up to the minute in the NFC East billion Dallas buying for first place Giants lose to San Diego today Washington loses to Atlanta today well the guy who will have his hands full tonight is the seventh year quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys Terrence Newman as he tries to help shut down the Eagle attack Terrence Newman with Andrea Kramer what turns wait this could be the best set of receivers donovan mcnabb has ever had so what's the key to defending play offense the big thing we have to do is stop the run first and you know we got to get people around him try to get him to move out to his left and force Aaron throws last game of last season to decide the NFC's final player for you get before six changes you know just the fact that that game meant us going to the playoffs and we got whooped - I mean they did everything that they came out you know and said they wanted to do to us they did that to us so you know we want to just focus on what we have this year write a whole new chapter of the book and kind of move on [Music] [Music] Philadelphia will spend four of its next five weeks on the road they go to San Diego next week so we'll see if Westbrook comes back then acres ready to kick off for Philadelphia Dallas will get the ball beautiful shot Lincoln Financial Field across the parking lot [Applause] we're the Philadelphia Phillies in New York Yankees met in the World Series last week and there's dynamic [Music] [Applause] a beautiful light as Felix Jones takes it on the five-yard line to the 22 and take a look now at the data starting Tony Romo Eastern Illinois Mary Bob with a third Minnesota Roy Williams Texas Miles Austin mom Jason Witten Tennessee ourselves Bennett takes in Louisville albums for Michigan State Kyle Kosar Arizona State under a drawer Colorado Leonard Davis touch by Columbo Boston College Austin the suttas star [Applause] they start with a double tight end set and make it three tight ends now that's Whitney to the white we headed rushing attack for a gain of two so Tony Romo right now has been hot over the last three games he has not thrown in interception and he's the first cowboy player since 71 with eight touchdowns and no kicks over a three-game span second down and Ares awesome bottom of the screen [Music] [Applause] the passes incomplete in the coverage on miles Austin is provided by the off pro Asante Samuel in his seventh year and his second year is an eagle after five seasons at New England you better be careful your own throat one against number 22 Asante Samuel he jumped one in the last game for a touchdown and with the football on that side we'll put six points on the board [Applause] this time they said walked into the left side and bring to the right side and discharge choices in the backfield flanking them billion it's nickel they bring Bennett now and for extra fast protection and it is put on a slant by Williams and Roy Williams up to the 44 yard line so they convert on the 3rd and 8th 20 yard gain Quentin Michael the safety makes the sod well they shifted coverages right at the end Sean Jones is going to come up here on the Blitz and it left a void in behind Romo saw it and just fired it right where Jones left big play for Roy Williams who's been looking to make some he was pretty disappointed this week he thought that some of the throws that Romo was making to Miles Austin were a little better than the ones that he was getting holy his 15th catch of the season crashing he gets a budget wait look to avoid him infers and parking on the right got into his face and plancha just a single receiver route to this side and Tony Romo took a look and just didn't like what he saw there was nothing there to play Parker put him on his back seven yards back and that makes it second down and seventeen [Applause] back in the game they have armor they'e Felix Jones and choice call at running back second and 17 and they set up a screen but no incomplete even hadn't been caught by Bennett would have been a minimal gain Hakim Jordan with the coverage let's take a look at the Eagle defensive starters play parking Oklahoma State my passing D Southern California bungling Florida State University Trent Cole Cincinnati Moses vocal Mary will Witherspoon Georgia James went Asante Center UCF Knights with Michael Boise State Shawn Jones George Sheldon Brown South Carolina [Music] and that defense right has put the hours in the 17 they show bliss here they come up the middle Roma has to escape they throw a scream get back to the 46 yard line it'll be fourth down and nine Shawn Jones making the stop and Dallas the punt well so far the Eagles on almost every snap now have been bringing this double-barrel blitz right up the middle they have no fear when it's second at about 15 they're gonna make Tony Romo make a play dump it all for a screen make the tackle pretty routine [Applause] but briar is the Dallas kicker and the ever dangerous DeSean Jackson stands back at the 10-yard line [Applause] wobbly kick that bounds out-of-bounds at the 20-yard line and that's where McNay of and history will go to work 12 21 left in the opening quarter battle for first place [Music] Sunday Night Football brought to you by Southwest Airlines go to Southwest comm grab your bag it's on by spread official wireless service sponsor of the NFL by the Lexus LS line with 12 world's first innovations and by Budweiser hosting sleeps in tonight's game and proud to serve Zoe's the scene on Friday over the Nova Care Center the Eagle training complex which is across Broad Street the USS New Jersey anchor here in New Jersey across the [Applause] Delaware River [Applause] [Music] the troops on Friday asmik dance first play is a pass intended for Jeremy Maclin the rookie out of Missouri and that is incomplete it'll be second down and ten McNabb on opening day leading the team to a win at Carolina but getting hurt late in the game cracking a couple of ribs missing a couple of games then comes back after the bye week and so far Donovan off to a very good start this season he like Romo with a long string of passes without an interception well into three figures he's running back as LeSean McCoy number two picks out of mr. spreads himself to the right and Terrence Newman almost had effect and new makes a soccer kick toward the end zone and will probably get a delay of the game penalty here it's been like kind of back to the play delay of game 41 state damn five-yard penalty that's one of those few defensive fouls that is not an automatic first down just a five-yard penalty Neumann in frustration Terrence Neumann saw this when all the way had a routine interception and it was just there and where's dropkicks you know it was pretty good I like that yeah about a 30 yarder it turned into a five yard [Applause] five now [Applause] five receivers [Applause] his hands and then Jerald sensible some exam would have had the first down and the pass is off the hands of Jeremy Maclin and intercepted by sensible where we told you about all the good young receivers on this football team Jeremy Maclin has been making a lot of plays but this one is fairly routine and you just gift-wrapped an interception and for McNab Yves got about four straight games without throwing one and unfortunately football doesn't have an official score that one would have not been given to him talk about a kibosh we talked about the streak of passes without an interception so that's mcdhh and his last 119 throws Wildcat down that's choice taking the snap and choice [Applause] very close to picking up a first down and there's a flag down Bowman is the referee so the Cowboys bring out the Wildcat three minutes into the game but Deon Anderson the full-back dyani Anderson made a nice block but in trying to finish this block he's going to sling the defender to the ground and that's when he got the holding call he's in perfect position doesn't need to do this but as he took Moses focu to the ground they got the hole the costs in the 10 yard gain it makes it a first down in 20 at the 47 yard line the running back in this set [Applause] at the play fake Wilma dumps it to Barbour nice move to the outside and Barbara gets it to the 35 yard line Enid 12 of a block from John Phillips rookie tight end and it'll make it second down and eight well these two big guys inside right here are typically run down players but now they're in here and they're gonna get some pressure for Mike Patterson that's about as good a pass rush move as I've ever seen him have and Tony Romo with a little jumper out of there and he picked up about half of it Shiina dropkick a jump pass there brought everything tonight Barbara the Eagles have had a lot of problems especially with injuries amongst their linebackers core they lost Stuart Bradley their middle linebacker before the season he is on injured reserve Omar Gaither is also a need to reserve the new defensive coordinator right there is Shawn McDermott taking over for the late Jim Johnson and one of the guys they picked up at the trade deadline was Witherspoon who had been with this is typically a blitz down for the Philadelphia Eagles [Applause] but this time they send only four drops seven in the bank goes to Wynton and he makes the catch he's taken out of bounds by with a spoon but not until he picks up a first down so they were at first in 20 then go to third and six and move the chains you called it exactly al right here you've got Jason Witten and when the blitz doesn't come it frees him up and now he's out there one on one against will Witherspoon and Witherspoon's pretty good in the open field but Jason Witten is one of the best in the league that was impressive to pick up that first down after the holding call [Applause] the leading receiver and they're gonna run a reverse here with Kevin algal tree who come into the game for the first time his first play and he takes the ball of the 18 yard line he is a rookie free agent out of Virginia Oh for the Philadelphia Eagles now their offenses put them in a rare bad spot after an interception and defensively these guys a lot of them have not played together very long moses bunker will Witherspoon Hakeem Jordan the linebackers they probably have three guys that have started at Lineback out of there so some adjusting do second down and cowboy on the turnover and clothes el Adams would figure to be in the middle of it at that time it's Columbo Marc Columbo with the false start number 75 so did Flo's L so big they heard enough of Flo's L on national television but I think Flo's L saw that blitz coming they were bringing safeties ever bringing all the linebackers and he just flinched [Applause] second the nine from the 24-yard line [Applause] protection of time and then the past is a little high for Austin to hang on to off his fingertips the coverage by Sheldon Brown and that makes it third down and nine for Dallas the Eagles got away with a bit of one there there underneath coverage ran into each other we told you there be some getting used to each other out there Moses Volker here is going to turn around that was a spunk drop it was supposed to be by Trent Cole and they just ran into each other so don't underneath beverage but they were still able to make the play but we're taking the spot of the injured Krishna thon [Music] sets up in a slot the fake for choice the pass has been thrown to older tree and all the trees inside the ten and takes them all to the three yard line on his second career reception the Virginia rookie is stopped by Witherspoon big third down conversion in a first and goal to Philadelphia to well as we've seen around the league any time you end up getting a lot of blitz packages to see the Eagles all standing up milling around and one of the answers around the league has been this the flanker screen if you want to fool around in there you want to blitz in the a gap do all that kind of stuff just flip it to the outside pull those offensive linemen when we're seeing some big plays wildcat again discharge joists will take his second snap [Applause] [Music] the touchdown neighbors Pauline opening the hall and he goes and so the Dallas Cowboys cash in on the interception of run by Ogletree a reception by Ogletree and then a wildcat touchdown by choice look at all the offensive linemen here an unbalanced line and the only one left is going to pull back around so they end up with all five offensive linemen going into the hole but what will it was Tashard choice took his time back there a little fake to the right came back and set up the blocks [Music] for the point after after the interception of the deflection what's hands by stencil off they go 37 yards in seven plays music to take a seven nothing lead in Philadelphia the complete Sunday night experience check out Sunday Night Football extra on NBC sports.com and NF lotta great features you can follow engineer sideline on SNS extra they drafted David velar in the fifth round at a USC to be their kick-off guy and so far he's been fabulous 40% of his Becca touchbacks not this one though as takes it and can only bring it out to the 16 yard line before he is forced back almost halfway through the opening quarter it's Philadelphia Cowboys up by a touchdown [Music] quick strike Eagles they have 23 total touchdowns this year 14 if Kevon drives a four or fewer plays and only one drive took ten or more plays eight and two is Andy Reid at home against the Cowboys and overall the 21st game he is coached against the Dallas Cowboys he's 14 and six against Dallas from a 16 yard line rookie running back LeSean McCoy we're a gang of four let's take a look at the evil starters Donovan McNabb circus University with char McCoy Pitt Panthers Minna Weaver Melbourne Florida DeSean Jackson Long Beach finally Jeremy Maggie Mizzou Tigers run sollux insider Jason Peters Arkansas Todd Airman's Saginaw better tomorrow Jackson's Delaware State nikohl in Misco State once in justice Southern Cal [Music] [Applause] fusion acquisitions picked him up in a crate chugging ahead to the middle the full-back go at a 41-yard touchdown run last week 30 short let's take a look at the Dallas deal Marcus beard Louisiana State Jay Ratliff Paul II girl shamsky Oregon Anthony Spencer produced Grady James LSU Keith Brooking Georgia Tech DeMarcus Ware Troy Tanner's lumen Kansas State Gerald sense of all North Carolina can't have the Arkansas Mike deacons South Floyd Jenkins has really come on away it was the number one pick [Applause] in short the fascist off the of Alex Smith the backup tight end and incomplete so it's three and out and Philadelphia to punt probably the most improved area of the Philadelphia Eagles offense this year has been in these third and one situations they've had success running the ball so they anticipated that the Cowboys were going to bring pressure they come with the bootleg and just missed the pass that's a pretty routine throw and Donovan mr. Nance starts to gain old for for an intersection salve Wacha to punch [Music] punch back four touchdowns in each of the last two games and he is dropped at the 42 yard line 621 left in the opening corner 7 to nothing Cowboys Oh Jay I'm not sure you know this is jino that I won the 1980 Monaco Grand Prix you know that time of years set a pretty lofty standard if he's going to be slower than that one capacities got a DUI he was faster than I was for the 41 yard line Felix Jones is the running back as bad as Wiggins this Drive has then a get spun down the pass is incomplete intended for Deon Anderson and it will be second down and 10 take a look at this - Roy Williams and there's been a lot made of that around Dallas this week Romo's reading is 70 7.62 all other receivers it's 114 into Miles Austin 135 which is the highest in the NFL and of course much as I say was made in the Metroplex this week they get to that in the second is one [Applause] [Music] Chris your receiver a great one for a number of years in the National Football League so what's the deal here is it wrong on not getting the ball where Williams needs it or Williams not running the routes that Romo needs to have run for well it's pretty obvious when you put on the film Romo just doesn't know where he's going to be Roy Williams and while he has great confidence you can see in adjacent Witten and is developing confidence in Miles Austin there have just been too many times this year that Romo is throwing it somewhere somewhere else never come off the same side the right side but short of the first down so Witten who needed six yards is only able to get five he was right there by the marker uncharacteristic of wit and lot to get to the marker for a first down in his fourth down and the punting group comes in well it was interesting that time was Witten decided to go with an overhand catch but in order to make that one he had to go to the ground if he just put his hands down the other way he could catch it and turn and make a run but he short of the first down marker Briar into punt for the second time DeSean Jackson to run made by Jackson in the 15 yard line with 502 left in the opening quarter in Philly seven to nothing Dallas [Music] at Community College debates you never know what will happen the new comedy communities and check it out on Thursday maybe for the Pacific seven central and mountain time right here on NBC our museum David of course he of the steps [Applause] they run a slant rookie picks up a first down up at the 30-yard line he's tackled by the cornerback Mike Jenkins Mike Jenkins playing so far off I mean this has to be a 1012 yards off and Donovan sees it and Macklin sees it and just says thank you very much that's just routine on the outside if you're going to give that kind of a cushion Jenkins has really been playing well but [Applause] [Music] completion of the nighties [Applause] protection and run out of bounds at the 29-yard line that's going to be a loss of a yard or two and he's run out by Keith Brooking Jason Peters who came over in a trade from Buffalo right here does a heck of a job on one of the great pass rushers in the league this time DeMarcus Ware if they can get that kind of protection out of him he's made a few mistakes during the past few weeks not exactly knowing where to go some of the adjustments in this offense but athletically this guy's as gifted as just about anybody playing the left tackle position it's going to be a great matchup tonight Thomas and John one worthy [Applause] many seasons with the ago so [Music] it's taken down by entities vitiates himself and Jason Peters is down just talking about Jason Peters and there he is on the turf what's Jay Ratliff here they've made so many changes to this offensive line but Jay Ratliff is really going to end up being no match for some of these guys in a one-on-one situations he truly has been one of the more exciting pass rushers around but this is big news right now Jason Peters because of all the injuries they've had at the tackle position this is significant injury timeout big blow for the Philadelphia Eagles Jason Peters acquired in that trade with Buffalo in the offseason and here's how it happened say Ratliff got mcnabb and he also got Peters falls right on the back of his leg we talked about the significance of this because Shawn Andrews who was supposed to be the right tackle this year is already on IR Winston Justus playing there [Music] left guard two left halfway on the floor - such a good herding he takes it out [Applause] to the 38 he's tackled by Hamlin sure to the first down wall Coleman will make the call [Music] illegal formation 79 offense not lined up on the line of scrimmage five-yard penalty fill third down is it that that's really interesting they move Harriman's from left guard to left tackle and he doesn't line up on the line yeah he's gonna try and get the little jump over here and try and get back off the line of scrimmage has to break the beltline of the center or else that's too far back the didn't didn't look too horrible there when you first looked at and 60 tackle sensing the decision by Wade Phillips though because it would have been fourth down but he was rolling the dice a little bit here that his defense can make a play instead of fourth and two he is gonna wind up as about a 4-3-3 almost to Jason Avant makes the catch so spot the ball about the 36 yard line and regardless they're gonna punt here and you know this Dallas Cowboys defense now just keeps making plays the Philadelphia Eagles we documented it on the open one of the most explosive offenses in the league right now and so far they have nothing to show for it in this first quarter his first pot was 41 yards Creighton whose run back punts for touchdowns in the last two games looking for a hat trick [Applause] here they she's going to let it go and instead of going out of bounds which is what he thought it was going to do it stays in bounds and rolls all the way down to the 15-yard line and it comes out as a 48 yard booth with 214 remaining in the quarter last season end of the year here the Eagles win 40 for six largest margin of victory in the series Cowboys largest loss in the division since 1970 and it was just it was a mess and that day started with Philadelphia needing a lot of things to happen including Oakland to be Tampa to even have a chance Chicago losing to Houston old Dallas had to do is win the game end of story you know what it brought about some probably much-needed changes we wonder what would have happened had that been a close game instead of a blowout for the Dallas Cowboys there's millions up to the 27-yard line among the things they did and I'm not saying it's solely because of that game but it was time to get rid of Terrell Owens it was time to get rid of Pacman Jones they turned actually Wade Phillips became the the fact of defensive coordinator he let Brian Stewart know he wants a Huard Philadelphia to make a lot of other changes and you know right now they're five and two so so far so good so far so good [Applause] second year back out of Arkansas is a home run hitter not on that play though it's a ground ball back to the pitcher second down well the Eagles linebackers are not very big guys but boy they can fly check out Hakeem Jordan come around the corner here and is just going to beat Felix Jones in the backfield it is no match the Eagles are no match size-wise for this Dallas offensive line but speed wise [Applause] [Music] second attend final minute of the quarter the tight-end Martellus Bennett covered on the play by Quentin Michael third down and ten for Dallas well until the Dallas Cowboys hit big plays against the Blitz Shawn McDermott is going to go the way of his mentor young Johnson and Keith because right now making the right reeds they're just not making the right McDermott in his first year as the defensive coordinator cowards working with William with Darren Sharper and Mike [Music] 30:10 here come here he goes again they flush Rome alive he gets it away to win it's taken down to the 33-yard line Witherspoon anal when it looked like Witten was getting going to get away when Michael put the pressure on Romo at that time and it's fourth down or you saw Tony Romo pointing left and here's why they're bringing everything off of this side and again forcing Tony Romo to get this throw out of here what the Eagles have done so well tonight that they have not necessarily done well in the mass is make those tackles short of the first down [Applause] Injection will not have a chance to run this one back as its out of bounds at the 18 yard line with 12 seconds remaining in the quarter it's the one thing that we've seen out the Philadelphia Eagles this year though they may not score for a few series and then they may score three straight on or play drives and touchdowns over the top they they lead the National Football League and most plays 20 yards or more and have just been so explosive this year but because they are so young they're also making some mistakes at times like we've already seen on some earlier drives in the quarter to this point they have only one first down they've run ten plays the thirty six yards and they've taped up the left ankle of the left tackle Jason Peters from the 18 the preface by intended for Jeremy Maclin and here well Philly's always a tough crowd it's always a tough crowd but you think back to that Washington game and Donovan through about three balls in the dirt in that one and Andy Reid's always been his biggest supporter but anytime you put on the tape with Donovan McNabb every once while he locks out that front knee and throws one straight down in the ground and we saw one there last week first he drives against the Giants when two touchdowns on a few formation is LeSean McCoy takes it to the 21 and that will take us to the end of the first quarter and Philadelphia with the Dallas the Eagles seven to nothing at Sunday Night Football News after these messages [Music] aerial coverage tonight brought to you by Duracell Al Michaels Chris Collinsworth andrea kramer philadelphia the second Sunday night November this indeed summer can be in London [Music] passes by Jason hood [Applause] what a great catch with good coverage on a third down and six by of on Jason Avant is supposed to be the blocking wide receiver on the outside watch him going against Orlando Scandrick here Scandrick was absolutely perfect coverage and they still get it let's see if he's touched on the way down right there yeah early by Hamlin [Applause] 23-yard game correctly at the 45-yard [Applause] [Music] by one who gets bangs down under another regal first now the Eagles go three receivers off to the right side and SELEX just going to find this open zone since a ball who's been a nice addition at safety a guy that can cover tight in so well but unable to get there that time against Brent Celek and how about Selleck you know he's the guy that we don't talk about that much that tied in but he is given down some option at the tight end position that they ever had and the pass is incomplete that's the Marcus where who has five sacks in his last three games after having none in his first four who comes around the edge and is able to make contact as McNabb releases or this is going to be tough out here you move your left guard out to left tackle and guess who he has to block only the guy with 20 sacks from a season ago DeMarcus Ware and if you're not going to end up giving a little help to todd Harriman's on the outside it's going to be a tough night tonight for Donovan McNabb now starting to bring just enough blitzes before someone on evasions up front in the the bacterial [Applause] [Music] [Applause] the atom in the backfield for no game lost them and the next thing you know it's a 17-yard pickup the juniors say avi is going to meet this one and look like it's going to be for nothing but for LeSean McCoy they have really been on him about don't dance in the hole just hit it hard watch this one this is a beauty arm tackled by a 300 pounder and he just keeps his legs moving and ends up with a big play leadership means they're 18 to the Dallas 18 Westbrook not playing inactive tonight Leonard Weaver with the block donovan mcnabb the veteran 11 years and he's got the kids with him Jackson just 22 black is 21 [Music] and McCoy and in this silic in his third season one receiver deej for daddy bird like a whole new team isn't in a hurry have done a great job through the decade of retune and it's incomplete and the crowd wants a flag and the Eagles do too and there goes Donovan flooring the official 401 as we're got in on the action and its third sure did DeMarcus Ware is going to loop back inside here with the little spin move and he's going to meet right at Donovan McNabb down the field though you're seeing the Eagles receivers having some trouble getting off this bump and run coverage and they sort of all end up in the same spot [Applause] third down and nine from the Cowboys 17 [Applause] yes now and then twist it down a twisting sack by Jane [Applause] and that's Ratliff second sack and the third sack by the Cowboys in the first 18 minutes of the game Stacey Andrews coming back from a serious knee injury is going to have his hands full right there you're starting to see the Cowboys now getting the matchups that they like that time Jay Ratliff who is other than where their best pass rusher inside and I'd say it is tough on offensive linemen regardless but when you're moving all over to new positions where this Eagles line is it's going to be really tough 45 yard attempt in the opening Dallas lead in the Eagles 7/3 [Music] Sunday night football brought to you by 2010 Ram trucks giving tough a smarter name gram by Warner Brothers pictures ninja assassin in theatres everywhere Wednesday November 25th by kayak search one and done and by McDonald's Philadelphia eight night of November not the first place in the NFC East Lincoln Financial Field home of the Eagles since 2003 across the parking lot from the old veteran stadiums abolished 7:3 Dallas [Music] yard-line there's the threat to one level [Applause] a lot of folks who made the acquaintance of one Jim Johnson really miss them of course no more so than here in Philadelphia amongst the organization the players the coaches Jim dying of cancer earlier this year they detected it in the middle of last season and saw McDermott one of his protégées takes over and there's the the JJ on the back of the helmets in the memory of one of the really great guys [Applause] here with the shark choice third time he's done it you know Chris we know all these guys through the years head coaches assistant coaches and personnel people and executives and there was no better guy than Jim Johnson now there really wasn't and Shawn McDermott misses him too he still has a big picture of Jim in his office and he says it's just almost surreal that he's not here so much his mentor and trained Shawn McDermott during the course of his coaching career but he says I still when I walk down the hallway I expect to see him I expect to be able to have a conversation with him but he is very much carried on in Jim's tradition of blitzing and getting after the quarterback very aggressive meanwhile Andre Jerrod the center where the Dallas Cowboys is hurt back in a moment cooker backs of decayed greatness on displays on Sunday night what a beauty that's going to be a week from tonight as we look at the Wildcat - rod goes [Applause] [Music] that's an interesting choice no pun intended here when your sister goes out you bring a new guy in and you start them out with a wild cat snap yeah why not well they couldn't get the the other exchange we saw him out there warming up and Cory Proctor's first nap to Tony Romo they ended up dropping it for Andrei Jerrod he's going to get rolled up right ankle injury some kind [Applause] selected to the Pro Bowl in each of the pants to receivers so they work on it as a quick drop and for a nine-yard gain is will Witherspoon makes the tackle and even give him a first down here as it will spot the ball at the 46 yard line very close to a first down great read that time by Tony Romo he's going to see the middle linebacker try and break underneath here on a blitz read got it to whit and before nothing happening Marion Barber back to the line of scrimmage Italy's second down Marion Barber they like to start the game with him and finish the game in the museum as the pounder and in this field like John's who's the home run hitter if he can stay healthy and then this Tashard choice who we've seen spotted tonight as the wildcat guy says I preached all week long physical physical physical and the [Applause] to get the most mouths and he said I have to remember just to keep rotating in second down and 11 from the 45 [Applause] [Music] fascists complete the proof a very short game up to the 47 take a look at the three backs as we align the the backfield here Barbara with a 4.5 average Jones a fabulous 7.5 average and choice averaging 4.9 let's the Cowboys come into the game as a team averaging five point four yards [Applause] holds the highest [Applause] get away [Applause] and that's one in each of the last three games forum new offensive lineman everywhere now and Jason Pavan is going to take advantage he gets through five down line Eagles and so far the story to the offensive line and the Pence's taken advantage for spud by McGuire Jackson lets it go and it's a good bounce for Dallas and they can down the ball at the 2 yard line flag down back upfield Alan Ball able to down at the 2 and this is a big one because if it's against Philadelphia we're gonna have to punt this thing over instead of getting it on the 2 ineligible downfield part of the past [Applause] repeat for sale Rudeboy very costly [Music] sometimes when those guys up front are unblocked they they forget that they can't go downfield before the things punted they get almost so surprised that nobody's on them they take off the game right there so that would have been a 57-yard be [Applause] that would have been downed at the two yardline [Applause] and do it again and this x axis field at the 7-yard line across the field and out of us he goes at the 16 yard line he was taken over at that spot just about halfway through the second quarter [Music] Cowboys up by 4 the NFL stars shining bright whose the boys worst evils a classic fight [Music] [Music] four teams in the NFC East I mean that all of the rivalries are great I don't know what's number one but a lot of people to make a case for this thing I like here Eagles fans are 60 yard line the Weaver the full-back takes it up for Agena six let's take a look at some of its defensive pressure here Trish well it's been the stars for the Cowboys tomorrow since they at entry to Jason Peters he really too much forethought Harriman's playing tackle and then of course Jay Ratliff the other star they're moving him around they're giving him an [Music] too much and on second down to three now they're gonna give the ball to we board back-to-back carries by the former Seattle Seahawk making it third down and two it was interesting talking to Marty mourning leg a little bit about this offense he said there are two teams out there that we have to run the football against we have no choice when we play the Cowboys and we play the Giants the way that they can rush the passer we have to be able to run the ball and I would think with all the changes of fun it actually would be easier for these guys to one ball throw it off here going why don Ferhat sure here comes the flag Jason Avant asked for and got the flag covered by Allen wool but interference in a first down that was a pretty easy call I thought 20 consonance 20d fans following places part of the piles first down willkommen working both sides of the crowd that I why not hit theatres and around here Alan Ball you see is just gonna lock on to Jason Avant we had no help in behind no safety they came with a safety blitz and he knew be physical there and got so the first play for Mike himself but not very far up to the 30-yard line DeMarcus Ware makes the tackle of course it wasn't the bigger story in the early part of the season for the Eagles signing Vic but in terms of his play he's been used very sparingly and really hasn't done anything of notice yeah he really hasn't and you know he came in here obviously didn't get a chance to train and was about 12 pounds overweight and it's just now playing himself back into his playing weight but we just haven't seen that explosive play out of and it just doesn't look as fast as he when you see one [Applause] the way in the back out in the flat by McCoy and again that's DeMarcus Ware number 94 getting in Donovan's face they're down well I can promise you this won't work LeSean McCoy on the outside guess who he has all by himself now so then they're just gonna try and dump it off so what's really they were doing was almost the screen kind of a look he was just gonna get his hands on him turn around and make the play read but McCoy just dropped it and so far you're seeing them they're missing Brian Westbrook right now hitting last week but half so far tonight stirred in a stepping up stepping away jumping it off and first down Selleck makes the catch and Newman is pointing to where he thinks it should be spotted but the line judge says uh-uh right here Coleman takes a look and he's gonna bring the change in from the other side of the field what a great hit by Terrence Newman on the end of this when you don't expect corners to make this kind of a hit but he may have left him just short of the first down because he didn't give him one inch after this play SELEX a big tight end very physical player but watch this shot not one additional inch after contact very close the ball in his right hand tries to reach out afterwards new and giving away sixty six pounds and that will be first down the official sticks were on the other side of the field so Coleman had to bring those in and it is a first down Brent Celek has become a very popular player here in Philadelphia you can see him after he catches the ball typically he's the one looking for contact he's the guy trying to run someone over but the difference that he is made they have had LJ Smith here for years as the tight end when he is very legitimate pass-catching for us is McCoy getting free 48 yard line before he's finally rady James and he gets a hand from Brian Westbrook on the sideline great job by Alex Smith the blocking tight in he's going to come over here and get this pinned and watch McCoy's set this up he's going to come inside and then bounce it all the way back to the outside we're starting to see some of the things that we saw from him in college very athletic not quite as physical as the bryant westbrook the capable of [Music] they said we've Brookings making it to the 41 yard line we were six feet even and 250 pounds and lining him up as the tailback here yeah I think he's probably as shocked as anybody because the full-back though at 8 475 last week and a big 31 yard touchdown and there is Peters and his left ankle heavily wrapped they took him back for x-rays which I'm going to assume were negative she's back out on the field trying to get it loose and see if he can return to the game second down and five [Applause] mr. McCoy he goes like the one a lot out of the shotgun as they do here and that will be a first now you know I really like what I'm seeing out of LeSean McCoy tonight Stacy Andrews and Jamal Jackson are really making a difference up here sometimes Ratliff can make you look bad in the passing game that you also had the ability sometimes to double-team him and get him off the ball and that time creating just enough space for was on the board [Applause] to check it off underneath and the spot fine McCoy and he's shadowed and tackled by booking here comes Jason Peters back in the game when he was writhing on the ground this is the last thing that I thought we'd see as Peters coming back into the game period much less before the the hand let's see if the Cowboys trying isolate where on the outside you can see though [Applause] for the first few snaps anyway second Adelaide [Applause] by Weber to the 31-yard line I have to admit when I started studying for this game it was a little bit of a feeling of who are these guys watching the Philadelphia Eagles play they're all so young and they're all so determined I mean Weaver's the new fullback McCoy's the new running back Jackson just in his second year Jeremy Maclin a rookie Selleck making a big difference a Titan in two new tackles on the outside and yet somehow they've been able to piece all this together and [Applause] very effective to the extent that are averaging 29 points per game two-minute warning with a third and four coming up on the other side of the break seven to three Cowboys [Applause] [Music] castas here to guide the Suzy turn a halftime show Peyton Manning Colts ain't no next Sunday night they'll be taking on the six and two New England Patriots Giants lose in the final minute to San Diego all coming up at the half [Applause] two minute warning and they run it with McCoy but he stopped three yards shy of the first down by 72 Stephen Bowen and they're gonna send Akers out for a long field goal attempt Stephen Bowen here on the inside is going to end up making the big play coming down and getting that crack timeout taken here by the Dallas Cowboys before a 48-yard field goal attempt [Music] [Applause] [Music] well free music for you a little entertainment pleasure there you know consider us so your jukebox about and the job he's done for the Philadelphia Eagles fourteen and six against the Dallas Cowboys Wendy say when he first got the job here he went over to McDonald's and just a little lady about 80 years of age and came up to me said are you the coach of the Philadelphia Eagles and he said yes ma'am he says well I want you to take the Eagles or take the Cowboys and kick the blankety-blank II but if he looked at her and said BAM you're on I'll go for him and he's done a great job she may have been 80 but she threw some pretty good adjectives in there as well she's good 48-yard attempt by Akers to try to make it a one-point game [Music] that chick is good maid 20 have 7/6 [Music] Tonight Show this week Kelsey Grammer will drop by a soul with Jessica Biel and Jimmy Fallon but the host Troy Polamalu this revealed his safety joining Jimmy late-night comedy right here on NBC Philadelphia [Applause] Oh three or the seventh season of the Eagles have played here and the Dallas Cowboys in seven to six Dallas 1:38 to go in the first half David takes it at the two-yard it's very good taken down at the 20 by Joe Mays McNabb and Reid coming together in 99 not living out of the draft from Syracuse and he hired he was an assistant at Green Bay and 11 and 6 is Donovan and E 14 and 6 over his first 10 years against the Dallas Cowboys the only team in history over 20 games spend so in 14 against the Dallas Cowboys so the rivalry a little one-sided [Applause] when you look over this decade and why the Cowboys haven't been what they hope to be you have to say the Philadelphia Steinem Sherrod is back in the game the center [Applause] intended for Creighton and incomplete second down and 10 at the 19 nice coverage on the outside there by a Jose Leo Hanson didn't get fooled at all by the late move in the comeback and now for Wade Phillips you have to be a little bit careful in your own right you don't want to make it too easy for the Philadelphia get them a chance to take the lead before the half second return [Applause] in the seams Patrick Crayton into Philadelphia territory inside the 30 and finally tripped up at the 19 yard line chasing him was Tracy white the linebacker from behind and that's a gain of 64 yards Tracy white that time was coming all the way across the formation runs into his own guy ins ends up getting knocked off the coverage here you can see winds up leaving I'd open down the field because he ran into his own guy it's the second time we've seen it so far in this white making his first tackle of the night and it's in Jesus Saves of cuts down at least to the moment for the others at the 17 [Music] [Applause] whoopee [Applause] go on Jones the first guy to get in there and that stops the clock with a Dallas timeout with 33 ticks to the half one timeout left for Dallas we designate that at the bottom of the score and at the bottom of the screen there little Morse code action for your credit like it yep and you saw there Tony Romo talking to Patrick Crayton I think Creighton missed the Blitz read that time they brought everybody on the last one and Creighton didn't break it off Romo was looking for him and when he didn't break it off he had no choice but the scrambler second down and 14 you need [Applause] pocket and he frozen to the end for Austin and incomplete and that's handsome getting back there and Abel who batted away at the end santé Samuel said thanks very much oh say leo because right here he is going to run underneath this when never really sees the ball see he was trying to help on the inside but had the presence to not run into miles Austin if miles Austin right here just jumps back into holes in the Oh Hansen he's going to get the ball in the one you inexperience that time by austin Nansen got a little lucky - never turned to see where the ball was get him on the back of the arm third and 14 Austin stole it out of cats tonight 27 seconds remaining of the hand they should have to swing in the he takes it to the floor setting up a first down and goal they have one timeout and they've already called it Roman was going to go up there to spike it but the Cowboys had already called a timeout tremendous job this time by Marc Colombo the right tackle getting out in front of it we talked about it earlier in the first half if they want to try and bring pressure inside all you do is you end up with two on one on the outside or right there you're gonna see Colombo getting out in front of a corner employees got a grip of Jose hippo Hansen and that one is over but this play more than anything the Cowboys have done so far has been effective against that Eagles blitz [Applause] I thought that was interesting at the end of the play Chris he's so Romel going up there he wanted to spike it and now of course the coach can call the timeout so Philips must have called that timeout their last in the problem that you have obviously with that is that you're playing against the top blitzing team in the NFL and the Philadelphia Eagles they send more pressure than any other team and should you get a sack here we're in trouble and I guarantee Oromo saying don't miss a hot read this time guys or I'm in trouble and who saw him saying that exactly to Patrick Crayton as he went by Boston wide left Creighton vocalist watt has got Williams out to the right side [Applause] on first and goal deflected we try to go to Williams which they often do on a three by one setup you go to the guy who's the one Quentin Michael backs it away it'll be second down and goal one thing you noticed watching the Philadelphia Eagles on tape is they only get about three or four yards deep in the end zone and they sort of stop and so the Dallas Cowboys are gonna try and take advantage of that you can see they just don't get very much depth in that time it was Quinton Michaels able to get a hand on it but you see they sort of sit down about three or four yards in the endzone and then expect themselves to be able to go vertical and make plays and almost passed behind William second down and goal for in three by one [Applause] the flag he's covered by Asante Samuel Ramos says a key believed that's not interference that Samuel looked around he might have been able to pick it off after the deflection I heard down I agree with the Cowboys I thought this was pass interference santé Samuel right here see if he hooks on yeah he grabs his arm that's no question could have been a call we can only get one arm up santé Samuel though [Applause] you can't leave it short on the and HP she has no opportunity to spike it so they have to go to the end zone [Applause] escapes us at today's and is lucky that one wasn't picked off he got away with one there he is he gets sacked they don't even have an opportunity for a field goal in all likelihood fourth and goal you know sometimes against Tony Romo it's better to just rush for because he's so confident in his escape ability you'll see just rushes for here but when he holds the ball man he really sent himself for an opportunity for the sack but his athleticism allowed him to get out of there but big job by the Eagles defense and Oldham out of the end zone [Music] the chip shot two yard field goal [Applause] and before the snap for the king first team timeout Philadelphia the 30-second timeout there's one thing to freeze the kicker but it's another thing on a 22-yard at 10:00 go back to that last play and take a look at Jason Witten here because of the pressure and because of the movement Tony Romo just did not see his tight in and typically that's his first look you can see Asante Samuel I believe it was on the outside really jumping this underneath route he probably jumped routes more than anybody else but the pressure just didn't allow him to see Witten Samuel jumps up on Miles Austin and we could see the back of the endzone against these Eagles sometimes is available McGuire puts it down and is just good just inside the left upright a little dicey with four Tech's remaining in the opening half and the Dallas lead is extended to four so Dallas on top by a score of 10 to 6 coming up Wednesday of course is Veterans Day annual holiday November the 11th George Halas was a member of the Navy and both world wars Roger Staubach of course the great cowboy quarterback went to Navy and served in the Rocky Bleier the great Steeler the US Army in Vietnam we can't forget Pat Tillman killed in Afghanistan the best of the best aren't they we bet salute to all the troops all the folks who serve Wednesday Veterans Day [Applause] I've been on a couple the USO tours and it's stunning how young they are I mean they are they look like babies running around their ships but they are so efficient and do their job so well kicked off field at the 32 yard line by Alex Smith and that will take us to halftime into the Hat battle for first in the NFC East the Dallas Cowboys leave the Philadelphia Eagles 10 to 6 coming up on the other side of the break the Toyota halftime show after these messages we're NBC station [Music] the NFL stars are shining bright if the Cowboys versus Sunday night [Music] [Applause] Steve Shack by [Applause] [Music] [Applause] second half foul Michaels Cris Collinsworth dangerous Kramer in Philadelphia that was the only touchdown of the half the big guns coming in and wide out Miles Austin the Sutton star has been thrown two three times tonight and doesn't have a catch John Jackson has been thrown to once and doesn't have a catch coming into the game these guys averaging one two in yards per catch this season Boston leading with a 21-7 average action but is nothing tonight second half kickoff fielded by Ellis across the 40 because maybe the crowd sees the yellow flag in the middle of the field at the 34 yard line [Applause] and Hobbs knows it holding 53 returned to ten yard Finley first it out moisés focu the rookie linebacker out of Maryland so he comes back and there goes Hobbes's would be 96-yard return I think it's gonna be right there it looked like from the other angle that he was pulled down on top of him essentially fukube sort of got run over let's see here if he ends up well if that's the call Curtis Johnson is the cowboy who gets held and I don't think he's going to get him [Applause] so it's one thing it's one thing for a holding pool that sets up a touchdown it's another when you hold and you would have had to touch down anyway it'll be second and ten you have another flag here Keith Brooking was covering on the play wall Coleman [Applause] after a conference lieutenants trucking in there is no file for defensive pass interference [Applause] then your name and that will be sucking down go back again to the run back here right here I think is going to be the call you'll see the arm go around the back and then he's pulled to the ground and that's exactly what was called so it'll be second down and 10 out of the walls the 23 yard line [Applause] never some heat the way and pick up a first night here Alex min 5th year backup tight end out of Stanford picked up as a free agent this offseason with the first down that time they move the tight ends to the outside and the wide receivers to the inside and they're just going to end up hitting them on a slant out here things that a lot of teams like to do now get those big body tight ends on the outside and typically the corners Barna trying to deck from the 35 now first down it off underneath you're looking at Oi taken down at the 40 yard line by Bobby carpenter number 54 check out some figures for the first 30 minutes that was dominating the first quarter in Philadelphia pretty much dominating the second how strange is it to see the Philadelphia Eagles with 70 rushing yards in the Dallas Cowboys with 26 historically those numbers would be flipped under turnovers one the difference in the game is Dallas with that turnover able to cash in for the games on the touchdown McNabb a and a hand on those he gets it away in the dentist era Tori inside the 30 take it down to the 15 during suits again [Music] step there instead it's a 45-yard reception one of the things and Westbrook does best is one the screen pass this time McCoy is going to set it up beautifully kind of runs into his own guy a little bit but McNabb holds on to it as long as he possibly can and ends up making a huge play John Jackson down the field on Terrence Neumann ended up buying about another 40 yards on the play with that block swinging them out 4:45 Weaver is the back [Music] yards to the 12 yard line second down and let's call it six a four yard game any time you do Philadelphia Eagles games you know a screen will be a part of the process at some point I think they're the best screening team in the NFL with Brian Westbrook he has been such a marvelous actor over the years you know aller you know he makes it look like he's blocking in the last second he and Donovan have a little bit of magic and it looks like some of the magics rubbed off on LeSean McCoy now great at deception three minutes into the second half second [Applause] [Music] they favor [Music] [Applause] [Music] after the play in the endzone McNab looks like vintage McNab here [Applause] very close to the line of scrimmage but I think the play was good Brent Celek with a very clever play he was hooked up and the defenders demonstration 18 [Music] lines that line the red line not official but that would be your line of scrimmage and now McNabb was right everything has to be over that line of scrimmage even if your back toe is behind that red line if the ball is behind that red line it is a good play so just they just challenged it they're going to probably lose the challenge but Wade Phillips may be thinking back to last year remember the Eli Manning play where everything was across the line except his hand challenging the ruling on the field beyond the line of scrimmage everything has to be across the line of scrimmage it doesn't appear that it is it's [Music] [Applause] Wade Phillips and Andy Reid and wall Coleman is still looking at it we think and we've been watching it during the commercial break that McNabb is behind the line his right foot will be behind the line of scrimmage unofficially the red line the sticks on the near side are official every part of his body has to be across the line this is very similar to the Eli Manning play right here last year he releases the ball as you can see his foot is still behind the line of scrimmage I'm not seeing anything that overturns this it should stand as a touchdown but we should also say it is a very very close place [Applause] within firms didn't look like Wade was a believer over there yes he rolled his eyes but it a strange rule in many ways because the ball and his entire body was over-the-line his back toe was maybe in its last millisecond on the ground but that's enough great play by a lot of people though McNab Selleck recognizing guys breaking in front of him and just snuck to the back line for the big touchdown for the Eagles see a 96-yard kickoff return negated by a holding call but then are able to move down the field at 45 yard reception by McCoy then the catch by Selleck they with stay in the challenge acres to the extra point and [Applause] as a lien for the first time in the game of 11 minutes and 48 seconds remaining in the third quarter the Philadelphia Eagles leading the Dallas Cowboys 13 to 10 Sunday Night Football being brought to you by Audi engine by Wendy's you know [Music] may 28 and the Coors Light when the mountains burn your beer is as as the Rockies so discipline on this I think that's the kind of discipline that sets me apart so wait a minute I have like every meal when you went when did you have to change this zelich here on this play as Donovan starts to scramble the defenders start to jump in front of him he recognizes it and turns and gets to the back of the endzone and Donovan finds and Donovan said his goal was to try and get Selleck in the Pro Bowl well this one helps you could see Donovan with a great job instead of looking to run he was looking to pass and then avant cam over and lifted SELEX leg is part of a planned celebration and that's why you had the the penalty which means Philadelphia now will kick off from the 15-yard line instead of the 30 [Music] little difference at that game here to this point oh yeah those last years of bathtime [Applause] [Music] [Applause] thirty-six and Alice begins its next drive let's go to the feeling Andria Kramer Andrea well those defense about to come back on the field they were very enthusiastic going in at halftime that they held the Cowboys to a field goal after three attempts from the 4 yard line as the Cowboys offense Wade Phillips very simple they've been blitzing we have to make them pay and so far they haven't made them pay because Austin hasn't made a catch the running game hasn't gotten on track one big cache to Creighton and that's it from the 35-yard line they want to draw they can pay a little bit on the ground an eight-yard gain ii and to remember what Shawn McDermott the Eagles defensive coordinator was telling us yesterday though that their goal was they were going to end up taking away Jason Witten and Miles Austin and so far that's exactly what they've done now unfortunately Creighton and some of these other guys have made plays but he felt like he could win the game if those two guys didn't beat him Creighton's bought only that one pass Williams has caught two passes the 34-yard [Applause] and then if we get third down and one at the cowboy 44 yard line folk who and Bunkley get on the stop [Applause] rodrick monthly perhaps the strongest of the defensive linemen up front they say he's a human bench presser gets into people and can literally just shove them off of him and that time he is working against codes [Applause] barber the back in short yardage and they could Austin denied it and they give it to Marian and he picks up a first down as he gets to the 47 so three straight Barbara runs and that moves to change well this is the change-up off of what they've been running with this unbalanced line typically they've been taking Leonard Davis and pulling him around this way this time they step that way and come back the other way is the Eagles just stunts towards the play they thought was coming Jason Garrett the turned down a couple to hit coaching opportunities in the Opera make the warmer than the past - barber tackled by Samuel at the 48-yard line Philadelphia and then a flag comes in at the end of the play [Applause] for a Sante Samuel great open field tackle II had no help but then he ended up getting in the face of Marion Barber taunting 22 ping fans that's really got to get Andy Reid crazy you have a celebration penalty at the end of a touchdown meaning you have to kick off from the 15 now you have another penalty here well such a great play by Asante but then he's got to do a little wolfin at the end of it and you know he's gonna help him up but he also helped them to 15 yards santé means thank you and Swahili and I think the Cowboys are saying thank you 24 or side thing and I had a hundred languages [Applause] maybe reads using a few other languages right now himself 23 yard line course down [Applause] she's picked [Applause] is into town there control down at the 24-yard line [Applause] that would be the first pick against Romo on his last hundred forty-four passes if personal foul low block 53 but anything first down well that would be focal the receiving team for a low block checkout jason witten right here but it came Jordan this is his toughen assignment as he could have man to man all over the field and the coverage was so tight that Tony Romo had no choice but to try and drop it in over the top he misses by a little bit and Sheldon Brown makes the pick and remember on a change of possession you no longer can block low anytime you end up blocking below the waist and you see it right there that's the foul just one of the things the league is doing now to try and make the game a little bit safer it's focal going wall on the 353 Leonard Davis [Applause] once they begin this it's a 1-yard pick up here for LeSean McCoy drafted in the second round out of the University of Pittsburgh Brian Westbrook missing his second straight game after incurring that concussion when he banged into the knee of London Fletcher in the Monday nighter in Washington there is and very concerned about his future and first time he's had a concussion and you know you wonder about Brian period in terms of you know the fact that when a running back turns 30 it's a new era yeah and it's a new era for concussions as well I think the league and particularly evening [Music] [Applause] by the Sean Jackson averaging 21 yards per reception and that one is good for 21 yards well the one thing that DeSean Jackson will do is scare you deep and Terrence Newman is one of the fastest quarterbacks in the league that you could see when Jackson put his head down and looked like he was going deep Terrence Newman said I'm out of here and that's what Jackson does because he has made so many plays downfield that teams now just assume everything is going to be a deep ball and some of those comebacks end up easy [Applause] hit from behind as he gets it away and it's incomplete is Anthony's Spencer put the heat on him it'll be second down in ten just go back to Brian Westbrook for a minute as we talk to him you could tell that he was definitely concerned these players have been extremely well educated on the effects of concussions now and we've seen the league do so many things to try and eliminate it you know you can't do the helmet to helmet contact can't do shoulder pads and forearms to the helmets no more four-man wedges we're educating the players back when I played out he would have been playing and if you didn't the coach was bent up and then you have to answer the Congress this is McCoy taking it up to the 38 and another penalty [Applause] but in the last couple of years we've seen the league Institute baseline testing [Applause] baseline testing on concussions for all players so that then if you have a concussion they can go back and compare it to what you were before the concussion and begin to get a feel for when you should be able to play again michael vick is going to come into the game now McNabb goes to the sideline this is the second snap that Vick you take tonight second get out of the gun [Music] McCoy it'll be third and two more on Brian let's go to Andrea well yeah one thing that he told me when I spoke with him is that what scares him more than anything is the unknown no one really knows how concussions effected down the road and he talked to a number of current and former players such as bull teammate Brian Dawkins and they really pushed him to be smart about this told me the game isn't worth the future of my mental health his mother told him that - yeah but the one thing Brian wanted us to know was how supportive Andy Reid was he said not only did he put pressure on me he probably went the other way one third and tune is a whistle before the snap as McNabb comes back in first team timeout I Philadelphia 6 and a half left in the third Billy bye 3 [Music] the rivalry of the decade little doubt about that that's been the best rivalry even though it's not inside a division those teams wind up beating it seemingly every year we've got it next Sunday night timeout on 32 spotted LeSean McCoy makes the catch the official comes in and appears ready to put the ball down very close to the first and it should be a first now but it appeared his forward progress had netted him the first down by about a yard yeah that was a very interesting spot here the catch was made at least the yard beyond the first down marker he wasn't contacted and then came back across the line on the outside so the contact doesn't happen until there well you can see if Andy Reid doesn't get the spot he thinks he should get he's ready with the challenge flag the official sticks in the second half on the near side of the field so to bring him across the field is Jodi Camillus who's done a fabulous job as the new special teams coordinator in Dallas confers with with Wade if contact was made it would have been at that point and you could have called forward progress to mark him down but if contact wasn't made and I can't tell if it is or not this close he got it about right and look at that they're going to be a little bit short now do you want a challenge if you're Andy Reed will you be able to get the three millimeters you need on a replay well he's gonna take a chance I don't know how you figure out where you're gonna move the ball after you look at the replay I couldn't tell by the angles that we had whether or not contact was made that would have given him the first down normally challenges are pretty conclusive after you look at them number of times I'm not sure this one is going to be you don't want to get a laser [Music] [Applause] a big call nonetheless either a first out of 40 and they sure taking a look at this and we'll show you before walk Holmen makes the call here as it turns out the Eagles might even lose more yardage here because he makes the catch McCoy but when does James touch him remember he's on his own here and until James touches him it's a live ball the ball is moving even though it's moving back toward the Philadelphia goal line so he finally gets touched there which means they're gonna spot the ball back at about the 42 and a half yard line which means Andy Reed in effect is gonna win the challenge but he's gonna lose the war here and he's gonna set put himself in a situation where instead of needing an inch he needs a yard right which now probably means the punt team instead of the possibility of going for those right and he's well he's I say he's gonna win the challenge when the battle loses the war cryptically here because but he's gonna do they're gonna move the ball but it's gonna cost them a time out because he sneeze his challenges that it's going to be spotted at a point where he's gonna get a first down which is not gonna be the case then the koi really did his job he went about four yards beyond the first down marker but he needed to catch it and go the other way remember you can piece replays together yep after again the play really all the fielders confirmed the Racine little Sherman Philadelphia will be charged for their second interesting they're keeping that same spot yeah well they're saying that the ruling on the field stands when in effect that could still move it back at least several inches yeah and by not doing that now the Eagles look like they're going to go or at least try to draw them offside [Applause] so that costs Philadelphia the timeout they've already used to in this half what was not ready for play yet so the Eagles are down to one timeout with 21 minutes left in the game [Applause] so last year a lot of trouble converting in these situations will they either go for it or just try to draw more and this contact alone the line I'm in a full start on Philadelphia [Applause] don't start 71 [Applause] Jason Peters I'm so surprised that the Eagles didn't snap the ball Jamal Jackson had them offsides oh yes do snap the ball if they're going to have the first down watch the Cowboys are going to jump snap it and now none of these linemen ended up moving but Jason Peters on the other side flinches and that does not you jump and then I react will because it happened on the other side - and Walker will kick and a fair catch is called foreign made by Creighton at the 20-yard line six [Music] [Music] with Tony Rojo some of the expressions tonight a lot of frustration he saw 100 Lane with no touchdowns one pick kitchen at the 19 [Music] loses the football but it's down he's down by contact with possession at the 23 yard line what a tackle by Asante Samuel and he's down Asante Samuel coming up almost creating a fumble and the pro-bowl cornerback is down this is not a dream scenario big john phillips coming out in Asante Samuel just went low and managed to get the tackle and I think Jones just kicks them in the head [Applause] and really ends up injuring Asante Samuel Samuel taking a knee to the helmet how far does a cop go and his son is missing that's the story line on the powerful to SB unit Wednesday Pacific right here [Music] Ellis Hobbs is going to come in to replace a saute Samuel who gets up and walks over to the Philadelphia's sideline after taking a knee the knee of Jones to his helmet [Music] on his head and they were taking a look at him as well second down and six down Marion [Applause] makes the catch and Whitman gets tackled find the first down marker by Quentin Michael with five and a half minutes to play in the third quarter you can you can just see the trust between Tony Romo and Jason Witten that time they came with a blitz that side and once again Tony Romo believes that Jason Witten is going to see what he sees break it off and make the play and there's nothing that frustrates the defense more than you burning the Blitz but what Tony Romo did well at the end of that first half was gouging for a big play because that's what ultimately drives you out of that [Applause] less than they'll be covered by Hans they give it to barber you know Chris you're talking about him the combination of Romo and Witten amazing to think back when Tony threw his first pass in the NFL in October of oh six since that time the only combination that has combined four more catches would be Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne these guys would be second pretty good combination which we all know about the disputed clause a season ago [Applause] [Music] did he play in Venice very cool and that pass to the shoulder of Roy Williams and he pulls it in he got position on Sheldon Brown and turned to the outside makes the catch off his back shoulder first down this is the kind of timing throw we have yet to see out of Tony Romo and Roy Williams this is something you practice a lot you just keep throwing it of course it helps when you push off a little bit to get a little space on the outside but there have been so many of these plays that have been just off the fingertips between these two they keep working at it and that's a good sign now William ha stays with him right corner [Applause] [Music] right Sean Jones making the tackle be second down and seven and still no catches tonight from Miles Austin and that's strange to me because here you've got a team that loves to blitz and the one thing the Eagles were concerned about was put they tackle in the open field and Miles Austin has proven to be one of the toughest guys to tackle in the open field as a matter of fact Asante Samuel compared them to Michael Turner the great back of the Atlanta attack leaves all wide receivers and yards after the catch this out of the hands in and out of the hands of Creighton Italy third down and seven Austin coming into the game called him the Sutton star he began in Kansas City and then Atlanta and Seattle 482 receiving yards that's a cowboy record most over three games in the franchising most in the NFL since the oh-6 campaign [Applause] cakewalk and warning makes us to get it off to get the first out of reaching for a flag is down Hansen making the tackle the flag is thrown at the Philadelphia 42 yard line and Quentin Michael is exercised so the penalty will be against Philadelphia well I don't know like like Jason Witten may have pushed off on that one too well the way Michael was responding to the call now the officials will confer and maybe one will overrule the other here's so Michael apparently thinking the penalty was against him instead its offense it's on Witten and that's going to make it third down and 17 interesting choice that time Miles Austin was on the backside slant here but you'll see the contact [Applause] right there against Jose Leo Hansen just going to extend his arm do that he's gonna get that call you can extent you can bend your arm [Music] now boys have to get to the eagle 44 yard line at the 32-yard bring coal with a sack now in seven of Philadelphia's eight days shrink coal hustles more than any trucker can look at this stance he gets down as low as he can and flows l as big as he is just can't get bent down to watch Jason Witten he's gonna pop open on this play and Tony Romo is trying to wait for him but he could wait no more [Applause] 23 in the spirit court there by Sean Jackson with 210 remaining in the third quarter you know one team averaging 29 the other averaging 28 but we see it so much division rivals they know each other so well that very often the game is much lower scoring than you would think well you know they one team knows that they're gonna blitz and so then the other team does their blitz read and the other team knows your blitz reads so they have a counter to that and over the years you end up seeing games like this two teams that are averaging right around 30 points each come in here and they're sort of tearing up the middle of the field get that first place in the NFC East at stake nobody's going to win the NFC Championship tonight or even the division tonight but a big big game football teams in Philadelphia in particular going McMahon [Music] [Applause] picked off by Mike Jenkins and a flag comes in at the end of the play the pass intended for the rookie Jeremy Maclin and a face mask coming on Mac linear after the interception yes I did not see anything close to pass interference the flak came in I think a little too late if he was going to call interference when Mike Jenkins continues to impress I remember early in the year watching him against the Giants I was like oh boy he got a long way to go personal foul grasping the facemask number 18 of the passing team 15-yard penalty and a first down and so that's going to move the ball into [Applause] Philadelphia territory you see Macklin's going to do a little hesitation here like he's not going to do anything and then try and take off again but Jenkins was not fooled had it all the way and then are at the tail end of the play you could see Macklin with the face mask brilliant play there by Jenkins who has come a long way in the past month he has everybody raving about [Applause] the Cowboys fit cut this season [Music] and turning it into a big game down of the 20-yard line well you don't have to worry about timing or anything on a route like this just get it out to the big guy and every time the Eagles have been on this off coverage they end up just raising up and doing it and I don't know why you don't try and outrun the linebacker there but he decides to take it on out of bounds four catches tonight four million Winton has caught six Boston ship [Applause] right there - that's Felix Jones and run drawers with him as well second down and eight yeah the Cowboys liked that one - where they go back and they hit you on one of those quick screens the outside then they come back and fake it and run the drawback off of it so there's always these combination of plays we've seen that during the course of this one that Jason Garrett likes to put a sequence of two or three together show you one show you the next one come back with the third option Report popping up working on Samuels - - there Coble corner on this gal is gone a flag comes in a full start against the Cowboys Pulsar 75 five-yard penalty still second down that's mark Colombo [Applause] Ellis Hobbs in for Asante Samuel on the other side both former New England Patriots have come over here and passante of course made the and still trying to get right on the sideline [Applause] [Music] 2nd of 13 at the Tony for you [Applause] the backfield [Applause] [Music] whoa and behind lawyers but it makes a nice adjustment to reach down and behind them and make the cash and advance the ball to the 15-yard line where it'll be third down and five well you see the classic zone blitz that time the defensive end Jack Wade Parker almost got underneath this one I think Tony Romo thought he had a freebie but the defensive end out here is going to drop back underneath this one and almost get there he was right there but just didn't know how to play the ball once he got there and that will take us to the end of the third quarter of the battle for first in the NFC East with the Philadelphia Eagles leading the Dallas Cowboys Sunday night Philadelphia resume to these messages from your NBC station tonight's aerial coverage being brought to you by Duracell starting the fourth via Al Michaels Cris Collinsworth Andrew Kramer there are the owners Fleury has on the steam since the mid-90s forgery is his 20th anniversary bought the team back in 89 [Applause] you start Philadelphia 50-yard [Applause] they're coming [Applause] there to break it up with good tight coverage the late great Jim Johnson would have been proud of this one they're sending everybody and it is a straight man to man everywhere you look Tony Romo just trying to get back out there and let his big guy make a play in more Williams had it stopped he just couldn't pull it down [Music] 33-yard attempt iPhone to tie the game [Applause] sure to snap it and the kick is good eight seconds into the fourth quarter the Dallas Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles tied for first and tied tonight at 13 Sunday night football from Philadelphia being brought to you by Radio Shack II score big with the best brands from the shack by the United States Air Force experienced more at Air Force calm by GE imagination at work and by Geico 15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance downtown Philadelphia Delaware in Schuylkill rivers in the South Philly part of the sports complex the Phillies play here the Eagles play here the Flyers in the 76 years 14 yard line pick fielded by Hobbs brings it back up to the 25 where he's tackled by David Beeler again to set the standings in the NFC East winner of this game goes to 6 & 2 and leads the Giants lost their fourth in a row in the final minute today to San Diego by a point Washington losing to Atlanta with 2 wins and 6 losses of Philly with a win not only would be ahead of Dallas they don't the head to head with him in the 1 game obviously that they would have played which would be tonight and taking a big lead in the division which comes into play at the end they'd be free and on [Applause] first a t25 [Music] 20 yard line and heavy dose of Weaver tonight a fullback by trade but in this offense with Westbrook out and McCoy carrying nine times but being instrumental in the running game that got the Weaver for seven runs tonight yeah because Brian Westbrook is out he had a big day last time out for the Philadelphia Eagles but you just don't see the explosive plays that you have when you have Westbrook in there let Shawn McCoy is broken off a few the Leonard Weaver's trying they're trying to pound the ball in that offensive line but slow down a little and he's lucky that wasn't picked often there's a penalty [Applause] we're going to get an illegal contact prior to the past illegal contact 21 that's on Mike Jacob when the tough part about that penalty is the ball went completely the other way there was you can look at Mike Jenkins he's in man coverage here and once they go five yards who tried to get a shot on them but you have to know where you are on the field he was back deep and then rolled up in coverage there actually was not playing man put the shot but a little too deep would have been a third down in seven without the huddle [Applause] or 30 per yard [Music] protection what's the middle almost intercepted again off the hands of the Sean Jackson and almost picked by the safety Hamlin and Kenneth slow and getting up well this is as wide open as you get in the NFL and Donovan missed it all just too high and behind DeSean Jackson it didn't come open until late but it was wide open there wasn't anybody within five yards at the Sean Jackson barely avoiding a Thursday speaking of pics I know it's a moveable feast did we talk about the best interception rate among quarterbacks and it seems to move around a lot but as of tonight going into the game donovan mcnabb had the lowest interception rate of any quarterback in the history of the league one pick for every 49 passes and it's remarkable when you think back to last year when he was benched in the Baltimore game it was because he was throwing too many interceptions [Applause] - pecs tonight [Applause] and timeout taken by the Dallas Cowboys and that's their second we seen was just one with 13 18 to play [Music] Jay Leno this week it all be crews will be there stands the boss a football movie The Blind Side Jay Leno weeknights specifically Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia and about the five or six miles south Lincoln Financial Field was through seven [Applause] at the 36 yard line offensive front Winston just disappear to backup before the snap will start 74 offense five-yard penalty he'll throw down tell you Winston justice hits the penalty there but he has made a big difference for the Eagles this year remember against those a human urine the game against the Giants when he was playing left tackle and gave up six sacks in that game and people had written him off and they flipped him over to the right side and he was done a nice job there [Applause] seven coverage poor [Applause] for a first down McNabb loading it over the defender and into the arms keep Brooking couldn't get a hand on it the one thing that they've been doing is they've been sort of singling cut single covering Macklin on the outside you see Terrence Newman there with that all inside coverage that means that I've got you pretty nice job there by Donovan to get it up over booking and [Applause] initially had the first down Mike Jenkins with the coverage on the play and it looks like he will be a little short well we saw when Jason Peters went out of the game that the Marcus where was causing a few problems for this offense but bad ankle and all now Jason Peters has come back in DeMarcus Ware I don't remember calling his name this out no [Applause] [Music] and he's gonna get stuff behind the line of scrimmage that's Anthony Spence to the left outside linebacker who drops him for a loss of one and sets up a big third down and one at the 45 yard line or this time you flip DeMarcus Ware to the other side and go against the tight end Selleck here and for LeSean McCoy that's the issue that they have with them the Happy Feet stuff I mean this is a short yardage play they're just looking for you to put your head down and gain a yard and he's kind of wanting to dance around there and try and come out with something big well sometimes that's not the right way [Applause] at that time does he get the first out or not is the question McCoy no Happy Feet on that play but does he get it they get a spot it is going to be in a very another very close ball putting the ball down just shy of the 44 yard line and wall Coleman calling for the chain gang to come in again [Applause] ready James gonna come up along with Gerald sensabaugh from the safety position and those two guys do a tremendous job of pulling McCoy backwards one of the problems is then when you don't have a very big guy in that situation he doesn't get that fall forward a couple of inches and that's how many they came up short all right so let's see what Andy Reid will do I suspect he will go for it remember what we talked about last year they ranked near the bottom of the league and converting on third and fourth and short a little bit better this year stop before though and of course Andy leaves the offense and if nothing else at least to try to get them to jump offside and the Eagles in their huddle they were looking at the big screen and they felt like they converted there so now we have a heck of a moment in the ball both for two on third and fourth in the London Eye nor can I choose McCann's in [Music] godness you think there was anybody in the stadium that didn't know that was a quarterback sneak you could tell by LaShawn McCoy's stance and where he was there was no way they're gonna give it to can tell McNabb is angry at the spot he gets up and he says no it's not there and there's no way I mean you can challenge this again if you'd like but I'm gonna see how anybody can finally find the ball at the bottom of the pile of humanity well what he's going to say is I was never down and he ends up sliding down his own player here and I think he's right at the tail end of this run see he just keeps sliding down and his elbow doesn't hit until that last moment and good luck responding that on a replay so Dallas of course they run off the field now does Amy Reed wanna challenge if he doesn't he loses the challenge he does not have a timeout for the remainder of the game so once again wolf Coleman will go over and look at a spot Reid launched that last challenge and this one is going to be extremely close and again if he loses it they're out of timeouts with 10 49 to play in the game in a tie game and Dallas would get the ball here [Music] [Applause] [Music] this is going to be very very close they can use it's an interesting thing here you can use part of the logo on the field to help you spot this thing now the play is not over until make NAB's elbow touches the ground there that's where the ball is and you can use in effect that's the beak of the eagle on the logo on the field where Walt Coleman wants to come out and spot it at that point and he can use the logo and then bring the chains in this may determine what it eventually winds up being and when you look at the ball on the field as it is now I think it's a good 6 or 7 inches behind the point of that logo so they're gonna find the Eagles beak maybe [Applause] so they don't even use the beat yeah there they went be closed on that one but I let's remember now the rules for replay are a little different this year unless it is so obvious that they should change the call they're not going to and in reality you can't really see Donovan's left elbow so maybe because of the fact you don't know if that one's on the ground as he slid down there they said we can't change right you can't you just can't parse it to the nth degree and walk home in both times tonight the NIH's Andy reads challenge so they're avid challenges they're out of timeouts they turn the ball over at the 44 yard line and Dallas has it with Marion where's the back blankie [Applause] when two sets up on the right side [Applause] he had a saathi Samuel back in the game in the left corner and Barber now those three yard pickup those spot the ball at about the 46 yard line you know sometimes when you get hit and injured and we saw Asante Samuel sort of bang his head on that last one now he's back in in the first plate what does he see Marion Barber come at him no he wasn't real interested in getting involved in that one so I think that now the Cowboys coaches to see that and you keep running him [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] the 37 yard line struts over towards the cowboy bench exact same thing from Asante on that one and they flag back at the 47 yard line for a hold so barber did some strutting but a flag thrown back at the line of scrimmage a holding call and that'll make it first in twenty back at the 45 yard line there's a Sante Samuel again on the outside check them out I think this injury is definitely bothering him he's usually at least the decent tackler but you can see he really doesn't want any if I see that I'm throwing stuff out there I'm making Miles Austin the Hale is on the center this person [Applause] attend deploy [Applause] the single strands who makes the stop the Witherspoon has been simply remarkable he showed up here on a Wednesday after the trade deadline and just put a show on in Washington and he's going to come up from right here as they hit both a gaps when the Eagles get in trouble you will see them send linebackers to either side of the center it's working [Applause] no blitz this time just kill makes the catch in bounds at the 40-yard line of the Eagle setting up a third and long third and 13 clock ticking down at 8:45 just a little surprised that we've seen so much action to Roy Williams tonight so many sort of isolation plays to set him up [Applause] and especially when you consider he's playing against the corner on the single side collection of him [Applause] 14 [Applause] of the language settin it up and set it up they knew that Sheldon Brown was susceptible to the double move he likes to look at the quarterback and that time got barbecued watch the slant and go you'll see Sheldon Brown look back into the backfield at the quarterback read that three-step drop try to jump it and there's the guy we've been trying to tell you about all night [Applause] [Music] and yards and for the catch Williams is happy to Saxe on the extra point so the Eagles lose the challenge on the spot and then on third and 14 a 49-yard touchdown pass [Applause] Dallas by seven Miles Austin was picked up miles after the catch this season made that grab at the 23 yard line and then curved his way into the endzone first catch of the night good for a 7 point Dallas lead in the highlight of this run for him he met Tiger Woods and Tiger Woods knew who he was is david feeler to kickoff for him a very short dick the center was boosted this is Mack Philadelphia Banksy 236 back to the touchdown we go well Sheldon Browns going to end up jumping this when he didn't have to right here Quentin Michael has the tight end Jason Witten but Jason Witten's there to help block so if they had thrown the slant Michael would have been underneath it but it was a pump fake by Tony Romo that drew everybody Romo with this big move got Sheldon Brown to jump then they go right over the top so Wade Phillips in the background how exalted he was the 36-yard line first just for the MacNab gets knocked to the turf by Jason Hatcher we've got a flag down too and it looks like Jason Selleck yep behold red cell it was held only 51 five-yard penalty for sale defense trucking Keith Brooking there we go Keith Brooking comes over from Atlanta now right there you can see his right arm around the outside forcing Celek to spin back inside in front of the Dallas bench at the Philadelphia 48 yard line that's the mean of seven on the play second down and three one of the untold benefits of having a big play guy like Deshawn Jackson on the outside is when he runs defenders off the ball they sprint way off the ball so this tremendous screen game that the Eagles have has even more room to work [Applause] Khoi there's one at least its third down there we go again third down close enough that the fool Coleman is going to say bring in the change that groups been very busy tonight and Andy Reid's already turned in his red flag yep gone no challenges no timeouts left no donovan mcnabb was telling us that last year we were so bad in short yardage situations the team's played us to pass when it was third and one and so far tonight they've struggled too that's a familiar sight seeing a lot of waltz fingers tonight anywhere yes we have few fingers have been directed at walls as well we are in Philly [Applause] laughter this team has been good at this during the season it's hard to believe this is what's beating them so far tonight third down and then choose the ball is at the 49 yard line clock 22 6:45 in the it's Weaver and that should be a first down and the crowd with a Philadelphia cheered on the first down signal no shortage of power here you give it to the full-back and you run it behind you're blocking tight in they move them and lead them through the PA announcer with an overemphasized first down Eagles it's a great town [Applause] [Music] 33 yard line [Applause] well Jenkins typically likes to get up in the face of the receiver where he's gonna end up backing off a bit and Macklin there you go gets his hands on you he gave them a little push baby gets away with one sometimes you're getting a physical game like this that's the way it goes and it's Anthony Spencer the outside linebacker who needs some attention of the clock is stopped anthing Spencer is yet to get a sack this year and that is not good for the Cowboys because when you have DeMarcus Ware on the other side if you can present any kind of a challenge opposite him it opens up a lot for DeMarcus Ware so they really could use Anthony Spencer's doing a nice job against the run we've yet to see him get to the quarterback most of the game tonight close one all the way through here Tony Romo there are his numbers 302 yards with Donovan McNabb countering with 227 [Music] for LeSean McCoy 45 yards on a catch and run and Miles Austin coming into the game with Polly one catch in the game tonight after three back-to-back-to-back stellar performances and a Dallas touchdown that's the difference in the game Bobby carpenter comes in 54 to spell Spencer at least were play at outside linebacker the ball is at the 33 yard line and a first down [Applause] Lorenza tin Cowboys say no and the officials say noise well it's Bobby carpenter covering Selleck on the play it'll be second down well I tell you what Donovan's missed a few throws tonight but that was amazing he got that one inside a window about the size of a mailbox sound like just unable to make the catch [Applause] good analogy I've heard that one before very good Kentucky tonight secondly ten [Music] the strange ugly drop by McCoy started the lookup field before it looked the ball into his hands and it will be third down and ten McCoy's just struggling to try and get out of the backfield ended up stumbling a little bit got tripped up and it was just enough to throw them off and miss the pass well this is a this is a more critical third down and maybe even fourth down conversion than it would normally be because of the fact that there are no timeouts left for Philadelphia so once he gives the ball back if Dallas gets a couple of first downs they can take a lot of time off the clock this games you don't have to go on fourth down balus Blitzen [Music] the 37 yard line by Victor Butler a rookie out of Oregon State who's played sparingly fourth round pick and he is able to get just enough of McNabb that dropped him and there is nobody left on that side of the field this looked like he was going to run for at least the first down one shoestring maybe the linebacker comes over and makes the play there but that really was starting to open up great play by Butler and now Andy Reed is going to have Akers come in and attempt a 52-yard field goal relic at least line up to go for it on a fourth good still has the leg because david akers in his 11th season in the league a 52-yard boot to make the score 20 to 16 interesting to me because it still takes a touchdown for you here to win the game so I'm with you I don't know what this changes well you would win the game if you got a touchdown so yeah that's about that's that's the thing that would change but you know considering the circumstances it's somewhat unusual then again if you go for you don't make it you give them the ball in a pretty good position but if you don't make the field goal you still give them the ball in a pretty good position anyway as we debate ourselves here a lot of ways to look at it I have to say personally I probably would have tried for it on fourth down there I think that you're in a situation now late in the game where you can't count on getting it back because of your timeout situation well he made the field go so now he looks good by doing that I'm not sure I wouldn't funded it only because I'm a that's an ami sure a long way is now for us again with it without timeouts Dallas can play that they can grind it out they can grind it out all the way to the end makers kick Jews from the one-yard line [Applause] katako at the 11:00 and brings it back up to the 20 was Buckley who had him stopped at the 11:00 and he gets away for about 12 more Romo will come out and take over at the 23 yard line and that is Hakeem Jordan on the starting line backers playing on special teams who needs the attention a week from tonight we go to Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis the undefeated coach and how about Manning today for 40 passes in the first half in their win over the Texans taking on Tom Brady and the Patriots and there they are in the regular season Brady as a 5-2 edge he is a two to one in postseason wins head-to-head and then a time with three rings painful with one Sunday Night Football Indianapolis a week from tonight boy if we had a couple of decent quarterbacks in that one that would be really a fasting one not too bad so Jordan now gets up and again Philadelphia thinit linebacker to begin with oh yeah please ouch way this is tough because now get pretty razor thin at that linebacker position and you have to make a stop remember Jordan's been doing a pretty nice job on Jason Witten this go Kong he's out of this one as well as to where Bradley Omar Gaither there on injured reserve segalis will go against first down at the 23-yard one for 20 remaining the [Applause] first down and carry these women after the 39-yard line it's a gain of 16 and a first half for Dallas that's that nasty little play that's worked so well for Dallas they faked the screen out to the wide receiver throw the duck to draw off of it that ended up picking up a big first down Tony Romo can work that play clock all the way down [Applause] barbar sort of the Mariano Rivera of the Dallas Cowboys to pick up you have the lead you bring them in you just want them along with the board [Applause] the plate [Applause] it's up to the 45-yard line will be under three minutes to go when they next snap it it'll be second down and four go for Andy Reid now this clock is ripping by for him so the two-minute warning the only time that he can stop it so realistically here you're looking at you pretty much have to make a stop this one's getting close because they're gonna milk this clock for all it's worth it's almost like he's trying to stare the clown nothing he can do no watching the play clock take as much as you can off of it [Applause] 46 yard line and they're gonna have to run a play before the two-minute warning that time the linebacker this time is gonna come around here and be able to catch this one Tracy white getting in the backfield and using his speed so pretty nice play by him because that one looked like it had his shot there's a half second difference here they have to run a play or there'll be a delay of game before the two-minute warning the play clock is a half second behind the game clock 33 [Applause] that's a first down taking it to the 49 there is your two-minute warning and now the Dallas Cowboys are in primo position to move into undisputed possession of first place [Music] via 16 [Music] so unless you have her med words come in here and Joe pasar check this one is over Dallas can run the clock out nothing Andy Reid can do they had those two challenges and one other time out and we brought it up with about six minutes ago about you know that's the risk you run by making especially that second challenge and the Philadelphia Eagles as we take a look at Romo again here his witness first down and that's gonna cement it he's they run a play here at second down and the Dallas Cowboys and there is an exalted Wade Phillips who by the way while nobody's been looking he's now coached 40 games counting this one with Dallas his record is 28 and 12 but with the heat he's been under and part of it is the fact you know the Edit great team two years ago and they went belly up against the Giants in the playoff game and then last year they went belly up at the end of the regular season the 28 and 12 is pretty good pretty impressive meanwhile you have a I'm not sure what this one's about neither am I they're saying it's about the clock but I'm not sure what exactly they are discussing right now please reset the play clock to 155 and put 40 seconds on the play clock 155 on the game clock 40 seconds on the play clock so what happened was they put up 25 seconds and you talking about Wade Phillips yeah they saw in his mind yep yeah you put up 25 seconds after a play has been stopped and then if the ball is spotted ready for play so little hometown clock operating right now can't get away with that until thanks though new and that's only the Eagles can do right now is just sit and stew and as we mentioned this is so big for each of these teams and Sony respects but especially for Philadelphia finding themselves a game behind right now and now going on the road for four of the next five games and none of them are walkovers by any stretch of the imagination and you know more importantly probably is not holding serve against the Dallas Cowboys like at home in a game that they had sort of well in hand and then once again it is Miles Austin who comes up with the game-winner so very I thought it was a very good game by Tony Romo when you play against the defense like the Eagles you just have to keep hanging in there I mean these guys are gonna make you look bad on occasion you're gonna throw an interception or two you're gonna take some sacks but as the game goes along you also against this Eagles defense with the way they blitz have to hit some big plays and some of those big plays was the difference in this one this would be the last play of the game Romo will finish the night with 307 passing yards and of all the wacky things so much made of Miles Austin coming into the game he catches one ball and it's the difference in the game all they needed [Applause] so the Eagles are five and three the Cowboys go to six and two the Giants are five and for the Cowboys go to Green Bay next Sunday but then they go home for two games against Washington and that's sitting pretty game over one of the 16 Cowboys the coming right up [Music] NBC station [Music]
