with a high-security armed guard that's right a bodyguard for a rock but while it would seem on paper that the owner would be in for a windfall the reality is actually something very different this anonymous man has said that he's living in fear at constant risk of kidnapping extortion or just an armed robbery turns out the Emerald is not always greener number seven ancient turn light kingdom as we come to know more and more about our world the more bizarre it seems to be ancient history has told us that every major civilization has built a kingdom all of its own but that's not just for humans researchers in Brazil found a massive complex of up to 200 million termite mounds making up its very own kingdom and what's more interesting it's around four thousand years old there are termites older than us the kingdom as a whole covers an area of Brazil about the size of Great Britain a whopping ninety three thousand and a half square miles and yes a complex as big as that is obviously visible on Google Earth with many of the termite mounds rising as highest 10 feet high however if you're brave enough to go and see the kingdom in person prepare to be disappointed as most of the mounds are very difficult to see from ground level after all a kingdom doesn't much like to be spied on while there is no concrete way to know how long it took for the species to build this no lungs and breathes through its skin that's about it lucky for us the phallic snake can't actually attack humans as it much prefers tiny prey like fish worms and other sea creatures these mysterious show if you've ever lost something wait 18 years and you'll find it again somewhere in Brazil these tiny frogs weigh less than a gram and have skins so translucent that you can barely even see it instead you just see the internal organs through their little stomachs that's really gross it's always pretty amazing to see animals make a sudden reappearance after such a long period but these are in a league of their own in terms of strangeness these animals are definitely an impressive creation of nature but I for one am pretty happy that it's a rare occurrence because I don't really want to discover an eel that seems to be capable of conducting something much more than just your typical electrical current what do you do common sense says you go home and pretend you saw nothing but we all strange given just how rare these animals are but to find one hanging around in Brazil is just a little extra strange why you ask well because we say it is we don't have to explain ourselves this particular species of river dolphin the inia ergo ANSYS is completely different from other seven known species in 2014 a team of scientists working on behalf of the Federal University of Amazonas discovered this whole new species of pink river dolphin surviving in the Araguaia River and immediately began an exploration of the species while the specifics of the species are still unknown it's believed that this new animal has made its home in the area with many tourists claiming to have spotted this most unusual creature and what's more exciting is that there is another species of river dolphin living nearby the boto pink dolphins how amazing is that as far as strange things to find in Brazil a whole new species of already rare breed of dolphin is definitely one of the most unusual it's definitely not one of the easiest to find which may explain why nobody discovered it before 2017 in fact this fish was found lurking just fifty centimeters beneath the surface of a temporary pond on an island in the middle of the Xingu River so it's pretty easy to see how this teeny tiny fish managed to evade any sign of capture after all how many people will be exploring ponds on islands in rivers that's a pretty nice hobby this animal was just one of 300 one new species discovered living in the Amazon in the same year making it one of the most unexplored areas on the planet for animal
