[Music] [Music] [Music] as mr. Jeter is able to abled and today we're going to talk about my 2013 can-am Spyder RSS I want to go over a few mods that I'm done through it in the first mod I'll go over is the heat campaign mod these scoops right there to not come stock on the 2013 they started making those 2014 through 2016 which is the last year they produced these and the reason for that is anything 2013 envelope had flat fenders it needs we get really hot the motor would get hot it would just get really hot idle there was no way for that hot air to really push out of there so they said ok 2014 they redesigned these things and if you were lucky enough be RP with authorize a claim filed by your local dealership that will give you these things for free and it's not just if it's not just a scoops you also get this part too with the headlight or I'm sorry the scoop or some guys have fog lights in there but Sienna Benton for piece of the plastic there come painting it to whatever om color you spider came with based on your VIN number and you get the inner heat shields that gets get glued into the inside of the scoops so that was a free mod and it made a huge huge difference on my knees on performance on staying cool on the look pretty much could have been happier that is by far the best thing that the RP has done and as one of my favourite mods on this bike trike well motorcycle okay alright now next one what are we talking here ultra sport windshields so this little guy is another favorite mod of mine right there and the reason why I like that is not only the looks but also when you ride it tends to push up against me so easier for me to set up right I don't have to pretty much hold myself as much or what time does it form you know I really like that feeling with a wind pushing against you makes you feel like you're gone faster and it feels like somebody's constantly kind of like hugging you so to speak but gently and you feel the bike more or the motorcycle wetter so another awesome mod is tinted it's 48 it looks cool and if you look on ebay you can save yourself some money alright next mod is the air Hawk cushion which is back here it is that so it's just an air question to allow me to be able to ride in longer distances without getting a sore my butt sores are no fun people on wheelchairs of the sort could spend three to six months in bed Plus surgery no fun so anything to minimize skin damage anywhere I could put hair I do even though it's not the most reliable however this cushion has been good and it doesn't take long to dump that in a bucket of water figure out where the hole is and fix it on your own with a repair tape now another one is the ISCI handbrake that is on these handlebars over here and that was the only mod that allowed me to actually ride this thing otherwise well have a know you see your feet over your legs you can't exactly break and these things came with one brake foot brake pedal that axe rates all three brakes and nothing on on ahead of ours so it's a nice addition makes it look more like a normal motorcycle and it allows me to use my hands to control this thing so what else we ended up doing a handlebar riser it's a really slight not that pretty much Rises handlebars about an inch making it seem because it's a little bit more comfortable for my back and my wrists longer distance riding that kind of thing makes a big difference even one inch makes a difference one of the last but not least the crap of its exhaust so that is my ultimately favorite mod I mean they're only favorite but this one is really really favorite not only it looks but the sound is incredible I mean this thing before I pull the baffles and the exhaust on would sound like a sewing machine the school for a while yes you can get to go explore to hear yourself talk and think and all that but at the end of the day it's a thousand CC machine that sounds like a 200 at most sounds like a scooter so unacceptable and should came that way from the factory but okay I get it not everybody likes it loud so that's how you get two options you get to pull the baffles or you get to keep them in from the kept them in for a wild road about a month that way liked it cool did have the bottom insert a lost tuppence or a game it seemed like acceleration up top but locked lot down it and at the bottom didn't like the feeling at all just as far as stocks I went ahead and pulled it back holes and I was the best thing and it totally woke this thing out made a cloud made it deep and the downshift in detail Oh going through the canyons through the twisties that sounds a half I will set up my mic and I'll take you guys for a spin so you can truly hear the saying outside of just I'll because you know all those sounds good I'll not return home actually we're off throttle at eight nine thousand rpm and desalted the tunnels are down some steep winding road incline is just unbelievable alright so some odds that I bought in did not end up keeping I ended up buying one of those ovm cargo racks it was on sale on Amazon it's super cheap compare the other ones the silver one was like a third of the port of the price so I was like okay cool I mean how bad can it be maybe I can mount it wheelchair to it maybe not we'll figure it out when it gets here when it got here I felt the bars of Sully they sent me some workout weight so they put a what's in this box now open it up in no joke that thing weighs probably 30 to 40 pounds maybe even more I don't know but I said no I'm not putting out weight on this thing I'm not going to put that much weight on the bike when I was just bragging about losing like twelve or fourteen pounds of whatnot with the upgraded exhaust from the factory on the other video so why would I go and put another thirty thirty-five pounds of additional weight in the back of the bike no thank you so I returned it got my refund no no hard feelings it is what it is it looks cool I still like the look of it on other spiders I just for me it's about keeping this thing as light as possible alright so I do this like a large windscreen the windscreen that came on that is no longer I took it off the end of getting the sporty one much better talk my girl into lighting as well she didn't like it at first after a few rides she got used to it and now she doesn't even bring it up so hey I I love it I don't see myself ever going back to the big one alright horsepower to stand 100 horsepower at 7500 rpm towards that 85,000 it does come with a 6.6 gallon tank with one gallon reserve you get twelve gallons of storage in here too we won you can put it in there you can put some groceries we've even put ice cream in this thing and made it home without it melting beside the point when you go on out and you're going exploring extra space extra storage is always good to have and what's good about this is its internal storage not external storage meaning you're not having some bulky in a luggage box or whatever those things are called sticking off your cellular motorcycle or the back you motorcycle yet again adding more weight adding more bold and cost more money to get it this is free inclusive twelve gallons of storage added seven hundred ninety eight pounds not too bad considering some parties that are over that and some of the Goulding's I believe are over that so for a trike not too bad alright if those of you wondering offended if you feel control or no I do not am I having problems you know I'm not the reason why is because I did not do a high floor air filter I kept the stock one just replace it every soft and keep it clean you don't need a high flow on there's so many arguments online about it letting more stand into your engine whether that's true or not I don't care unless I was to get a field controller and dyno tune is I'm not going to do any more mods that will potentially make this run lead so having said that keeping the factory air filter and the factory tuned is plenty enough for to adjust to just a slip-on exhaust and needing a twenty two hundred feet that helps even more it is it back prime no is it poppin no but it does Rumble on diesel which sounds incredible so let's go over some pros some of the pros are storage torque you can ride - that's really important to me my girl and we'll ride together something I would never be able to do on a street bike nor ever attempt to it's a safer alternative in my case because I don't have to worry about the clutch and I don't have to worry about it falling over landing gear failing as it has already only on the two wheeler so definitely safer alternative obviously it's not for everybody but it feels a lot I feel a lot more comfortable on it and I feel a lot more comfortable having a passenger on it with me without having anxiety about Bingaman and risk or Appice can't fall over obviously so that's one guarantee unless you crash them to a tree or somehow roll it well this thing will never fall over on its own no matter what you never going to be able to drop it you're never going to build a low-sided high-sided whatever yes you could spin out yes you can crash well that's a given of anything on wheels but at least you're kind of guaranteed not to ever drop this thing it is a motorcycle but it is not a bike so yes it is a motorcycle it does have each wing 998 CC Rotax engine that loves to be roped a lot of guys at foot well over hundred thousand miles on these I know that has over 50 thousand that's just been beating the living crap out of it so these motors can take it they like to be around air water cooled liquid cooled it does come stock this particular model that's going to start with the Fox podium shocks which is awesome because the cruise control gauges and awesome features it does have a sequential tronic transmission that has reversed so it's basically a manual without a clutch full with an electronical control clutch but you do have to ship it will down shift for you to prevent it from stalling but you're free to downshift whenever you want and it will stay in gear for as long as you need it to it will not up shift on its own have to option that yourself and it does come with Brembos for the four piston calipers and 270 millimeter brace pretty impressive for something this size it stops on a dime and happened at is CI and control brake system on this does not interfere with the factory foot brake or the way the way to store the brake distribution is set up on this that is not interfere with any of that which is the beauty about it and it is hydraulic does have a master in the slave so it's not cable which means you don't have to push as hard I'm pretty much about this thing to replace a two wheeler to be safe to still be able to ride and enjoy anything to somebody want a motorcycle would enjoy - the leaning I understand a root split lanes which I'm not a fan of that anyway not that I'm not a fan of leading but I'm not a fan of splitting legs never really cared for that you don't even have to do that out here in the backcountry so I'm not really missing out on that but I am missing out maybe I'm leading which in a way kind of scares the crap out of me being in the chair more used to quads and I feel really comfortable on quad so this is a lot more comfortable for me to write out a lot of people that ride this I'll give you guys a tip don't get discouraged if you don't like it the first couple of times it does take time we've used to it takes time to get used to it and the harder you grip the less control you have so you have to relax your wrist you have to relax your forearms you have to just kind of let that thing do kinda let it do thing and it just got it with your shoulder slide you just lean slightly left and right to make slight Corrections and you'll get a hang of it in no time most people grip group these things for a lot of em they start them you're having that wobbling and if there is anything like that that's all due to poor tires or poor alignment these things should not have any kind of wobble that should not go all over the place tissue you should keep the road they should stick to the road pretty damn good we're not going to start it tonight I will take you guys out for a spin later through the canyons to really let you hear the exhaust for those of you that are wondering what it sounds like without the baffle so for now just split the video from the other day that I video to just it running at idle so those of you that are curious to Stuart to hear what it sounds like at idle that will I put that at the end of this video and those that are wondering this cord down here this wire were right down here that's a trickle charger say I have a triple charging at all times I have a little pigtail that base Powersports put in for me at no charge which was really cool and they were the ones that did Mikey campaign by the way that is there are awesome doing other stuff if you guys ever need to find a good motorcycle shop in San Diego area these power sports is the place to go so hope you guys enjoyed this video I'm sorry the lighting isn't the greatest thing I thought um enough lights in this garage but apparently I'm still having to run iso 800 in them underexposed by a couple of two or three stops so didn't want to crank eyes so any higher so hopefully this video turns out hopefully the sound is good I think that's all I have I love this thing I mean this is freedom for those of you that are in a wheelchair or disabled or for or just not really comfortable with the two wheeler or afraid of dropping it like my girlfriend is for ten for example even a Honda Grom is too big for her so for her to ride she would literally have to ride a pocket bike or one of these I mean that's kind of a no-brainer so these are street legal in California don't need a motorcycle license for these which is another benefit to those either disabled don't want to deal with DMV this is perfect you as long as you have a driver's license you're free to ride these with legally in a state of health in other states I could not vouch for that also I did fail to mention these models didn't come with a lot of driving aids such as electronic stability control electronic power steering there is traction control so there's all sorts of different driving aids or writing aids that will help you in case you were to lose control and they tend to be a lot safer for those that have never ridden or they're barely maybe starting out or those of you that are disabled in can't handle a full-on street bike so yeah these things were made for those of us that want to get out there want to experience what it feels like to ride and yes it is a motorcycle but it's not a bike it doesn't feel anything like a bike but it feels fun going down wherever you want to go alright take care guys [Music] [Music] you [Music]
