100 Drops - [Wailing Woods]

what's going on for tonight fans my name's Luke the notable and in this video we're gonna be dropping into Willing woods 100 times wailing woods is one of my own personal favorite locations so I had to come here 100 times sadly at the start of season 8 wailing woods was destroyed and replaced with another location fortunately before the destruction I was able to get 100 drops into wailing woods so join me in remembrance of one of the best locations fortnight has ever seen I dropped wailing woods 100 times and this is what happened dropping into game number 1 this is nowhere near my first time in willing woods I'd come here all the time it I guess it came here it's not a location anymore it's gone I dropped here for fun mostly because of the seclusion even if in this game I did have a little bit of company another fun part about wailing woods was the massive bunker filled with teleporters underneath the forest mastering these teleporters in all of willing woods is kind of a dead strategy because it doesn't exist anymore but I was able to use it to get tons of wins you'll see I'm not gonna go to in debt with my strategies because this place doesn't exist anymore but basically there were four cabins around the bunker that you could teleport to for some quick loot once you got some loot you could come back to the center bunker and use the rift to get anywhere on the map basically but I almost always spent a lot of time farming strong mats in the bunker it's one of the safest ways to get these mats stone and metal then when the storm gets close you just take the rift and go anywhere in the world with the rift you could pretty reliably get to dusty divot and that's when you probably run into somebody wow guys look how hard this plane was to shoot down just the beefiest thing in the world oh and then the guy dropped down I had absolutely no chance to shoot him so ope epic please nerf circle closing in around tilting towers which is honestly an advantage for me got it down to a one verse one me against this nah gaps here circles that end on this tilted towers plateau and pretty much the same way every time someone gets stuck in the mountain and dives I knew he was gonna build himself in and get stuck so I just played my saxophone until I got the victory Royale like I said a lot more wins to come game 2 and let me just tell you now pretty much every game in this hundred drops went pretty much like this one I eluded wailing woods and left like I said I've done this strategy many times got right - dusty divot from there I grabbed a plane and moved on to the end game I made it a point in this hundred drops to survive as long as possible to get more XP these drops took place near the end of season 7 and I wanted to get to season level 100 but in order to do that I had to survive longer in game most of the XP you earn in fortnight comes from placing higher not really from kills every position counts is a massive difference of XP between fifth and first and in this one I made it all the way to third place before being lost in the storm that's okay I still ended up getting almost 1000 XP for that game but of course the guy that won with 10 kills got a lot more than me game 3 same old same old looted whaling got to dusty and did some fighting the circle was closing in around dusty so it never really stopped and using my superior maths and weapons I'm asked 5 kills 1v1 final circle I have to push towards him and I don't have gliders this one will be a little rough he got the early high ground and the first shot which took away a chunk of my health but then I got down to the low ground and hit him for an equal amount I almost put him away but he built walls and that storm was coming I wasn't able to get back to safety and I died that's ok we'll win game number 4 I promise another slow start but that's why I like whaling I didn't have to kill anyone until I was good and ready later on I found a rocket launcher so I easily made it into the final circle for a one verse one I had to push towards him on top of a mountain but I had 5 launch pads I could probably make this happen you gotta find ways to move around that final circle quickly because if you don't you'll end up like this guy falling gears get through my victory I wasn't recording for game 5 all I have is this footage of my loading screen recorded game 6 though look at me doing stuff made it to the end again mostly because I'm good this gameplay was recorded back when you could carry up to 3,000 materials so I built a massive metal sky base I don't know man it was a 1 verse 1 the other guy knew I had a rocket launcher I don't know why he would leave this wall opening his one by one but I thought easy got that win for some reason in game 7 the saturation was turned up a little bit I don't know why I don't notice it for a couple games so just bear with me we'll just skip to the end another final circle 3 in this one I had no materials but I knew the other guy was insanely low on health so I just kept hammering on the damage I knew eventually I'd get him down and win the game then in game 8 the final circle was around an incredibly saturated paradise palms down to a one verse one and used my new quad stair rush technique to scare the other player on the other player's perspective this rush is quite intimidating he couldn't figure out how to shoot out my structure and push towards me I shot him in the head yeah that's three in a row but we got way more game nine everything seemed pretty much normal till I got you for the chiller grenade who is this man I lived he wasn't that good but to make things worse when I used the rift I got the slow rift glitch essentially my gliders just insanely slow I can't move as fast as I normally can I've tried to make it got real close but didn't Hey look at that the glider actually worked this time the safe circle was pretty far but I was able to board this plane lucky for this llama it's pretty hard to aim on a plane bond console oh well I let a blimp I'll take a free plane three people left in the final circle and my health is pretty low had Weider's and that's though so I was able to move and shoot with my minigun pretty effectively last guy was in the air and I just tried to hammer it on make this as even as possible I pushed him before he had the chance to think shot him in the head and won a game yeah game 11 I was able to farm pretty much the entirety of the whaling woods bunker then I slid into that final circle with one cool kill this time I got the initial high ground but the storm was still moving anything could happen other guy ended up shooting me down and I ended up boxing myself in he then challenged me to a spray battle which I accepted then one even just barely game 12 followed up that to kill win by going for a 10 kill win really didn't need to fight any of these guys but I did anyway eight kills four people left and I got stuck in this tree didn't realize how little materials I had until I was up in my own Tower with none I had two launch pads but no materials to actually place them Beverly died nothing much happened in game 13 pretty much just looted in peace had a plane in this final circle no one shot me down oh but I shot down other guys won't get past me balloon man two other guys left besides me they were fighting each other and I blasted them from the air and when I turned around for the second patch the only other player in the game was lost in the storm and I won in a plane I had never actually done this before one inside a plane and I never will again game 14 I came in 14th place interesting I always try to get down into the bunker as fast as possible trying to push it later in the game as a death trap final circle game 15 doing well until I ran out of materials time to do or die he used his rocket to take me all the way down to for help and I took - and couldn't kill him game 16 just gives me pain so we'll skip to the end again 1v1 final circle and I had the other player on the ropes but for some reason I decided to drink a slurp the other guy heard me pushed out and got the first shot also the second which let him win the game yeah game 17 was pretty much the same as all the other ones dropping willing once I made it to the end quite a bit my average place in these hundred drops was berth yeah third place averaging over a hundred games I really wanted to season level 100 so it meant I had to live longer and I did yeah but this game was pretty rocky the whole time now I'm on fifth place with 10 health I was able to get the high ground over this guy but I had questionable bullets to take him down we have one shot at this so I took it didn't make it you know at least the guy that killed me didn't win one thing that's weird about willing was is that it's a great location but so many new bows drop they're like it's insane like this guy literally hiding in the shack of shame the shack of shame this thing isn't good for anything plan turtle up on the bottom of this mountain and use my rift at the last minute I could hear the pitter zan patters of something outside my fork it was a default he had some pretty good stuff though that did draw some attention I got hit with a rocket and then while rifting to safety I was on such low health that I was shot down game 19 I got a very lucky circle and didn't even have to leave wailing woods until there were less than ten people left using the rift I was able to get to massive high ground and I had almost 3,000 materials so this one was pretty easy I was dancing around these other players with my mats and gliders I knew this soccer skin was low so spring into a structure I knew I'd get that kill pretty quickly oh yeah lots XP on that one game 20 was pretty quiet four people left no kills pushed into the final circle a little bit too early and got sandwiched between two players been shot in the back while running away another pretty quiet one in game 21 five people left no kills still a lot of mats and gliders so I was able to move around in the circle pretty comfortably and this one I still had over 1,000 mats when I dropped down and into gaming I also had a massive amount of materials in game 22 just didn't fuse him well game 23 I hit a pretty nice shot and a guy whose head was just barely poking out later on saw a guy poking his head out of a one by one went for the shot but he hit me first late a lot slower game 24 didn't carry a sniper either wailing woods allowed me to get into the final circles pretty easily and with a ton of Matt's consistently and that's why I'm doing so well I just have so many mats to burn I built up and maintained high ground on the other player but he died before I had chance to kill him have I mentioned I love the teleporters half the time you go through them the other players don't notice and you get easy kills again farmed mats forever thought this guy was just wandering around lost one what about of his misery turns out he had tons of weapons got a few other easy kills on guys not moving extending completely in the open ironically I neglected my own building later on which got me killed I also had to slurps I pressed a drink those next game game 26 head rockets in a ton of Matt's in the final circle and it was a victory I would almost always drop into the middle this is the easiest way to get into the bunker there's Luton here but I was beat this time when I got beat to the middle I'd go to the northern or Eastern cabin those the best ones and then I trap up the teleport now this time the other player didn't come to the teleporter on his own I had to go bait it pretty simple you just flick through the teleporter make sure the other player hears you and then flick back nine times out of ten they're gonna chase you through edit the wall make it a death trap after looting I went back into the bunker but heard the footsteps of another player so I just baited him back through the trap I stayed in the cabin and farmed Matt's I knew eventually to come through but he didn't die must have had high health that's okay knew he was low chased improved killed him in the end I was in a giant metal structure on top of a mountain and the other player was lost in the storm I wouldn't won that one even if he wasn't game 28 I was pretty much just minding my own business when this guy came through the teleporter I didn't bait him though just good timing he really seemed to have a healing problem in some of these games I had minis I should take him no Matt's final circle my one chance is this player and I ended up killing him but missed all the materials now from there I was pretty much defenseless against the player in a sky basis oh well still on XP that's okay because game 29 went insanely better until I was shot by a default for second place he had eleven kills this probably isn't his first time game 30 was a terrible drop I missed everything but I guess I looked cool doing it no one dropped whaling besides me anyway so it was fine I was doing pretty good I blew myself up I'm trash listen at the end of the day whaling was his gone you're not gonna be able to get wins at whaling woods anymore but you should look at my overall general strategy here I'm farming up Matt's staying away from people this kind of gameplay got me into the end game sometimes you win sometimes you lose this time I lost whatever my point here is wailing woods isn't the only location where you can farm a big mats and stay conservative half the time the block is made of mostly metal and stone anyway so you know you go there this one ended in a one verse one and I burned way too many of my Matt's getting here there to be honest the other guy didn't build much either he went for the shot just like me he just hit him scheme 33 I was healing up in my own structure when I was attacked by a plane look how absolutely helpless I am to shoot this man he must a glitch because his plane was destroyed just for me shooting it and then when he jumped out I was somehow able to shoot him wait what happened did that big nerf two planes or something no this is sarcasm planes were great later on a little bit dazzled by the promise of loot here didn't notice this guy behind me panicked and blew myself up game 34 started like all the rest of um and then dis like three or four of them game 35 I was in the bunker and another player was above me he thought everything was fine until it wasn't this was a pretty nasty game had to whip out my gas grenades but hey fifth place with four kills is like winning with one kill I did the math Oh double XP hooray remember I was determined to get as much XP as possible so when I won this game I was pretty happy it was insane this for kill win was worth over 2000 XP yeah but then I came back in one game 37 as well let's just say in game 38 I was in a one verse one in the final circle with seven kills unfortunately I didn't get to eight kills the other player was lost in the storm okay that's that's just too much no no I I can't take all this now that weekend then double xp weekend I ended up grinding out a little bit more of this swords playlist it was a squad playlist ended up getting more XP for each win thank you to my wife artist and friend for grinding that out with me so now it's near the end of double xp weekend I'm on game 40 and I'm sitting at level 97 still a long way to go didn't have the squad though so we had to grind out the last few games in solo hung out and dusty divot underneath the trap in this one pretty comfy eight people left small final circle than this guys just standing in the open I don't know why that's sort of a weird loadout don't normally carry clingers this late but might as well do something interesting with them one on one and I'm above him but don't have materials when this happens I try to just do as much damage as possible but the other player can build up too far I did that gray didn't kill anyone in game 41 until this soccer skin met the magic of my minigun oh look at that a nice little one-by-one couldn't even loot him the storm got nasty three left I'm on four health but there's a lot riding on this one it's still double xp now it's two left the other guy was looting below me I can see let's do all open from there I just got down and tried to block his path as much as possible keeping my shotgun trained gunner until he was lost in the storm he's bright real mad when he saw at for health let's see middle drops contestant I chose shotgun other guy chose balloons high one later on lucky landing and didn't get very lucky probably should've just kept building anything's better than jumping off the structure and dying started off game 43 by heating this man to death for whatever reason I decided to use the infantry rifle thing it's not even good when the other guy isn't back turned I played okay didn't keep him to the end of game 44 I need some redemption after that one to other guys left I have no materials so remember I hammer on the damage most the time it can work especially if you're in good position one on one with a minigun the other players should've known that he had absolutely no chance we get at oxy boy winning this one game 45 got killed by a man with 17 kills learned out his twitch name though cuz I'm in control here yep pretty lonely game in game 46 ended in a pretty unique scenario three people left in this final circle and the other two guys are fighting each other I find the best tool for this job as a turret just blast into the structure yeah it really is that easy hey cool if we win this one we're getting season level 98 we did it even though I'm on level 98 though the grind to a hundred is insane if I wanted 100 I had to keep playing and keep playing well here we are again into one verse one I could easily tell the other player didn't have anything to move fast and I had gliders and launch pads I think he ran out of materials and that pretty much sealed the deal I killed him while he was running toward this retreat with the recent nerf - how many materials you can hold you can now only hold 500 materials are way more important importantly but you do farm materials at a faster rate so dropping whaling was I was able to get up to max materials a lot faster gave me plenty of time to grab planes and dive bomb unsuspecting players I'm sure he complained on Twitter after that one the rest of this game ended up being pretty crazy I took second place an honorable loss game 50 is literally the worst game in all of these hundred drops dropped in looted like normal even killed a guy playing a saxophone I don't know he had guns he could have defended himself made it down to dusty dividend definitely thought that shot was gonna kill him but it didn't and I took 20 second place yeah that's actually the worst one not bad I'm persistent though came back in game 51 first kill was a teleporter trap kill unfortunately just didn't get footage of it I use turrets a lot more than the average guy thinks no one expect some so when you whip one out at you sometimes work also I had a soccer skin on so I could smell the little new bones from a mile away I don't know for me at the time a lot of this stuff will just learn together I needed so many wins for a hundred it was insane one nice thing about the new updates is that every time you killed a player you got fifty shield so here killing this useless softer skin actually helped me again wait okay hidden with lots of fun outside dusty dividend game 53 players were absolutely everywhere kept my cool though and made it out on top one kill later and it's a one verse one he actually died really quickly like I wasn't expecting that at all game 54 sixth place game 55 this place makes me ended game 56 but no blinders I have one like this before it's just harder I hit the bush you'd be surprised how much you can get away with these in the final circle but not in this one like a scared squirrel my instincts were to grab the high ground but remember I didn't have gliders then die game 57 I was looting the bunker when I heard another player over me went through a teleporter but didn't have traps I guess a turtle worked pointed it straight at the teleporter and when he came through I unloaded killed him pretty quickly too of course I threw the default dance and farmed max materials pretty quickly and then something else to do but dance the material change didn't really change my strategy I was able to flex everything I could in this final circle and win a game oh yeah default dance on him game 58 I was playing around with new hover board and got killed by a soccer skin and game 59 started with a mighty battle between me and this trough listen kiddos crouching up and down in the middle of the open isn't going to help you not get sniped funny in the end I had a minigun and the other player couldn't stand their own stink game 60 with some okay loot but tilt some soccer skins and upgraded it destroyed some more people and by the end had 1500 mats in the final circle in a one verse one sometimes and I should really even say most times if you have more materials than the other player he'll do something stupid and then that's when you killed him game 61 was incredibly slow didn't kill anyone until I found this wingman with seven people left well now 6 while looting my rightful property I was attacked by another player he must have really wanted that loot or must have really wanted to kill me cuz he did not stop this man was relentless wasn't even taken out by him got killed by this little whip with an hilt the Raven game 62 while looting the bunker heard someone over me I didn't have traps but I had a grenade launcher which worked out to be a pretty good strategy for guys coming through the teleporter he didn't die instantly those wide to go get him trip boards were still new they're an okay item but at this time no one knew how to get off himself some time's it meant easy kills down to a one verse one with more materials than I need and a turret other guy had to push towards me which obviously is gonna be a little difficult with a turret shooting at you he ended up being a little bit better than I thought thankfully though he made the horrible mistake of deploying his gliders just a little bit too early and I was gonna shoot him down and win the game kind of messed around a game 63 i trapped up every teleporter in the whaling woods bunker but no one came through them then later died to a Soccer skins game 64 made it into the final circle with three people left then sniped this red ice king to make it a 1 verse 1 I got the early high ground and two pretty awesome shots just played it perfectly I had the high ground in a stone structure he tried to push up in a wood one guy and I won yeah you got a no we're still in that final circle in game 65 turret - I also sniped him in the toe but it was with the heavies that had pretty much sealed the deal from there I just found my turret into a structure until eventually he was lost in the storm I'm gonna get called a bot so hard for these clips but whatever game 66 I was in one of the cabins and I could hear a player above me turns out he was just an injured man trying to heal I killed him always have faith in the minigun this guy shot me down from the high ground and got the high ground himself a nice mini gun spray could have turned the tide here but instead I went for like a trap kill or something didn't do it well and died he had nine kills he deserved it boogie bombed a prisoner in game 67 despite all the damage I did he got away that looks like a total deathtrap let's land on it I don't think the other guy had gliders or anything to move either like we're playing in season 3 sandwiched the other player between myself in the storm great tactic works pretty much all the time game 68 I had over 1,000 materials but still decided to slip fall and die it's game 69 anything can happen really glad they changed those chug-chug animations looking back these are just boring knowing how to hide in this game is just as important as knowing how to fight this guy did a bad job of hiding and died oh yeah and now it's a one on one other guy was under me and I got the first couple shots looking good for me but then when I dropped down I built myself in the storm oh no got to the safe circle and hit the glider my way out but the other guy shot me pretty well before I could hit the ground I wear this skin when I hate myself playing slow can get to you so every now and then it's nice to come on and try to get as many kills as possible I got six kills but then got cornered by someone totally better same thing in game 71 and 72 but this time I didn't even leave his long game 73 I got a ton of kills tomato but by the time I made it to the end I didn't have much help no gliders and launch pads either so you can imagine how hard it was the softer skin on me I haven't won in a few games so game 74 I dropped in as John wick didn't help yes I'll try the default skin in game 75 see if that works later on I was fighting in the llama outside junk Junction and there was a player above me placed a trap on the bottom of the llama hoping that he'd run through he killed me and missed the trap awesome game 76 camped on top of the castle outside Haunted Hills waited here long enough for a player to fall right into my trap he had Rockets awesome I was then able to use those rockets to prevent myself from losing ten in a row yeah remember I need that XP started game 77 by landing in a tree and tearing my ligaments just had to power up for a second in this one I made it to the end with no kills and it stayed that way I was playing ultra-conservative in game 78 I knew I had to win a lot more games the 60s and 70s weren't kind to me kept it simple with a massive metal sky bass I use my position materials and most importantly my minigun to take out almost every other player in the match yes it's a one on one I was able to keep my cool and build over this degenerate from there I controlled the match keeping the other player pinned against the storm I got up over and behind him for the final shot hungry for that win in game 79 as well only other player in the match got caught at the bottom until the towers lakebed he's never a good spot to be I had a gold scar Rockets and a minigun with a thousand bullets but I didn't have to use them I want easy I think you can squeeze a few more out Circle finale in game 80 I had to push towards the other player this time but I had gliders and Launchpad so it was fine the circle was at polar peak one of the highest locations in port Megan I don't think this player had anything to get down yep didn't even have to kill him that would make three in a row cool if we win this one we get to level 99 I get it but I wasn't recording sorry I do have game 82 though which is obviously in the final circle trying to run the safety and ended up running out of materials and the other guy was poking through but I poked a little harder still hanging out in the final circle in game 83 six solo wins in a row would be a new record for me and I broke the record what do you think was gonna happen though it does look like if I want seven in a row I'm gonna have to work for it no Matt is running from the storm and get a kill on this guy tried to pick up his materials but didn't get any then I proceeded to get shot by the guy in higher position for second place decided that go for another toxic trip for win here the curse is broken it's irrelevant snuck up on this seed a skin and showed in which Cody should really be using trust the bushes friends they'll keep you safe pushing my way to a one verse one where I trapped the other player in shot see I celebrated the only way I know how I can't remember why I put skull trooper on in game 86 in this one I found the guy hiding at the bottom of the map this is illegal so I dispense justice got the credit for it too but all this stuff dropped into the ocean by the end of this one I had a gold pump which is honestly enough the final circle was on top of a mountain so I got on top of that mountain it's simple math also my dad works at Epic Games he got me this sick inbox oh and now I remember I remember I put school to run this dance was out in the store and I bought it so you know I guess skeleton sure game 87 I was sniped that's it that's all that happened same old same old in game 88 pretty crazy in the end whip this guy 4 to 20 with bullets behind me yes record this guy would have had a better chance of beating me if his bridge was twice as thick also he could have built into the tree a little bit but he didn't then die I played squads in game 89 had to get a challenge for more XP and this one it kept pretty nasty outside tomato temple luckily everyone survived six people left and were four of them one killed Jake and then I killed him couldn't even tell where the last guy was what we wanted thanks guys you all did great going for the back to back I got a lot of XP in that last one who needs weapons we can get a pickaxe every game what is this I leave for three seconds I come back it's all in shambles what are those squads games were you just one-by-one picked off I just want to say thank okey Mario dude 72 to defend until the dying breath I played some duels with Jake in game 91 Jake went down near the end but thankfully the match turned into a 1 verse 1 so then I just played it like all the other solos I'm one of those hundred drops I know the rift in the bunker and reeling which is great and all but you don't really need it got surprised by another player hiding in this out I was just trying to Luke but he wasn't very good so it's fine I was in the heart kill poor guys last and I killed one of them but then that prompted another player to shoot a grenade launcher into the structure and kill me wow that's a lot of loot on the ground game 93 was the first time I ever heard an earthquake in wailing woods these would eventually lead to its demise hmm got stuck in a tree inside the storm for second place game 94 had a pretty nice fight with his default I know I'm showing the good parts now but he whomped me earlier we were fighting insanely high in the air destruction came crashing down I had gliders but he didn't I used the turret sometimes just to scare the other players I was on top of polar peak the highest place on the map at this point this man had no chance I tried in game 95 but I did say like three or four of them ended like this in game 96 someone tried to shoot me from atop the bunker and failed I then chased him down and killed him yeah that aimbot dad got me is working out pretty well pretty standard win in game 97 knew all of my ammo until the other player structure until eventually he died game 98 final circle one verse one with his black cat here when you've got to go to the vet it's terribly hard to get him in there cat crate get because you can't he's boxed in yeah I played defense as the storm overtook him and I won the game don't play like that kids it's not gonna work game 99 started off pretty nicely I found a purple scarf I used that purple scar and several other things to get to the endgame while gliding to safety I sent down an airstrike which ended up hitting another player now there was only one left and I knew he was pretty low and with a gold pump that's gonna be pretty easy alright this is it and my math worked out we're just one game away from season level 100 as long as we don't do too terrible I was really making sure I was gonna get that XP I've been charting how much XP I got three two minutes are you coming about the top test really get season the 100 so here with eight people left and two kills I was almost positive that I was already season level 100 so when I was attacked by this soccer skin outside of the safe circle I didn't run away no if I'm being honest I probably should have told you I get it seasoned level 100 and if you get this high you get a cool little emote a spray and a banner so now everyone I kill can know that I play this game way too much and that's it for tonight fans wailing woods I'm sad to see it go and sadly I really don't will ever see it again but you know it's for tonight anything's possible maybe one day our children's children will drop into wailing woods an upgraded 110 teleporters but even if that never happens I'll always remember wailing woods thank you all for watching stay notable I'll see you in the next video
