus 10 that seconds or a drive into the pit lane and then a 10-second halt Mazda Mazda accurate accurate Cadillac Cadillac Cadillac me son three Cadillacs that she taught me 11 and they're separated by well the cars of the league laughs the top aides are separated by four and a half seconds in GT in GT Lamoille great battle with a Porsche right in there but the two BMWs Tandy's be moved on the restart you don't hear that very often but he's just squeezed through a turn walk back in the third position ahead of one of the BMWs so Porsche BMW Porsche BMW 91 - 24 25 oh sorry no more - 24 9 1 1 25 at the 240 tees right in there as well also in that line of GT cars the BMW of bill Oberlin who's forgot what class season again he's partnered with the GT laQuan cars he's leading GT D at the moment by just under a second and looking for his 59th all-time victory in the top line American sports car racing which would take him on a drift of Scott Pruett well as they used to sit on a well nor sci-fi program in the UK but when I was going anything can happen in the next half hour and probably will what Colin brown has made at one position is it's not pass drink of anaxander or on that last lap so he's now up into seventh place he caliber 50 for the reason that Nick Tandy lost the position was that he went side by side and then pushing the BMW in second place of John Edwards and that's what lost him the position that he got sideswiped by the other pmw and there's damage to the back of John Edwards BMW so Tandy dropped down to fourth for a moment then got back to burn pits are Clause we going back to full course yellow what's happening here yellows blues yellows know somebody's hit the wall hard at the bottom a turn - now is there a card buried in that tire stack or has it gone even went out if it's in there it's in an awful long way there's big marks down to that that's a very worrying sign as we get one of the safety vehicles down there and I have no clue what car that is in there if they did there is a car in there not speculating either is it the youngest car so I think it might be but it's it's buried amongst the tires at the bottom had turned two very very fast part of the circuit and it is a Cadillac tell by the wheels see well it's a 50 car it is the US Cadillac yeah France or he was driving it and it looks to have partially ruled that car the emergency service there but it almost impossible to get there because the tire bundles are all the way around it and that has been a significant impact down at the bottom of turn two the green mirrors that I saw in that car that was about all I could see whirring more bits for everybody here but we've already got the kid the ear mark and down there and other vehicles coming in as well and this is not good to be a short yellow here because just getting that car out is not the work of a moment [Music] so the run to the line has been interrupted for a moment looks like the car went straight on there were black tire marks leading to the scene of the accident on the first flying lap the tire stock has done its job to stop the car hitting the wall or in fact going out of the race track area down there and into the the wooded area but it's kind of all enveloped the Cadillac that you lost Cadillac yeah I mean the Carson ferries are doing for around 150 miles an hour yeah you don't have to be far off like there to go off the road if there's any kind of failure at that point if you've had side by side contact Jeremy near bricks tearing armor something like that then you're heading directly to the scene of the accident very quickly indeed so Ollie Jarvis with 104 laps in the bag now we'll give you the news as soon as we have it about the incident but let's concentrate on what we can tell you and that is that this yellow flag is playing into the hands of anybody who had fuel worries yeah which is all of the prototypes yeah even the guys who came in for the splash during that caution period which is number 10 754 5 and 31 even they were going to be struggling to get to the end of this race without making another stop if it had been green all the way which now isn't as you say this is gonna be a lengthy cleanup so this should I think most likely alleviate anybody's concerns [Music] well leave the steam alone for the time bein this is not the time to speak to them obviously [ __ ] Adam down there rightly just giving them some space at the moment being a great run by franz oniy yeah the car lost some time early on he certainly turns a very very competitive lap times had the Brazilian but and it significantly quickened the both of the JDC millimoles for centuries interestingly the the best that laps they've done it are in the 70s mid 7s Victor ferns only return of 69 in that number 50 car and that's pretty much on a par with the action Express and Konica Minolta teams as well considering how little time he's had at the wheel of this prototype I mean drove the car at Detroit had foolin at all previously and intrument here he'd never been here before he minimal track time just he's got up up to speed in that car so quickly coming down at 28 minutes a reminder that Mazdas first in second at euros third and fourth there to Cadillacs then a hard-charging collar Brown only want to admit a position I think in the short type when we had the green flag running yeah in GT LeMond it's still old barber from John Edwards with Nick Tandy down to fourth at one stage and then back up to third third serrated paired with both of the BMWs yeah and the fancy who called it the fact that the the track was cleaned off there during that two previous previous caution period certainly and that will help Colin Braun hopes because the Nissan is fabulously fast in a straight line it handles beautifully on the merrier and ready straightaway and and that is where his best opportunity is to make to make passes on these other prototypes but previously that track would have been pretty pretty dirty up there but with the blunt with the with the blowers going through there during that caution printer should have cleaned off that track and it should leave the track in good shape for the final stages of this race 20 past 3:00 in the afternoon local time here that's 20 past eight in the UK I like the Mike parent who is apologizing for being late on parade we've got a nought Mike could be an interesting - for the end it's been a cracking race so far with the story of the rest the first 15 minutes until a Mazda hit the front of the field and it was the 55 car that you know Porsche keeps the race we said Top Fuel tires sprint race mentality but also a bit of patience required took 15 minutes to get the front bent caning lost a bit of time early on with the subpoena in the 33 Riley motorsport OMG [Music] the battles have been between the two Japanese brands at the front of the field that Mazda very quickly destroy at life not just shot around the corners as well and particularly in clear air and they did get two positions one and two for a little while master 55 pressing its advantage on the Acuras having a problem later on in the pitstop the 74 law and Stark are coming into contact with the young cos Cadillac at the middle of turn two and then an extraordinary thing coming into the pit lane when I stand in the 14 Lexus hit the back of Patrick Lindsey 73 car yeah came from miles behind EADS yes pedal he called on the number nine Porsche on the eros on the out lap having just lost it and they the rejoin was deemed not to be fair and that 14 car went behind the wall yeah that was unfortunate the the number nine car by the way it's going soft back into Keturah back in the top six in a GTD class you see again some more replays here some contact there with the number 77 car that's leading that came into contact with number 38 of the performance tech car that's the car that caused the earlier caution Pierre has been in the wars this afternoon that performance tech Orica Gibson back out again it is yeah before with detectives boy they never give up your day is it refusing but you're good really really good job by faff Motorsports team another local team of course in at number nine the plaid Porsche got it back up to sixth sixth position and all of the cars are running in GT d RR on the lead lap so they're all you know ostensibly in contention still waiting for news of the incident the bottom of turd - nothing official yet so we'll wait for that [Music] the race hasn't been red-flagged so they must fielder will be able to get back in green flag in a reasonably sensible amount of time if it was going to take a longer time they would have red flag this race we've got some time afterwards in terms of trapped I could have red flagged it froze on the clock yeah but the TV window is probably mitigating against that [Music] which deepened up with that feature a very good point of course depends which mean doing it is it through the square wind or this weekend on the round one twenty three and a half minutes to go still the BMW of billable and leading in GTD from hockey Alexis Porsche well they update from down at the seed of the accident is that the young Cadillac is still very much buried in the tires the medical vehicles that I saw good down there aren't at the scene [Music] but it's clearly proving very difficult to get that car off its side and out of those tire bills [Music] Chiti LeMond barber for Porsche ahead of John Edwards hood BMW that Tandy in the second of the Porsches the little bit of BMWs white pit on both sides to that car actually in the lapis or that we had of racing McMurray leads lmp2 and eleventh position overall and at the front it's Mazda Mazda accurate Acura Cadillac Cadillac Nissan Cadillac Cadillac Cadillac for your top ten top eight of those all still on the lead lap mobile one sport car Grand Prix Boorman Ville Ontario presented by Acura and got a couple more rescue vehicles going round there including a flatbed just passing us now and another record truck I think they're going to try and pull that car out and over and get it out of the tires then we'll have to reset the ties we're gonna probably have about with any look maybe ten or twelve minutes to go at the end of this but that will be all so on or fuel worries for any of the teams at the front it will be a dash for the top places remember at side where it's ruled in what happened was coming down the hill he went inside and hit the bump and then unabated speed left-hand side first into the tyre wall and then it's flipped all the good news to fight to keep that BMW John Edwards behind him well it was on TV but the biggest friend we had so far was an old BMW driver energy DD car trying to help his mates behind this which was probably really unfair but anyway we're leading and it looks good we have good pace we did a good cause oh gee yeah if you have one if you want to have one guy in the car the end of the race ballad I'll would be are also fully trust what he will do he swapped back to his traditional yellow helmet this weekend got rid of the Brumos special livery that I ran at Lamar and last weekend are you guys superstitious too well I only saw them on the in-car camera and I thought the same thing so I guess for wind today we'll stop wearing the Brumos on what I think well great call from the pit lane to bring Earl in early we are going to a red flag though so unfortunately we're gonna have to wait a little bit longer for perhaps the celebration again for the 912 good luck the rest of the way thank you very much [ __ ] out of down in the pit lane yeah red flag the clock at the moment is still running and the Cadillac is a rather sorry sight in terms of the bodywork but has stood up very well indeed the young cos car it's been engulfed in tyres as well so there's a lot of dirt and muck and dirty water except there's paint spraying on that car but it's out it'll be gone the back of the flatbed and come back the red flag is out and the clock has been reset to 17 minutes and 13 seconds when the red flag came out so that's very interesting it was just under 30 minutes wasn't it when we went back to green and this accident happened so we've already lost well over 10 minutes of the last 30 but we're on red flag with the clock on hold Jeremy yeah yeah your area is about 30 minutes to go when the caution twin this caution period began because we went to green with 35 laps to go we did just a couple of laps before this accident occurred and oh sorry state isn't number 50 car that's that's a real shame it's not it certainly isn't a high-budget operation there that ricky yonkos puts together so jeremy it did you're right bodywork wise it looks horrible and you know it's it's had a big tion it's been over it's been surrounded by tires which as I say will have been dirty that but all the whales have roughly in the simply right place and sort of pointing in the right direction and all right this suspension damage to the left rear in the left front the cockpits fine the doors opening and closing fine that stood up really well really really well to that very heavy impact on the left-hand side and it was the left-hand side that went in first now the cars have come into the pits which is now parked firm a they will not be able to be serviced and [ __ ] Adam they haven't gone all the way down the pit lane here no because there's quite a bad slant downwards so oh yes have been stopped on the even part and the pace car actually has been stopped on the beginning of the slant that's really heads-up meaning that they're not gonna have to lock the cars in gear and they're not gonna have to leave the cars with brake pressure on because brake discs get melded to the brake pads that's not a good move so very very heads-up I risk control you were talking a moment or two ago to Laurens van to articulate was talking about bill Oberlin in the the 96 BMW who he felt was was not helping the the cause of the GT LeMond cars well that would make sense because bill Oberlin often forgets what class he's racing I actually said that he'd come to that's true I I do quite enjoy it when bill goes and mixes it up yeah that is the only GTD BMW this weekend though so yep that would make sense thank you [ __ ] [ __ ] I'd have done that so if you know people if you hit the track and you know people who aren't watching at all the CNBC broadcast will run until the conclusion of the wrist of course will steer on the air till the conclusion of the race is well it might mean a slightly truncated version of Michelin post-race tech because of some scheduling that some of our staff after - I ain't me getting on a plane but we'll keep you updated with that the the bulk of the recovery vehicles are leaving within a tyre wall rebuilding and then we can go back to the last 17 minutes of racing just yeah and took you know that here and there from Lawrence Toronto talking about the Porsche being held up by the GTD BMW there's not that much speed differential so in lap time differential between GTD and gtlm the fastest lap in gtlm races is a high one one minute 14 for GTD it's low 17 so bit over two seconds which is actually a little bit more than was the differential before that the lap records for gtlm was by Patrick Peter actually two years ago one minute fourteen point seven which we yeah which has been beaten in this race just latterly GTD was actually by Tristan voce who's driving the brady v DPI car on this race it was a one 16.8 and that was also in 2017 contra race to get back to their positions as quickly as possible the Cadillac take the picture from the right-hand side just look too bad all right it's been a loose bodywork but very good indeed lost the rear wing but that car again I'll see this it stood up very very well a date looks like Victor lost it on the bump in the middle of turn two just over the top of the rise there there is a a little bump there may be called tires just temperature pressures not quite up and got sideways going down the hill he had the foresight to get on the brick really early and although it went in driver's side and flipped over scrubbed off a lot of speed by that time on that new asphalt in the old days he depend on the grass and picking up speed there so well yeah and the old days there wasn't much runoff there at all well yes it's very well today right yeah there was a it certainly would have scrubber for fair bit of speed but still that that went in at a rate or not that was a huge go over any time you go over it's a nasty thing that happened even if it's in a road car yeah that guy's go back to the pit lane and we have 17 minutes and 13 seconds on the clock let's go to Patrick like champagne no it would be good for the championship which is obviously what we're in but he's got three really fast cars ahead of him it's trough that tough track to pass on but they're giving us a lot of time I think my boy will have a shot here but I've just been really proud of this team didn't have the fastest car going into this race but we are sitting in a really good spot so hopeful fingers crossed we will see how the drama plays out it's a real situation for you you mentioned championship you've just won a World Championship and as a result of that you missed your aces so Patrick is effectively going for a solo championship this year how weird is it to be trying to help him won another championship I mean it was honestly pretty easy jump back in the car with Patrick kind of like riding a bike he's a he's a great code reiver he's a good friend and we're just having a good time and looking forward to getting him this championship he's worked hard for it he is he the the only GTD car that is not on the lead lap so it's so this is a good opportunity from number 73 team to make up quite a lot of points great work again by our emergency teams here at CTF P Canadian Tire Motorsport Park and of course our insert safety team with the Porsche KTM our safety vehicle a good opportunity to remind ourselves how much hard work all the Marshalls people on the certainly to the Mazda fans but also to schipper all Pruett Marshall's wife she's fighting it hard we don't take challenges lately at Mazda we never stopped challenging so we want them for her but to win one and then to get two in a row I can't believe it's Shay congratulations John thank you so much I think John potato may have been a whuppin and a-hollerin quite a bit there buddy the sound of his voice last week yes well and truly off back there you know when you've won the first of all it makes it much easier win the second one but I mean we always say that Jeremy but twice in a week after after really not showing the kind of pace in practice in qualifying that they should it was on a dominance and what kids glad not the case here they've raced their way at the front when they got to the front they made the best of their advantage yeah I mean that's the dominant car right now though no question about they didn't show it through practice and qualifying they did in the race once again it wasn't quite as as far ahead of the rest of field is that where one week ago but they were still that was quite clearly the car to have but now as the team Eurus hats off to them they've worked so hard on everything every aspect of that team the engine from a ER that the chassis from multimatic they've worked hard with Michelin to understand the tires at the team itself you know they're brought in new engineers this year the whole structure is now in place and and everything that there is working absolutely as it should do they're taking full advantage of it and that's why we've seen this car winning so so dominantly both last week and almost at the same extent this week as well it's been a really really fine performance and you know they deserve every bit of this adulation that they're getting and the congratulations from John Doonan identity great out there - he's just been in to tell us Victor France early awake alert being transferred to a local hospital for further evaluation that's the official word that's what we've been waiting for we can all breathe a sigh of relief there we did see the pictures of him sitting up but until we get the official this meets Derouen knurl retake the championship lead congratulations yeah perfect was up to the race it was a bit of a difficult weekend first really struggled a bit to to find our rhythm and get everything sorted but in the end the race car was good and we did we tried something a strategy that worked out perfectly and yeah over the then make a chop at the end like I said that was one guy you want in there at same so three wins it's here starts to be good yeah not too bad especially going into the second half of the season with Lime Rock Road America vir WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca Petit lamahieu feeling like maybe momentum on your side now yeah it's going it's going really well but like you say it's you know in this championship points are so close you want that result in the you lose it is allowed to just need to be up there the whole time and yeah by winning is the best thing so let's I just hope we can continue like this and then we will sort it out hey congrats it's a
