[Music] hello summoners and welcome to another pro guides video my name is irene and today we'll be talking about faker's top 10 best plays of all time while many debate weather faker is currently in peak form with some even claiming he's washed up and others blaming his lack of success on the team built around him no one can argue his past dominance he's won three world championships is considered the michael jordan of league of legends and to put it simply faker is the goat and if you aren't convinced we'll be looking at some of his career highlights that show why he was once called the unkillable demon king but before we get started today's question of the day is what is your personal favorite play of all time in professional play while he may not be considered one of the best supports of all time or anything like that one of my personal favorites is kiwi kid's 5-man alistar knock-up against fusion in the 2015 promotion tournament with the relegation of his team on the line kiwi kid put his team on his back and hit an insane headbutt pulverize combo in the fifth game of the series in a play that gave his team control of the game he went on to hit a second huge knock up on four players that allowed his team to push for the end shortly after there's just something inspirational about a support carrying that hard with everything at stake a close runner-up for me is one game that i cast which was renegades versus dignitas and you guys know which one i'm talking about and one last thing be sure to visit us at proguides.com so you don't have a renegade versus dignitas moment we have the best roster of coaches top-tier live classes from instructors like mike young and sasukio and courses covering a variety of roles and champions from your favorite pro players like doublelift we also have a brand new vod review feature and we're super excited for you guys to try it out the way it works is you send in a replay file and the coach sends you back a fully reviewed vod it's actually a super convenient option that saves you guys a ton of time so i would recommend you give it at least a try now without further ado let's get started to start things off at number 10 we'll be looking at this clip from lck summer 2016. faker zazir much like leblanc is one of his better champions and for good reason and while many highlight reels show him going for the big three to five man shrima shuffle this clip shows a different level of mastery at a critical point in the mid game where dying could mean losing baron and even the whole game faker face checks a bush seemingly dooming him to the grey screen instead look at the measured use of his cooldowns he holds his flash and zhonya's as long as he can to bait the enemies in as far as possible so much discipline is needed to push defensive cooldowns to their limit like this i'll figure up in the top side comes out here from score of the route as well from the chin it looks like he might go down nice emperor's divide to stop the jump in from johnny faker trying to find the kill this onions comes out and now duke has arrived trying to lock down arrow gets up with the never move and faker is going to stay alive the tether coming down on johnny as well he goes in for the head butt but cannot find the damage we're going to see the replay but don't mistake this for faker being fortunate the start of the pick is very good but you see hachani gets too greedy looking for the flash headbutt pulverize has it denied by the emperor's divide but notice that faker has flashed this entire time waits for the zone it waits for katie to fully commit to a bad fight where they could never have as many members as skt and then just win the fight from there being so steadfast on his summoner spell cooldown as always let's make things clear faker has more than just mechanics he understands the game to a nearly perfect level he even knows when he can make potentially game-changing plays from behind in this semi-finals game against g2 at 2019's msi skt is down 5k gold at the 19 minute mark but that doesn't stop faker from going for a very aggressive play stealing nar's ultimate as silas and using it to land a massive five-man knockback into his tower faker has the knowledge to know where there's an opening to go in and the confidence that borderlines on cockiness that lets him pull the trigger as soon as that window opens not gonna get killed just yet chain of corruption has already been used here comes wonder he eats an enchanted crystal arrow to the face and fake has been able to join the frame five members of g2 trying to push forward but the minion wave is getting obliterated manages to steal the norm faker turns around he hijacks g2's chances listen to that crowd as skt turn it around fake a faker playmaker that that song that tune that rhyme was written for him because the number of things that he has done just like this and we can see the siege is being set up by g2 they have top lane pushed in they have bot lane pushed in everything looks great for them and g2 is like right let's find this quick pick onto khan but then mata comes in for the save once again and when the qss can walk up that aggression with two cleanse effects so re-engage starts you think okay we're just gonna back away from here no harm no foul payton hasn't hijacked an ability just yet sees wanda rolls in five ultimate it doesn't win them the game but i'm sure we'll track back if skt take down the series 3-1 and remember one of faker's best mechanical plays of all time took place in game three of the grand finals of lck's summer 2015 playoffs in this play we see faker no stranger to off meta picks picking his riven mid lane into what most would have thought was a difficult matchup in cassiopeia and it's important to note that faker used to be a riven one-trick mid-laner before his professional days although wolff is roaming up for the play this is still a very impressive kill he's diving cassiopeia who has both flash and ultimate available all the way at her tier 2 turret not many players would be so daring to go for this high-risk play but with his confidence and near psychic ability to predict what his opponents will do faker makes it look too easy five years later and that flash plus sidestep combo still stands out as one of the best solo kills in history in my book if you think bengi was would be a little bit nervous about repelling under turrets wolf coming in double six they get the flash from nothing faker comes in he's got the old he's got the kill beautiful beautiful game from skt dodged that petrified haze so beautifully i almost couldn't see it animation on the ultimate nearly flashed it expo let's watch this one again let's see how fake wait for the animation comes now flashes wow beautiful this is riven mechanics things faker does now for something a bit more recent we'll look to the finals of the 2020 world's regional qualifier the tournament that determined the last team that would represent korea at worlds this year in this play we see faker's response to being chunked out and threatened with a dive where most players would fall back and concede the turret faker decides to hold his ground and even aggressively fights back with his insanely high game sense faker always knows when he can turn a bleak situation into a victory while yes they did go on to lose the series and fail to qualify for worlds this year you can't say that faker isn't trying his heart out with a play like this lee getting genji back into the game and genji i mean i i feel like they they're they're ahead right now they're down in gold but because of the way the comps work that infernal dragon giving over so much in terms of stats i think baker's dead actually oh he's going to manage to dodge that he's still dead yeah he's still dead he's still there he can go oh wait hold on never mind okay he's going to get turned around now effort is angry after what happened the last two couple of kills here comes kana that teleport out of genji is so late i don't think he's going to get there on time he gets there right after life goes down bdd trying to go 1v3 he is incredibly strong right now he's going to get that nuke ascend oh arrow though from zoomies faker take bdd out of the fight and faker is getting in there he's tall at damage and he will be able to take him down that is an ace to the side of t1 out of nowhere as they turn around at worlds 2017 faker came back for an attempt at a fourth title in this group stage match versus cloud9 faker not only survives a 1v2 but turns it into a total win for his team against early game junglers like reksai that require early ganks to snowball a lead getting denied the chance to gank can be bad but being double killed that's just fatal faker once again shows that he doesn't just play to survive the gank he pushes his limits with perfectly timed abilities and summoners to bait the enemy as much as he can for his team to net a win in the play ganking faker is like struggling against quicksand the harder you try the more you lose generation whereas smoothie went for both seals and quintessences so they have a little bit more but midlands gonna have to match it moving in flash four baker does what he can with the petrifying gays but it might not be enough he'll come in through big make his way out completely the flashback contracts now in trouble faker pushing for a little bit more is he gonna get the first block here that's it from baker super clean out play there you wait until the wreck size shows for the ultimate as he's coming forward as she is coming forward then you flash you can dodge the damage contracts kept their flash either that's a tough ass and we can see the play one more time and it's super forced from cloud nine as well the ultimate was fine from faker but this decision to dive the timing of the flash all incredible and then contracts with nowhere to go at the same time jarvan going towards the middle lane they'll make the plane there's no halting out for that in this next clip also from the 2017 world's group stage skt is playing from a huge deficit down 9 kills and 10 000 gold despite this faker and company don't hesitate to get aggressive and force a fight hard hitting a massive wombo combo that completely turns the game on its head this fight is honestly one of my favorite moments in worlds of all time sure it was just the group stage but having the confidence and coordination to go for such a forced engage from so behind takes guts and faker and the rest of his squad deserve props for being able to pull the trigger here is hiding he's coming back we're gonna come in here comes your initiation [Applause] they did it they fall back from a 9 000 gold deficit i want a team but against all expectations rumble could not get the perfect equalizer because in half a second everyone's health bar exploded one mistake and a team like skt will punish you and they will take it all i have talked to multiple casters and analysts so far during worlds leading up to worlds talking about skt as a team and when you watch skt and they're down 10 000 gold you can never count consider edg have no vision on the red side where is twitch is what they should be asking when they see ahri they can probably guess but this wombo is out of this world it all starts with that engage from wolf on the recon and pinky picked up fannie late in the summer's play but had some very impactful performances on in the playoffs using it here to start the fight set up the shock wave from fake and of course easy damage for bang as well and that's now a baron to skt from 11 000 gold to 4 000 gold skt leblanc is one of the highest win rate champions in faker's champion pool and with her incredibly high skill ceiling he's able to show us the gap he has over his opponents in this clip from lck 2019 spring all it takes is syndra missing her stun for faker to know he can fully commit to the fight at this point sacrificing himself for the trade would have been enough but faker being faker he plays it so perfectly that he escapes alive securing not one but two kills in this early game skirmish being able to bait out an early victory like this with such a strong early to mid game composition was crucial to snowballing and netting skt this win it's kind of a trend in both solo queue and professional games the enemy team throws their players at faker hoping it works out and when it doesn't faker and his team end up getting kills and taking a lead off the enemy's own desperate attempts at bringing down the unkillable demon king interestingly teddy is electing into the ice corn gauntlet but the only real threat of look at baker trying to go 1v2 and beat that one out but the flash knock-up comes in and clin is late but it doesn't matter he cataclysms the clone and faker gets away dred's super low now faker trying to come back the queue it's gonna miss and teddy coming in the chains are gonna light up faker tosses into kind of as you can't lock him down at all baker gonna set up the play for two kills for skt and that is a massive tempo so it's not like he's tping too far off the mark true from where he would be going anyway i just want to see this speaker play this was insane cinderella's balls are freaking out right now that is she has already gone beyond the event horizon and this is what's so surprising right here is that baker was marked by the ignite on the right-hand side but dread not able to tell which one was the real one faker goes right back in with the chains this clip takes us all the way back to the 2014 all-star game pitting skt against fnatic while skt had a decent gold lead in the game a small throw gave fnatic the opening they needed to attempt to take baron and turn the game around instead faker plays the role of hiro taking down both cyanide and baron nasher securing the game for his team this was the closest skt came to dropping a game at all stars paris making faker single-handedly responsible for keeping their record blemish free but i don't feel he's gonna be able to get away yeah he's definitely cornered they're gonna take him down the question is what will fnatic do with this two main members of skt off baron is up that's the jungler and the jacks down however you got to keep track of teleports name of the game here once it back does come back up he'll have his teleport they can turn it into a four versus five at baron if fnatic are not careful they will take too much damage from there they have to take this baron down fast you can see mandu over the side he's got stranglethorns available if he wants to just throw it in there for some interference faker's looking to maybe try and make a play he's gone in he's gone for cyanide he wants to try and pop himself maybe enough he gets cyanide down before the baron drops the baron is so so low it's going to get started away by faker this is tragic for finale pepe's gonna get dropped there what sublime play by the season three world champions i told him they gotta keep track of the teleport there and they don't respect the teleport from impact he turns it into the four verse five the baron pit baker here comes up with the place though he targets the jungler takes him down no more spite and then he goes back in for the baron as well it's pretty good chances for uh zed to actually get the baron as well when there's no spite on the table because he has that passive our number two took place in the 2017 spring split of the lck here we see skt is playing from a massive deficit up 12-1 and fresh off a bear and kill kt took chase in what they thought would be a free bonus kill after securing the big purple worm instead they overchased into a choke point where a combination of nautilus and nami were being used to disengage but faker instead of falling back to the safety of his base noticed the opportunity and made a very aggressive flash over the blue buff wall to land a massive shockwave netting faker a triple kill and his team the ace this play was so huge that it earned the title the shockwave heard around the world their way right back over to this baron where they will start it up and you see in that fight why it was so important that they took the early objectives because ariana is never grouped with a front line in front of her to put the ball to cancel out the death mark baker has been out of position because it's very hard to have position and we hear an ultimate pop and we see a turn a triple kill for him pawn trying to get out with his life but it just doesn't look very likely and good god off the back side of the barrett skt blow the game wide open hoonie he lands the dredge line pawn dead to right will go down that's an ace for sk telecom t1 that right there is the 4 000 elo shock wife that is why faker is the ultimate game breaker they cancel out the baron on every member oh it looks so sweet for katie they thought they could get the turn and then it all lined up for faker look at this wombo he'd been farmed up he hadn't got to the fights but that was the turn of all turns and before we get into our number one play we have an honorable mention this play took place in the world's 2016 semi-finals between skt and rox tigers while this play wasn't a huge game-winning ultimate or even a kill at all faker without flash is able to survive a three-man gank from jace elise and zyra with only his ghost and ultimate to spare as i said this wasn't the game-winning play per se but getting caught out at this point in the game would have given the tigers the map control that they needed and could have even cost baron living here is what allowed faker to go on to win this series and the following finals netting him his third world title these users are left to be had and everyone else is able to disengage properly but now they play towards top side they do see faker and the cocoon's not gonna land though so can they get anything else the flash chase it's smith on to looking for a little bit more and he's not gonna go down faker with just the ghost gets away with it he knew they were coming the second gorilla charged at him in an empty lane and to end things we'll be looking at what is probably the most widely viewed play in not just faker's career but all a professional league of legends for those that don't know prior to season six there was a rule for best of fives in the lck if a series went to game five the last game would be blind pick no bans if you've ever heard the phrase wtf two shenz but had no idea where it came from now you do anyways according to that rule when the series between skt t1 and kt bullets went all the way to game five to determine who would be the winners of champion summer 2013 faker mirrored reused zed pick and showed early in his career that he was more than just good in this godly play even with ryu getting the jump on him under tower faker is able to play the fight perfectly frame by frame and escape with the win he would go on to win his first of three world titles this same year but no play there or since then has topped this insane 1v1 i know right i'm like even though i only have a mat on the floor i think he's in the bed oh faker may be in trouble your death mark tries to clean it up for ryu oh look at the glass look at the moves faker what was that baker with a huge play the qss i can't take that i actually want that duel i can't telecom charges didn't die then well he did eventually but not for a while then gets the drop on to faker right there gets him down to about a third and we see the death mark come down right there from ryu the immediate cleanse look at the shadow swap so the qss removes the depth mark and then at this point he gets enough damage with the flash afterwards to jump rio tries to come in but here we go [Applause] again and that is our list of faker's greatest plays of all time remember to let us know your favorite pro play of all time in the comments below we really love to see what you guys have to say be sure to sub to the
