It's a bad block, but nothing dirty or intentional. He was going for the hip. That sucks for Tuttle, sorry to hear.
From a friend who's a college ref: "It's not a dirty play, but it's an illegal block because it's below the waste and because the ball is outside of the 'low blocking area' as defined by the rules which is seven yards on either side of the spot of the ball when snapped."
Well he didnt block him to injure him. If that is what you are implying then you are just dumb like that. Feel bad for Tuttle, but thats part of playing football. If he was really trying to injure him he would of done it from the beginning
Couple of things:
1: Take your complaints about hurt knees back to the cesspool of a town you crawled out of.
2: Regarding the dumpster that is Kneeland Stadium, One of their grounds people came up to a friend of mine before game and apologized for the state of the turf. She said it just comes up when you grab it. Apparently there is such thing as a slope rating with lasers on fields to measure the crown and UGA's is a .25 Apparently UT's is 2.1. Thats what we like to call a significant increase in slope. Leading players to be standing with their feet on crooked ground all the time, thus all the knee injuries big men get (thus why you always have half your OL hurt). Disclaimer: not a fucking scientist
The block is legal, so while I don't like it, it isn't considered dirty. The bad part is when the guy gets his foot caught in the horrible Tenn turf and then the injury occurs. People get hit all the time, but what got him was how he landed. It seems like that field is just a really terrible field. We had a lot of injuries last year, Tenn guy this year and Chubb as well.
