[Music] locked it down field in a double cabra my staff see textbook breeze has thrown seven touchdowns in this game on time voice of the Saints Jim endlessly gotta work out lastly because breeze was on fire what a terrific game this seven touchdown passes over 500 yards and at 36 years of age the oldest quarterback to ever throw for over 500 he won't be getting the ball first though the flip of the coin won by the Titans and they will get it first in Dexter McCluster will return Bishop Sankey has been the return man but he was stripped of those duties because of buffs and fumbles on returns Thomas for stead will be kicking off for the New Orleans Saints since coming off the win a high-powered high scoring affair against the Giants last week and for Tennessee a 22-6 wash in Houston and here we go Saints and tightness and McCluster will leave it in the end zone will be first out in ten to go here is the quarterback Marcus Mariota who began very well with four touchdowns we twanda dent from there he was taking a pounding eventually twisting in a MCL sprain now here he is with a new play caller and new mechanics rich yeah that's the big challenge I think for the Tennessee Titans can they get off to a good start and course Jason Michael will call the plays will be signaled down from the press box to John McNulty the quarterback coach so the mechanics for the quarterback that would be very different today [Applause] while you're over the first exam and this is the runningback antonio andrews who is brought down after a gain of five by Bobby Richardson shuffling on the offensive line today in left guard by Rafael moves to right tackle because of ineffective play from their rookie over there and Kendall Wright is gone injured and out Justin Hunter replaces him and we just saw Antonio Andrews run the ball they want to have a workhorse back and he's been the guy they've elected the biggest change you're gonna see with Mike Mularkey Kevin is an emphasis on being a physically tough football team that starts with running the football and it starts with playing better up front and you'd mentioned the changes along the offensive line I mean you know Bell moves over Mooney moves into the left guard position they were not at all happy with the play they were getting at the right tackle spot especially last week Petoskey really really struggled against the Texans John Jenkins a starter all season looking out that shoulder as you can see take it off the field after a gain of five by Antonio Landry's baby sucking down inside but cluster is in now endeavors by the receivers afternoon [Applause] control back over there from cesano he picks up two is brought down by Stephan Anthony they're looking for the linebackers are missing three linebackers today because of injuries how the defensive line Cameron George playing at an all-pro level linebackers Hawthorne and boating replacing the injured ellaby and Kekaha and at the secondary prank Estrada a two-time Super Bowl starter makes the NFL and we'll be watching him today but there's a look at camp in Georgia that third town has been a real problem for the Tennessee Titans one of 12 last week third down three anchors back yet they go outside McCluster broken up by Delvin Breaux who really took a people last week with three touchdown passes to Odell Beckham jr. it's three and out they got a punt well you've got McCluster out there Kim he's a shorter receiver if you will and you got to put it on them bro right there for the easy break up we'd hate to start a game three and out to punt Brett Kern we're to be indoors today with it a little bit windy rainy outside here at Louisiana and great event Marcus Percy will be out of Missouri hit on 20 full yard punt return against the Giants last week he returns that 112 after the 56-yard punt by crying there's a look at true Brees we had one for the ages last week against the Giants you know there are points at during that game lastly that I didn't think he'd ever throw a completion I mean and he can get like that he can get on a roll it's not uncommon to see him complete 20 straight passes just amazing with exactly Ray Horton was great the defensive coordinator last night's a big feat we hope that he got wore out last week against the Giants here's a first at 10 to the end after my Ganga river picks up a yard on the play Griffin coming from the secondary and bringing him down let's talk about the offensive why the left ankle Terron Armstead having a Pro Bowl type season he's been terrific the wine actually is played very well at Brandon cooks is the leading receiver for this Dorland's offense and he was a main target last week and they welcome back Sumter and the trade with Seattle ester senators but a red difference maker Brees wasn't sacked once last week touchdowns they're trying to run brought down by the linebacker Avery Williamson after a gain of three the defense has been really really terrific all season long and read the defense white jerel Keisha Papa all pro player he's got four sacks linebacker Brian Oh Rocco is new this season for the Titans after six years and Washington get the secondary quarterback Jason before Tia's injured Mountain Cody sensible replaces him leave your emotion is out parish Cox replaces him to the air this is speed I'm 36 and it was brought down on the side by Cody Wiggs he's up to the 42 and picks up a first down on the game of ten well Kevin you mentioned without Jason McCourty also without bleeding ray Wilson they go right after the corners they do a great job the Saints spreading you out who give gives you a lot of different looks initially in a game with different personnel groupings different formations Sean Payton trying to probe to see how you're gonna line up versus four different sets if a couple tight ends the fake game I don't feel he tips it to the 34-yard line Williamson down there to make the stop that rabbit crooks picks up 25 bucket your receiver out of Oregon State just watch how he sells this route and the patience that Brandon cooks has what it does as it creates some separation between himself and the safety and the linebacker it's great anticipation by Brees but a great route gets it done see James flourish comment with the first and 10 gonna get done some out of play he has the catch and Ron there's a flight thrown down to the 27 yard line with a pickup of six through the air and Jerome Boger out of Atlanta is are roughly today pass interference offense number 89 blocking downfield early senior penalty replay first down which that's tight in Josh Hill they just keep it on the right side of your screen Josh Hill he's right here he's got the block before the back actually gets the ball David Bass was given a tough hop on the edge first at 20 back to the 43 receiver Coleman all six foot six of them field to the Tennessee 15-yard line nice grab right there Brandon Coleman out of Rutgers 30-yard pickup in a first down well I just gets them on the slant and go I mean this is a really nice route by Brandon Coleman I mean he has the size that you love and you see him get between the corner Cox and the safety Griffin is that Griffin sky or Cox his gun well I think they're playing to Deep Cover - same great job by Drew Brees holding the safety with his eyes the temple made by linebacker Wesley Woodyard on a gain of three down to the 10 you know just when you think you've had enough of Drew Brees you forget about Mark Ingram he had a breakout season last year Kevin look just under a thousand yards and he's he's gotten so much better in the passing game the one thing you can't forget about are these running backs in the passing game they've already accounted for seventy seven receptions including 33 from Mark Ingram it was a Pro Bowler last year he was terrific you're right he's a physical downhill runner Saida son second down and seven they're the Titanic touchdown Josh Hill well they sell the action away but you got to be able to keep an eye on the under out by the tight end on the back side and everything happens so quickly when you watch this New Orleans offense operate very efficient very detailed in their approach this second touchdown reception on just his ninth reception overall this season high for bathra that he wouldn't feel the last weeks but sit by year seven thought the Dorland's breeze on that drive for four he got cooks for 25 Coleman for 30 then the lumbering tied in for 10 and catered for the Saints out there opening possession Brees is just remarkable in his Hall of Fame career what fifty-one consecutive home games now with the touchdown an on-going NFL record the Kevin makes it look so easy I mean I think he's a master of his domain we talked about in the open he's got superior knowledge and absolute ownership of this offense orient George talked about that to lips don't maintain they're just dropping about here's the kickoff now for Saints what cluster moves an ant zone the truck smooth walk and just can't find a whole lot there as he was brought down on the play by Jamarcus entered on a 16 yard return with a penalty flag thrown out the return during the return holding return team number 89 half the distance to the goal like to keep the ball I'm out that's Philips Superdog began the season with Baltimore true breeze again with a touchdown pass right there one of the crime if it is not they do belong here New Orleans Suffolk possession for Chelsea down our breeze touchdown 7-zip Mariota [Applause] next a place to go right there and lose it a yard on the play ouchie goes in back to the six well we talked about the play injury being different now it goes from the booth Jason Michael the offensive coordinators now up in the booth down to John McNulty who was the quarterback coach into Marcus Mariota and I think the biggest struggle we talked to Mike Mularkey about this last night has been the calling the place a lot of verbiage something that Marcus didn't have in college he really worked with cards and code words so they have to get the plays in early backing down 11 dorial green-beckham flag thrown off a play we saw John Jenkins get back in the game on that line for New Orleans on that last play a flag was dropped to hold its appetites as you can see never a good thing Kevin we have a looking Center and it will be coming down number 78 that pill didn't decline started that which they sign Joe Looney who is the center October 20th after Bryant Winky was put on IR they were replacing you know there's a third different Center the potentials event this season and that's really where and all the communication starts and it's a challenge I think Kevin when you could constantly turning over that position to have some continuity and consistency along that offensive line so gallant goes into the center position Moody who was the center on last week pulls to the guard and Bell who is it the guard goes to the tackle if if it's all all that hurt the level Andrea's is back there now trying to get a blanket Mariota on the booth and he can't hit his running back at the 20 that was Andrews three and out the punt unit takes the field again Vijender Singh well third down continues to be a problem for the Tennessee Titans and of course it starts with poor protection Marcus has to he gets plus he has to move but a big reason why they've had their struggles on third down the average yards to go is dead last it's almost eight and a half yards on third down 44 of 31 the last three weeks you're not going to win football games when you can't convert on third down ought to be careful here the poor punt cover to the Titans number 31 in the NFL we turn it is perfectly covered on a play by Steve Johnson a special teamer and a reserve linebacker otter Kansas and a fumble right there by Marcus Murphy a rookie and the Titans get some early good luck in New Orleans and keep an eye on super nova tight end number 89 he's gonna come in there and he gets it with his right hand he's the one that initially knocks it out it's a terrific play and Johnson right there to scoop it up just got done saying they were number 31a punt coverage of coverage here was outstanding by the Titans and so look where they get it first out intent but the 42 of New Orleans [Applause] [Music] [Applause] we try them [Applause] and a nice weaving move right there by Antonio Andrews out of Western Kentucky he goes for rate antics into the 33 well the offense is really struggled I mean the 31st in offense look at these numbers not at 300 total yards the last four games 13 points are fewer and we mentioned the third down problems Kevin and again I think it's not only do you lose the head coach you also lose the play collar but they think they haven't been able to come up with an identity of who they want to be on offense in that 43 defense suck it down and Warren Dixon is coming in at the quarterback and has thrown away over the head of the tie that Craig Stevens is Vario to self the pressure and again he told us last night ball security is now at the top of the list for priority I think to win they know they need a clean performance on offense they can't have the self-inflicted wounds the penalties that turnovers the commenter's and the thing that Marcus Mariota brainsick Kevin is some explosiveness something that they haven't had at the quarterback position with Zach Mettenberger the last couple it's this guy can make some plays outside the pocket just two defensive backs third the long one Oh Yoda [Applause] you may be shy buy a half yard won't be surprised to see him go for here on fourth down hit by a couple on the play Bobby Richardson was leading the brigade inside for New Orleans they have failed on 14 consecutive third down tries going back to last week or any time you get penetration this short yardage or goal line situation it's tough you know they're excited about this young back Kevin Antonio Andrews not a lot a lot of people know a lot about the free agent last year out of Western Kentucky he's tough he's physical and he's a finisher all right here is Ryan Sukup who has not missed a field goal or extra point this season a 51-yard try to put the Titans on the board and he is true and it's 7 to 3 suck up eight of eight and a couple field goals last week in Houston Mike Clark who's got his first three points off the boy the long time since your head coach for the Jets now with the bills back in to New York it will be any bulletin board material by hate talking the wrecks not gonna be able to help himself now with a look right there and Ryan suck up with that 51-yard field goal he's made 14 consecutive field goals going back to last season and earthy is bad even after fumbling the putt which gave Tennessee the good position to get that three and get on the board inactives today we've talked about the linebackers and let's throw in there Luke McCown with a back injury the backup quarterback for the Saints really kind of a strange deal Kevin he heard it on Thursday that the team didn't really find out about it until Thursday night and of course you know that that impacts not just in terms of what they do with the back-up plan but also as you mentioned he is the holder so now a sudden worst it has to hold for key 80s and field goals on the 20-yard line of a touch that gets into one first at ten bottled up inside by a couple including outwards where the game of three the petroi three well you talk about the Tennessee Titans the defense has not been their problem in the top five in total defense third against the past allowing just 198 yards a game through the air and it really starts up front they've got a good defensive line they've got better guys on the perimeter with obviously Brian a rack poke coming over Morgan's had a good start the secondary Kevin today I think is really going to be challenged against you Brees in this mess and it is a good second it was my right toe and knocked out they were going outside to speed and Brian Iraq Poe the three-time Pro Bowler the Gursky Award winner will party Lord winner at Texas comes up with a nice deflection and Armstead the left tackle he has to be more aggressive you've got to fire out and attack the midsection of a guy like Brian Iraq but you can't give him a free jump at a ball that's being kicked to the perimeter Derrick Morgan is now out at least for a while we don't know if he's got a return on their outside for the Tennessee Titans shoulder injury down at 7 here cups breeze the pilot said he goes outside he's got the receiver speed and it's a first out reception to the 32 is coverage by sets of offbeat of 9 but the Saints really like Willie Snead I mean he can do it all he'll crack a defensive end he'll block on the perimeter he's tough he catches everything breeze told us on Friday he said he's kind of a blend of Julian Edelman and Hines Ward I like that in a receiver he's got a couple third down receptions already today the speed just does the right thing he may not be the fastest guy the best route runner but he's in the right place at the right time Boyd viateur long through this route we're starting job in the NFL first attempt at the go ride to the Benjamin Watson right in front of Griffin he's having a career year it's a 12 yard gain he's up to the 44 let's go to New York and James bad thumbing all boomer I'd try Ryan Fitzpatrick under center for the Jets he's gonna find Eric Decker 7 yard TD reception that's a sixth touchdown of the year for Eric Decker Jets take a 7-3 lead Kevin Harlan Rich Gannon you and I had the Jets at Oakland last week we saw the intruder Fitzpatrick not surprised to see him come back Kevin's a tough guy but how about that Jets defense they missed 25 tackles a week ago what isn't a substitution there defensively for Tennessee and the timeout taken by fleas breezes sand weight event the clock is rolling we'll wait for these guys a flag Hispanic throne there's a lot going on this crew likes to throw the flag do don't they more than any other crew at football camp and the drew Brees is not law happy [Applause] [Music] well you look at Drew Brees Kevin he was really frustrated with the mechanics of how the officials operated over that last play they had to burn the timeout take a look at it after this play first down at 10 really whatever that was just running their first time out again the pistol here snowing back there ladies just going short and tremendous pressure from Iraq Pro my Gary joins us now here's one of the things that you have to realize the league does not want the office of substitute and get an advantage by catching the defense off guard so the umpire runs in lets the defense match up and if the clock burns down on the offense it's on the responsibility of the offense to take that time out shut it down a tent-like hold on one second here as we watch Brees his own 444 and it gives it off to Aunt grub who's that by a pile and brought down on the play after a gain of 2 by Wesley Woodyard so is it on is it incumbent Mike on breezes to get things going who should fall in that particular play yeah it's gonna be on breezes shoulders he's got to make sure that he has a substitution that they have plenty of time to get the play off and let the defense match up here the primate for the officials to get out of position yeah the problem was it took the Tennessee Titans too long to make their substitutions in the umpire walk did not once but twice that was some sloppy some sloppy mechanics in my opinion my taking bring them in here for the true breezes for the touchdown pass already today he goes down better Marcus Colston brought down by Griffin into Tennessee territory at the 38 he picks up 16 in a Saints first down but I love whit with Drew Brees is able to do in the pocket keV and keep his eyes down the field slide keep the ball in the throwing position and find the open receiver not the tallest quarterback but he does a great job finding windows in the rush Lane there's so many smaller quarterbacks who thought well why does he do it in his son well I think it's experience I think it's him his knowledge of defensive football mr. Kenneth play the drive it go up T always down Brandon cooks touchdown [Applause] and he beats parish Cox for the agog strike please two cooks [Applause] we talked to Paris Cox last night Ken what was the one thing he said they can't do they can't allow drew brees to throw the ball over their head in the secondary they've got to be able to defend the deep ball and eliminate the explosive plays it's just what happened here you talked about the attention to detail that Brees has surely he knows he's going up against the corner banking Cox has been an active the last couple games because of a hamstring yeah and there without their other starting quarter the corner and Jason McCourty four-bath makes it 14 to 3 two touchdown passes by Drew Brees by the way the record for two games in a row is 12 in touchdown past moments ago this time of 38 yards from Drew Brees well you got to find a way to get to him Kevin and disrupt him a little bit the timing and the rhythm and he'd be allowed to sit back there could be a long day for this Tennessee defense McCluster will get this as a returnable kick and right from the goal line text him a cluster for Mississippi a high draft pick by Tennessee Sanford was there bringing him down also a hit by the tight end for the Saints Josh Hill 25-yard returns so Mike Mularkey who's been a head coach before in the NFL before that he was a longtime NFL tight end who played with him he's a teammate of yours I did and I've great respect for Mike he's been an offensive coordinator and three different teams a head coach twice for Buffalo in Jacksonville he believes in a couple simple concepts being the tougher team and the team the place the greater purpose and not doing the little things that get you beat that 150 there look just like Sam Moyes didn t a guy that actually got hired oh yeah right hired him in the NFL short dropped by Mariota outside he goes here boys tight end Anthony Fasano who's played with Dallas and Miami and Jen's a city up a quick six right there he's out just beyond the 30 they've got to open this thing up a little bit offense over the Titans first three drives nine plays 15 yards no first downs there's a reason why you went out spent the money on Marcus Mariel at this guy play you know maybe I don't want to I don't I don't think he can be conservative in a game like this against Drew Brees or you'll fall behind too quickly Heisman Trophy winner the two overall pick I'm sorry whoops somebody jump Richardson on that defensive line Andrews go dance and then he's sought out and found by Anthony Stephan Anthony brings him down Tennessee Titans have a new coach they've lost six straight they bring moriata back all side defense number 78 moved into the neutral zone prior to the snap five yard pillory that's a certain left defensive end Bobby Richardson yep Mariota comes back rich but like we said before at the top Tennessee is still in it because of their weak division their NFC South division and all they can think about Kennedy you can't look they can't look down the road they just got to find a way to to get some production area offense as I said the defense has not been the problem they've been a top five defense most of the season they'll just out the first first down injuries and gobbled up on the line by a Cameron Jordan to the 39 with a gain of about 4 on the plate let's go to New York and James Jets state low they did this is Chris Ivory one-yard run right off the left side 14 3 that's off of a Blake bortles interception 14 to 3 Jets Kevin and rich and we know that ivories got a hamstring issue so it's good to these strikes early on that one and we know that Blake bortles goes in a 72 program I like that one [Applause] [Music] Andrews going on around the ball nice trip up right there big play by Michael Mountain whose dad played in a thought that he was a receiver for the Saints back in the late 70s it's a loss of a yard back to the 39 Kevin you mentioned they want to run the football and they want to run the football behind that right side wall max a big man at 325 pounds as his Bell he's 345 pounds and that's where majority of the runs have been right now behind the right side of that offensive line Titans balance down 22 consecutive drives without a tie a touchdown third down and six here [Applause] as part of the deflection by to lady Willis touchdown Luana playing a deflected ball by Keenan Lewis a terrific plot by fellow wide receiver Justin hunter and a 61-yard deflected touchdown pass Mariota to their top receiver Delanie Walker well a little unexpected good fortune a terrible decision throw by Markus Mario he's fallen off his back foot the safety and the corner Keenan Lewis and Jairus Byrd run into each other and Delanie Walker is there for the easy cash they have gone - I just said it that got 22 consecutive offensive drives without a touchdown and they get one right there and the terrific Delanie Walker comes up with a touchdown reception and Tennessee has scored Burton Lewis poblet the ricocheted to Walker a good block by hunter just out of our spin - all my gosh what just happened Brees with two touchdown passes Mariota has one Tuesday on CBS one pill makes him a criminal's worst nightmare and the FBI is greatest asset don't miss a new episode of the hit drama limitless Tuesday at 10:00 9:00 central only CBS long this play from scrimmage this year by the Tennessee Titans on the 61-yard ricochet reception for a touchdown Delanie Walker sometimes you're better off being luckam big good point in the ensuing kickoff fight suck up who insult this score today 51-yard field goal and it's brought out here by Murphy and a good tackle made once again by the special teamer Steve Johnson who also had a punt fumble recovery 25 yard return here's a look at blue green well drew picks up right where he left off last week 8 of 10 for 150 yards he finds his tight end Josh Hill for the first score and this was a terrific throw great air on the football to Brandon cooks right over the top of Paris Cox here we go with Drew Brees they have a chance to go over 500 for the first time with the wall today sweet finish offense we consecutive wins here's the first it's AI sense of awe and others have brought down also every Williamson over there a gain of two on the play yet they've handled adversity rich this New Orleans team has they began oh and three and John Payton started one of four but now we'll find out with three consecutive wins how they handle some prosper yeah they got off to a rocky start losing their first three as you point out but there was no sense of panic and in a large part because of the play of their offense they've now want for the last five by the way unbeaten Carolina who just took care of Indianapolis and Oakland town this past Monday leap bail right now on Packers were coming off a disappointing and bad Lawson gently about nine yards and they were looking for the twisting receiver printed : out of Rutgers coverage by offensive line complete 38 well you're seeing a bunch of double moves from the Saints going after these corners I really think the safeties the Tennessee Titans are really gonna have to play well this one you can't be too shallow and you can't get caught flat-footed against Brees and you study the tape what happened last week against the Giants at times some of their safeties had their heels at 10 yards can't do it you have to get your depth and you have to make sure you take proper angles ladies going into the net off road the long let's talk on the pike at bike parks who is speaking to the long touchdown pass moments ago the quakes Parrish Cox and a flag has been thrown back at the 12 if it stands Cox with his second pick of the year [Applause] automatic perfect wipes it out wipe away the pickoff by the tight indeed you see Klug he's been on the right side of your screen I mean just we can do that and not do that it just wasn't necessary would have been a huge turnover the Titans the Saints part of the field so it's kind of penalty this with Mike Milwaukee talk to us the last night about we've got to go out and play smart football and be fundamentally sound on both sides of the ball we'll assume the game that gets the call right here and studied with the Welsh at Brown leading tackler gain of five is when he looked into to the 41 that's the end of the first quarter from New Orleans on CBS [Music] they love their Saints here in New Orleans and a look through 15 minutes of numbers by the times by set Brown down to the Tennessee 46 gain of 12 by in trouble well look at the Left Carl Alito and the tight end gonna come around and get the kick out a little power play with Ingram he's just gonna follow the left guard and the tight end up into the second level a well-executed run the New Orleans Saints you're right on that block Lila Ledo and that was terrific - that left guard [Applause] brought down on the play by Mike Becker Everett Williams in the gate the belong to the 45 the Williamson has played well for them as as Zach Brown I just think the personnel yeah I think we've seen progress with this defense last year they were struggling with a switching before three two a three four this year they have better talent and depth on defense there's diplom oh who is the assistant head coach on this team involved with all varieties and parts of that defense he thought they put their long time potential coordinator with the Pittsburgh Steelers anywhere there's Dick LeBeau you can count on the team playing well of defense there's a precise overall defense defense is Tennessee that is receiving really speed you may attack with a that hamstring is over then limping the defensive back for Tennessee in a 32 yards throw caught by speed out of Ball State first out New Orleans 7 we've been talking about double moves and watch Sneed outside he is gonna start inside on the slant watch the corner it's Cox he jumps on the slant safety can't get over there soon enough drew Brees as a nice job pushing speed back to the sidelines the double moves have really hurt the Titans corners to the first d-10 shiroishi let the charge finally puck to hump Iraq beau who celebrates by himself first time the praise has been sucked in his last 72 pass attempts going back to the Colts game on the 24th of October well Casey Kevin he's he may be the best player they have on defense and Sean Payton said he's playing as well as any defensive line in the league right now he shows up everywhere in the running games in the passing game he is a handful inside heads or the agents act allowed by that offensive line second down vote to he's the two touchdown passes today money on this tackle by Griffin Ingram is finally brought down by David bass inside the five at the 3a kitchen run up 13 first and goal New Orleans just keep an eye on Drew Brees watch him look this off he's gonna hold the rush he holds the ball till the very last second and then he dumps it down to Mark Ingram and Ingram is a very good screen runner because he's patient he has great vision and will allow that group to get out in front you can see the yards after catch and as a team New Orleans is number two in the NFL in yards after catch there is a player down [Applause] [Music] and it's the offensive center max Unger a two-time Pro Bowler who they acquired in a trade with Seattle and you see in the background Clemente taken some snaps with Drew Brees Sanyo Hellmuth at a lower place hunger but Brees Kevin nine completions spread out among seven different receivers this is where he's at his best down in the red zone 72% completion percentage which is tops right now in the NFL yep and these number five in passing yards number five in touchdown passes so far we were joking around on Friday and said about throwing the ball in this part of the field I was telling it Peyton Manning has thrown more touch taps from inside the 5-yard line he just chuckle through storm a lot of as well first and goal nobody with the high snap Vincent it was flagging TC got him late and Brees gets up a little bit wobbly where the penalties on the quarterback have been a killer clue got the penalty when they threw the interception I beg for your forgiveness Casey's got to pull up those drawers off those drawers young man a little bit too much for us here on a Sunday afternoon but the thing is I think you know breeze is so good here depending on the frame breeze is so good holding on to the ball link to the last other's life and I looking at the ball they're just looking at the quarterback I think yeah heat but he does but the thing about him Kim that the primary is not there he always knows where his outlet or quick answer throw is he can find you a completion now personal foul roughing the passer number 95 yeah Pacific to the goal first time an event Angela blacks have been I really thought it was on Casey yeah yeah it was Casey tried to he tried to pull up I mean he did but you know all that weight moving forward kid he just can't stop it on a dime I mean it's it's a big man you got to give him it you got to give him a couple yards to slow down he's he's 305 pounds of twisted steel I was gonna finish it off by myself but my stone back sucker comes back in at center hello Betty it was going to be a receiver away baby stuff there's no signal from either side he did not get in they held on well a rat PO and others coming through look like a xiguan Jones making the stop so good penetration thought for a second there they may get this when he's close he was Woodyard to got him around the waist pull them right back close the Saints have been really good in this part of the field and now we have a player I think Oh Mahalo Nui is either got a bleeding issue or he is a little woozy and they automatically stop playing bring him out oh yeah he's got something as I you know he times his stuff from the turf headaches a little black pellets Rix there's a rubberized helots he was just traded to this team not just but recently traded by New England here then he would start as a fullback in H back get a tight end with the Patriots and doing the same kind of role here Peyton is now a check a lot of like in a lot of ways aren't the end I think he gives him position versatility I mean you mentioned Kevin he can line up in the backfield he could be an in line players smart do the right thing there's something to be said about players who give bright things the situation [Applause] go to that Brees one-yard touchdown quarterback speak and his third touchdown of the day - through the year and on the ground freeze and the Saints connects their lead attend with the extra point in waiting watch his vertical jump this is amazing with this and you people wonder why he is such a good throw in the football it's his core strength and his lower body strength he works on those who works on them all the time he's not so concerned about throwing around the weights with his chest and shoulders but he really makes sure Kevin he gets after it during the season taking care of his legs and his core Mouse needed a 32 yard reception Ingram had a 12 yard run in the 13-yard pass reception please takes it over on a leak an extra point makes it 21 Brees is Saints with touchdown drives today of 72 Chevy 9 at 80 yards of breeze catapults up a good look at drive by true breeze on your touchdown leap [Music] it's amazing Kevin you just look at Brees and how he's played so far here in the first half 11 of 14 couple touchdowns he understands where to go with the ball every snap in fact in most cases he knows where to go with the football before the snap for bass we'll be kicking off without Morse did the side for them not too long ago releasing Santiago Dexter McCluster he'll take it from the phone line for the Tennessee Titans and is submarining and making the stop on the play TJ Graham 23 yard return week 9 continues later today on CBS and for some of you on Fox then tonight with Sunday Night Football on NBC in tune in tomorrow Monday Night from Mariota that got the missing two games with the MCL sprain the time along with the big block of attack on his engines with a nice fake gonna move on Hoffman finally it's good bringing them down it's a tension run to the 46 indicated 23 on first down really nice decision by Marcus Mariota trying to throw the ball down the field truly a two-man rout it is not there and it when it's not there he does the next best thing he comes right down to his running back Antonio Andrews it's a good alert play by the young quarterback Andrews the leading rusher for this chassis team which they've got three seven a game [Applause] seven yards per curiam he's going down the offset first attempt walleston is not here [Applause] with the Plotkin it opens the door and with Andrews Gallup town filled inside the 20-yard line up New Orleans against the number 30 defense the number 25 ranked defense against the run of 30 in yard running a first down for Tennessee look at the right guard and right tackle ooh that's gonna wash out right here they just wash out the three technique and look at this cut by the back really nice job they have worked long and hard this week on the inside running game it started on Wednesday it continued on Thursday and Friday this is a priority for the Titans he'll go click down to the right check on play the one right there it's but pushed her in with a first in ten a Hawthorne tackle from the linebacking core to the 13 yard line in the game of two and this is what you got to find out you got to find out about this offensive line Kevin and some of the changes that you've made and they've got to be a physical football team in the running game and for them to win they've got a win at the line of scrimmage [Music] we've been searching for an identity [Applause] Asano's of that field playing fullback [Applause] barrio de that by the side too Delaney walk through the five and maybe to the floor let's put him at the three Walker gets his second ricochet his second deflected reception of a that's a good game of 12 a really nice round pretty good coverage underneath by Malti Jensen some good fortune joiny Walker on T replacing upper position that's the guy I'm gonna be looking for Kevin look at Delanie Walker leads the team in receptions we don't say that very often in this way can you look at the tight end position [Applause] open to Laney Walker they take care with Jamaica Sanford gettin beat it's a two yard touchdown pass the second of the day had a smile to the face of Mike Mularkey his quarterback Mariota with another thrown yeah I mean just real simple just gonna go in the corner can I just say that I'd find the tight end in this part of the field Mullaney wall they'll even cover him I mean he's leading the team in receptions what am I missing here he's got 35 catches coming into today's game he's the guy you got to stop down in the red zone great play-action fake gold gets it done Walker spent seven years in San Francisco in Tennessee in 2013 here is the suck-up extra point he is never missed an extra point in his career it continues that way making a 2117 missing a couple gave you the sprained MCL the Heisman Trophy winner Mariota with his second touchdown pass today to the reliable Walker while you're taking a look inside the national World War two museum here in New Orleans and November is the NFL salute to service month that before today's game the victory bells of the World War two museum sang the national anthem wonderful tribute see the camouflage headsets and other gear worn by coaches on the sidelines today no camouflage what Tennessee has come out to do Durland mariana go after it in Delanie Walker has had a terrific day three catches 75 yards two touchdowns interceptions good guns Lukey Murphy on the kickoff and the Avenger tackle made by Cody rings on a 35-yard kick off return by Marcus Murphy in honor of Veterans Day for every point scored during the NFL's 32 salute to service games the NFL will donate $1,000 to its nonprofit partners the Pat Tillman foundation the USO and the Wounded Warrior Project to join the salute and learn more visit nfl.com slash salute thank them for all they do for us first attend spillin tripped up by PC spectres ahead four three two the 33 you mentioned Marcus Mariota Kevin started over four since then he's gone five for five with two touchdowns he's found his rhythm against this New Orleans defense New Orleans is going to make it to the postseason they need better play out of their defense it isn't that's been a thorn in their side through the first eight games there's the offense they've looked very very good they bubble the punt return Murphy did models of the week before to evoke in Athens state through this week Tim Hightower he is up an active for the team shut it down going tithi nobody home his receiver stop that was me with the coverage by Griffith the Raiders the Steelers to New York James and boomer and this time it's the raid JB at ac/dc their car to Amari Cooper is like Rich Gannon and Tim brown all over again Brady's take the lead 4011 over the Steelers late in the second quarter Wow flashbacks with Gannon and brown back to Kevin Harlan Cooper's first catch of the red zone all season long for the Raiders forget Cooper how about Gannon the brown I love it over but the Raiders are without me where this game meets something between the Raiders who steals that's awesome great time across wagon sense of awe they were going for Brandon cooks that cooks Brees connection has been key wonderful chemistry as Brees develops young receivers rich really Marcus Colston the only holdover gone as Graham gone as Lance Moore the familiar names you've seen for so long quite a bit of change around the quarterback Kevin you're right for seven straight years he had the same four guys that wide receiver Colton Henderson more and Meechum now it's need and cooks and Coleman they don't know all the subtle nuances and Drew Brees doesn't assume anything with these young receivers never cooks got injured early last season so this is kind of like the first full-bodied Susan they've worked together there's no foul on the play [Applause] that'll drag Sean Payton to drink looking I mean honestly you can throw a flag and then you pick it up and say there's no no I don't know I never understood that you throw it then you say well maybe it wasn't about Sean and his night beer with the New Orleans Saints five playoff appearances two NFC championship games a Super Bowl coach of the year so they got a pun three and punt for new orleans force dead cluster get down there I am Dixon a cornerback gets up seven have returned 45-yard punt the return of Mariota has been a good one for the Tennessee Titans he's got two touchdown passes today tomorrow on CBS why be ordinary when it's your destiny to be super don't miss a new episode of the hit drama Supergirl tomorrow 8:00 7:00 central only CBS sided possession for the Tennessee Titans wide six phases of six straight against the ascending limb sense number 29 Mariana a custard runs into a cluster and he picks up about four off the plane well you look at the landing Walker so far he's been in the right place at the right time I mean tonight you need to see this ball until it gets tipped by bird and of course another one for the serendipity of course a 61 yard touchdown followed up by that last one from two yards Marcus Mariota follow follow following the tight ends 9 pass attempts only one to a wide receiver for the Titans expressed by truster on second down and six and falling on a bear Kevin Williams the 35 year old multiple all-pro defensive lineman it is a gain of four he's up to the 37 they trying to find some rhythm in the running game and it's been Antonio Andrews Bishop safety is a guy that hasn't had a carry Kevin in two and a half week did you believe that easy last year Hazen out of Washington thirty-two there comes the rush and nepali was coming right into the grill of the quarterback Mariota that's a sign of growth to throw it away and take the punch they're really nothing there and Saints do a terrific job with their coverage you see the play-action fake away to trying to sneak McCluster out they cover that they cover Walker on the crosser redcurrant will plug deep back for the Saints will be Marcus Murphy he has a punt return touchdown this year 74 yards against Carolina whoo he gets off a rocket if he wisely lets it bounce it back and that's what you're supposed to do and it takes a great Tennessee bounce retrieved on the play by Park Weston Hough 55-yard well-placed current punts here comes breeze here come the Saints up 21 17 Mardi Gras world party Gras busy up here in New Orleans coming up at the Verizon halftime report JB Tony Pardo Burnett coach Cowher for the do's and scores and highlights you want and they'll preview Thursday Night Football only on and that's all that work that's all coming up from our CBS Studios in New York on the peláez at halftime report with a look at Sean P that relationship between play caller and quarterback is something special new orleans they've been together since day one back in 2006 Ingram his head first in ten walk by Watson and into the 11th on a game of three you use the word synchronicity in the relationship between paint and breathe I think that it's certainly it's a good the description of their relationship you know I think they have something special and I've only had that once in my 17-year career cam you look at what they have done together and you know they have so many different conversations and discussions during the week about the game plan Sun by way of text messages every play is diagnosed and discuss it's that it's that type of attention to detail Daquan Jones while Nagaina want the kind of relationship that you had with John Bruton and Oakland yeah it doesn't come around all that often I just think that Sean Payton and Drew Brees are very similar I think that you know both have a little bit of a chip on the shoulder Sean you know played at Eastern Illinois was a replacement player drew didn't get recruited by Texas had to go to Purdue wasn't Austin runs in the first round draft pick and I think they that they you know there's similar sized guys undersized guys but they they just they take great pride in their preparation performance each week and neither one of them wants to let the other one down it gets pretty awesome this is one of the secondary that's five it's third down and six what a catch what's Benjamin Watson he's having a career year he just puts up at 19 yard at diving reception he's almost 35 he's playing like he's 25 it just gives the Saints a first down what a great route by the tight end it means it's gonna go at the seam and I mentioned that word complete tight end we don't use that term much anymore but it's true with Watson he's their best blocker he's the best route runner and he has great hands makes people forget about Ginny's weight doesn't on first at 10 here with their hand off up the pedal down defense with the gain of four and the rock right there for four yards to the 34 well he has certainly picked up the slack and I just look at his numbers this season not a lot of difference there I think Jimmy misses New Orleans a little bit he's been lost in that offense out there in Seattle but you know Benjamin Watson you look at his numbers and then I said I said before he's a he's a willing blocker and you don't say that too often about tight ends especially in this outfits Ingram at the previous game sucked it down six streak of a good walk at the right angle he was devoured by Wesley Woodyard Nina five flag is down that game should have stand near the 40 yard line holding offense number 72 10-yard penalty we played section Terron Armstead who we were talking about at the top of the broadcast yes right here I don't know I just I just it's a pretty good block he just gets and then he just throws him down yeah right almost fell off his old horse yeah such a good block they caught him for home and I'm steady he is a special player you may recall and he was coming out of Arkansas Pine Bluff he ran the fastest forty type of an offensive lineman never ever ever recorded at the car mantra good nuggets 16 witty before t1 please Watson about 35 yard line the other tackle made by Zac Brown came to temp just a little hang crowd they refer to that in the West Coast verbage is a hand kraut when he just hooks up over the football hey why hey Hank for hook each tank for her then all these things they're not just numbers there are there's a reason for the madness and the I think the history of the offense is always fascinating why you call plays in certain situations but again get the fact that drew and Shawn have been together for so long makes a world of difference two-minute warning another sellout here today Louisiana at the doll since that to time on step three is now forgotten six forgot me subjects today let's see where they go here this comes the internal personnel Brees is not trying to just get this ball out he's not trying to take a shot special special special he's gonna try and rock him up and take a shot Spiller out of the backfield spill over Thanks job by Tennessee's defense and try in Iraq poem limiting into a gate of three and forcing another a second consecutive through Orleans but no Kevin this is what he saw and saw the internal pressure and he wanted to block it up he just tries to get the one-on-one with the back on a rack Bo and Brian Iraq but does a really nice job making the adjustment and attack on the boundary twice it stops the clock and they don't have to use a timeout forced in one of the best six players part for New Orleans but muster on the bounds with the ball inside the 20 46-yard punt well we began the broadcast telling you that at one in six the Tennessee Titans are closer to first place in their division than the four and four Dorland Saints are in there's but one up volatile turbulent year it's been Pat Hamilton gone in Indianapolis all the quarterback changes in Houston a big part of a kevin has been the problem with the quarterback walk is up there and Indianapolis getting guys fire they can't decide on the quarterback and and use the first five six weeks of the season bortles is still struggling as a young player and of course they've got a rookie quarterback that missed a couple games Mettenberger stepped in he's oh and eight as you started ladies contain a twisting and turning but cluster at the 23 getting that seven on the play so hard to win in this business we don't have that quarterback that's why the Titans went out drafted Marcus Mariota is the big question I have is houses Kochi change going to affect him down the road second three they're going for their receiver the rookie out of Oklahoma Green Beckham who began at Missouri and was a force after being the number one high school kid in the country then ran foul off the field they let him go he goes though you'd have a place robe all month is a good look at receiver I mean six foot five 237 pounds he can run he just got to learn to to detail his work he's got to learn to become a better route runner at this level so just went along as out as receiver Mariota does not have a completion to his secrets a name for God and three custom bears Walker every while brought down by the rookie Anthony he picks up ten on third and three he works his way to the 35 yard line you start using those timeouts here yep he's a guy strategies he only meant for the steady cover and him up to the Saints Lady Gaga he trusts the rocket to get back to collect has a bass pedal in reception by Henry Douglas and they're familiar with it here in New Orleans the former Falcon picks up 30 and that is a first down they'll take it to the 35 yard line of the Saints Tennessee uses their first timeout big completion to Harry Douglas so here we gothis he's had a rib issue miss the last two games comes up with a videography build on June 1st and 10 Mariota [Applause] [Music] at a fingering down to the 14 yard line brought down by Anthony and he picks up 21 on the play with an acrobatic move really nice throw there movement to his left rolled back across his body to McCluster for the first down the offense has awakened to the tension tightens the cut on number 31 today [Music] the courts Lulu to pay the Pearl coming here and making the stop was in a fumble the ball is loose in so they have it and now the ensuing discussion about my officials talking about whether or not he was down [Applause] two minutes what comes out once it is was his forward progress we on the field of the fumble recovered by the defense for first down [Applause] [Music] McCluster the fumble this tighten team comes in number 28 in turnovers they're -7 to give away take away keep an eye on Hawthorne he's gonna come in there and put his helmet right on the football and knock it out that ball is clearly on the ground that is an NFL best 5th red zone takeaway by the New Orleans defense and the carl was the one to russell down and just the one positive kid when you talk about this defense this time last year they had just two takeaways on defense this year they already have 13 and 5 as you said have come in the red zone that's something 13 now rich and 17 all of last year you find out that's a pretty good statistic to follow as well it's been a point of emphasis with Sean Payton with Rob Ryan a defensive coordinator they work on ball extraction every day in practice all right coming up on the Verizon halftime report JB & Company scores news highlights all over the NFL plus a preview of Thursday Night Football on NFL Network it's the Verizon halftime report Drew Brees is going to take his team to halftime with the kneel down that'll take us to the half freeze with two touchdown passes one of 38 yards one of 10 yards and a one-yard touchdown vault and Marcus Mariota with a 61 yard touchdown pass to Walker in a two yard touchdown pass to Walker I don't think a lot of people saw this score coming but Mariota has sparked the offense for the Titans who come in 1 and 6 against the 4 and 4 New Orleans Saints that's the end of the first half we'll take a break in the Verizon halftime report you're watching the NFL on CBS the home to Super Bowl 50 [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Walker is caught two touchdown passes today Brees is thought a couple touchdown passes and faulted in on the quarterback sneak that is what we've got going on so far gloria Lovett presented by McDonald's he times gold Mariota and Walker connecting on a 61 yarder which keeps the Titans close as we go to the second half Walker's been terrific Kevin Harlan rich cannon thanks for joining us here from rainy New Orleans new coach six straight losses Titans playing pretty well yeah I'm not surprised Kevin to see them respond a lot of adversity when you lose your head coach this team has some patch and they really came out in the first half and played with great energy and enthusiasm what about adjustments rich in the second half I think when you look at the Tennessee Titans I mean they've got to keep the mix offense with me I think it's been good 12 runs 15 passes Marcus has been pretty efficient two touchdowns no interceptions I think defensively the corners have to play better in particular Parrish Cox he's already been beaten twice and of course Drew Brees keep keep the pedal to the metal 14 of 19 232 yards in a couple touchdowns I think defensively this is a Tennessee offensive line Kevin to get up seven sacks last week so far for the Saints they haven't gotten a sniff they had to do a better job getting some pressure on the rookie quarterback so for Brees in oil and Saints they've won three consecutive games a chance to get to 500 with the win today for the first time this season coming off that record day offensively with seven touchdown passes in over 500 passing yards a week ago against the Giants how would they handle the success that they've recently had after beginning the season Owen three our second F with Marcus Murphy taking out the rookie out of Missouri and he goes up to near the 20-yard line with a 23 yard return - makes the stop and through 30 minutes of football hero the number yeah I'm not surprised to see the Saints put up 265 yards but how about the Titans Kevin 240 yards in the first half this is after going four straight games with less than 300 yards of total offense for Tennessee the new coach Ken Whisenhunt we'd only been on the job for a year and a half and has three and a half years remaining on a long-term contract with a lot of money Mike Mularkey who is taking over as an arrow head coach he was the tight end associate head coach Stassi Jen coming in with six consecutive all breeds with the first attack and not a whole lot there with a gain of four the jackal by Avery Williamson and the tackle of the twenty five when you look at the possessions I mean they got on the roll there and then he kind of cooled off a little bit a couple one three and out but I do know this the Saints offense look at the first drive in the 2nd half they have scored five and five straight games they usually come out of the half and make some adjustments and put together a nice Drive in the second down and five in Russia launched the helmet was teasing before he almost lost his drawers there's a gain of four he's up to the 29 yard line Lolita was blocking ahead of him on that guard see I don't know if it's the back that does it or not then it's Ledo gets that hand up in there and knocks the helmet off of Terrell Kasey the play of this offensive line of New Orleans has been a big story one of the reasons why they've won three in a row yeah they're doing a good job get where anything can you look at them they particular they're doing to protect the pass to try the plow with a third and wanna meet Grande and try to get out to the 30 and maybe shine is shy yeah so the defense holds we know this is a terrific Ray Horton coached Tennessee Titan defense number five overall that's a big stop it is a huge stop for that Tennessee defense take want Jones or rack pull all had a hand and stop an increment they're gonna punt three flights look at the penetration you look at you mentioned Daquan Jones KC up in there Griffin the strong safety he's up in there the free safety Thomas forced it here's the all-time sinks leader in foster home he'll bounce back the taking an emotional shout from Brian Dixon the defensive back takes it felt that it was a 43-yard pot there was a five yard return Mariota will get it again crack at helmets in the dome today early third on CBS it's the first play of the second half for the Tennessee Titans the defense just four stay free and punch the breeze or sacks [Applause] and Drew's into that field go outside it is caught by Justin Hunter no Kendall right today he's injured Dean of five right there when they go up to a rocky start Kevin I hate these three and outs but then they got on a roll you look there in the third possession third fourth and fifth possessions and scores and I think they really went into the locker room with some confidence they're just down by four they get a good stop but their defense will clean out now that Titans have good field position to start the second half but clusters in shutting down six to fight the quarterback but a nice couple of touch moved by Green it's backed up Springs his way past midfield and takes a pile to the 49 on a 14 yard short thrown a big game yet it only can block Anthony this is a really nice job though by Marcus Mariota he's gonna fake the ball watch how quickly he gets us out of his hands with some pressure in his face there's one thing he said you noticed the release is quick release deceptively and that's what Mike Mularkey told us last night he has no problem getting that grip and getting the ball out quickly enters back in first attack [Applause] until their dreams side nice tackle made by Michael bought to well after really struggling last week I'm not surprised to see them make really a number of changes along the offensive line left guard Center a Byron Bell goes from left guard to right tackle I think the right side war Mac and Bell that's a nice combination Kevin they really have run the ball well there and last week they gave up seven sacks for the Houston Texans not a single sack to the first that was a second seven set game they've given up this year to downtown [Applause] the runningback attached outfield and they go once again to the a-pillar green-beckham 20 yard pickup flagged down at the 42 yard line we BEC have just caught one 414 illegal contact defense number 32 that pill didn't decline the play and the first time where the Jewish Kenny Vaccaro in the secondary for the Saints a good look at the Isola browner actually in pretty good position he's gonna grab right at the end needs to learn to keep his hands to himself he's been penalized 15 times already this season which is five more than his closest offender how about that he says that cedar roads all upheld on the Minnesota UI 28 first in Terezin [Applause] all he got good tax went to the full-back for Whoopi and a key down to the 18 yard line he's hit by a couple including bird close to a first down Jostens Fowler with a nice block the rookie out of Alabama he was the lead fullback on that run Santonio Brown Kevin he doesn't go down easy I'm sorry aunt Tonio Andrews he doesn't go down he's just watch him and what he has done it really came out of nowhere undrafted out of Western Kentucky look at the production he had there and certainly caught the attention of the scouts of the Tennessee Titans he was a high school quarterback in Kentucky effective as the state's mr. football second down to Marvin Benji's by water with a good heater right there is Stephan Anthony he is the first-round pick in a rookie out of Clemson and leads all rookies in the NFL and tackles he limits him but no gain on the play Ray's a tackling machine in the middle of that defense it started every game as a rookie and she said it leads a team of tackles at a career-high 21 stops last week against the Giants effectively it's all willkie's the National Football League and math substitutions now defensively for New Orleans but clusters in the Mariota the girls a man that they can't get lined up the quarterback takes it pan here at all and he goes rough first down on a slide of five to the 14 yard line of New Orleans move the chains well they're really gonna fool that the defensive end I mean we talked about plays that looked the same they're different remember they threw that that pass off this very same action a couple plays ago now they fake it to the back and Marcus keeps it out the backdoor this is his rich first real true road game in an NFL situation in a dome and he's really done a terrific job given you consider they're going to be quite caller neither can't to get to play in and how he is handled the crowd noise has been very impressive eighth play of the drive nice defensive work by Stephan Anthony Gaeta tuned out of the twelve look at that look at them the push take it upfront sow offensive lion has really played well you know how hard they've worked with all the chases and then they've made through a nice job getting off the ball and getting up on the second level you know the starting center today Galit he is a rookie now a fifth-year player with a lot of starts when he played four years at Carolina muwah as a second year player this last year a lot of it with an injury this last 16 second down and eight [Applause] we can attach the better Rebecca may have gotten tangled there was a lot of congestion in there and they have been going for the rookie out of Oklahoma incomplete third and eight coming up now for Mariota a lot of traffic in there this is where he's going to have to make his money third Nate I think one of the toughest challenges for a rookie quarterback kennedys is the complexities of defense knowing the college you see just a handful of different fronts and coverages very vanilla but the NFL especially on third down you get the whole kitchen sink especially with the defensive coordinator like Rob Vaughn [Applause] watch the Walker he's got a cup of food down here substance today by the other that's the other TANF Craig Stevens who is belted on the play Kenny Vaccaro limits up to a gate of the yard just outside the tent and so the Titans will try for free well Kenny for Carl's been a really nice job as a safety and he's a terrific tackler he's a Miss Olivia he is and he is more comfortable down around the line of scrimmage where there's action so the Tennessee Titans getting a 14 yard at a 20 yard completion to Green Beckham all the thing is they're going through a new coach six straight losses quarterback is back to rookie but they're still in it 29-yard field don't fly here by Sukup he got from 51 he drills one right there from 29 we have a one point game in New Orleans halfway through the third on CBS voodoo Museum here in New Orleans wants to see us to be right they let some kind of lucky chicken foot there for Mariota today never miss a moment of football action with the cbs4 champ every play and score every game in every highlight right as they happen download the CBS 4 sets it EA Sports calm / mobile Kevin Harlan Rich Gannon and our terrific cbs2 effect are directing day for Baton Rouge plug grants who is known in these parts she does the Saints preseason has a directories with us today one-point game third quarter from New Orleans one of those drives you see right there was a nail down at halftime but otherwise I mean look at its it's been a tightening to the screws defensively for the Titans defensively not a lot of individual stars on that defense but some unit they fit and play well together within the scheme first intent well it's the taiga here he's forced out of a skylight dr. Wesley Woodyard Hill caught a touchdown pass earlier in the game runs right there for the catch for 11 as a first down to the 31 look at their struggles the Saints think they've had some poor field position the last four drive their own ate their own 13 last two at the 20 yard line tough to go 80 yards of this business against a good defense like the Titans it changed the play at the line of scrimmage run good pass go outside Steve is there but Russell down quickly on the play by Damien Stanford it is a gain of 7 on the play after the 38 so many of their plays give as you point out you hear the kill kill from Drew's so the plate call will come in at the beach a bunch of tags to it in other words they could call a strong side run and carry cool weeks that run they could call a strong side run and kill it to it so drew has a lot of flexibility and freedom at the line of scrimmage because it is visit experience in this system second three right there by Indra works his way for a first down it was tackled at the secondary by Cissy Weber former Buffalo Bill it is a gain of 4 to the 42 I just I think Sean Payton may be the best play caller in the game right now this is a terrific job game planning each week putting players in a position to be successful and it starts with a quarterback and it helps that they have such a long history together really know what each other's thinking first and 10 here comes David Ayer goes deep downfield clipping knocks Brandon Coleman out of bounds he caught the ball at the 30 yard line picks up 28 for the Saints first down and just this is a great example of the arm strength of a quarterback like Drew Brees Kim this is a hard throw you've got Klug chasing you down the field he just whips this thing up and down and he's got to get it over at sensabaugh and in between the corner and the safety Griffin takes a poor angle where's Tim Tim look wait up sit outside there's Benjamin Watson tackled by Brown and at the 21 9 yard game was in bounds when he caught this and they didn't give him a chance they jumped the ball so quickly the net but never gave the Tennessee coaching staff a chance to review that upstairs he just said raises smartville he got that team huddled it doesn't waste any time it's a sense of urgency with this offense I've been down at all [Music] with your dental decide brought up down it's up to gets the first down you like but breeze does it practice it before games and it goes through its rotation even though he's just practicing yeah Kevin I saw him do something in practice on Friday which I don't think I've ever seen another quarterback do he's actually he'll throw the ball and then he'll go back and look at where the second and third receiver the progression is so he's even he's always taking mental reps each play in practice it's amazing to watch this guy work on a Friday [Applause] first of ten again please hit the truck town on the play by Woodyard Wesley Woodyard the former Denver Bronco second sack loss of 11 back to the 30 let me get him with the middle dog cross you're gonna see the internal pressure and do it good job initially engrams gonna step up and block Woodyard but not long enough he does a good job disengaging and getting the sack on Drew Brees went into last year led Tennessee in tackles the second season trip the tightness second down 21 now for greens going deep intercepted and picked up on the play by Stepford Omega PW Webb bwa who has just signed off the practice squad makes the pit a former cowboy for bran reception our rookie makes the grab right there [Music] rainy day in New Orleans with NFL mobile streaming live local Sunday afternoon prime time games and NFL red zone right on your mobile device board nfl.com / mobile BW web he called up off the practice squad last night a former fourth round pick by the Cowboys he's played at Pittsburgh he was released signed in and he is playing because parish Cox is injured 32 zansheng first attack victim accustomed low they go sucked in by Green Beckham incomplete at the turf second down and Jen parish Cox who invest some time that the last couple games with a hamstring issue was struggling and out and so BW Webb took his place though already without Jason McCourty without bleeding ray Wilson so they're down in numbers and he went right after him did they yes they did shut it down attack and who's tripped up not much gain up to to the 22 Moses the decision that I'm sure to abbrevs would like to have back can't really to deep coverage he's actually throwing this to it or running back Mark Ingram he never really feels the safety nor does he feel web continue to run with the receiver poor decision by Drew Brees especially in that part of the field third down eight well into the pusher here they come Mariota overshoots Walker with the coverage on the play by Brandon browner and Tennessee who just picked off Brees real punt you got a beat man-to-man coverage the Saints are gonna play high percentage of man-to-man especially on third down you see the the grab right there and he gets away with it there's our guy Brandon browner he's gonna grab Delaney Walter the official misses it at the line of scrimmage Murphy is back Brett current to punt but curves the all-time leading Titan gross and net cutter merci thought the 30-yard line então the four seven eight tripped up front down out the play Lego brick we got it pickups breeze to just do a pic timeout New Orleans on Tuesdays st. players took time out of their game preparation schedule of joint cadets from the New Orleans military Maritime Academy hit playing video games against troops currently deployed overseas those were heroes right there folks yet the pros vs. GI Joes dreams first at ten after the three and a five Tennessee sense of awe is there Jack Brown with the tech old gain attempt first out 48 yard line the play action has been good for the Saints on first down and a lot of times found the running backs play-action kind of takes some of the heat off of that pass rush especially on the early downs got a call to Keenan mines and just outside the 47 suck it down Atwater that's good we was what's owed by Cody Riggs getify first down to the 49 his James here's boomer with the Raiders and the Steelers the young hot Raiders they are how about Derek Carr he's gonna throw a 36 yard completion to Seth Roberts down to the one-yard line gonna lead to a one-yard touchdown pass to Clyde wolfburg this game is all tied up back and forth they go in Pittsburgh Kevin and rich what a great game there yes I got Jack Del Rio given a lot of credit he's really changed the culture of the environment and Oakland in a short period of time for $10 right there right there a group of waiting Titans on a Dean of a yard on the play at the run by Ingram who's been very important for coach Sean Payton Ingram is 10th in rushing yards coming in at Rich he's number four in the NFL and total yards from scrimmage so far and you move them all over the place you see him right now at the top of the screen OOP somebody good once it is quickly across the line false start offense number 72 five-yard penalty still second now we're gonna get two guys really get two for the price of one you get the left tackle and Watts and they're gonna jump together mistakes in critical situation and a Larry uncharacteristic for the Saints you want those players looking at your mouth the mantle whether you're a home team with the Lance is a little in communication so important doubt 14 watch it on the 43 there's another Hank there's another Hank the tackle was made by Brown Jack Brown heating up 10 of the plague of the 43 of Tennessee they just talked about this little hanker out right over the ball Kevin and watch how it just clears out they titans playing some zone coverage and Watson does a nice job cook it up break even in front of that linebacker this Watson among tight ends rich number four in tight end receptions number five entitled receiving yards third Affairs guy here face down the sisyphic in the stop that was grabbed by Marcus Colston it was a second catch of the day it's a gain of eight the first out as a third quarter concludes but inside the fourth quarter both quarterbacks have been stars today let's start with Brees 21 of 27 314 a touchdown make it two touchdowns in a pick at Marcus Mariota the rookie out of Oregon State who now is 13 to 22 they can Oregon to 11 two touchdowns and no interceptions he's got a history of taking care of the football after an Oregon fully two touchdowns and just four interceptions Kelly enjoyed a basic tenet Pacifica poking moves of it will bring him four yards on the play and he's down to the 31 yard line of Tennessee they've got five players rich on this New Orleans office with more than twenty five receptions each should be the one thing about Brees you know he spread it out to at seven different guys I think he mentioned earlier on today today it doesn't discriminate eight right now and he's gonna throw to the gannets hope Oh get down intent that there was great pressure put on up to by Derek Morgan hold on I'll anyway he's got a lot of vowels in his name breeze has got to get it up and down quickly not an easy catch but one you think he could make the 36 most of their third downs have been third and six plus [Applause] 10,000 his name district a Vietnam third down a six breeze nice touch big first down grab it slips get the coverage on the play by BW Webb who picked off brings in the end zone sit chug pickup on 36 in a first down the Brisas makes it look so easy Kevin we talked about his accuracies got the highest career completion percentage of all time 66.3% over 70% twice in his career in 2009 and 2011 great anticipation the ball comes out quick and he's dead lay off grid get multiple Titans drew the back is falling down receiver Willie speed coverage including Cody rigs and complete they get parish Cox is out he is reacted the hamstring this is an impressive graphic to me when you look at Drew Brees in Nets in NFL history and there's some really good quarterbacks there look at Aaron Rodgers Peyton Manning on that list Chad Pennington didn't have the strong arm Kevin but he was very accurate suck it down tenth play of the drive please this knucklehead drag grab by Griffith down to the eleventh 14-yard pickup in a first down bottom of the pile to is Susi this is really a nice child you're gonna see Ingram he's just gonna slip out there trying to throw the ball down the field it all go special all the scenes it's not there drew pumps checks it down to the the back Ingram ease makes the linebacker miss I mean this is just it's just good football by the Saints ray heart is done nice job dealing up some interesting past coverage for that defensive Tazi yeah you got to continue to change it up against a quarterback like Drew Brees [Applause] event dust played it well nice defensive work there Iraq poet company loss of two on the play back to the 13th the Quan Jones is really playing well up front is music watching that number nine teachers he spent a lot of time in the Saints backfield getting good push and good penetration is getting good especially in the running game it's no pushover offensive line either for the sentence no they've done a nice job you know that the Titans are doing a really good job rotate in that group to keep them fresh up five-second $12 goes down there goes a flag man the play is the Sacre state by bass who is waved by Chicago after playing a couple years with the beer I refuse another Rock who's gonna get Thomas we don't like to call we better be careful well he doesn't like the call you're gonna see it does hit him look the crown on the helmet but but when a quarterback clutches rich I mean you can't redirect your head and not a lot you can do but you can't the face right that's a good call by the official is it is you've got to be able to keep your cool I thought maybe breeze it no he did not and that was a and you get out right out there and you got to know who you're hunting I mean Drew Brees is not 6:50 roughing the passer [Applause] a sadistic to the goal after the play was over unsportsmanlike conduct defense number 98 half the distance to the goal [Applause] okay like Congo woman alleyway and acquisition to the goal [Applause] first time he's gone up to the line Judge Jeff seaman good buddy of mine from Minnesota well that last name rings a bell it has dead cheering Jerry was the terrific referee and we miss him well that is the third roughing the passer penalty on the Tennessee defense today [Music] it is an emotional game it is a passionate game even for a veteran like Iraq bro who's been leaked seven years and then heavily decorated big penalties there you can have two of them because he actually went after the official in the second one you get to hit on the quarterback and then you get Iraq Pro losing his cool in the heat of the battle but he was not ejected and there's a good chance at that a bit first along that bicycle device penetrated Rubright Judith Morgan he is the number one pick six years ago out of Georgia Tech they get no gain on the play the Saints offense Morgan comes through and trips him up 91 was Tennessee defense they they play hard kid I've been impressed with them fifth in total defense nice job hang in there balance goal touchdown [Applause] breathes with his third touchdown pass today [Applause] you're going to see him right there he's actually lined up as a fullback Kent we talked about his position versatility let's run him out to the flat late Williamson not able to get there that is his first reception as a saint and seven tenses with Joe England an extra point five for back makes of 28:28 point New Orleans lead just into the fourth a roughing the passer penalty on fast as he got freeze and the Saints cashing in oh but now what do we he's got four hundred and fourteen career touchdown passes including three today just seems like every game he breaks another either New Orleans record or a league record guys is so consistent week in and week out three touchdown passes give me the fit me see those McCluster from five yards deep we'll bring it out not the way to grant moves will reserve wide reciever forces about a play 32 yard return coming up next 8 man returns to Indianapolis with his punt defeated Denver Broncos I'll take on Andrew Luck in a very turbulent Colts team right here on CBS Sports by the way banning only to it at 84 yards away from passing Brett Favre to the post all time I vote of a force it back in Mississippi watching us today there was a flag thrown on the play on that return looks to be against the sentence I was over personal foul unnecessary roughness defense number 56 will file eight headbutt 15-yard penalty automatic first time that is the 9th special teams penalty against the Saints they had eight all of last season yeah can't go in answer pushing guys around like about it in there the hit but that's no it gets you every time if it gonna bail keep your poise in a critical situation so look there they begin the 43 really till one score game first attack pick two entries and he stays nice either Harry Douglas found the Steve down to the 43 and to pick up a 15 yards on the play good fine for Mariota to Harry Douglas this is this may be the most difficult throw in football watch him he's turkeys gonna turn his eyes to the defense with the play-action fake and now he's got to get this ball up and down right behind the linebacker and in between the corner and the safety it's a really sharp play by Marcus Mariota Jairus Byrd made the tackle first in town [Applause] when truths and a congestion looked like maybe Kevin Williams got a handful of Jersey one yard lost back to the 44 Williams longtime player 13 years in the lead a lot with the Vikings last year with Seattle 35 years of age he's in there are early downs to stop the run and still get it done so camp second auto clustering [Music] for defense with us it's Douglass weird tonight manifest out bird was there two feet up in Forsyth but Harry Douglas will pick up 12 after just caught one 4:15 well this is their answer to pressure man just kicked the ball out wide the Harry Douglas and let him go to work against the secondary this is 10 or 12 yards of of grass before the nearest Saints defender is here to knock him out of bounds coordinator Rob Ryan never met a defense doesn't like and I think in talking to Sean paid on Fridays hey look he said sometimes we have too much in terms you have to have that intervention with grab Ryan to scale up a little bit for our defense pick up a touch again 42 run for so explosive job [Applause] descent the billion shot right through with the nice stomp little walk through the yard back to the 33 and this just comes with an experience and don't want you to look at this look at all 11 defenders Oh where's the safety no one's in another field so what does he do he runs the football into a an 11 man front where the safeties aren't even accounted for so as he gets further along and his development he'll be able to change the play and take a shot in a situation like that [Applause] with a second down 11 Walker hit by bird down to the 28 being a 5 so for a young quarterback what's more difficult getting the long plays and understanding all the complexities of play caller or read the defensive and absorbing all that information to belong I think they're equally different difficult than talk to the Mike Mularkey said the challenge for Marcus has really been the play cause there's a lot of terminology a lot of booklets and he didn't have in college and you see right there McNulty calling the plays in for him give I give Jason Michael the offensive coordinator a lot of critic in the place has been coming in fast and furious if had no problem with the play prior good point although he didn't have to go to the sideline to get the call right there may be some communication issues 36 Mariota across the better here comes Douglas clamp by Hawthorne front behind to the 19 yard line a kitchen run up nine and a flag at the 39 Douglas has hit catches of 15 at 12 yards on this drive after the play personal foul roughing the pass defense on the twinning they've hit on the quarter point diction half the distance to the goal first time all about them it's actually gonna be Kyle Wilson I don't Wilson's coming off the slot and then see him right there oh yeah they said 20 it was 24 you're right rich gotta be smart get these two these quarterbacks nowadays count wish I was still playing you can't even get near him I mean he can't get near him he have you hit these guys and it's even close you know the Flags coming out I can throw it for 5,000 yards today he just sit back then hold the football about to pull up the nine Marcus Mariota and Cruz and they gonna stop chop chickens out of George it's a one-yard gain is down to the eight have you even the fear the play caller now you're constantly reminding a young quarterback about the situation of the game hey we're down by eight now if we score here let's not get too excited we got to go 4-2 in this situation you've got to constantly remind the quarterback and then the quarterback has to relay that information to the other ten men in the huddle couple tight engine a third he's at the backfield as a fill that Josiah who leads down to the full title shot both the eight [Applause] barrio de he's get the touchdown what a grab on the play Justin Hunter and eight guards 20 marcus mariota instead his third touchdown pass today and the Titans are back in business they're going for two obviously just watch this slam let's see hunter up there look at look at the safety not even a fact and a really nice throw by Markus Mario get it getting it up and down I love those big receivers Devon guys it has six foot four two hundred pounds that can use their body in tight spaces his first touchdown reception of the season now the chance to tie you got the ball in the left hash so you see that sometimes you think maybe a quarterback roll to the right because they put the ball in the left hash maybe you give the quarterback a little bit more room on the boundary [Applause] Ariana Walker they kept the two they get the time Walker with a great catch with a lot of traffic around him and 28 of peace were tied and 706 to go Mariota with an 80 yard touchdown strike to the angular just another and then delay Walker a big player all day comes up big again Heisman winner Marcus Mariota 18 to 27 260 yards three touchdowns in toe picks to Lee with the great drew Brees 24 32 335 with three touchdowns in a pit and brief sense to get his offense back out there a two-point conversion rich we are tied at 28 the rookies actually holding his own Kevin against Drew Brees that's been pretty impressive Marcus Mariota here in the second half the kickoff from snuck up if you'll wave it away a touch back to the 20-yard line that's where Brees will begin it all three timeouts is off as war than his team is tied Thursday night football puts the Buffalo Bills with coach Rex Ryan against Brian toal team Darrelle Revis of the New York Jets it's only on NFL Network Thursday 8 o'clock Eastern Time all right all fingers right now pointing it breathe this crowd is stunned what we do I am punching this mr. Ted looking deep at the pressure is there he's had NASA throw it away Iraq poets on one side date want Jones a yuccas talked about rich was on the other second down and ten well do a great job just getting pressure really on both sides really squeezing drew brees he's going to step up into the pocket now he knows he has to get he gets flushed just kicks it out voids a sack we talked about this to turn the break Kevin the pressure that's put on this New Orleans offense I mean in order to win you've got to score 30 points or more every week because that's what your defense is giving up twenty nine point three points a game sandy please pick up run here comes Jones and there goes football al woods was the first waves take one challenge the second flag at the 30 it's against Tennessee that is that is that is so bad believe that [Applause] there are two fouls on the play both against the defense holding defense number 59502 t automatic first down after the play was over unsportsmanlike conduct defense number 59 50 first I'll run thin at the top of the list of malarkey up Monday is you've got to control these emotions of your players because Iraq Bo now Wesley Woodyard spent call yeah now I want you to watch you see the penalty now keep an eye on this guy right in the middle that's Wesley woody he's going to go up and start John with the official and I mean you just can't do it it's a second one now we've got a rack with rack prohet one and now another one eight penalties and seven on the defects in a first attempt within geography the look at Bishop blocking cuts the corner and another flag is thrown at the 46 as Mark Ingram was taking it and game six on the play to the 45 it's getting chippy now it is holding offense number 10 it's in your penalty still first time you see her Brandon cooks right here I mean just can't miss it go out there and you just grab you see grab grabbing Cody sent some I can't get off the block so the toilet Saints with a chance to go to 500 with the win three straight links coming in four up and four down the record first at 20 flipz would reduce parents down and again the three is what he limits him to there at the 33 ride stay tuned for the NFL today update presented by fan duel time permitting JV and company for scores news and highlights on a busy day in the NFL halfway point of the season things are beginning to get tight this is where the good teams begin to separate themselves right back you know it all set [Applause] 7:16 maybe the 50-yard line through afraid [Applause] please come down he goes it was flexing the rookie out of harbor and a third sink and a wash on the play a pine back to the 25 rate the middle your screen and blacks entities fighting through right by M ensues a multiple trouble yeah Avery Williamson is there as well really nice job at that front has been a terrific job force and Drew Brees off the spy third at 25 and again that 1850 please underneath they've got stealing an offender that drill while they're going on the plane he was hit by a couple Griffon along with Williamson gain of 15 to the forty hunting and it will take the field breeze could not move the offense the penalty was a killer it sure was one cooks now you got to rely on your defense Kevin a defense that's really struggled late games Thomas Moore stead will putt Buster's teach at the eleventh fair caught for six hangtime 49-yard punt marcus mariota tied at 20 off the road four and a half to go grim New Orleans where Marcus Mariota who is missed the last couple games at the knee injury has thrown three touchdown passes he's got the game tied he's got the ball is 11th they need about 55 yards to a field all first in town [Applause] time to spay tickets off the pasado breaks the tackle on the play and it goes up the sideline to catch it run to about the 34 yard line fasano a flag is down at the 27 it's a 22 yard gain as it stands right now holding defense number 39 that pill did the climb result in a play first on which your concern is this New Orleans defense here and while they tear down as you were just talking about yeah no really they've struggled in the second half of games and I'm not sure if if they were down to what but they've given up an NFL high 152 points in the second half they need a stop here and Brandon Brandon browner needs to stop grabbing his 16th Bailey already this season and the one thing I'll have you talked about earlier first attempt for Tennessee three timeouts and it uses one right there will step aside to tied at 28 you just look at these numbers in the NFC South the importance of this game for the Saint to try and keep pace with Carolina it's still undefeated [Applause] well great throw by marcus mariota 20 yard pickup Wow Green has Rebekah has really come in handy today I just love the size of these receivers Kevin heavy you've got big tall linear receivers that can go get the football dorial green-beckham six-foot-five 237 pounds they've been very effective running those slant routes fired over 300 yards today first and ten for the 46 and crews reflect on the edge gets inside the 45 and picks up two on the play they've gone to him a lot 16 carries in 70 yards let's go to New York with boomer and James Ben Roethlisberger called himself outlast he did and he throws a touchdown pass here to somebody not named Heath Miller as the tight end it's Jesse James how about 2t knees in the last 49 seconds for the Steelers they take a 35:21 lead over the Oakland Raider 1124 left in regulation and back to Kevin and rich and this is without the terrific running back he's now lost for the season with an ACL Le'Veon Bell and an MCL and out til next September they say well no lady I'm Belle no worries DeAngelo Williams Kevin he did it all a nice job step in the last time with the suspension to lady on bel-air on the season swapna's drives the sanno 420 to bring becca buckets 420 syncs up two timeouts Tassie the two timeouts suck up who is not this since last year is getting ready and if here the Titans we should be thinking at all about a field goal win this game by going the distance of scoring seven suck it down a tip now the Ricochet may be for us third time today it was Walker he is amazing the concentration he only picks up a yard but the third time he's kind of deflected ball that's got to be a record throw this one a Stephon Anthony he's gonna he's gonna jump up and for some reason Delaney Walker's been in the right place at the right time for Marcus Mariota how about the reshuffled wine continued to fight time for the quarterback and could keep continuing to keep him clean in the pocket Titans of loss six consecutive games coming in with the new quotes it fired the other one another [Applause] as a penalty flag it is thrown on browner as they were going for Walker most heavily penalized player in the NFL well that's how you have to go after Kevin I think at times Brandon browner panics it doesn't do a good job locating the ball defense automatic first night I think part of it is he has a reputation with the official rabbit right there you can't tell me can't grab if you can't cover to Annie Walker you got to get somebody else out there but if you grab they're going to call it every time Elia started to laugh two Super Bowls for Seattle in New England and that was coming in to today he's been penalized twice today first at 10:00 but mr. Zinn and Isis lay down to about the 30-yard line direct our mouth in there by Kevin Williams timeout taken your LaChance one remaining at the 30-yard line second down a day after the New Orleans timeout suck-up is ready biota patooties campus leaves we tight ends on the field they like these heavy jumbo sets with these tight ends remember now Mike Mularkey as a former tie-down Andrews in the backfield Andrews the call he got was a flag thrown he gobbles up about four more down to the 26 well that's a killer holding offense number 89 to you our penalty replay second down [Music] well take some out of field goal range you're gonna see super and all right there on the enemy just it gets beat inside and then he tries to grab yep tackle them and just can't do that in that part of the field now to understand the situation in the game now you got yourself back up you got a second nineteen with a rookie quarterback they walked off only 11 yards by mistake so it's at the 41 points second 19 but clustered and he got tripped up by williams on a gain of three another time out by the Saints good use of timeouts by Sean Payton he's trying to get that ball back knowing that Tennessee has a very difficult third and 16 and you see the communication between Sean Payton and Rob Ryan they're all the sidelines in terms of what to do in this situation the career-long for kicker ryan sukkah is 54 yards he has not missed a field goal this year [Applause] let's get to today we just think to pick up a little bit Marcus has got to be smart in this situation you cannot take a sack you got to find me a completion here on third and 16 [Applause] it's the tester good technique by Richardson or a very conservative call in that situation it was a gain of two and they'll spot it at the 36 and suck up comes out onto the field we're just going to let this thing run down the two-minute warning but a very conservative call given in that situation maybe they were anticipating some type of pressure and thought maybe they could split one way up the middle with the back we've reached the two-minute warning all right here comes Ryan snuck up to try to get Tennessee the Lee 255 yarder it would be a career long in 2012 along with Kansas City suck up kick six field goals here in the Superdome against the Saints including the game-winner in overtime he has made 15 consecutive field goals going back to last year he's kicked two today if he hits this it would give his team the lead and be a career law 55 cutter [Applause] it is hit the crossbar and the problem with that is you get three Breeze in the Saints the ball at the 45 yard line with just under two minutes to go it was accurate and just that close Boyd needed about another six inches now the problem is as you just said Brees has it at his own 45 yard line he's got no timeout timeout it's not a problem for Drew Brees money--i ways to stop the clock [Applause] just watch the sense of urgency this offensive line watch how quickly they get to the ball after completion there's air they'll take a class for that tick that gave 150 other lawsuit against the Titans brings first a check [Applause] nested openly super Willie Sneed it complete at the 40 well that's a surprise kept me very rarely do you see true breeze miss a troll like this it's a nice job resetting he just throws it behind a wide-open Willie Steve Reeves had the seven touchdown passes last week he's got three touchdown passes today 352 yards through the air but in his veins this situation before is that graphic tells you [Applause] second down the track if it is short no going to speed he's got that abounds by BW anthem down to the Tennessee 33 in a pickup of 22 in a first down speed six catches 95 yards but I just see up the top of your screen and Drew Brees does such a great job with the pump fake they said that the corner doesn't bite on it yet breezes savvy enough to throw it on the back shoulder of Willie steam Tennessee with a couple timeouts like you've said Goyal it's out of timeouts first to tell you here they come freeze goes down he was in on the play by Iraq Poe with his second shot today in the fourth set for the defense today here in New Orleans it's a loss of a throwback to the 41 it's amazing candidate don't even block Brian Iraq ball the last play will shortly in a minute but it's amazing must have had a communication breakdown up front bowtie box with all one's shutting down 18 I stepped back at the left temple look at the clips over shoots him in complete the coverage by sensible it coming over was searching third and 18 little Eagle block Brian or a claw this is amazing that the left tackle steps down the back steps down and they turn the Titans best pass rusher loose on Drew Brees you can't make these type of the states in a critical situation literally need about nine or ten yards here to get in for Beth Zealand old territory for bath again like we mentioned kick the game-winning 50-yarder last week against Eli Manning and the Giants they just signed up a couple weeks ago 13:18 tonight he's down to 28 shy of the first down but deeper into territory with a 13 watt pickup right there but this little crossing route you see the Blitz come from the Titans it's a long way to go from Webb on the backside and this coast is not an easy guy to get down on the ground I'm gonna see four baths I'm fourth down it's a 46-yard try that 50-yarder was last week for matthews played for Dallas Washington now the Saints I wouldn't use the timeout dice in this situation I'm gonna say if the timeouts get in case he does make it so I have some time they're like I'm gonna ferment to go 46 your honor for the lead and it is no good I don't know it's only got a piece of that or not but perhaps they did it looked as if it had been deflected at the line and he misses just keep an eye on first of all you got a low snap you've got a new holder as you point out and Kobe Stenson ball comes screaming off the edge I think he may have gotten a piece that I can't he may have to rich but look at the ball and that's not even close well we mentioned before the thomas moore stead is holding he's the putter but normal holder is the backup quarterback Luke McCown but he's out with the back injury now with two timeouts left just under a minute Tennessee's got plenty of time each team to centerfielder to take a lead to timeouts first intent Marcus Mariota who sends a bullet downfield in it complete to Justin Hunter shutting it down attempt that's been a crazy game back and forth both kickers missing makeable kicks so we have a Tennessee team that fired their coach pin week and enter up coaching Mike Mularkey they've lost six consecutive games there welcome back their rookie quarterback who exists the last two at the knee injury and ironically enough that one at six they're still close to the first place in their division but the sinks are at 4-4 in their second down and 10 it's hunter on the throw by ball you know the tackle made by pregnant brownies it is a game of five and the game to the 41 yard line and they're not going to take the timeout it really got a hustle here I [Applause] think it's a mistake not to take the timeout Kevin you waste so much time trying to get lined up there's other ways to stop for the clock low down inside look how much time to waste [Applause] [Music] in completion they were looking for green-beckham Delanie Walker who is caught three deflected passes today almost hit his fourth right here and a better throw gets it done I mean he's got him he's got the corner with his back to the receiver just got to pull a little bit more air on it and let dorial green-beckham go get it he has to come back for that one route let's see the punting unit is out there kinda like last week they had very little time against the child who made it dunk without the last night no and get a punter that gets a face mask all and the Saints got a chance to kick a field goal to end the game turn to punt Murphy is back your head 18 yard line in Java for six in a 40 I plot and the rookie Murphy says it and fries has 11 seconds and no timeouts with which to work for a team that came off that incredibly exciting win of 52 49 over the Giants last week when breezed through seven touchdown passes and became the oldest quarterback in pro football history to throw for over 500 yards at the age of 36 soon to be 37 I think you take a knee here Kevin you play for overtime you got no timeouts left very surprised that to Brees throws this ball down the field yep just going to take a knee which means overtime well the Saints looking for a win with the chance to go over 500 for the first time this season this is the end of the regulation will now commit overtime they've won three consecutive games coming in they began the season Sean Payton and his Saints did Owen three and then one in four the question wasn't how they would handle adversity because they've handled it well to get back to 500 how would they handle success having won three consecutive games and over a team that playing today that comes in one in six maybe the big question for the Saints given is how can they stop anybody than the defense is it's that the numbers aren't good and you know I thought today against a Tennessee offense that really struggled moving the ball in the last month you know they had a difficult time and yet Marcus Mariota has been sharp 22 of 33 309 yards and three touchdowns they have over almost 100 just under 100 yards rushing already in this game and they put up 28 points on the Saints [Music] Jerome vulgar for our new audiences our referee here in New Orleans this afternoon he associated Super Bowl xlvii right here that blackout Super Bowl at the Dome there he goes alright captain but over the time we're gonna play one 15-minute overtime period fourth quarter timing rules will be in effect each team we have an opportunity to possessed of all unless the team that goes on our fans first scores a touchdown or the team that goes on defense interception and run for a touchdown okay each team will have two safeties all repayed challenges will come from the replay assistants all right Tennessee by being the visit team gets called the coin toss again salute the service he on his hands and the NFL shield is tails Tennessee has chosen tails in his tail want the ball to see has one overhead top overhead over times how the world free we head to overtime after this on CBS well we just heard these overtime rules by Jerome vulgar the 15-minute ot at touchdown or his safety is rich said accurately on the first possession wins the game and the scores tied after each team's first possession next score wins it couple timeouts per team no coaching challenges the flip of the coin that was won by Tennessee they will get it and rookie Heisman Trophy winner out of Oregon Marcus Mariota 22 a 33 309 three touchdowns and no picks after he's missed the last couple games with that MCL sprain on the late hit by Olivier Vernon of Miami a couple weeks ago where he showed great poise and composure Kevin throughout the course of this game but really impressed with the job that Marcus Mariota has done [Music] [Applause] with the kickoff sent out five four baths they just look how effective he has been gets a little bit of a break here early in the game of course Delanie Walker right there for the 61 yard score a little easy look in the back of the end zone hits Justin hunter for the touchdown the two-point play the Delanie Walker Delanie Walker kitten has been his guy in critical situations six catches 92 yards of the two touchdowns and a 2 point test which which tied this game at 28 nearly goes from the 21st at 10 and Jews in the backfield they go to Green Beckham and he put screws his way to the 34 14-yard pickup in a first down for the rookie out of Oklahoma why is this gonna post up in between the linebacker in the corner again we talked about size size matters at that position but dorial green-beckham had seven catches coming into today now has four alone the second hair Louisiana for 68 yards they stake of the place that Kendall Wright has done a nice job first of ten that mr. Kosan Andrews the call we got a drop to Walker he breaks a tackle on that run by John Dunbar and science another first down this is a 15 yard gain on the ground for Andrews who's got 87 on the ground today for the tight yeah look at the movement they get up front that left side of that offensive line I mean again have you been talking about Antonio Andrews he has really run with some power he's finished everything everyone that he has had and look at the sidelines you look at the sidelines with Tennessee Titans everybody standing up everybody to do this game the song Ron Wyatt moments ago is defense polygroup a cut that number 38 Tennessee is trying to take advantage of that goes to 10 Andrews one back this point not much game right then we should mention two for those just joining us that the offensive line for interim head coach Mike Bielecki has been reworks reshuffled for today then they have been given up a single sack Warmack has done a nice job at the right guard valve will go in from the left guard you get the rookie gallic in there of course Looney Terrell low on he's done a nice job the left tackle position after giving up a couple sacks last week against the Houston Texans they have really done a terrific job but not just in terms of the pass protection but the running game as well since there were 43 Sukup along [Applause] [Music] Mariana so that's it and that's the tied into gets up that's Paige Stephen goes downfield taking it to the 25 of New Orleans a catch a fall run 24 yards from Stephens only is 6 catch of the year well just look at the look look at Joe Joe lot Dunbar he's gonna drop out you see the tight ends gonna hook up over the ball not freeze right there watch this look at the location on that throw the left shoulder of the tight end away from the driving linebacker great anticipation great location by Marcus Mariota the number dawa touchdown his first in ten from the 25 [Music] to tie down they look like bang crews into the guts of that defense into the 24 and again to be yard and from the secondary K Vacarro comes in and makes the stop for just crowding the line of scrimmage I mean it's eight-man front football Saints just daring the Tennessee Titans have throw the ball down the field and keeping it out of the hands of reasons that might be the most important thing of all huh I am NOT a long thinking about a field goal in this situation you just know you don't want to give to a breeze another opportunity get in this game you want to finish them right here [Applause] victim a question he goes across the way and he's got Douglas on the far sideline to the sixteen a yard shy of the first he picks up eight so on this drive Green Beckham for 14 Stephens for 24 Andrews with a run of 15 yards and an eight-yard throw right there to the former Falcon Harry Douglas Marcus Mariota has made a couple really nice throws move it to his left a difficult role for a right-handed quarterback serves a long one [Applause] pick up first down now goal to go the tackle made by bird on third and along one he picks up nine pinpoint throw by Mariota first down well look at this slant route he gets brown or turned around sideways never even sees the thrall and well that slant route has been a been a real blessing for this for the Titans and it's a route that Marcus Mariota throws it very very well he got drilled free Beckham is over there first it go at the eight Andrews at the backfield multiple tie downs [Applause] Mariota chased by torque gets it off the rocker the fall at the five sonnet king the dream and the techo of a play they let Yolanda Bob with a nice job Kevin moving the pocket a little bit with marcus mariota psalm run to the left will make it bootleg to the right change in the launch point making it difficult for the Saints front 7 how about on this drive the rookie on a board in the Heisman winner Mariota by the five on the drive that began back at their 22nd gold the file [Applause] he's at the time he's got the receiver to solder touchdown Titans win [Applause] under internet coach Mike Milwaukee Marcus Mariota with another touchdown pass his fourth today and a five yarder to the tight end Fasano wins it [Applause] a terrific game with one spectacular play turned in after another are you gonna see Fasano he's right here you're gonna see everyone else though Kevin everybody's gonna be moving this way to the right and he says gonna sneak out and he gets lost in the wash this is a design play it's a throwback to the tight end the Saints never saw it coming it's a play it's a play that Mike Mularkey ran with the Vikings and with the Steelers as a player look at how emotional Mike Mularkey is after that win is very difficult goodness for the entire coaching staff of the Tennessee Titans tears in his eyes on the road in one of the most difficult venues in the NFL and a quarterback has been out the last couple games of a bad wheel and a tournament tight end with the game-winning 5-yard touchdown reception in overtime it's the tight stopping a six-game losing streak we're watching the NFL on CBS home of Super Bowl 50 now for FanDuel on CBS let's go to the or for
