hey everybody welcome back to Jarvis Mountain Outdoors we're going to do a little quick review on drag Harrow I bought it back guys back before Christmas early fall I actually haven't even got to use it yet played around here on the driveway a little bit but we're going to test it out and kind of give you my thoughts on it I got it for uh just kind of we're going to see how it does on this uh gravel driveway see if it Smooths it out kind of fills it in a little bit now I had a land plane and in my opinion you cannot beat a land plane for gravel driveways that's the best way to go but I don't have one now so but that ain't really the real reason I bought this for the driveway but uh bought it to do my food plots with you know level them out and scratch up the surface so I can plant seed and stuff so anyway let me turn you around here and show you what we got so what we have here is a uh it's a six by four six feet wide four feet long and it's a loyal drag Herald I got it from Tractor Supply and um it has three and a half inch steel tines It's All Steel half inch diameter and you've got two modes with it if you will right now I have it set in aggressive mode and then you can take it and turn the mat around and re-hook it up and it'll be a little bit less aggressive mode and then also you can flip it upside down to smooth width so we're going to try it out see how it does and uh kind of go from there and so let's give it a shot see what she does [Music] thank you all right I kind of want to show you that was one pass down and one pass up on one side just and I'll show you the difference here and what we're uh trying to do so let me turn this around here real quick so hopefully it shows up you can see this side here how it's roughed it up and then this side here we've kind of got a got a washout on this side as I walk down further here you can kind of see the lines there Sun's kind of going down it's hard to see this right here is a pretty bad wash out and this is where I just went so I mean it does rip it up pretty good this here is pretty hard packed this has got 53s with dust in it so it's pretty hard ground's cold too but uh yeah it uh and then here's an example too on the side I just went down there's a big wash out right here too so hitting this a few times we'll just see what happens here and see if we can smooth this back out so there's a little bit of a better side by side comparison and that's just one time down one time back to where I started and so that's what we'll do we'll see if we can get get these uh knocked down and smoothed out a little bit [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] foreign [Music] so now I got everything kind of ripped up and what we're going to do we're going to flip this over and just kind of smooth it back out [Music] [Applause] all right [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] thank you foreign [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign I think it did pretty good actually um I'll show you here real quick let me spin you around here we're in the area where this washout was all the way down around this little curve right here and then over there and that curve is where it tends to wash out it did feel it um I think it did okay it's uh granite in my situation here though I need gravel so we're you can see we're kind of getting down to the sub base again I haven't had time to get gravel in and but I'll get some more gravel and I think anyone that's got a good decent gravel bed it would definitely do good so if it'll do good on this how this ground is and how it needs more material I think it'll be fine but yeah it smoothed it out filled it in um yeah not too bad on gravel so so yeah I think it uh it's a pretty good little product and again one thing I may suggest if you've got a lot of room to where you can turn around the ranger did fine obviously it's a little big on this driveway especially turning around down at the road but uh a four-wheeler would be nice I think you could maneuver it a little better but I really didn't have no problems but yeah like I said in the beginning this is mainly for my food plots and um kind of hitting the driveway once in a while when it gets washed out but and when we go to do plant the food plots I'll show you again on how this does as far as leveling out the ground and uh being able to get seed in the ground and cover it up but yeah I think it's okay it's okay for me anyway but uh oh and by the way I don't think I mentioned it it does this one weighs I think it's at a 148 or 149 pounds I would definitely think of weight getting one of these I wouldn't get no little light one this one did penetrate pretty good so I would definitely go that route as far as man you can use this for a lot really dethatching your yard because you got two modes you got an aggressive mode and you got a non-agra A little bit less aggressive and then you can flip it over and do any smoothing that you want to um so yeah I mean for me it's good enough right now there again you won't beat a tractor or a land plane on gravel that's for sure that's the best in my opinion don't have one of those anymore right now so but uh anyway I think that's pretty much about a wrap really and hey we appreciate the subscribers we're getting and um hope you guys enjoy it we're going to try to keep putting
