Green Bay Packers won the toss they deferred so we will see Andy Dalton Cincinnati offense in the Green Bay defense 63 couldn't be any prettier sunny all day long for this early start in Zinzinnati Brandon taped waiting for the kickoff from Tim maste who's become a weapon doing this he's already got seven touch backs and he says that he aims for the guys and girls in the front row of the seats behind the goal posts handy hit him pretty close Cincinnati we'll start at the 20 they'll check in with the number 12 offense in the NFL tailoring tape come together and say hello happy Sunday to you here is Andy Dalton third year he's been in the playoffs each of the first two but he in this group have not been able to get over the hump well it's a Bengals team that comes into this season certainly with high expectations a lot riding on his shoulders this year a big win on Monday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers a team that really this organization has had not had a great deal of success against called the only one of the backfield some pressure on him and he takes often slides for a minimal gain of a yard he's got a lot of talent toy around him I know that's what caught your attention we're getting ready for this game they are good and they are young and they've got two outstanding tight ends they picked up the rookie Tyler Eifert first-round pick from Notre Dame and then you combine him with the other tight end cobalt player from last year Jermaine Gresham and that's the offensive set that they prefer to go with last year predominantly a three wide receiver offense this year when you draft the tight end with your first pick then you're going to play mostly the two tight end sets which they do that's the new emotion that's been Jarvis green Alice tonight's game against Pittsburgh and he's got a first down he's not the only one the rookie Giovanni Bernard also ran well caught it and ran well against Pittsburgh and we look at the Green Bay defense and some of the players to watch he always watched number 52 but the focus on the secondary inform on Williams played slot last week and he'll do it again this week against the Bengals well Dom Capers is having to use a lot of different combinations there in that secondary because of the injured players that are out again and Jarvis green Ellis out to the 35 a gain of four and then the question with that is and Green Bay defensively stopped an elite receiver they couldn't do it within Golden Week 1 they couldn't do it with Pierre Garcon last week and now they deal with AJ green at the top of your screen Big Boss and there's Brescia he makes the catch and he has a first down and it takes a gang to bring him down a game of 8-ball popped out play was dead first down fingers I think there's a little bit of an unknown as we go into this third game of the season as far as what the Packers are defensively you know we know what happened week one called in Kaepernick had such a big day throwing the football they shut down the 49ers rushing attack last week very good in the first half but still Alfred Morris for the Redskins ran the ball well so this is a defense that's giving up a lot of yards and how will they hold up against this really explosive receiving floor for the Bengals Dalton fires he's got to do and Simmons got the sideline inside the 30 knocked out of bounds near the 25 by MD Jennings in a big play for the Bengals of 32 yards well Mohamed Sanu I think runs an exceptional route on this play and just overall it real technician there on the outside and the timing between he and Andy Dalton is very very good in fact it is with all these receivers one of the things I was most impressed with leading up to this game Joe was just watching the timing of Andy Dalton getting the ball out on rhythm and these receivers being where they're supposed to be [Applause] nice okay on first down Ben Jarvis green Ellis over the right side t-time 1,000 yard back has to read Jones on the tackle second and eight you think back to that Monday night game Jay Gruden said that paid for the first time were playing the Pittsburgh Steelers without James Harrison we felt like we could block these guys up and so they came out in that first half threw the ball 32 times there in the opening thirty minutes of the game and never really got Andy Dalton you know in any type of rhythm on this possession it was important to open this game up for Bruton with some balance and they've been able to do that and Dalton has made some nice throws as well [Applause] to open up the gun tripped up brought down inside the 20 by Nick Perry again of for third down coming up in Jay Gruden when he said it said it a lot like John Group say it you don't have to even know the last names when one talks it sounds like the other guy now you start to wonder if it's some type of act don't you they keep it entertaining I mean those production guys they can they can get a little redundant but you know going back to when when John was the head coach at various stops he was always a lot of fun and Jay was Friday - I mean this guy better be a good route money cuz you can't run on third down Dalton said a penalty flag on the play and city was down to the five but a flag is down vandals indicate it's against Green Bay if it is its first and goal a 14 yard completion to sanu [Applause] holding defense [Applause] we're going to get a natural picking action here with Jermaine Gresham the tide in and then sinuhe's going to come underneath that so you see how that effects then the defense you've got to go over the top my cahide does he's got a bubble over the top of that receiver and it creates the space for some new there over the middle of the field Dalton started 303 54 yards [Applause] Barnard in the backfield he gets it he's got some pop and he takes it down near the - you really like this rookie running back out of Carolina pretty obvious the bangles do too when you get down to this part of the field and you're willing to put a rookie in you're not worried about him putting the ball on the ground they've used them in a variety of ways through the first two games of the season he'll split out he'll run the check downs he'll run the power toss as well as the inside game I just think he's an exceptional player that they have a tremendous amount of confidence in tenth play of this Drive when I got it to the three reader [Applause] we'll try the right side to the edge this was the two rookies you've got Giovanni Bernard and Tyler Eifert he's out there trying to put a blog on him and as you see Bernard gets airborne and he's able to cross the goal line then with the ball that's an excellent job by this offensive take any milk taking the opening possession and driving it down and coming away with a touchdown knowing that that Packers offense then is on the sidelines and just a heck of a start for the bangles 80-yard Drive took ten plays and over five and a half minutes off the clock Nugent 7/7 he's good between the tackles he is really good out on the edge and he can leap and he can reach and he can score Senate dumping Cincinnati on top team on Fox is sponsored by Southwest Airlines find their affairs online only at southwest.com Green Bay Packers will take the kickoff renard with a touchdown Green Bay has not been good in this category their average starting field position after a kick short at the 17 yard line which is last in the NFL they've got Jeremy Ross waiting for the kick some things to figure out for the Packers over on their sideline there's Ross who has yet to really make an impact returning kicks 7-nothing Cincinnati on top Muffit it's a live ball picked up by Cincinnati [Applause] and the early turnover sets up the bangles already up 7-nothing inside the five of the first and goal just kind of misjudged that the wind holds this ball up so initially he thinks he's going to be able to play it and then the balls coming up shorter than he originally thought and he has to go after this one and he's not able to time it he doesn't see it all the way into the catch and just a big mistake then on special teams setting the bangles up here inside the five-yard line see the Sun hitting the visor and he was I agree with you I think the wind helped that ball up he was late getting to it couldn't get on top of it Taylor maze comes away with a fumble recovery and Aaron Rodgers is still waiting to and Cincinnati is set up and Ross for a guy who struggled now making that mistake for a head coach that has such an emphasis on special teams I mean he is livid Ross is in some trouble on that sideline their best kick returner punt returner is Randall Cobb period but because of what he means to the offense are trying to find somebody else to do it we'll see if we see Ross the rest of the day [Applause] there's great Alice [Applause] and if you come into a game talking about fixing Green Bay needing to put up points a great opening drived and the turnover and now the touchdown from Ben Jarvis green Ellis well kevin Zeiler does a good job to get the double-team on the defensive tackle and just you know barrel the ball in there to get the touchdown and Aaron Rodgers has yet to take the field and he finds himself down 14 points if Nugent hits it it's 14 points in 12 seconds so the touchdown is confirmed and it is a 14-point advantage for the hometown Bengals good start for Cincinnati now it's Aaron Rodgers in the offense needing to get to work today's game is sponsored by Bud Light of this revere sponsor of the NFL a long drive for a touchdown that a special teams mistake that led directly to a touchdown 12 seconds later and it's 14 to nothing Cincinnati and Ross is back there again Jonathan Franklin the rookie from UCLA one of the up men will be on the far side when we see the other shot and this one drives Ross out of the back of the end zone here's Aaron Rodgers completed 80% of his throws last week against Washington no interceptions for touchdowns 480 yards to tie a team record and this Green Bay offense made it look easy the entire game last Sunday it was something to watch that's for sure and to say that he comes into this game with a lot of confidence is a gross understatement and our business stops and I stuck Laura's his shoulder and picks up the first down went right for Reggie Nelson at the end of it in a gain of 12 well doumitt Apeco right here in the middle he's the big body and you've got to be able to control him as well as Gino Atkins they're able to get the movement up front Atkins runs himself up the field and created a nice lame then four starts starts who had 132 rushing yards last week that was a dangerous crow and good coverage out of the edge by Leon Hall on Reggie Cobb let's go to Curt with a game break well the Redskins off to a better start today against the Lions than they were last week against the Packers dads will hold right to him from Matthew Stafford 17 yard Gators get their seven-month lead in the early goings kids on top Joe join Pam [Applause] and Jonas and Reggie Kray Randall Cobb out on the edge at second and 10 Thank You Kurt what action from Rogers the pass for Nelson it is a catch for a first down at the 45 and a perfect throw from Aaron Rodgers [Applause] not without some pressure on Aaron Rodgers in the pocket but that was a big conversion there by the Green Bay Packers we get up to the line and snap it in a hurry Stark's is wrapped up in the backfield Dunlap made the play and will go back to that previous play after starts just lost four and then we'll go to the catch which was argued on the sidelines we'll see if that was a clean catch by Nelson that's why they got up there quick and snapped it yeah they rushed the snap and that's why that offensive line wasn't quite settled either [Applause] this is car that's car wrapped up by Adam Jones a gain of just three third down coming off I know you think back to that game last week with the Packers and they these receivers had almost 300 yards after the catch a real key for the Cincinnati defense is to do what they've done and yes they're going to complete passes but make the tackle right after the ball is complete [Applause] and now drive gently got it and then he got what my loca came in and made the hit and it's fourth down and Finley has to go down to Annie after this vicious hit that was a big hit by a locally derived on it and how Rogers even fit that ball in it was really excellent coverage by Burfict the linebacker you can see Rodgers fits this thing in perfectly and then right at the tail in Tibet as Finley's trying to haul it in I look at knocks it loose Bentley down on the turf go get him a look we'll take a break sponsored by the 2013 Ford f-150 with EcoBoost by KFC the official sponsor of couch gating KFC Plus football equals couch gating and by gatorade Gatorade knows it all begins with in Lin from within we'll give you a look at the replays up that near catch by your Michael Finley he got up went off started to at least went down on a knee then on to his back got up during the break and jogged off the field as maste will punt it puts the nose of the football down Tait inside the 10 with a fair catch around the 6 of the 7 we go back to that near catch in the hit by Iloka you see George Iloka come in and you see the shoulder he's trying to play it the right way and as he comes through wasn't even trying to put a vicious hit on him either but the shoulder pad comes through the helmet then on to Michael Finley you can tell clearly I mean he wasn't right it would be curious to see how he's able to handle this and in what the reports going to be if he's going to be able to play in this game but I thought I locos the safety not trying to you know put a vicious hit on a defenseless receiver but it ended up being his shoulder pad to the helmet of Jemima Finley here's Ben Jarvis Green Ellis on first down he's got a touchdown as does the wookie Bernard in a gain of five six and a half to go opening quarter and Iloka made the play because Finley had secured that catch somehow as you said Aaron Rodgers able to fit that ball in there but I look and knocked it out second and five for Cincinnati up 14 [Applause] Bengals ran for 127 yards against Pittsburgh last week on Monday night a tossed his Sindhu and Cindy we got back to the line of scrimmage maybe Raji and jolly were in there to make the stop and so third long coming up and a whole lot of blockers out there in front of him but Kyle cooked the center he's he turns one loose and so they don't get much out of that play trying to run the reverse to the short side of the field he don't get the edge you're gonna have a hard time picking up yards not a real successful play there for the bangles so Marvin Lewis in his 11th year as head coach here in Cincinnati watching a third and six [Applause] let's coming from the Packers Dalton fire sideline incomplete defense does a nice job of forcing a bring it out Marvin Jones the intended receiver was a good stop there by the Green Bay Packers after the Bengals drove down on their first possession and came away with a touchdown the Packers obviously don't get any points but at least they got field position so the Packers should get this with excellent field position los is waiting for the punch Aarthi sticking with him and it's a line drive punt that is fair caught by Ross out across the 40 47 yard one nothing on the return Packers have it second time down 14 been a while since the Packers have been in this position down by 14 points in the first quarter since 2005 of Baltimore that game did not end well to say the least this drive the second for this offense will start at the Green Bay 42 Ferrara jerseys biggest comeback win 14-point deficit here starts buried it for 12 yards on his first carry and he gets four this time down to the field and Pam Oliver Kojo Packers tied into Michael Pena he went into the locker room he was accompanied by the team neurologist Finley is being examined for a head injury now they usually call it that if it's a concussion we will keep you updated back to you all right when I go to big part of this offense 61 catches a year ago here is on the same page Newman and coverage third down coming up his defense by the Cincinnati Bengals it's one of the best in the league and has been for a number of years Mike Zimmer has done a terrific job when he took over as defensive coordinator many many years ago and they're able to do a lot of things or him to get pressure on the quarterback with that front last week the Redskins decided to play single high safety and man-to-man on the outside throughout that game they got torched bangles have mixed it up nicely here on this first quarter on third down Roger [Applause] michael johnson gets his first two the season Michael Johnson's going to come here on the stunt you see he works his way around they've got the center they're in a position to make the block but he fails to overall you know they're so good up front you don't have a lot of time in the pocket so the ball has to come out pretty quickly good coverage on the back end Rogers holds it just long enough for Johnson to get the sack talked about the money that groups making up front for Cincinnati top foursome a defensive line is this one we'll head out about perfect punt by mass stay inside the 10 making 47 million and they had pressure on Aaron Rodgers it's big Michael Johnson getting the sack there is a flag down on that punt which right now was marked out of bounds at the 5 masta is one of the best at downing it inside the 20 years cui played during the kick holding the turn team number 30 at least half the dishes in the line first down Cincinnati metal market inside the three Andy Dalton back to the field up 14 here at all over the back - here for the Green Bay defense to make something happen the ball inside three Green Bay defense that has free agent rookie crisp banjo and it's safety with MD Jennings on the bench to start this Drive and we'll see how the Bengals Cheyenne bring it out [Applause] it's incomplete second down now once again Joe Dom Capers he's playing with a the short hand considering JC Hayward and Jarrod Bush and as you mentioned Morgan Burnett being down once again the various combinations that he's had to employ and it's made it tough but yet they've got to by next week and so rather than rush any of those guys back give them a couple of extra weeks to get healed and hopefully it won't be an issue but a number of hamstring issues with this Green Bay Packer team to the 10th third down coming up you saw Morgan Burnett on the sidelines still out with a bad hamstring he is the in essence quarterback at least of the secondary Casey Hayward's been out with a bad hamstring he had six interceptions last year led all rookies and led this team over the last year Morgan Burnett played every defensive snap and this year he hasn't taken one third down and two [Applause] first one of the game before a third and two backers had stacked their defense on the left side Dalton didn't like what he was looking at big third down coming up in this first quarter when we return four Bengals possessions they have not thrown in the direction of AJ Green yet third down and two now that previous third down on the last possession he was single covered and Dalton didn't even look his way which is not typical normally because there's so few opportunities for him to get the single coverage if he gets it he's usually getting the ball thrown in his direction [Applause] yeah [Applause] whoopee it depends on the spot [Applause] [Music] what's to be enough and it is nothing was there inside for Giovanni Bernard he bounced it outside and got just enough well they're showing a pass set the bangles are and they're going to sneak one end Bernard and pick up the birds down but the Packers they they play it beautifully they just unable to get a body on him and get him on the ground and it shows you some of the quickness and speed that he has being able to pick that up there's Bernard again right across the 15 picks up four let's go to curtain in the game room well Kim neatly lust for forty yards on the Panthers fifty nine yard scoring dry but his back taller he takes it in on fourth down and Carolina has danced out to the lead over the Giants seven nothing here man in the fourth quarter Cho choice man so the question is is the NFC East any good it's been a slow start for that division here in 2013 now you don't need to balance it nearly going the answer to be no second and six play action conduct now to his right in Russia and a minimal gain is a Jayhawk makes the play actually a loss of one and so third down coming up again a Jayhawk a nice play another big third down here for this Packers defense if they're able to make a stop they once again will be able to give the ball back to their offense with good field position the Packers had the ball to start that last drive on the 40-yard line and failed to come away with any kind of points and you just don't see that very often this Packers offense now third down and seven [Applause] that dog my shields there is a flag down shield stepped in front of green and got the interception samshield showed his wide receiving skills there 63 he had five a year ago he's got his first this season and they finally looked in the direction of AJ Green and it was 37 right he's one-on-one on the outside and that's a tough order there for Sam shields and the ball was thrown behind him if he gets it he have to get that ball out on the sidelines AJ green running the comeback route that's where he was expecting it but a great play on the ball by Sam shields there's not many corners in this league that can make that play but as I said shields with who was a wide receiver at the University of Miami didn't make the switch the corner until his last season shows that he still has great ball skills and just gave his Packers exactly what they needed a first down at the Cincinnati 26 Rogers Peaks it drops it off it's Andrew portlets in there and tied in now not a good throw from Aaron Rodgers withdrew michael finley out after the hit by Iloka there Rogers not happy with the throw on that play because the Bengals are trying to minimize the damage to the outside receivers so they're being very careful as to when they single those guys up expect Rogers for the most part in this game to have to work the middle of the field second and ten No [Applause] this starts they're done coming up Stark's gets three if the packers wish they can let the first quarter expire like the up-tempo stuff with 14 seconds left they do have the wind at their back you know as in zone and complete the intended receiver and coverage by Leon Hall and that's it for the first quarter it's three and out after the turnover 14 nothing Cincinnati on top back after this from your local Fox station 41 yard try coming up for Mason Crosby he's 1 for 1 this season it was just a 28 yarder rough year in 2012 he absolutely drilled it and so the Packers are on the board they will kick it back to Cincinnati the Bengals had it for more than 10 minutes of that first quarter and we will tell you the today on Fox it's the series premiere of being Mike Tyson the show critics are calling brutally honest the most revealing portrait of Tyson yet if you think you know them think again show premieres today following football right here on Fox new episodes Tuesdays on Fox Sports 1 to find Fox Sports 1 on your provider go to fox sports 1.com right now you see these stats from the opening quarter and from last week to this week for Green Bay offensively last week they had 125 yards against the Redskins in the opening quarter just 35 today we know one thing after a quarter it's that Cincinnati's defense is a lot better than Washington yeah I think we knew that coming into the game but I'll tell you that's an excellent job there in that first quarter by the Bengals defense to give the ball to the Packers where they got two of those possessions they force a punt on the first one this last possession to only give up a field goal when the Packers were in Bilbo range when they took over with the football very impressive there's tape and he will bring it out [Applause] trying to get to the 25 he's knocked down at the 24 and we welcome you inside our broadcast booth here in Cincinnati everybody else is weighed in on that crazy trade with the Cleveland Browns in the Indianapolis Colts how about Trent Richardson getting traded is a great trade for the Indianapolis Colts I mean if you're their organization and you give up a first-round pick for a guy who's better than any running back in college right now I think it's a great complement to a franchise quarterback Andrew Luck I don't know what to make of the trek for Cleveland Browns and off to Ben Jarvis green Ellis and he ran into a wall kind of a half a yard Brad Jones the first guy their Colts will play later this afternoon out in San Francisco they will be carrying with them two of the top three picks in the draft last year with luck and Richards and Trent Richardson he's going to play it was apparent when Chuck Pagano had his press conference following the trade he said he will be on the field he'll have some snaps and my guess is right now he's playing it for a good defensive front but on second down dog hold it down Great Depression ball team and it does belong to Green Bay Gresham hadn't had a first down a Jayhawk comes away with a football we will get another look at that Brad Jones comes in and he goes right for the ball he knows he's got his hand on it and he rips it out of there and though the Bengals were trying to say that he was down but sure looked to me like it came out before he went to the ground and it does there as well it's a good job after the Packers gave up a big drive on the opening possession of this game they have tightened up here since then we had a chance to talk to Winston Moss who coaches the inside linebackers for Green Bay and he was talking about Brad Jones who's already got seven tackles and now a forced fumble he's been impressive the Manning really has he's been excellent in the run game he's been good when they've asked him to blitz and then he makes him play there I just think that he's been very solid throughout it's a toss to start side start to the play starts cut back turns it into a four-yard game this game has really been about these turnovers in the short field the Bengals capitalized when they got it inside the five the Packers did not the last time they got the ball in this possession they touchdown anyway you see the difference in last week and this week Claire rod is this important drive right now for his Packers offense to do something more than just three points got three points off the last turnover in that poreless is wide open but drops it Reggie Nelson hit him but after the ball was dropped Green Bay Packers are missing the presence of German Finley in their offense without after getting hit why I love the earlier this would have been an easy first down and the Packers here today have yet to convert here on third down support [Applause] for Jones [Applause] is down and still as Rogers [Music] offense at least a coin [Applause] the left Anika Bakhtiari he gets the hold on Michael Johnson as Johnson comes in at the end of that play and gets a little bit of a hit there on Rogers but just a great job defensively and they singled up the outside receivers I mentioned it moments ago the Redskins got exposed when they tried to match up against these Packers receivers man-to-man that time on third and long they match up singled up and they failed to connect you don't see that that often to the Packers here looks like they're gonna go for the show they're gonna go for it by Cincinnati ten-yard penalty from the previous spot replay third down and now Cincinnati accepts the penalty as a referee cleat Blakeman corrects the call on the field and that will arch the football back you get on the look at the hold by boxy re now there is right there in michael johnson he got him with his left hand up in the chest I wonder if Mike McCarthy just kept the offense out there to try to get the bangles to accept the penalty I have a hard time believing they wouldn't have settled for the full goal in that situation they're down in 17 Rogers in trouble and down he goes again Berry was in there as was Johnson [Applause] and know where to throw it for Aaron Rodgers this time they play coverage with it being obviously long down situation and no Rodgers just doesn't have enough time to find the open guy and that's that defensive pressure up front that we talked about coming into the game Gill berry and Johnson in there on the sack and now the punt from mast day and so Green Bay gets nothing out of the fumble by Gresham it has been a frustrating start for Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers here on the road Bengals get the ball back up by 11 this game on Fox is sponsored by Windows Phone meet the new Windows Phone the smartphone reinvented around you by Lowe's Lowe's never stop improving and by the US Postal Service 14th season here at Paul Brown Stadium after being at riverfront for 30 seasons Nippert stadium pride a riverfront now it's a first down for Cincinnati at their on 15 a 14 to 3 to the 20 and we go down to Pamela but Joe Cocker's Tyne injure michael finley won't return as his protocol and independent neurologist confirmed the diagnosis Finley is the second player on offense can post within a week the other running back Eddie Lacy last week against Washington there is any Lacey James Starks filled in for him and had a great game running into the Packers last week again [Applause] a Jayhawk on the tackle depends on the spot it's in first down let's go to Kurt for the game room and this is a University of Cincinnati product getting the highlight Tom Brady to Kem Brel captains undrafted out of Cincinnati his first NFL touchdown first touchdown at the end of the game and the paint is to the 70 lead over Tampa social impact all right Kurt dome atop Petco comes in as they mark barnard earth down inches shy the first down he says when he lines up at pulled back he's looking for the opposite color Hellman just brought him over picked up by Jennings and took the endzone for the touchdown knocked out by flame Matthews and endi Jennings had just put the Green Bay Packers on the return back into the game an eternal excite Matthews comes from the other side the balls being run away from him he leaps in the air and as he comes in to make the play he's able to knock the ball loose it's an outstanding job by a really great player you see the balls being a runaway from Clay Matthews he comes across unblocked the thought then for the offense is it's short yardage situation no way the backside guy can get there to make the play but Clay Matthews does bangles have turned it over on three straight possessions has been Jarvis Greene Ellis who was 14 of 15 a year ago on third down and a yard was handed the ball it was knocked out by Clay Matthews picked up by M D Jennings 24 yards later as they look at it again look at that play by Clay Matthews I think they want to make sure that Jennings wasn't touched when he was down and it does not look like he was they confirmed the touchdown the 24 yard return on the fumble by Jennings Crosbie makes it a four-point game so the bangles turn it over on three straight possessions as a fight breaks out after the extra point [Applause] and they try and sort it out [Applause] which they've done Cincinnati offense back to the field when we come back up now by 4:00 Cincinnati did not turn it over in their divisional win last Monday here at home against Pittsburgh they've turned it over on three straight possessions to Dom Capers who runs a defense that's always been reliant on takeaways in 2009 to 2011 his defense had the most in the NFL per game that had tapered off last year and they had forced only one so far this season coming into today different story and the Packers back in the game this is tape crosswire and now on across the 25 where he's knocked down by Lattimore and we look at Andy Dalton and the draft class he was part of in 2011 number one overall Cam Newton out of Auburn number eight Jake Locker out of Washington Blaine Gabbert from Mizzou Christian Ponder went well overall the Minnesota then the next quarterback was dalton out of TCU and right after him in the second round the 36 Vickers Colin Kaepernick the San Francisco out of Nevada they'll be in there in Texas very familiar with Andy Dalton in his career at Texas Christian University and I thought it was a great pickup when the bangles got of been he's been solid dog not to his right nice Bernard and Giovanni gets 6aj fog on the stop I think he's got great anticipation in the pocket he's got good footwork he's fundamentally very sound he's smart I think the real key for him right now the expectations for all these young quarterbacks is really high and he's in his third season he's been a starter from day one he's taken the team to the playoffs each of the first two seasons he's not played well once he's gotten to the playoff he talked about being consistent in big games this is an important drive with an offense that has gone nowhere since the first possession something him to settle this group down second the pressure from Jimmy's empty Jennings on a blitz a second a loss of four I don't know if Andy just doesn't see Jennings coming off the edge or not but he's on a blitz to his front side he tries to escape it but unlike the previous two weeks for the Packers when they had to worry about Kaepernick last week Robert Griffin the third Dalton is not going to outrun indeed Jennings who has three tackles a sack and a fumble return for a touchdown third Doug's been hit five times still nothing for aging [Applause] County's still on his Green Bay Devon house missed on the sack and that was the best thing that could have happened to the Packers [Applause] after Dalton survived that initial hit somehow the ball came out that bring four defenders to this side and you can't block that up there's always going to be an extra defender on the rush Andy Dalton does not pick it up Sam shields on the Blitz snooze Newsnight shields is Devon house on the short side of the field he doesn't see it he gets hit and then ultimately the ball ends up coming out and another short field AJ greens getting frustrated so are these fans still no catches for green Neal and Matthews were there when the ball came out and that's four straight possessions with a turnover for the Bengals I'll tell you who's frustrated and that's the offensive coordinator Mike Zimmer the Cincinnati Bengals their defense has been outstanding and they've got ten points on the board against them and none of it at the expense of the defense now you get the ball once again back to this Packers offense without standing field position and they've backed this defense up once again I see I said it was Neal was actually the rookie day tone Jones who's the one I believe who got his right hand on the football when he and Matthews got there together the turnover is confirmed and that's four turnovers in the last nine offensive plays run by the Bengals that's two straight possessions by the Packers with pressure MD Jennings and then Devon house short side of the field that bring the extra guy Don capers dials it up Andy Dalton doesn't see either one now here's Green Bay in a position to take the lead the hand to start a nice run on first down against Mike Symons defense gain of seven well anytime you give the ball to an offense no matter who you're facing on this part of the field you're it's a win for you defensively if you hold them to a field low on the last time the Packers got the ball in field goal position they had to punt that was a great defensive stop anything short of the endzone for the bangles is a good job second down and two Costas starts brought down right at the market but this is an important drive also for this Packers offense because you know we showed the frustration by AJ Green with the bangles will Aaron Rodgers has been a little bit frustrated too because he's not accustomed to nor are the rest of these offensive players having the ball where they've had it and not being able to do more with it starts got enough for a first down the ball is just outside the tent [Applause] day theories again cutting back the nice play made upfront Dunlap was in there for Cincinnati second down coming up [Music] [Applause] [Music] Ryan Taylor a third-year player out of North and in the huddle and in this offense this entire drive not Paulus after it dropped the last time the pass that is second him not Antone it's down in the area of a hold against Cincinnati James Jones the intended target at the top of this route James Jones and Adam Jones there's going to be contact right at the time defense there were 24 and you see James Jones to get one-on-one outside James Jones is going to lean on Adam Jones and then create the separation when he comes out of it Aaron Rodgers trying to then lay him out towards the sideline in the end zone and to grab clearly by Adam Jones and the official was right there to make the call not a bad trade though for Jones and the Bengals Adam Jones that looked like he saved a touchdown so the whole sets up first and goal at the 5 [Applause] throws it away and get shoved to the turf by dumb luck TJ lang he didn't much care for the for the knock down there on Aaron Rodgers either in Dunlap comes in and finally he's able to get pressure on an official referee right there he took a look at it and didn't feel like there was a late hit or a penalty deserved but that was a good job by the secondary to plaster on to these receivers with Aaron Rodgers outside the pocket with time second and goal [Applause] starts down over two [Applause] [Music] and a three and a third goal I'm just watching Aaron Rodgers right now I don't know that he was that crazy about that call or he certainly wasn't happy with the results of the call but as I said I mean just a little frustration and it's gonna get even more so if they fail to pick up a touchdown here on third down you kind of wonder if Mike McCarthy if they do something here to come up short if he wouldn't be inclined to maybe go for it Ross is the man in motion pour this back in there on third and door Rogers keeps it [Applause] we'll get there knocked out of bounds at the one first guy there was Dunlop and its fourth and goal I sure thought Aaron Rodgers passed up Jeremy Ross I thought he got you see him he has an angle and if you stick it on him you know he's may be able to get that across the goal line Rodgers didn't think so so he looked back inside and he tooks he takes big-time punishment no one wants to see that if you're standing over there on that Packers sidelines but another great job by the Cincinnati defense [Applause] who's Reggie Nelson who had that last hit online not sakru a 19 yard field goal it's a one-point game the Packers still trailing by one after four straight takeaways today's game is sponsored by Chevrolet check out the all-new Chevy Silverado at this Silverado vs. all event it started as a block party in 1976 near Fox we're in Cincinnati and has grown is recognized as the biggest Oktoberfest in America attracting over half a million people every year and George Takei led the world's largest chicken dance they were having this year we're having quite a celebration out there last night I know that it's the touchback table takes a need here's the hit on that third down carry on Aaron Rodgers we'll talk more about what followed when we come back there's two heated on the sidelines Bengals Bywater [Music] [Music] the Bengals have turned it over on 4th straight possession the Shogun is going to break Mike McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers little heated on the sidelines and that escalated a bit never do that with Norv on the sideline and what was the results well I'm not just with nor with with all of them that called plays at one time or another sometimes even a head coach or two and you know it's all part of it I unfortunately there's or fortunately however you want to look at it there's cameras that pick up everything and that's to be expected there's been Jarvis Green Alice's Cincinnati's trying to get something going offensively and hang on to the ball heat of the battle calm down these two have been so good together and the success that they've each enjoyed because of what the other guy has been able to do I mean the run that Mike McCarthy said he's been playoffs five into seven years he's been head coach of the Green Bay Packers and he runs as tight and as good as ship is any head coach in the NFL I agree I think he's exceptional head coach I think he's an outstanding play caller and Aaron Rodgers doing things that we've never seen dolphins gonna air it out down the field and quit coverage we've seen shields on AJ Green all day shields has an interception in front of green who's been shut down a little bit surprised and really hasn't had all that many opportunities yet he's been single covered at times you know when you're a guy like AJ Green and at the top of your game you're gonna draw and that's the that's the challenge each and every week is trying to get the ball into his hands but they they've got to find ways I mean whether that's Jay Gruden calling some things I'm sure that he is or Andy voting but you don't let this guy go as long as he has here in this ball game without touching the ball a fun chewing twice [Applause] is made in front of Gresham by Macmillan Terron Macmillan has been kicked on because he has had a rough start to the season filling in for Burnett made a nice diving knock away here the balls has got to be out in front Gresham runs a good round they get the look golden sees exactly where he needs to go with the ball the balls errant though it's thrown behind him and he's been erratic now on a few throws much like he was last week in the early going of that game against Pittsburgh drives him out of bounds Huber's one of the best 55-yard fun nothing on the return after the last week stunning showdown between two of ours and stop fighters the tension between team Rousey and team takes builds over into the locker room what's being called the new best rivalry in sports don't miss an all-new episode The Ultimate Fighter this Wednesday on Fox Sports 1 to find it here provider go to fox sports 1.com right now Aaron Rodgers after three and out right back onto the field and I said a moment ago that he's doing things that we've not seen before I'm talking about when you look at the history of this league he's doing things at this quarterback position here in during his career that are unprecedented numbers I don't know the people truly understand just what we've been watching here for all these years Stark's takes it first end but realize what Rodgers has done just in the last five regular season games he's completed passes it basically 70 percent averaging over 362 passing yards of games 17 touchdowns one interception in a rating of over 125 got his hands full here today with his Cincinnati defenses Starks will carry it and he's brought down about a yard shy of first down third down coming up as he picked up to Michael Johnson on the tackle this is a Cincinnati defense it was not allowed a 300 yard passer over the last 16 regular season games and they're off to the good start here today against Rogers Watchers wires and then a flag for the head Jones has got a first down and then he got hit up around a head or neck and they threw a flag and it's because of that hit by Burfict no Burfict coming over and he's trying to make a play and he has his looks to me like he's trying to come in with his shoulder it's hard to tell it's bangbang type of situation yards first down I don't know so it's just it's a tough sport we talked about this each and every week certainly the image that we saw of your michael finley walking off the field is not the image that anyone wants to see certainly not the National Football League trying to protect these players as best we can but I don't know about that one I think this game as we know it has just changed forever 13 yard completion to Jones his first catch 15 yards on top of it first down at the 41 the pass is caught by Taylor picks up three let's go to joel clap for a game break I thank you Joe and we go to Washington Redskins been struggling in the first half of ballgames but now the running game going Alfred Morris thirty yards to the house 1414 with the Lions back huge oak the Owen two Redskins against the one-on-one lines thanks Joel second down seven [Applause] there starts right side cuts up sales count first down and spins his way inside the curtain knocked down by Iloka after a gain of 12 when you run the ball to the tight inside you better have a tight end then they can block the eggs and Ryan Taylor number 82 does an excellent job you see that he's able to make the key block then that Springs James starts as a runner that's the guy you're kind of reading is he going to hook him to where you can get outside does he push him out and then you come running off in his back and that's what starch was able to do to pick up a nice game taylors now scoreless back in there first down Green Day he's wrestled down beers another Green Bay first down it is [Applause] the Packers offensively they're finally starting to develop a little bit of a rhythm here on this Drive [Applause] first down to the 17 [Applause] is the second for Jones and he's going to be knocked down right marker about 810 inches shy the first down [Applause] the clock continues to wind down toward the two-minute warning at second and one [Applause] Aaron Rodgers can let it get to two no they snap it get discussed he's got a first down it'll be first and goal at the five on the other side of the two-minute warning what a game here in Cincinnati Green Bay down one knocking on the door this is the fifth time in six possessions the Packers have had the ball in Cincinnati territory at only 13 points so far down by one two minutes left first and goal from the five [Applause] laughter yes and that play was made by Michael Johnson yeah the outstanding play by Michael Johnson he just crashes down and clogs it up but it doesn't give anything with James Starks is a good first down defense for the Cincinnati Bengals Cincinnati with two timeouts Green Bay all three second ago [Applause] geez back to the ground our lowest unlock got a great start on the snap and he got in there rogers couldn't get away i was looking for a flag jo i mean he came screaming off the line he timed it perfectly with the snap I don't know didn't look like they're working off of silent town or he's catching on to the count but he moved as soon as the ball did and got there and got the pressure on Roger the loss of eight now third and goal the 40 seconds left in the half I'm out green let's take you out to Los Angeles in here from Curtin Menifee what's coming up at halftime coming up on the Mesa halftime those guys will fill those seats as we talk about a busy week three already including Ed Reid going back to Baltimore ap trying to lead the Vikings of the first one of the season and rivers already flowing for San Diego some of these at halftime not exactly Reservoir Dogs but a nice shot of the guys walking down the hallway toward their spots it's third down and goal thirty seconds left the bad news for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers the sack happen the good news for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers it gives Rodgers a little more room to maneuver he is as good as it gets in the red zone Aaron Rodgers with a career quarterback rating of over 107 in the red zone 115 touchdown passes three interceptions third goal Jonathan Franklin in the backfield quit throwing Nelson nothing back down by Terrence Nilda and that play didn't seem to have any chance of getting into the end zone well I think what the bangles are doing because we've seen the Packers in this situation is it it looks like they're going to go for it here on 4th down Joe but no they'll take it down take a timeout kick it and that'll be the end of the half I was wondering you know why they would not take the points but anyway the thing that we've seen from the bangles is the job that they're doing after the catch so they complete a pass and there's been very few missed tackles and you know once again Mike Zimmer and his defensive unit through a terrific job the Packers started to mount some plays together started to get a little bit of momentum and then for them to get inside the 5 and had to settle for a field goal just an excellent job defensively however the Packers will go in at half they were down 14 to nothing early I mean in a blink opening possession 80 yards for Cincinnati into the end zone then up basically a muffed kickoff then went for a turnover next play touchdown 14 to nothing and with this Green Bay can go on top by two at the half Cincinnati I believe is going to use a timeout and they are before a 26-yard trot mr. chip shot coming from Mason Crosby trying to go 3 to 3 today 4 for 4 on the year turnovers will eat at marvin lewis four straight possessions with turnovers with a loud Green Bay to get back into the game and maybe have a lead here at the half I'm not sure either team feels real good respect out you know I mean the Packers are certainly frustrated the Bengals are frustrated that offensively they've not been able to hang on in football Osby knocks it through and with that the Green Bay Packers is these two teams mix it up again have come back from the 14-point deficit to lead 16 to 14 at the half the 26 yarder is good Ron's beat 3 from 3 on the day and turnovers the reason Green Bay got back in it shields with an interception Jones forced a fumble [Applause] his day tone jumps a part of it with Clay Matthews forcing the turnover and the Green Bay Packers to [Music] at the half well I would say the bangles are fortunate that the Packers just leave by two normally you give the ball to the Packers and wait the places that they've had the ball here in this first half this game is about over here after 30 minutes it's still a ball game but offensively the bangers are gonna have to do a lot more than they've done Green Bay will have the ball to start the second half leading by two you step aside here in Cincinnati should be a fun second half coming up Visa halftime is coming up not after a break Kurt the guys coming up right now here comes a second half from Cincinnati you can follow your favorite team all season long go to iTunes comm slash NFL Packers had the ball five times in six possessions in Cincinnati Cincinnati territory they came away with only 16 but lead by two the drive will start at the 20 down to the veal Pam Oliver Hotel Cincinnati coach Marvin Lewis he stressed the obvious we got to protect that football he also wants more consistency in the one game getting AJ Green involved he said we are not going to throw into coverage you see what happened when we did that last time big injury news for the Green Bay Packers running back James starts he is questionable with the knee injury McCarthy said next man up back to you that next man Pam is Jonathan Franklin who has not carry the ball yet [Applause] and without Eddie Lacy maybe without James Starks I don't have John tuned out with the bat [Applause] over the middle it first down and a completion to Randall Cobb of 26 yards to start the half Cincinnati trying to rush for guys and they just are not able to get any pressure an excellent job by the offensive line Randall Cobb work in the middle of the field and we've seen this time after time from Randall Cobb when his quarterback is endangering works back to there's Nelson forced out of bounds by Adam Jones who the Green Bay Packers lost to Juan Harris during the preseason they cut Alex green they started the season with Lacey last week suffered the concussion not active today John out with a bad hamstring now Starks with a knee injury to go down to Franklin UCLA Bruins history Franklin gets five yards and a first down they'll keep an eye on Aaron Rodgers as they go they remain in the no huddle if Aaron Rodgers is going to be very clear with Jonathan Jonathan Franklin as far as what is being called I don't know if they'll scale things back but as you said Joe first time for Jonathan Franklin you you've got to believe that they're not going to try to overload them too much here the least in the early going in the second half [Applause] [Music] and not only is it an issue for a guy in Franklin running the ball that's maybe happy the other big part of it for Rodgers and the Packers is picking up bleachers and helping to protect their franchise quarterback I think that's the thing that's held him back the most you know has been pass protection and everyone talks about a guy's ability to run but will you become one-dimensional if you can't use a guy for protection let's hop in yet [Applause] of the tight-end Taylor we could see Taylor some in the backfield we will see Corliss some in the backfield because of their ability to walk yeah I think the thing that really hurts them right now with Starks being down as you said John also inactive with a hamstring he likely would have been the guy to come in here because of his ability to block in these third down situations third down in ten Flitz pass is incomplete a flag is down where Rogers went down and a huge penalty against Nelson that's an easy call to make I mean Reggie Nelson comes off the edge he lowers his his helmet it looks like he might have led with the hands but he clearly dropped his helmet and that's what the referee saw the crowd here sees the replay of it on the scoreboard you know after you look at it and when I saw it live I thought I saw it with the referee saw the lowering of the helmet crown of the helmet coming in on Rogers but you take a closer look at that in slow motion you see that there really wasn't a lot there a big penalty pass is the reach of Paulus and a flag comes in here [Applause] poreless got up looking for the flag [Applause] [Music] they go hands to the face on Aaron Rodgers on this play defense in today's NFL that's as much as foul or more so than the one where they got Nelson now they get a defensive hold five yards of first down on the coverage of Andrew porous now they did change the rule to it has to be a forcible blow that certainly didn't look like a forcible blow but as we're reminded every week these officials are going to err on the side of caution and we've seen that on the last two plays we like [Applause] he's got some zip tool during the offseason slowed down during the preseason and people were wondering exactly what they had in this fourth round pick gets to the line pretty quick he picked up five at second and five he's got some quickness shoot Aaron Rodgers last week compared him to Darren Sproles which I ready to put it in that category yet they toss it to him running to the right brakes attack though had to first down inside the ten [Applause] shows you some of the ability that Jonathan Franklin has and you know when I mentioned Darren Sproles in the package that they had up for him last week a lot of it had to do really within the passing game he has the ability to create matchup problems for a defense but he can also be slippery outside on the edge as he was on that last play now on first down pass caught by Frank and takes it down to the - good catch oh not a great throw a seven-yard pickup it's second and goal and out perfect miss hurry they were blocking on the outside it was designed the entire way to go - Jonathan Franklin a better throw he probably scores but with the help of some penalties on this bangles defense has been a good possession for the Packers yeah they hit by Nelson came on a third down incompletion the drive was kept alive and now for untouched the first NFL touchdown in the career of Jonathan Franklin in place of Starks who's playing in place of Lacey and they keep moving down the depth chart and Franklin good from two yards away you see Andrew Wallace he comes off he makes the key block tell exactly who it was perfect that he blocked perfect was looking for a holding penalty but it was perfect responsibility to get out and contain there an excellent job of blocking by the best blocking tide in the Packers have and it's a 2314 game 23 unanswered points put up by the Packers the latest by the rookie Jonathan Franklin today's game on Fox is sponsored by Southwest Airlines find our fares online only at southwest.com by Chrysler imported from Detroit by DIRECTV if you call yourself a sports fan you've got to get DIRECTV and by Miller Lite it's not just a good time it's Miller time on a drive kept alive by a penalty on the safety reggie nelson the Green Bay Packers in Jonathan Franklin take advantage of it 9 play drive in the end covering 80 yards to start the second half and it's a 9 point game tape waiting for the kick from Aston taking the kickoff duties away from Crosby trait on kicking field goals tape from the endzone got five the balls-out it will stay with Cincinnati Robert Francois delivered the head and it was almost the fifth turnover of the game for Cincinnati looks like Pearman got on top of it for the Bengals who tapped the ball and trail by 9 Bengals had five first downs on their first drive only two since agent green has been shut down with the tackle immediate come on Williams brought him down no game let's go back and look at that penalty on Reggie Nelson well this is real speed you can see how that looks the referee is right there to make the call you know you see the head snap and a guy come in with the crown of his helmet like that but I really believe Nelson was trying to hold up and it wasn't the hit that the referee thought that he saw quite honestly what I thought I saw from up here in an unfortunate penalty for Cincinnati because they would have gotten off the field on that play that second and 10 [Applause] wrapped up brought down by Brad Jones who's had a nice game a gain of seven third and short coming up will you talk about how an amped this offense has been since that opening possession and it's really surprising to me I mean that they haven't been able to do more this is a defense coming into this game that was given up over 450 yards of offense again with ton of yardage to the 49ers a ton of yardage especially the second half last week for Washington Cincinnati's been in it unable to do anything and they've got the weapons and the guys to exploit some of the holes within this defense it's a big third down right now considering the way this game has gone here start the second half they're down and three [Applause] a jade green the crowd here says finally brought down by shields Clay Matthews was on the sidelines on that third down play helmet off and a conversion for Cincinnati this one wasn't uncontested I mean Sam Shields was right there to make a play it's a good job of making the catch by AJ Green but somehow they got to get down the field everything that they've been throwing has been underneath has been shallow and they've got to stretch these guys vertically which they have the players to do that job is great Alice no game like Daniels on the stock second attempt a jade green guy who coming in 20 touchdowns 33 regular season games at 97 catches last year 15 already this season over 200 yards with one catch six yards today that's it on second down [Applause] drags a tackler down inside the 40 the Mohamed Sanu talked about him a little bit earlier in the ballgame I really like what he's able to do last year his rookie season cut short because of a broken foot and he was really starting to come on at the time of that injury all of these receivers we talked about AJ Green but Mohamed Sanu as well tall rangy guys including the tight ends and they can create some problems that would get for 23 yards has been Jarvis green Ellis almost broke free from the Iowa County jolly on the tackle a gain of three the 23 yard artisinal in the second Cincinnati play over 15 yards all game and Sanur has both of them they really haven't been able to get Ben Jarvis Green Ellis going in the running game they've had a little bit more success with Giovanni Bernard but you know looking at the big picture Green Bay has you kind of wondered okay where they were good week that night she had lasted over that they've been pretty good here being able to play the run today let's go Bengals pick it up covered by sand shield shields has seen a lot of a jcrane who sinks and shields on AJ Green a lot in this ball game and that one was more of a look like just a miscommunication between a AJ Green and Andy Dalton because Sam shield was over the top there was never an opportunity for a jade green to get by you're not gonna know how many guys they're gonna outrun Sam shield proudly acted here to that hit by Truman Williams a step too late for 37 has dropped by some new we'll go quickly down to Pam Oliver henge out first we were told that it was just a rotation issue with Clay Matthews being on the sidelines now the Packers are saying it's a hamstring injury and he is questionable hamstring cost Clay Matthews four games last year you know I don't know what's going on with the Packers I there's more hamstring issues on that team than I've ever seen anywhere I mean I don't know that they're having those kinds of problems elsewhere but a lot of hamstring injuries on both sides of the Wolfpack Huber hits it end over end and it's cob with a fair catch just inside the tent back on the field of Green Bay offense and Aaron Rodgers leading by nine Bentley left early with a concussion James Starks out with a knee injury play Matthews now out with a hamstring this baby farm down in this game 14 to nothing we're gonna go starting at the 8th that's John he's wrestled out of bounds by Adam Jones in Iran placards with that quick huddle and right back to the line of scrimmage [Applause] Hey Hey [Applause] first in a race and not down inside the 40 [Applause] he says keep feeding me and they might after a 51-yard run for the rookie Jonathan Franklin well the thing that's impressive by Franklin is just how much patience he shows here you see a lot of times you get a young running back and they don't have the patience that's required on a play like that and he read his watch beautifully and then hit it once he saw crease Rogers pulse it back has Nelson Nelson or the catch and he got his feet down inside the ten another acrobatic sideline catch by Jordy Nelson when Aaron Rodgers turned that one lose I thought Terence Newman was going to intercept the ball he didn't get up in the air high enough and the Packers wind up getting a nice game they run it with Franklin and he slipped trying to make his cut let's go back to the Nelson catch I think that you know Terrence Newman had plenty of time in order to get back and get underneath that throw and at least make a play on it but he fails to really know exactly where Jordy Nelson was and Rogers just lays it up there beautifully that was a 30 yard the play [Applause] but a flag is down looked like there may have been too many men on the field and the officials get together it's a touchdown to James Jones at the moment party believes touchdown see if look like one of the Cincinnati players did not get off the field in time [Applause] but still the conversation [Applause] Aaron Rodgers took a hit after he got who after he got rid of the ball a low hit right at the knees by Michael Johnson and Rodgers is over there saying what about a flag for that well they're still trying to sort through it but you know he's outside the pocket Joe and he got hit low and it was one of those hits to that that certainly could have been a pretty significant injury and yet Rodgers able to get up but an excellent role on his part and then he drilled that one in there to James Jones it wasn't even close here's the call [Applause] it was James Harrison unable to get off the field in time here's the hit being outside the pocket the quarterback gives up a lot of that protection and just a dangerous hit by Michael Johnson now you can't hit him high and now you you know you want penalties when you hit low and come on it enough s'en up but they're fortunate because I don't think there's anything dirty with the hit but it the way his knee bucks with a good event it is 30 unanswered points put out by the Green Bay Packers won a display here in Cincinnati five and a half left third quarter Vaughn says Burfict got knocked down at the end of the extra point and then watched 55 come in it's subtle but he gives a cheap shot below the belt to Ryan Taylor and Taylor shoves Burfict to the ground they threw a flag on that action while we were in break and we'll see where the Packers and maste have to kick from as they leave now by 16 Packers 30 unanswered points over the last 25 and a half play whistle foul unnecessary roughness on the kicking team number 82 15-yard penalty is assessed on the kickoff Burfict started it twice and the penalty is against Green Bay he shoved Taylor then they came together then he knocked Taylor below the belt Taylor shot perfect to the ground but that's all the officials saw and so maste has to kick from the twine [Applause] to cheap shots by Montez perfect but a penalty against Green Bay Brandon tape will wait for the kick from fast day from the 20 that's changed [Applause] got to the 35 and that's it take a break come back Cincinnati's offense has done nothing since their first drive down 16 happy as the crowd has been in the last hour and a half as they showed the Reds beating the fire at seven to one in Pittsburgh here after a 14 to nothing lead it's been all Green Bay up by 16 Jones and Marvin Jones brought down by the Ron house a gain of five but what we've seen here especially in the second half and a good part of this game as Sam shields he's just been locking up on on AJ green for the most part wherever he has gone they they got away from doing that normally in years past Ramon Williams would draw the assignment of the opposing team's best receiver this year through the first two games they just decided those guys were going to play their respective sides but in this game they've matched those two up and Sam Shields has been pretty good he's winning that bow so far that direction he's got first [Applause] as he came over the top at the end of the play [Music] see the one-on-one on the outside and an excellent route by AJ Green good timing with Andy Dalton here comes the hit in the late defense necessary repetition 153 fifteen looks like a whole lot to me there but what do I know no but Sam Shields was in good coverage on that on that plate he has been I mean he won AJ who hasn't had a you know a big game here today but when he has gotten the ball to AJ Sam Shields has been in good coverage a lot of helmet to helmet on that hit probably the reason why the flag was thrown it brings the ball inside the 42 the 37 Cincinnati rookie down to the 20 with the first down he had two defenders that were coming at him and he didn't budge you can see these two safeties and they're in a position once he gets into the open field then he just hit it going straight ahead didn't try to put a move on either one of them gets airborne good way to get hurt but a good job up front AJ Green [Applause] shields is feeling like he got pulled by AJ green but Sam Shields is going to be up and he's going to try to get his hands on him he misses with him there and I think it was a good non-call I didn't see a whole lot there from AJ Green that warranted a flag but if you come up and you try to press AGA green you miss you don't make better contact than Sam Shields did then you're gonna have that kind of result it is the third receiving touchdown for AJ Green in this season the extra point makes it a nine-point game again we go back to the touchdown qhe green now you see they've got safety in the middle of the field here that tells Dalton that he's one on one you got press coverage and then so man-to-man you go to your best receiver they finally are able to get AJ Green involved in the game and you see the results no AJ Green has been compared a lot to Calvin Johnson and for the right reasons they're both very tall guys and can run very well they work out together in the offseason but watching them Joe I think AJ Green is as far as what he's able to do down the field the catches he can make but his ability to get in and out of breaks for a guy his size at 6 4 you don't see guys change direction the way that he does we saw it on the comeback route that he caught on that possession against shield this guy is just a terrific football player first point since early in this game there Cincinnati not down by nine in the drive that took under two minutes exactly what the Bengals needed 350 left just the third quarter shields had been winning that battle most of the day but AJ Green just went right around it and that was a big drive for the offense because as you pointed out they had not done anything the defense for the bangles has been good but you can see that they're starting to tire a little bit the Packers offense is starting to come around and start making some plays they had gone down and scored and this game was getting ready to get away from the bangles and they didn't do something so that was a good drive on their part and cut this deficit to nine points Nugent kicks it away [Applause] they're gonna say Audubon's to put the ball at the 40 Ross had his foot on the out-of-bounds line when he fielded the kick [Applause] to take the 40-yard line first down so they'll get it at the 40 up by nine and Nugent hit it sideways never be without football get coverage with every NFL game on NFL mobile call star star NFL to download it now hey weather see off combustor it's the offense for the bangles or the special teams they no one's really done much to help this defense out much of it I think maybe even more than Lewis and say even the officials haven't helped them out in luck starting at the 40 [Applause] Jonathan Franklin gets seven mallalieu go on the tackle with a nice seven yard rod and here's Aaron Rodgers who was trying to maybe make a block I can see why well maybe he'll revisit that and rethink it next time with about Jonathan Franklin I mean the job that he's able to do Rodgers keeps it wicked short now this is charged off his head and complete with new Madonna [Music] and Terrence Newman he never was able to get turned around and locate the ball and Roger sees him getting down field with his back to him and tries to take a shot just unable to quite get enough on it see Terrence doom and he's never able to really locate where the football was coming from now third down and three down at the 46 trying to get it to Jones and that matchup leads to an Aaron Rodgers interception and worse this ball has to be incomplete James Jones just sells out the quarterback he can't do this if you're going on a slant you have to stay on the route and you have to cross that defenders face and if you don't then it opens up the lane for the defender Terrence Newman to make a play on this ball that's a cardinal sin for any receiver on the slant route or an in braking route you have to stay on the move second interception of the season now for Aaron Rodgers and neither one of them have been his fault week one the ball bounced off to Michael Finley's hands and this time James Jones failed to stay on the route and keep that from being intercepted by Newman [Applause] the other way Jones on the tackle and it's good for Cincinnati first down just thinking we haven't gotten these tight ends involved much you know the bangles have not with dressed them and then Tyler Eifert who they they really like a lot but heck nobody's really been that involved with this offense you know I mean last possession they finally started getting AJ Green involved and but another opportunity here for the bangles to bring us into a one possession ballgame i furred has only one catch lockdown bite Ramon Williams on a blitz looked like they might have missed a side adjust or something because once again the Packers bring an extra defender you can see you cannot block those guys up and either Dalton doesn't see it until it's too late or a receiver doesn't make the proper adjustments so he can get the ball out of his hands form on Williams now we've seen him come a couple of times with some reservation on whether and I you in Blitz much has had a history of some shoulder problems but last week he got involved and he's gotten involved again headed in Matthews out with a bad hamstring Dalton [Applause] to be 31 and each endings on the tackle a gain of 13 with under two to go third quarter whether it's to Vaughn Giovanni Bernard or Jonathan Franklin where they sure look an awful lot of life pretty exciting players dynamic guys in space and making some things happen when they've gotten the ball in their hands now third down in five [Applause] a blitz off this edge again time runs out there he goes in McDaniel's [Applause] and now it's fourth down and they are right on the edge of field goal range for Nugent it be 52 yards from here Nugent does not have a big leg as career long as 55 yards within his career just six of 15 from 50 or more and so the Bengals will go for it on fourth and nine well if I was gold not sure try to use the heart cannon here and see if you can't draw on the Packers off five standing used as a timeout [Applause] and so forth down when play resumes as we welcome you inside our broadcast booth this is a crazy game and we the way it started with Cincinnati up 14 to nothing now Green Bay has come roaring back now it seems like the Momentum's back on Cincinnati side big fourth down coming up well it really is as to what they're going to try to do here you know if they don't make it then you give them the ball back to the Packers with awfully good field position I think both of these teams throughout this game have been very frustrated you know by what has happened I don't think either team really feels good exactly where the game is right now but yes a big poor down I just saw they you know they brought in they brought in Petco and now they take him out and they bring in Nugent to try and kick the field goal to make it a one score game 52-yard try [Applause] now 6 out of 16 in his career from 50 and beyond for Mike Nugent and with 26 seconds left the Green Bay Packers survived that Aaron Rodgers interception still a nine-point game next week it's a Fox NFL Sunday doubleheader the early games followed by some big ones late including the Eagles at Denver and paint banning Redskins and Raiders Cowboys at San Diego would match up early between Chicago and Detroit that's next Sunday and it's turn to the Fox NFL kickoff show at 11:00 a.m. Eastern on Fox Sports 1 followed by Fox NFL Sunday on the network on first down Rodgers [Applause] stay inbounds get some extra yards for the first down at the Cincinnati 40 an 18 yard run we've seen it a lot from Cincinnati when you know we've seen them being able to get pressure on Rogers we've seen other times where he's had time in the pocket and when he's had time the secondary really has done a pretty good job for the most part of staying put on those receivers but Rodgers shows his ability to make some things happen on his legs backers are now over 150 rushing yards on the day first down for Green Bay when we come back we go to the fourth after this from your local Fox station [Music] forty yard line as we start the fourth quarter here in Cincinnati Green Bay up nine 58 [Applause] it's a couple guys miss and picks up eight about this if you had told Mike Zimmer defensive coordinator for the bangles that Aaron Rodgers would have less than 150 yards passing after three quarters I mean you'd feel pretty good about that you certainly wouldn't be thinking you'd be behind by nine points but that's exactly what's happened defensively they've been pretty good just haven't had a whole lot of help and the other shiny ball second and two Jews drops it off with Franklin a guy who has really impressed here today has a backer first down he really has and you know we've all been kind of waiting to see when he was going to get his opportunity and you know by the looks of it he's been you know really really good I'd still like to see him in pass protection as to how he can handle that but he has been explosive with the ball in his hands and surely he's earning the right to get more opportunities in future games [Applause] eivin's has to move them right before the snap air intercepted by Leon [Applause] and it is the rare to interception game for Aaron Rodgers he had a 41 game streak of not throwing more than one pick in a game that's over Bengals have it down nine this game on Fox is sponsored by Geico 15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance by Bud Light official beer sponsor of the NFL and by United Airlines the world's most flyer friendly airline United fly the friendly skies this streak is over first game with two interceptions since October 24 2010 for Aaron Rodgers 41 game streak which was an NFL record that's in the books [Applause] the bangles are climbing right back in a 31-yard catch and run by the rookie Giovanni Bernard run a slant on the outside a Jayhawk is in coverage on Giovanni Bernard and Heath you're going to see what happens on the play that he then has to he gets caught up in that traffic in trying to get out there to the flat on Bernard and then it becomes a footrace which who's not going to win in Bernard we've seen it now a number of times this this guy's does not shy away from the contact now he tries to run there we got to a Jayhawk on the stop and back to the end of that big play by Bernard yeah I mean the guy's just five nine he's 208 pounds or whatever it is but I mean easily could have gone out of bounds and preserved himself a little bit he will learn that they hit a little harder at this level than they do in college second at eight [Applause] [Applause] he's looking across and sand shields not there in coverage for Green Bay definitely allowed Sam shields to lock up one on one without any help and we've done a good job as we pointed out they brought the Blitz again from Sherman Williams so we've seen that now a number of times I'm not sure that Dalton saw it coming that time either but because of the route on the outside day jcrane he's able to get it out of his hands third down today [Applause] that's more than jobs and they [Applause] Jones was wrestled to the ground after going out of bounds and they throw a flag 22 yards on the catch and 15 it appears on the end of it well this was set up nicely he got Marvin Jones he's going to the corner and with a lot of protection in the pocket Andy Dalton lays it perfectly and Ramon Williams comes in after that clearly knows he's out of bounds you got to let up at that point and attack some more yardage onto the end of it after the play personal foul unnecessary roughness defense [Applause] since Annette they got together I think they were trying to figure out what the number was was on Sherman Williams that's the third Green Bay personal foul within 37 yards of field position first down at the 25 [Applause] and entrepreneur at the end of it again of to mention Giovanni Bernard sighs you know it's five nine - Oh a two to ten what they have him listed at and you know I asked Jay Gruden the offensive coordinator I said you know could he be the featured back I mean is he big enough or do you worry about wearing him down and he said no there's no doubt that he could be the featured guy and not from what I've seen I would have to agree with that I mean even on that last play he doesn't go down easy he's a tough guy especially running between the tackles well it's coming from Green Bay vandals pick it up [Applause] he gets over Sam shields and has a first down for Cincinnati good for 12 yards another one those outside breaking routes you can see good good release off the line of scrimmage he gets Sam shields turned around and then his ability to stop as quickly as he does and come out of the breaks I just think he's exceptional along with all of these receivers and running routes James urban who had been a longtime quarterback coach at Philadelphia he came over as the wide receivers coach with Gruden and he's done an excellent job with his group pickup with all four of Greene's catches in the second half [Applause] the news were out running ability AJ green and now you see Marvin Jones he's going to be in the slot the Ramon Williams is going to be outside technique but Marvin Jones knows he wants to get to the corner and so he uses speed in order to get there and Ramon Williams had no idea where he went then it's just a matter of making the catch now they'll confirm the score 95 yard drive after the interception by Leon Hall this can make it a two-point game is blocked keeps it a three-point game and a huge effort by Jones rookie date tone Jones got his hand up and block the extra points what a game back and forth that goes Rodgers back to the field up three the 11 yard touchdown catch for Jones Andy Dalton is getting hot here the end of the third quarter beginning of the 4th and it's a 3-point game as the extra point is blocked by date zone Jones the rookie who got through didn't take anything for granted the first-round pick out of UCLA keeps it a three point game [Applause] [Music] Joe [Applause] across the 20 and that's it back to the block of the extra point which are basically taken for granted in the NFL de Chong Jones right there he just gets a free release off the line of scrimmage and is there to make a play and you're right I mean you take those extra points for granted and clearly that one point could prove pivotal as we move through the remainder of this game an excellent job by Cincinnati on the takeaway defensively and then doing something with it offensively for the touchdown Paul the guy who intercepted that pass he played that beautifully to on the interception at their booth Rodgers has a quarterback rating of 54 plate for this game the laid hand off [Applause] it's one rookie on Cincinnati side Bernard and it's Franklin on Greenbay side good for 12 in a first down and a good job by Franklin at the end of that run protecting the football because the Bengals were coming in on it and they were going after it but he secured it and finished off that run Rogers to interception Joker's last four throws [Applause] in 18 laid hand off franklin breaks one tackle [Applause] went right around Leon Hall we couldn't bring him down what looked to be a loss on the play turns into a three-hour game he's pretty slippery that's for sure and you know what we've seen now since Franklin came into the game here his Aaron Rodgers has been making sure he understands the protection he's moved him at times that time you made sure he was understanding the check that he made it the line of scrimmage Jonathan Franklin forties meant to have a veteran quarterback like Rodgers who's able to help them in some of these situations Aaron told us he was doing the same stuff with Eddie Lacy going into Game one at San Francisco time ducks under a big hit by Gilbert picks up before third down coming up this gives us a little bit of an idea certainly not one on one pass protection but after the play fake he comes in and finishes off the clock we'll just continue for him to be a work in progress as he moves through this season third down and three is Franklin out of the backfield and a pitch riding the rookie Jonathan Franklin opportunity knocked today for the 23 year old out of UCLA and he has answered he scored a touchdown he's had some tough yards that was a big first down well that's an element that Mike Zimmer didn't have to worry about when he was coming into this game they put Randall Cobb back there sometimes but now the sudden you've got a runner who has the ability to exploit you with in the past it was only the Packard's second Thursday is met by mama Luca a gain of three Green Bay 3 timeout Cincinnati two timeouts under 8 to play [Music] Green Bay had an opportunity to activate a guy on a practice squad Michael Hill guy who played at Missouri Western had just under two thousand yards a year ago they kept him on the practice squad they're down only to Jonathan Franklin and he has delivered after a knee injury sustained by Starks [Applause] Rogers looked his way and now comes to the right side and finds Jordy Nelson [Applause] small game for Jordy Nelson adjust to another third down coming up for Green Bay up by three when you put a guy in the backfield that could catch the football in run routes as we've seen from Jonathan time Randall Cobb it can really pressure a defense and Michael Johnson got in the throwing lane of that one that was intended for Cobb but Rogers is able to still pick up completion to the outside vandals showing blitz they're coming on a blitz Rodgers throws he's got his man he's got a first Numan all the comforts but a good throw from Aaron Rodgers for the Green Bay first down yeah that's the whole idea defensively is bring the pressure don't ask these corners to stay with the receivers for any length of time see Jonathan Franklin he jumps in there you know I'm impressed with the guy I mean that was obviously an area that that needed improvement but he has stuck his face in there and helped out when he could and he does there but the ball comes out of Rodgers his hand in a hurry but Jordy Nelson being a big target they're able to pick up the first down [Applause] no flag on the let's I didn't know if the Packers got set prior to the snap as they just got it away and Franklin gets four well this becomes a big drive for Green Bay think back to last week when the Redskins started to mount a comeback and the Packers take the drive go down the field get points take time off the clock this is a similar situation there they're in their five minute offense here where if they can just take time off the clock get to the field and turn this into a two possession game they know that they pretty much rehan ninth play of this Drive and a timeout with 5:14 left in the bulkhead Rogers over to talk about it second down we come back to Cincinnati today's game is sponsored by Toyota care Packer fans and Brett barn fans will remember this and came against the Bengals September 20th 1992 Don Makowski out Brett Favre comes in and leads a Packers comeback victory against the Bengals final 24 23 that is if from the Kowski that was it for far we would go on to start every game for the Packers of the 2007 season how about that the next week as you said barb gets his first start and then since that game only three guys has started at quarterback for the Packers and Matt Flynn that's the one start you know I mean it's pretty incredible when you look at that and the number of quarterbacks the Bears for instance have started 26 of them and for this pack an organization to just have three and two Hall of Fame quarterbacks is pretty good stuff second down and six [Applause] ladies Rogers going to put it on got HECO is in there for Cincinnati and he shoved Evan Dietrich Smith right back into Aaron Rodgers a loss of seven that is a big sack for Cincinnati well it's huge I mean it looked like Rodgers initially was going to go outside to James Jones to the one-on-one look but Petco you see his strangest drives them right back into Aaron Rodgers that's a that's a strong man right there now Green Bay's late getting out of the huddle just got it away Rogers quick throw Pass caught that's there's gonna reach and try and pick it up depends on the spot and you can see the official moving in right at our first down line [Music] and with that spot it looks like he's got it but we're going to get a measurement Leon Hall on the tackle is Randall Cobb did every thing he could and got every inch out of that catch and run on third and 12 when Leon Hall I think he's a good tackler but it just looked like he hesitated enough once Cobb got the ball in his hands that allowed Cobb to go after that first down Leon Hall is in was in coverage and he just hesitated enough and wasn't able to get over there and that's a it's an excellent job by Cobb using his speed it looked to me Joe from where we are that he got it it looked like he got it on the spot but if you Cincinnati you look at a replay of that and you try engaged when the knees were down where the football was and the knees go down there and he doesn't get it until he reaches it we'll see if there's a challenge from Marvin Lewis they just laid it on the ground he was very ginger in how he placed it I think there's a strong case to be made that Lewis wins this challenge based on where the knees went down and where the ball was because it took every inch of that stretch so a Cincinnati challenge first challenge of this game [Music] we welcome in a new audience for those of you joining us you're gonna have to read about the majority of what's happened here today because it's virtually impossible to go through it all right now we're in a challenge by Cincinnati and Marvin Lewis of the spot on this 3rd and 12 Marvin Lewis is saying these go down prior to Randall Cobb picking up the first down they initially sit first down Mike Pereira joins us from Los Angeles Mike what you see from your perch out there well if I go under the hood I think I'm looking at the knee touching the ground right here and where is the ball I think it's short of the 29 so I think you've got to move it back maybe we measure at that point but I think it's short we're in agreement with you right now the Packers are inside field goal range either way if they do move it back its fourth and inches so a decision would be coming from Mike McCarthy even on that for those of you just joining us we'll give you a look at it graphically the game summary Aaron Rodgers under 200 yards two picks at 41 games streak where he hadn't thrown more than one interception at a game that was an NFL record that's over and adult really struggled to the middle part of this game that he's gotten hot of late seven combined turnovers including four on four straight possessions by Cincinnati that got Green Bay back into the game after they fell behind 14 to nothing and now with under five to play a Cincinnati challenge and we'll see if it's a first down a fourth and inches and then what Mike McCarthy wants to do yeah I think it's going to come up short and then you visit what is Mike McCarthy going to do and that's an interesting decision for him to make I mean the defense has been really good throughout this game they they've played well but as you mentioned the last possession the bangles went right down the field and that's got to be weighing on Mike McCarthy a little bit and so you'll be real careful as to as to what you do certainly if they could get the first down [Applause] so now it's fourth down fourth and inches and do you go with Crosby to try and make it a six point game or do you leave your high-powered offense out there try and pick it up please spending a lot of time looking at that call sheet you know I mean Crosby's wondering but I think he made his decision before the ruling was even made knowing that it was going to be close on fourth down if they if the call went against them it would be a 47 or 48 yard try from here but they'll go for it Stark's was injured earlier Jonathan Franklin the only healthy running back now the looking for green back Franklin gets it and he has stuck ball comes out picked up by Nelson now picked up by Newman this plant is lying this plant is into the endzone touchdown Cincinnati [Applause] take another look and that blows out early it came out real early Joe you see that he just had one arm on the football it did not secure with his left when he came into the line and it gets knocked out then by Michael Johnson and initially you're looking to see whether or not the official spotted it for the first down and then there was a scrum for the ball it comes out Newman is able to get it after that fumble by Nelson and go the distance Nelson had it he lost it Newman picks it up I believe it was Cobb to knocked it out of the arms of Reggie Nelson they initially said touchdown now they're bringing everybody back but it didn't look like anybody was down on any of the replays we show the ball came out early there's no doubt about the fumble the question has to be about the return and now the officials and this group has been congregating quite a bit today it's a booth review on the score [Applause] it's also a turnover on the play the ball comes out early and now let's look Nelson's got it Cobb knocks it out and then Newman picks it up and he's gone there are the you look at the field and all the officials are huddled up there trying to sort through all this but figure out exactly what it is that's so unclear to the officials because Nelson has it there the ball comes out that's a bumble with Newman picking it up claim here's the situation however the fourth down from those rules only apply to the offense therefore the recovery in advance by Cincinnati is legal the result is a touchdown Mike I guess the officials were getting together because of the fourth down fumble rules the inside two minute fumble rolls but as we just heard from clean it applies only to the offense is that what you saw back there absolutely this is the one you'll see on the test every year fourth down fumble rules do not apply to the defensive team unless it's inside of two minutes then it applies to both teams but outside of two minutes it does not apply to the defensive team so this is a legal and illegal recovery and advanced by the Bengals and in the end it's Terrence Neumann taking a down field on the return after the fumble each side has four turnovers now and Terrence Neumann with a 58-yard touchdown return and remember that all followed the successful challenge by Marvin Lewis on what was initially Rule two first down carry Jonathan Franklin with a fumble bob was marked just shy of the first down Franklin commits the fumble and now the Green Bay offense back to the field down four the NFL in all 32 teams is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month visit nfl.com slash Hispanic heritage to hear the personal stories of Hispanic players in the NFL this game has been crazy now under four to play each side with two timeouts and it's up to Aaron Rodgers with the rookie running back Johnathan Franklin had just committed the bumble was returned 58 yards for a touchdown there it's Newman getting the score [Applause] gets it back [Applause] Cincinnati Lederle 14 - not the Green Bay then scored 30 unanswered let 3214 now send the highlights in the second half the touchdown by jonathan franklin the touchdown threaded james jones a 3214 lead and a touchdown to AJ Green Cincinnati coming back the corner of the end zone to Marvin Jones and then after a stop on fourth and inches the returned by Terrence Newman Cincinnati up by four key injuries Finley's alley the concussion game starts and me Clay Matthews a hamstring let's go my stop an account picks up seven well who would you rather have on the road down by for the number 12 for Green Bay if he can be protected he's got two timeouts in his pocket under three and a half to play proof of 480 last week under 200 so far today Franklin's going to get the first down five-yard carry beluga on the tackle for Cincinnati that is the good thing about it for the Packers Joe with just over three minutes to play they they don't have to be in any bigger rush than they are on any other type of possession they still run the football of Franklin if they choose to do that okay michael finley couldn't get out of bounds but on first down he picks up seven perfect on the tackle what is a four-point game [Applause] hackers went 44 games without a running back having a 100 yard day they now have one and back-to-back games neither by a guy who started the ball game Franklin over one second three masks off that table and Taylor is going to get out of bow for the first down Dunlap on the tackle Oh catch and run of eight it's that play we've seen over the years especially when the Packers get into the red zone that they'll block the outside guy that get the ball out of Rhonda's hands quickly but then there's no flat support defender to make the tackle once that guy catches the ball [Applause] they're on the ground with Franklin and he ran into a law that was Gil berry Wallace made the play a gain of two and he met the rookie Jonathan Franklin right in the hole it's a two-minute warning in Cincinnati four-point game take a break come back for the exciting finish after this it's been some a crazy day here in Cincinnati Jonathon Franklin got his ankle twisted on that last two yard carry as you see it down here at the bottom of the pile he limped off we're down to no healthy running backs unless you count Randall Cobb now Ross starts this play in the backfield on second today this one padded down there let it drop [Applause] carlos dunlop just got his hands up to bat down and aaron rodgers pass we welcome a new audience this has been an unbelievable game Green Bay now with the football down by four under two to go Dunlap knocked it away and now a big third down for the Packers and now Aaron Rodgers is having to try to explain things to Jeremy Ross me Bhaskar [Applause] Glaus who fumbled on a kickoff early then led directly to seven points for the Bengals gets eight to first down here well this is what I was talking about a little bit earlier they leapt they released Jordy Nelson up the field but he's immediately a blocker so the guy who would be handling that area of the field that flat support defender is being blocked and he's not able to come up and make a play the packers run that a lot and they're very effective using it each of the last two plays in the backfield if you're just joining us lacy out of the confession starts left in this game within the Franklin with an ankle moments ago is out with a bad hamstring and now Jonathan Franklin checks back in good news for the Packers well it is it affects a lot of the things you're doing we're seeing that with Jeremy Ross you essentially have to go empty set formations offensively unless you're going to have Randall Cobb back there in protection so right now I'd have to believe with the knee and what we saw he hobbled off on one leg that they've got him in to help with protection second down and ten Rogers [Applause] and Nelson he catches everything he'd get some delivering they're not a place you can put a ball majority Nelson can't adjust to it and make a big catch I mean Terrence Newman got turned around but he was able to recover very well and he was in great coverage on Jordy Nelson Aaron Rodgers lays it the only place he can and out Jordy Nelson is able to that kind of play yet we've seen it many many times [Applause] first down at the 25 this one for Jones Jones defending second and ten a minute 34 time really not a factor for Green Bay with two timeouts left there's plenty of time for Green Bay but no earlier has said well they can still run the ball with Franklin if they choose to do that Franklin's still in the game and on the play where I thought he came in to help with protection he released immediately on a check down so maybe in the knees not bothering him as it appeared when he left the field that knee or ankle one of the two second down in town [Applause] Rogers as Nelson and Nelson out-of-bounds inches inside the 20 days first about a gain of five with a minute 29 left Packers have a bye week next week and they are going to need it to try and get healthy specifically at the running back position medical staff he'll be put in some long hours next week during that five week trying to get this group healthier than they've been through the first three weeks they're done in five [Applause] everybody coming passes that attack and now for town [Applause] pretty good look there by Mike Zimmer show pressure they bail out at the last minute but there's nobody in the middle of the field Rogers trying to throw the quick out round to Randall Cobb you see the pressure and nobody then in the middle but because of what was called - had nobody taking advantage at the middle of the field Dunlap made that play now for [Applause] you could go a long time covering NFL games and not see an NFL game like the one we've witnessed here today I mean where do you start there's been you know kind of hard to get your arms around everything that's occurred here today I mean we've seen plays on both sides of the ball we've seen penalties we've seen turnovers and offenses going back and forth it really has been a pretty exciting ball game and it stands to reason that now it comes down to this fourth down play yeah that's the crazy thing about this game we've seen each side with four turnovers we've seen points run off on the other side's defense unanswered and now really which one of these teams comes out of here with a two-in-one record depends on potentially one play at least at the moment it's fourth and five and now Cincinnati will answer with a timeout with that we'll go to Kurt for a game break and with this believe your eyes the Cleveland Browns traded trip Richardson this week hey looks like they knew what they were doing can't Jordan Cameron and his third touchdown resection of the day Brian Hoyer has thrown three and with four seconds left they lead it in Minnesota 3127 Joe join fair no whedon no Richardson and yet possible road win for Cleveland their first of the year meanwhile we've seen timeouts traded here and we know now the next time they line it up we're going to see that fourth spot well and keep an eye on it because on the third down play as I pointed out Mike Zimmer decided to you know matchup outside then bail out try to double the slot receiver with no safety in the middle of the field that last look they showed a look where they were going to bring pressure no safety in the middle of the field the Packers had a chance to look at that now the last two down we'll see what the bangles try to do here on fourth down endless tips never complains Cincinnati takes over Michael Johnson made the play [Applause] here today it gave a different look defensively when you're getting the ball out quick as Rodgers was in Michael Johnson at six seven got him and get him on the ground but he's able to get up and get his hands in the air and deflect the pass on a big fort down for the Cincinnati Bengals to win this ballgame the Bengals will of 14 to nothing lead fell behind by 16 as Green Bay put up 30 straight points but now Cincinnati has scored the final 20 and it appears that it will end 34 30 Cincinnati the Bengals will go to 2 & 1 the Packers will limp into their bye week physically beaten up and 1 & 2 well it wasn't pretty it wasn't pretty for the Bengals to get this win it wouldn't have been pretty if the Packers were able to get this win but it's a victory nevertheless and you're right I mean this bye week at an early time in the season the fourth week of the season comes at an opportune time for the Green Bay Packers from try to get healthy because they've got a lot of key guys that have not been on the field whether it's through the first three weeks and guys who left the game here today include and play Matthew and Troy this game turned on a Cincinnati challenge by marvin lewis and his spot of the football as initially the officials said Randall Cobb got enough for a first down they remesh they moved it back half a yard Johnathan Franklin with a fumble returned by Terrence Neumann for the go ahead points and the victory bonus coverage coming up of a game between Detroit and Washington dick Stockton Ronde Barber are there this crazy game is over as the Bengals win it waffle
