life we're in the shelter of his arms hallelujah open your bibles this morning to Luke chapter 1 I'm gonna be reading a little more scripture that I normally do to add context to the verse that the passage that the Lord has laid upon my heart this morning Luke chapter 1 beginning with verse number 28 the word of the Lord said in the angel came in unto her speaking of Mary and said hail thou that are highly favored the Lord is with thee blessed art thou among women and when she saw him she was troubled at his saying and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be and the angel said unto her fear not Mary for thou hast found favor with God and behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb and bring forth a son and shall call his name Jesus he shall be great he shall be called the son of the highest and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David [Music] [Applause] [Music] and he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever and of his kingdom there shall be no end then said Mary unto the angel how shall this be seeing that I know not a man and the angel answered and said unto her the Holy Ghost shall come upon thee and the power of the highest shall overshadow thee therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God and behold thy cousin Elizabeth she has also conceived a son in her old age and this is the six months with her who was called barren here's my text for with God nothing shall be impossible far with God nothing the Word says nothing and I looked it up in the Greek it means nothing shall be impossible with God about such horrible nothing shall be impossible with God I gotta say it again far with God nothing shall be impossible would you bow your heads father we come before you in the name of your son Jesus I need your help this morning to articulate that which you have placed upon my heart for this morning there are those that are hurting those that are sick those that are bound those that are facing storms and trials and the devil has told them there is no hope let this word this morning be a word of faith and encouragement and hope for them that no matter what they are facing that looks like impossible in the natural and impossible situation and the natural let faith begin to arise for you are the god of the impossible anointment a minister anoint your people to receive and to hear and we give you all the praise and glory and everybody said a man and a man I have to begin this morning with an unequivocal statement and that is I believe in miracles I gotta say it again I believe in miracles I believe that we serve a miracle working God I believe in the God that brought the Hebrew children out of Egyptian bondage and opened a Red Sea and they walked across on dry ground I believe that when they were hungry the god of miracles set manna from heaven to feed them I believe when they were thirsty he told Moses to take that rod and strike the rock and water came forth and that rock was Christ and acquits the third I believe in a midnight of miracles I believe in the same God that anointed David to kill a lion a bear and a giant I believe in a God that healed blind Bartimaeus that raised Lazarus from the dead the calls that ox-head the float that calls the Sun to stand still for Jack I believe in a God that push down the walls of Jericho I believe there is nothing too hard for God I believe there's no sickness he cannot heal there is no bondage he cannot break there is no sinner but he cannot say but I must cut up a we serve a God of miracles we serve a God of miracles we serve America working gun mundo closeup [Applause] Litella he can put food on your table he can play clothes on your back your children that are in bound by sin and you don't even know where they are right now he can bring them in he can save them he can clean them up hallelujah your marriage that's on the ropes he's the greatest marriage counselor that ever he he could put gas in your car he could pay your bills he could pay your mortgage hallelujah he's still walking on the water I said he's still walking on the water he still saying peace be still he's still comin the storm that rages in the heart of men and women there's nothing too hard for him there's no demon power that could stand against the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob but of some of you watching right now you said I've never seen a miracle you are wrong first I want to ask our television Department to take the cameras and pen it across this audience for those of you that are watching why am i doing that because every face you see it's a miracle every man woman teenager in this building every son every daughter in Salvation section they are a miracle of the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ now you watching get up get up out of your seat walk over to the closest mirror and look in that mirror the reflection you see looking back at you if you're saved by the blood of Jesus you're looking at a miracle I said you're looking don't ever say you've never seen a miracle you are a miracle you are a miracle yesterday in prayer meeting I was as we were praying and I we haven't mentioned this it's so long and I'll take responsibility for forgetting to remind you but every Saturday morning we have prayer meeting in the second floor of the college building and I'm telling you the Spirit of God moves the Spirit of God moves if you need a refreshing you need to be at prayer meeting if you need a touch you need to be at prayer meeting if you've got a bondage in your life you need to be at that prayer meeting at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning if you want revival I said if you want revival it's time we quit talking about about it it started praying for us and seeking God for it but every Saturday morning at 10 o'clock and I was praying and I was praying about this message of how to begin it because you know when you talk about me I want it to be personal I've made a promise to the Lord that I would never preach anything that has not already been proved in my life so that when I stand behind here - I tell you that God's a healer I can tell you that because I than healed when I tell you he can break your bondage just I can tell you for a fact he's broken but everything I said to tell you I've proved it in my own life and the Lord brought something back to me that happened when when we were on the evangelistic field when I was just a little boy I don't even know if dad has ever told this story maybe he has if he has it's been so long ago I don't remember but the Lord had to bring it to my attention I'd not thought about it for I don't know how many years as you know we've we started in 1960 on the evangelistic eel we left the booming metropolis of Wisner Louisiana three houses in the whole town I guess that's where I was born we started in 1960 in full time evangelistic work my mother taught the correspondence I've told you this first second third grade we were going from church to church to church we traveled in a car we we had a a u-haul trailer that carried our meager possessions the records that was back in the day of long play albums and they would come in boxes of 100 they were heavy I know that for a fact because I had to carry every one of them it was always my job to set up the table our sound equipment what little bit of sound equipment dad didn't trust the sound equipment in the churches and we'd bring our little speakers all that he had a back and they didn't have wireless mics you know this was in the prehistoric days and they had cables you know cables and always in these churches they were always about 10 feet long and back then your debt daddy walked all over the building so he carried his own mic cable is 50 feet long he could walk up and down the aisles and I don't remember where we were coming from and I don't remember where we were going I was about 8 years old we started out traveling going to this meeting wherever it was and I would ride in the backseat of the car and you know it's amazing nowadays with kids I mean you can't go two feet in your car unless they're buckled and snapped in glued in you got those baby seats car seats you got to be a graduate of MIT to figure out how to put them in the car or get them out a the and back then you know nothing how times have changed the cars back then the insides were so big that many days we traveling all day long I would climb up behind the backseat and lay on that space back there and go to sleep and that's just the way that it was and we were driving as we always did and the Lord spoke to dad as we began the trip that Warner had said the devil is going to try to kill you today didn't tell him how but he said the devil is going to try to kill you today as I've heard him many years ago tell it the fear of the Lord came up all over him he didn't know what to do I mean his wife his child in the car the Lord didn't say hail he just said the devil is going to try to kill you today we stopped for breakfast and mother and I went in dad and dad told mother order for diner y'all eat I'm going back out to the car well I we didn't know what was going on but he did he got that card and putting them laid his head over in the stereo said god what do I do what do I do and the Lord spoke to him and said just do what you preach believe me believe and dad begins to claim divine protection he began to claim that hedge there's a roundabout the child of God sometimes God will allow that hedge to be dropped down for the enemy to come against us sometimes we forced that hedge down by our abelian but they're still a hedge I said there's still a hedge around about the child of God and we finished eating got in the car dead driving pulling that trailer we're doing about 65 or 70 miles an hour we topped a hill as soon as we got to the top of the hill as we looked down there was a car stopped right in our lane there was a state vehicle a tractor lawnmower huge lawn mower on our side of the road and this car had to stop as this vehicle came by there was no way that dad could stop in time pulling that u-haul trailer loaded down with all of our possessions no way he looked and in a split second he he thought I'll swerve over to the left lane but there was a car coming in the left lane there was nothing to do and in a split moment of time he turned that wheel hard to the left and shot across the highway shot all the way across onto the side of the road there was about a 30-foot Grant embankment solid ground solid soil embankment on the side we were going as I said between 65 and 70 miles an hour we hit that embankment so hard that it me I think I could still feel it threw me up against the backseat mother they were just coming out with seatbelts in and I don't even know if mother had her seatbelt on but it people in a moment's time cars for stopping people were jumping up they just knew that they were going to find dead bodies but when they got over there and one man pulled open the door and there we are all three of us sitting there not a scratch on us not a scratch on us one man said oh my god when I saw you go across that road I thought everybody in that car was gonna be killed we got out and I mean my dad was shaking mother was shaking I was dead but we were all right but here's the thing when we hit that embankment the trailer the UIL trailer flipped over on its side completely flipped over without coming unshackled from the hinge it just wrote oh we got a bunch of men dad did and they pushed that u-haul trailer back up then dad put the key in the lock unlocked it and opened the door not one single item was out of place do you hear what I'm saying not one single item was out of place not one plastic record was broken not one suitcase was not where it was supposed to be that sound equipment had not moved when I Oh God but I believe in miracles believe in miracles I believe in miracles why would God allow that to happen why would the devil try to kill a struggle evasion some fairly Louisiana because of what we're doing right now I said because of what we're doing right now I gotta say I didn't come to say it but I'm gonna say to those of you you've never been here every time you turn on SBN you are looking at a miracle when you drive on this grounds every single building on this ground is a miracle we should elissa the devil has tried to kill us he's tried to shut us up he's tried to close our mouth he's tried to shut the doors of this place he's trying to close our mouth over television but we're still here and now we don't just have a one-hour program we've got some live broadcasting network 24 hours today seven days a week [Applause] for a time such as this for a time such as this for a time such as listen we don't have much time left soon very soon the Trump of God is going to sound but before that truck comes God has raised up this network that the gospel of Jesus Christ should go forth to the four corners of the world hallelujah and this gospel shall be preached unto the ends of the earth and then shall the end come what gospel Jesus saves jesus heals Jesus delivers Jesus baptizes in the Holy Ghost and Jesus it's coming back hallelujah I was just in Chile Santiago this past weekend we were there about 30 years ago in the national stadium 80,000 seats jam-packed Sunday afternoon we had the largest altar call that we had ever seen in the international Crusades they took a helicopter shot and they they knew how to live but they estimated between 28 and 35 thousand people [Music] between 28 and 35,000 people that stepped out of their seat walked across the field of that soccer stadium I can still remember senator it was like a sea of people they just kept coming and they just kept coming and they just kept coming we're gonna see it again we're gonna see it again this little bit it won't be a stadium this time it'll be coming from this service or another service like this or the message of the Cross or gay preaching the generation of the cross or Lauren preaching or dr. Kerr whoever's preaching if God's better start bringing them here the Lord's gonna start bringing them in the Lord's gonna start bringing them here and my first service Friday morning was at prison and it was about an hour out of Cynthia go and they're still in winter they're below the equator and I didn't I they told me I was going to be at a prison but I assumed it was going to be indoors it wasn't it was outdoors and by the time we got from Santiago to the president's temperature dropped about 20 25 degrees it's freezing cold and I walked in there that opening they had waiting the colonel that was over the prison and I mean he was dressed at his finest uniform and he had all of his other attendants and aides there and you know I thought this was just a perfunctory deal they're you know they've got a visitor coming to minister that he stuck his hand out he was introduced to me then all of a sudden in Spanish he spoke and the interpreter turpan he said please tell brother Swaggart thank you for all he's done our country and I just looked at him and then he started introducing me to those his other his attached shades and all that and it was a men and women's prison he introduced me to one of the lady officers that was going to be in the service that morning and he introduced I shook her hand and she spoke through the interpreter to my family and I we were in that stadium we got saved during that crusade and our whole family is now living for the Lord we're saying we're baptized in the Holy Spirit and I'm just blown away and then we walked out into that square where they had set up chairs and there were male prisoners on one side female and the other and I didn't know all the background but I'm telling you it was like I'd walked into Family Worship Center I mean those prisoners and prisoners were worshiping the Lord I mean their hands were up in the air they were I I don't understand Spanish but I understand glory adios glory adios glory adios and I mean though I don't understand Spanish when I walk by I can tell when somebody's speaking Spanish or somebody's speaking in tongues and they were speaking in tongues and I walked by and they all had an expository Bible we had we've just sent a few months ago 25,000 and and and and through the church we're working through the denomination the Pentecostal Methodist the Pentecostal Methodist and that's who I was preaching for and and and the gentleman that's over there prison outreach asked if he could have just a small portion of those exposures not for nubile he said these are seasoned men and women that we are raising up in the prison to be the preachers and the chaplains and they had one give us testimony and like I said I don't speak Spanish my translator this is amazing my translator he was a Chilean raised in England his English was perfect it was perfect British English it was freaky he was Chilean but he'd speak to me in English he was material and he was an Anglican pastor an Anglican pastor baptized in the Holy Ghost and he would start telling me translating what this young man got up he was said he said I was bound by drugs I was bound by alcohol I was bound he said I've lost there but I've lost my family I lost my wife I've lost my children I've come out I will be here for many many years but it was in this place that I found Jesus Christ he said I'm no longer bound by drugs I'm no longer bound by alcohol I'm no longer bound by sin I'll never forget these words I am more free today I am more free today in this prison that I've ever been outside of this prison and then he turned to me and I didn't know that he starts speaking to me he said tell hermano swaggered brother Swaggart how much we love him how much the ministry means to us and thank him for the expositor Study Bible we're learning the Word of God I get so fed up with Christians is that I don't believe that's the problem we limit God with our own unbelief there's a miracle with your name on it this morning every one of you watching there is a miracle with your name on it and the door is open wide the only thing that can stop you from getting your miracle this morning is you not believing but I've made up my mind I don't want anybody else to get my America merica I believe God hallelujah every day the fact is we see more miracles than we realize things that happen that you don't think of them as miracles but they are how many of you I've had this happen before you're in a busy downtown area with traffic coming and going and you're standing getting ready for the life to turn to walk across the street and you get kind of lost in your surroundings and the light turns and you start to take a step and something inside of you says no and you pull back and all of a sudden a car that didn't stop from speeding back you're talking about that's a miracle that's God the Holy Spirit protecting you that's God the Holy Spirit protecting you we just don't understand at times that the things that happen in our lives if we stop and think about it in the natural it is impossible in the natural there's no way that it could happen but we serve a God of the impossibility I gotta hurry he involves himself in every aspect of your life and the more he's involved the more miracles you'll see but he also involves himself in the affairs of nations now do you understand what I'm saying this nation is a miracle everything about this nation is a miracle I don't have time to go to her I just want to share this this one's story with you before I go on the rest of my message about God involving himself in the affairs of this of this nation I could I could stay here for days if you don't blame to go to the bookstore and get the DVD series of the first season of preachers Patriots and Providence and as we deal we started with the Reformation and we went up to the war of 1812 and the how you see the hand of God and the miracles what I'm about to tell you took place in December 1944 the Allies the US the British the other allies combined allies canadian assertive had landed on in June the 6th on Normandy beachhead by the 1st of December they had pushed the Germans back all the way back into Belgium at the beginning of December we were the Allies had pushed the Germans so far back that there was even some that were thinking that by Christmas of 44 that Allied forces would be in Berlin but as November ended in December cane you that part of Europe experienced the worst winter storm in over a hundred years the clouds turned gray the fog enveloped the land the temperature plunged the snow began to fall like buckets until the ground was completely covered and then it would stop snowing and then freezing rain then snow freezing rain until everything was iced over nothing could move our troops were stopped in their tracks we made a serious blunder in thinking that because of the weather that as it hampered our advance it would also hamper the Germans but the moment that weather came in Adolf Hitler called his top generals together said this is the time to counter-attack not one single American military mind for saw the potential two of a counter-attack except for George Patton in a meeting with his superiors he told them we cannot sit idly by this is the perfect time for the Germans to counter-attack they said no way they don't have enough fuel they don't have enough men we've scattered them all around but they didn't know that Hitler had brought in pens or troops of pettiness Panzer battalions of Tanks and Tiger tanks of Panzer tanks and troops some other and amassed them right across the border of Belgium and Patton kept telling them we need to be on guard but we were not and then the order was given and the Battle of the Bulge began the Germans advanced so far that they created an opening of nearly 80 miles in the lines thousands of American troops were cut off and captured scores of them in in Hitler's demonic mind thinking of blitzkrieg how he had started the war that everything must be rapid movement he said he'd given orders to hunger stop people we don't have time to fool with prisoners kill them and thousands of Americans that had been taken prisoner were marched out into the snow trucks pulled up the back slipped up with machine guns and they mowed him down until the blood was soaked red with American lies the Germans fix their sights on the city of Bastogne in Belgium it was the key place because there were seven roads that went out from vest on to all parts of Europe but primarily to Antwerp and that was what Hitler's goal was take Bastogne and then we'll have a clear shot into Antwerp which will give us a dock a port that we can get gasoline and bullets and true to keep the war going the 101st airborne and several other different units were invest all they found themselves surrounded and cut off we couldn't bring supplies if the clouds there was no Sun the planes could not fly they couldn't drop needed supplies and the Germans kept pushing day after day after day we were running out of food many of the soldiers only had the bullets that was in the rifle most of them did not have winter gear they didn't have coats we were running out of we were out of morphine we're out of bandages we were out of all other types of medicine and day after day those German 88's bombarding the town of Bastogne the question was asked of all of our Allied leaders who can get there and Patton said if you give me the gas I can get there but the weather wouldn't cooperate oh he could get there but he had to have air cover what good would it do to him to get there and not have food and bullets and medicine to give to the troops he was depending upon a two-prong approach him by land and supplies dropped by air but planes couldn't fly general dick McCarthy was the commander of the American troops III got is just gray I love this on the 22nd of December the German commander General von looked whit's submitted the following demand for surrender to his American counterpart commanding the American forces in best on Brigadier General Anthony McAuliffe II the letter said to the USA commander of the encircle town of Bastogne the fortune of war is changing this time the USA forces in and near bestsong have been encircled by strong German armored units I'm talking about miracles now more German armored units have crossed the river or near North oval we have taken Marche and reach st. to bear by passing through home pray said pray until a these are Belgian towns that they had taken from the Allies and he said libram on twich was the next largest town is now in German hands there is only one possibility to save the encircled US troops from Total Annihilation that is the honorable surrender of the encircled town in order to think it over a term of two hours will be granted beginning with the presentation of this note if this proposal should be rejected one German artillery Corps and six heavy AAA that's any aircraft battalions are ready to annihilate the US troops in and near best on the order for firing will be given immediately after this two-hour turn all the serious civilian losses caused by this artillery fire would not correspond with the well-known American humanity sign the German commander General von Lubitz he sent one of two of his attache to deliver the message the ranking officer didn't speaking in English but the second German officer did speaking impeccable English he presented the surrender demands our American officer said stay right here I'll take it to the general they brought the surrender terms surrender or be annihilated and put him in the hands of General MacArthur he read it set down and looked at his officers he knew they had they couldn't stand up against the Germans they could but this is what I like about America this was his answer to the German commander nuts to the German commander nuts son the American commander he handed it back and therefore no what-what does not mean not what what is he saying and the other officer tonigh gotta forgive my language now but this is what he said I think he's telling you to go to hell meaning we will not surrender we will not give up we will fight to the last man when we run out of bullets will fight you advantage when we run out of bayonets will fight you with we will not surrender he didn't know of the plans to try to get patents core to him they were cut off patent knowing that the might and power the German army was encircling best song and he knew that if he didn't get there it was going to be too late so what did this American commander do did he come up with a new strategy yes he came up with a completely new strategy he called for the regimental chaplain he called for the regimental chaplain the chaplain walked in first time he had ever been in the presidency general yes sir what can I do for you chaplain I'm quoting now I believe in prayer now you got to understand patent was a crude vulgar man he can make a sailor blush with his language but I'm talk--i God is just looking for somebody to believe him he said I believe in prayer now I'm asking you to write a prayer for God to open up the skies that our planes can fly that we can get supplies to our troops and Bastogne chat little shaken he goes but general I'm a chaplain my calling is to for God to save lives and you're asking me to do something that will kill life I'm just quoting him now I'm just quoting him we're in a war chaplain people die in a war but in a war he said I'm quoting him now there's always the right side and the wrong side we stand on the side of that which is righteous that's what this old vulgar man said now I'm expecting you to write a prayer that God will hear and God will answer that chaplain probably what he was saved but he got saved then I tell you that he went back he went back and he sat down and shaking tried to come up he said he went through all of his liturgy books and trying to find some prayer to stop rain and he couldn't find a prayer to stop rain of course you don't look in a list of G book anyway and finally when he couldn't find anything he got down on his knees he said god help me I gotta give a prayer to the general then he said all of a sudden I knew what to say I got up and I wrote it down on a piece of paper I came back to the general and I gave it to the general he looked at it said that's it God is gonna answer this prayer he said assemble everybody we're going to make a copy of it and we're going to give it to every single member of my poor and how many already struck my officers over the enlisted men to read it to them and I'm gonna tell them to believe the words this is what the chaplain wrote oh mighty oh mighty he's mighty he's and most merciful Father we humbly beseech thee of that great goodness to restrain these in moderate rains and weather which we have had to contend Grannis fair weather for battle graciously hearken to us as soldiers who call upon thee that armed with thy power we may advance from victory to victory and crush the oppression and the wickedness of our enemies and I love this and establish thy justice among men and Nations Pattin call knows but the offices ready to all the men and when the general gives the order you'll but he said believe the prayer believe the prayer is held ended after my coffee said nuts sit the water back the Germans started pouring down fine but all of a sudden the clouds begin to roll back and the Sun began to shine and for the first time in nearly a month American fighters were able to take off and they begin to strafe and Bob I love the German entrenchments and then the c-47s begin to drop medicine and bullets and all the food and then in cold weather go everything that our troops needed and instead of American forces being annihilated we won the battle [Applause] make your way back I got a hurry I got a could I just me his alma tape impossible the word impossible in the Greek means weak what you weak to do it we're no match for the forces of darkness that come against a spiritual physical financial domestic ocean we're no match for it means impotent it means unable to carry out unable to complete it mean it speaks of our weakness to do that which needs to be done it means that we cannot bring a satisfactory conclusion to the matter because it is impossible impossible for you and I but there's two words with God with God with God Oh with God what I'm telling you if you believe God if you tell the devil I don't know how I'm gonna put food on the table I don't know how the clothes on my back I don't know how I'm gonna get job I don't know what's gonna happen but I am with God I serve the King of Kings he will take business how do you think we've been here all these years with God with God with God with God nothing is impossible you're a miracle we're a miracle you're a miracle there's nothing God cannot do if we'll just believe it stand to your feet this water water about sheet a lot more cool rubbish [Music] hallelujah I didn't even really get to preach my message I didn't get to deal with the Incarnation God becoming man that's a miracle I said God became a man that's a miracle that's the Holy Spirit moves upon Mary and breathed into her womb the son of God his birth was a miracle his life was a miracle his death on Calvary was prophesied in his resurrection was a miracle his ascension was a miracle soon we're going to see the miracle of his return everything from Genesis to Revelation is a miracle it begins in Genesis 1:1 in the beginning God created the heavens and the America and the earth was without form and void and darkness cover the face of it but the Spirit of God moved an order was brought on a disorder light was brought out of darkness order was brought out chaos and from there all the way through the final words the final Amen a revelation 20:2 it's a miracle you are a miracle I don't know what you need this one I don't know if it's physical spiritual financial domestic emotional I don't know but it doesn't matter whether I know it the word says our Heavenly Father knows what we have Nita before we can ask I don't know what they're gonna sing but whatever they're singing whatever you need whatever miracle you need I don't it's not too big the mountain is not too big the ocean is not too deep the valley is not too low if they begin to sing it get out of your seat come stand around here God for your miracle this morning [Music] thank all things are possible hallelujah and then you put it in the Lord's hands and then you begin to praise the Lord for it even though you don't have it see when McCarthy signed that note he didn't know
