it another 2jz swap feature [Music] we're here today with Jerry you're bringing the car I'm in no problem time this is a beautiful vehicle what year is this car 2003 the oh three is three hundred with a 2jz swap as you can see go ahead and fire it up for us sir please she sounds real happy oh yeah [Music] all right we're here in Jerry's 2jz swapped is 307 Jerry appreciate you picking me up today man anytime man thanks for the interview absolutely we've got a beautiful day today definitely stoked to do a few hits in this thing so tell me a little bit about the car I know we childhood in earlier is quite an interesting story a bit of a journey to where you got to today yes so it's a 2003 Lexus IS 303 and brought it right to toy-u moto to get a turbo charger car I had like six miles on it off the lawn off the lot yeah brought it to Lance put a small turbo Garrett on their stock internals Lance now being obtrude my lives too and bailando yeah and Lance designed the entire car from from the beginning has a stock 5-speed in the stock clutch put 400 of that blue that meaning the clutch in the pulled that off put the get track p160 on and then we were doing like 450 500 from oh three to like 2012 and and I said there's not enough power man I need more power so I sold that kid redid the whole thing and now she's a thousand horsepower here we go good [Music] so it has dual tile blow-off valves it's got a Garrett GTX 40202 our turbo which is a seventy eight millimeter 1.15 in the rear there's just so much dumb work to this car like it's just got so much work yeah I mean the engine bay is absolutely spotless man yeah beautiful job thank you so yeah Lance first off we designed the whole thing and a lot of people think this is a full swap but it's not this is the is 302 jay-z GE okay so the only thing different if you see the tanks and the top the valve cover it's from a GS 300 Aristo in Japan so that's the only thing that's changed as a top but the head the block everything is from an is 300 has a vvt-i cam gear working okay yeah I mean fully real cool yeah very cool interesting a little different than the usual just straight or you swap or two days walk or just do a two J swap and a lot of people didn't realize that and they said why did you keep it on there I said the cam gear works cuz Lance has used the vvt-i cam to work with the big boost and also if you do a CFM flow rating chart from the is 300 head to the older Supra the is 300 flows and performs better regardless if we did an entire hole over floor not as well just kind of stick with what you got yeah absolutely and build it of course of course only want to point on as well though we have ice cold a simpler look at that is free stock leather there's three guys yeah I mean the interior in here is beautiful it's just you know stock very stock looking it's a complete stock obviously yeah it's uh no loose controllers or anything no gauge pod no booze controller nothing it's set at low boost right now which is like 23 psi probably in 760 horsepower yeah we dialed the cart every which way and Lance is like well how do you want it and I said on kill the cars uncontrollable I'm kill we did a thousand 21 and 826 of torque on 40 psi e85 the car on kill is just dumb it was uncontrollable stock rear end no wide-body and a ten-inch was the biggest I could fit in the rear so just slide yeah I mean it's a luxury sedan it never this car had 140 horsepower when it came out the gate and now we times it by 10 so [Music] [Music] [Music] just give you a little quick for a second third yeah I know and it hooks up good yeah it feels very solid yeah show a lot of people I don't get that either I mean they do there's a lot of guys out there that are doing the Dino Queen thing and like to put numbers out but it's it's admirable when you see someone that you built this car to drive it on the street to have fun with it it's very drivable at 500 I Drive the car at 760 and yeah brand-new toy you are triple Eight's in the back she can hug but second third like she'll move on you the rear end even though it has the is 300 LSD I don't know how good it is so when I say stock rear end on the old one 205 is 300 came with these packages I have the navigation the rear the LSD the L tuned package the L tuned carbon fiber the L tuned mats the everything the car has the moonroof except heated seats so the car from factory is almost balls-to-the-wall there's no reason for the heated seats no no it's great it's beautiful so I have to bring it up I'm sure people give you a comparison I get Jerry Garcia I get Charles Manson in his heyday yeah I'm sure people in the comments yeah I get Charles Manson but like not Charles Manson when he was like old and get ready to die like in its heyday young all right cool [Music] yeah the car has a get track v 160 with a custom eight driveshaft because when you get in this car you start passing like five six seven or more power there's really no viable option and now Toyota stopped making the get track for you 160 so it's value just went up but uh I think the V 160 is probably the best investment anybody can make some on any car not alone let alone a Toyota or Lexus I absolutely agree the power that those can handle is the same with the - Jay Z's obviously as we have the tried-and-true plan for Super's running with 1,500 horsepower and actually my head is built from head games for 1,500 horsepower that's why the car has so much torque so normally when you have a thousand horsepower car of this setup same turbo everything on a Supra you'd see like mid to low 700 torque and at 8:26 we were surprised and Lance said it's because of the head work very nice man yeah it's it's crazy how much power you can build on these things with minimal work yep the right people really doing the job for you that's 23 psi on e85 and probably 750 760 yet not a lot of booze lager na and even with a 1-1 5 the turbo is so responsive because it's dual ball-bearing like you feel she comes on at 5 K and she just goes it never drops back down so no I felt a minute lift it up and just feels good yeah it sounds so good dials man Daniel Wu she's not even on kill right now I got to explain like to everybody like this car is on wastegate spring the lowest setting which is 23 psi I've had this car move on me from third to fourth gear on kill and she slide around it's not a fun day dude yeah man this is a badass [Music] just makes all the right sounds feels so surreal try the ball let it not have like something's gonna yells solid I've done quite a few to jay-z feature is the last few weeks here some getting pretty familiar with these engines and different power setups and this is nice man this is a good readable setup right here thank you quite a long time to get to this point to Briggs yeah man the car was down for four years from 2012 to 2016 because I'm so I'm so particular I wanted the best of the bet there's no corners cut in this car so the head came from head games which was built for 1,500 horsepower they had a one already ready and they sent me that one and I sent them my core the block was done South Florida machine honed depth blueprinted 3.0 setup still of bc pistons and carrillo rods the heads got BC 272 camps it's got one millimeter for a lightweight valves mrs Chiklis buckets full race port polish fully built [Music] I think the power band comes on clean it's got a perfect air fuel ratio it has an R PS triple carbon clutch which was like $3,300 8250 yeah real good so from like five K on the other 283 she's on hell yeah oh yeah ready to go [Music] back home um this car is not uh it's not been without Matt dude she's mad whole lung which is Lance's son the car's not built without him he did a lot of the turning of the wrenches man he's a really good guy real smart cat and he learned from the best Lance is the best Lance's the only one that's ever touched this car and the design the setup the car has three fuel pumps two walbro 2:55 inside and a magnum fuel 750 in the rear tool 1 gallon search tank so the car always has fuel so the two walbro 255 in tanks one is set at an 18 psi relay so it comes on after so you don't flood the search it has 2000 CC ID chapters custom fuel rail 2000 CC items plus an intake manifold you're running it pretty concerned yeah I mean she's like I it's so hard to tell people that she is on the baby of set up you know alright we're into another one guys I think I know behind you our own if you're ready the spoon hits you first stopping power we elongated the stock hold so it actually has Toyota Supra TT CalPERS on the front with two-piece racing brakes slotted rotors so the car would stop because with this kind of power the stock race the back housing of the turbo everything down was Jeff Hopp coated from hot shot's ceramic coated all v-band clamp shout-out to jr. jr. wiring he did all the wiring the car has an AM series 2 with a custom design wiring harness piggyback to the obd2 computer which Lance design and did wire by wire jr. also didn't hook ups as well so for electrics Jr's touch the car everything else Lance and Matt head games built the head the block South Florida Sheen and it was all assembled together yeah half-inch ARP head studs Wow everything everything was done wrong detail-oriented on this build and definitely really appreciate you picking me up and taking this for a couple of tools today man anytime in bottles you know to appreciate you and a lot of a lot of hard work into this thing so it's not a hard walking a lot of money really cool man really appreciate a lot of money for sure especially on this car because everything was relocated the batteries in the back the the ABS the power steering had to be relocated all the electronics and computers inside the am is inside like everything had to be relocated they don't understand like the kind of work and customer just to relocate all that stuff in the car absolutely and make it all work to the abs alone it's very time consuming now I think you mentioned you've had this car for quite a while you're playing with the idea I think yeah I've had her for sale for about two years I'm not hard up to sell her I love her I mean I've even called her Alexis it's my baby girl I truly love this car it's hard to say like oh it's kind of weird that you love a car no like I love this car I've spent my heart my blood my sweat my tears my money in it but I think it's just time to move on for something I've had my fun and it's time probably to move on to a Lamborghini so yeah she's up for sale so maybe we'll see you probably from underground that's our plans yeah because no one ever keeps anything guys [Music] [Music] [Music]
