[Music] so why is there a fifteen-minute project let's see how that goes sound 15-minute life project Lucy have otherwise my over camera okay so that's faced then I just want to get eighth dimension here for the stem and I'm gonna set out to 15 millimeters 12 13 14 15 or somewhere thereabouts the thing is I think it's critical on this job okay and then am I going to bill 17 I'll be the four male 21 melt don't you want some way there by Cass I know this is actually pretty cool oh good okay so I've got my three little Mark's turned in there so I want to turn the first pic down turn that down so I'll tell you what I'm gonna do I'm just gonna come in to the line there proximal and then do your final cut on a bicycle Yeah right come in Mesa just roughing cuts all the noise gonna get our brush down to size [Applause] and I wanted to be about five or six that looks about six mouths still quick baby they're coming in swarf just eyeballed that like I say it's not really critical 5.92 so that's okay so now I want to do some finishing cuts just okay so that it is more or less done and what I'm going to do now is just gonna move the tool post round just give me a sort of angle on there and like say it's only rough it's only yeah as it happens this is just gonna give me a little bit of sort of finger moving the subtle inwards and the cross light outwards is to do it just give me a little bit of a bit of an edge there today well I'm gonna lift that camera up a bit because you can't really see what's going on very easily so I've done that there and then what I want to do oh I can bring that background to about square just drop this tall out that's all I've been using by the way is just like a knife tool so I'm now gonna pop it with my just 60-degree Shama fat all I've got there I could use my back tool post but it's a bit awkward at the many up with the camera there so that and that's just gonna give us a nice little jump from the end and I'm also one here and there just shuffling back a bit so the next thing I need to do my part in to lean to just about on the line just eyeballing that just enough shock and then my sham fits all back on under the carriage lot drop the Sham friend and then I'm just looking at sham for in the inside and all I'm gonna do also is just just so now that it's round essentially so that I shouldn't get any so now I'm gonna pop that off completely I want to give myself about five or six melt it'll it all come off when I do the returning to a point it comes okay Sam just gonna stop the light off move that back Chuck then I'm gonna pop my piece back in let's make sure the jaws are plead gonna pop that back in just give it a little bit twist make sure it's good back up not too tight I don't really wanna market or anything to do night cuts and then put your knife tool back in and then we're gonna bring that down [Music] like okay so the next thing I need to do now put in the carriage back again and now i'm gonna i'm now got just gonna set my top slide zoom out a bit just set me top slide over to sort of about thirty degrees again it's not really critical so just pinch that back up okay so that's set up now now this time I'm gonna have to move my camera because it's gonna be in the way of my and the way my hand see that Konya you can see these sort the other camera yep okay so now I'm just gonna provider the points on him I'm just gonna come in a bit just take a bit of a cup face it I'm just gonna keep nice slope there you have a nice little spinning top I have marked you actually with the chalk will hey so there we have it a nice simple beginners live project in under 15 minutes nice and simple a couple of marks on there from the Chuck prop shrewd enough squeezed in so tight that you won't make a lot of difference and like I say the sizes are all just approximate and you know if you want you can put some little sort of part nations and things like that on it make it look a bit a bit fancy like I say it's a great first length project because you don't really have to follow any specific perfect dimensions it gives you a little bit of turning experience different wise radiuses and chamfers and perhaps some groove in and stuff like that and obviously turning a taper on the end there 60 degree taper and you know there's you do a round ended if you want and they're just nice and easy to just knock off on the lathe it doesn't take long at all gives you a little bit of practice it also hones you skills for making sure that when you do swap it around in the Chuck that you've got a nice sort of centered Chuck because you know I mean if these are any more than a little bit off-center you know that they're not going to spin up very well so great little project as you can see they're pretty stable slightly different designs that one's going now and there it goes as you can see a nice little project gonna fun give these to the kids well maybe not a blue moon choke on them these days thanks for watching [Music] you
