10 Days of Awe Are Here! - 5782 Hebrew Calendar

the 10 days of r here it's a time period of reflection it's a time period of repentance here we are in 5782 now this is uh the first video after our crossing over live uh video that we did on monday sundown in israel and so now where do we go from here what is on god's calendar at this point hi my name is eric burton and welcome back to the groundbreaker international youtube channel it's good to have you here with us once again and today i want to talk to you about the 10 days of all it's a very important time period you're actually in a very significant time period even during the time of rosh hashanah uh you know that we just did the let me straighten my microphone up here we just did the uh you know rosh hashanah the beginning of the year but now we're in a time period in which uh we are in the high holy days of israel so it's a really interesting time period i haven't talked about this too much lately we've been kind of focused on rosh hashanah but what happens after it what happens during these 10 days of all and everything leading up to the day of atonement which is the last day so let me explain to you first of all what the 10 days of all are what the significance of it is in israel and what's coming up here on the day of atonement what that's about and then i want to give you some information regarding uh how that correlates to where we're at right now and what god is willing to do within the church hi sister nikki b it's good to see you again sis i so appreciate you um so the 10 days of evolved actually begin uh on rosh hashanah it actually begins on at sundown on september the 6th right whenever we crossed over into 5782 right there in that moment not only was there a changeover in the period of years on the hebrew calendar but there was a change over into the time period of reflection and so the 10 days of all or the 10 days of repentance as they're called it's pronounced in the hebrew um it's pronounced and i'm going to do my best with this asarite teshova some of you that speak a little better hebrew could probably do a lot better than this old indiana boy right here as uh speaking that um but that is the beginning of rosh hashanah to the end of yom kippur so 10 days after so all the way up to september the 16th now we are in a time period of the days of all or the days of repentance what is that so these 10 days are actually a time period that jews reflect repent and they get their lives right and in order with god for the upcoming year it's a time of introspection it's a time of uh of repentance of turning over their lives to god completely of turning anything over to god that they haven't up until that point i'm just telling you what the jews believe and i'm going to tell you the importance of it of where we are right now and why that's important to you right now it's a a solemn time these are very high holy days in israel right now it's a very solemn time of subdued reflection and true repentance and leading up to what's called the day of atonement and this is where the origins if you want to go in your bible this is where the origins of yom kippur begins yom kippur being the day of atonement the last day of the 10 days of repentance in levitic in leviticus wow i'm trying to talk here today leviticus chapter 23 verses 26 through 27 says and the lord spoke to moses saying also the tenth day of the seventh month shall be the day of atonement it shall be a holy convocation for you you shall afflict your souls and offer enough offering made by fire to the lord and here's the reason for the day of atonement after moses came down from sinai with the ten commandments the people were in the midst of a great sin they were actually in the midst of sin as god was giving them the law of how not to sin how not to sin against god so moses went to god as a go-between now how many of you know that now we have a go-between we no longer have to slaughter the blood of bulls and goats and lambs we have the ultimate sacrifice jesus christ he is the ultimate goal between between us and the father and so he has made atonement for our sins now and in exodus chapter 32 verses 30 through 33 it says this now it came to pass on the next day that moses said to the people you have committed a great sin now i will go up to the lord this is moses speaking perhaps i can make atonement for your sin then moses returned to the lord and said oh these people have committed a great sin and have made for themselves a god of gold yet now if you will forgive their sin but if not i pray blot me out of your books book which you have written and the lord said to moses whoever has sinned against me i will blot him out of my book in other words moses became the go-between in the old testament at this point in time between god and his people that became the day of atonement now obviously christ has taken that position as the great go-between and there's a special grace on the go-between uh of sin during this time of yom kippur now here's one i will want to relay to you for this time period right now we are in a a special time period right now as we speak that god's grace is on repentance now god is always receiving repentance any time that you need to repent of sin let me put that out front you can repent of your sins there's no special time period that we have to wait on uh now because jesus christ bought and paid for but this is a great time right now as us as the body of christ to reflect on our lives god are we positioned correctly have we done anything are we doing doing anything right now that would keep us from becoming your holy habitation because right now being the year of the bait the year of habitation we are the living breathing tabernacle of god and we are helping to establish established places of revival established places of god's habitation but here's the thing church we can't do that if we have dirty hearts you can't come into the place of habitation you can't become an established place for god you can't help and establish the place of god if we have dirty hearts so this is a great time period for us in the body of christ to repent of our sins to come to god in in introspection and ask him lord is there anything that needs to come out of my life is there anything that is keeping me because maybe right now you're saying to yourself absolutely nothing is changing for me right now i feel nothing during rosh hashanah i felt nothing during this time period and i feel like there's something off well the something off could very well be something within and of yourself and so we constantly need to ask ourselves are we positioned correctly look i do that each and every day and i sit right here in this very area and and i asked god lord am i positioned correctly today to do and to carry out your will not just for my life because it's not just about me it's about my family it's about those around me and it's about the kingdom look right now i'm looking at at least 62 people live as of this very moment and there's been people coming on and off that are listening to me talk and if my life is not right with god that means i'm passing off dirty stuff to you that means i'm passing off a wrong anointing to you so i've got to make sure that my life i carry you know something very heavy to bring to you all and i want to make sure that my life i'm exactly in alignment with the will of god in the moment everybody say in the moment it's in the moment i thank god that that you know we've i've repented of my sins whenever i was four years old i think it was but we have to constantly have a heart of repentance you know i believe fully that it's not a a legalistic thing you know it's not something that you have to say well you know i've got to make sure i repent every day i got to say the word i got to say the word my dad's on here right now he's on you're supposed to be on vacation randall um but you know every single day it's good to have a heart of repentance it's good to have a heart that you're asking god in my position correctly and is my heart fully sold after you as my heart fully rendered after you god so these 10 days of repentance these 10 days of awe as it is leading up to the day of atonement and leading up to the day where we believe that christ has already fulfilled the day of atonement that's something that he is already fulfilled thanks dad i love you and so it's interesting here i want to give you four things that the jews the jewish law believes their actions for repentance now this correlates completely with the body of christ um four different things they're actual actions that jews believe that you take as a matter of repentance now we know we're we're repenting to christ right that every bit of repentance goes to jesus christ we're repenting from our sins but just it's very interesting um jewish law has four different areas the first one is cessation from sin that means completely turning away from sin you know what we practice that in christianity we believe that we when we repent of our sins it's not just hey sorry about that lord you know i've done some bad things i'll probably do it again but you know here i am no no that is the wrong way to look at the grace of god that is sloppy grace i believe in the grace of god but i also believe in a heart of repentance and a heart of truth keeping a heart of truth seceding from sin means that you're turning away you're repenting you're going the opposite direction of sin even the jews believe that that you aren't planning on sinning again it's not a planning on sinning again it's completely turning away from sin seceding stopping sinning it's easy as that the second area that they believe is a clear resolve not to sin in the future now i touched on this just a second ago but i'm not planning on doing this again so those go hand in hand you're stopping sinning you're stopping planning on sinning and then the third area is having genuine remorse for your sins look it's not just a catch-all hey i'm going to pray this prayer everything's going to be absolved i don't really care that i sin but i'm just trying to check it off my list so i can get into heaven it's having general genuine remorse for your sins and i believe in the church today it would be so great to get back to that in the body of christ to actually be sorry that we have sinned against god when we sin to actually be sorry and to be shameful of our sins and to turn away from that and say lord i'm ashamed that i did that and i never want to do it again i never want to hurt you again this right here is is good preaching to the body of christ it's very simple but deep at the same time because i'm showing you something that even the jews believe these are the four areas that of actions of repentance that the jews believe that we can correlate into our lives today the fourth area is this verbal confession of sin in leviticus chapter 26 verses 40 through 43 says but if they confess their iniquity in the iniquity of their fathers with their unfaithfulness in which they were unfaithful to me and that they also have walked contrary to me and that i also have walked contrary to them that means opposite of them and now also walk contrary to them have brought them into their land of their enemies if their uncircumcised hearts are humbled and they accept their guilt this is a lot of ifs okay if they do this if they do all these things then i will remember my covenant with jacob and my covenant with isaac in my covenant with abraham and i'll remember and i will remember the land the land also shall be left empty by them and they will enjoy its sabbaths while lies desolate without them and they will accept their guilt because they despise my judgments and because their soul abort my statutes in other words if they if they repent with their mouths and they believe and they walk with god this is old testament here then god is going to give them back he's going to restore now it's interesting that paul says in romans 10 verses 9 through 10 that if you confess with your mouth the lord jesus christ and believe in your heart that god has raised him from the dead you will be saved so if you re receive god if you repent with your mouth you confess your sins with your mouth and you believe on the lord jesus christ with your heart god is going to restore your life with him back to him it's as simple as that and he you know your mouth will line up to where your heart is i said this in a video last year your mouth is going to line up exactly to where your heart is located and if your mouth and your heart aren't lining up god knows it god knows the contents of your heart god knows every secret secret and every mystery that is hidden within your heart and your mouth confessing those things is only going to release the content of what's on the inside of your what's on the inside of your heart so now we can confess our sins to christ we can confess our sins to god and christ being the great go-between he is the aleph in the top remember the aleph being the go-between between god and man the aleph is a picture of two yards and a vav one yard the hand of god reaching down to man his creation the other all of us sorry the other yod is the hand of man reaching up to god and there is a chasm there is a blank in between but thanks be to god that there's the letter vav in between the vav is very interesting because he is the word of god the vav is the number of man so it's a man that comes between god and man and it's the number six so that's the number of man and the vav is also representative of the word he is the living word he is the truth and the life he is the bob that comes down in between god and man his name is jesus christ and he already fulfilled the day of atonement for us he already fulfilled that that high holy day for us because he is the living word of god that died of physical death came down in uh in fleshly form god wrapped in flesh died for us physical death and now he is a risen god he is a risen savior that has atoned our sins and all now all we have to do is confess with our mouths and believe in our hearts that jesus is lord and we will be saved and our lives will be restored to him in fullness and so today during these 10 days of all be sure that we take this time to reflect on god and that we reflect on our lives in him this is a vital time period we're believing god for many blessings we're believing god for salvation signs wonders and miracles to follow those who believe him but at the same time we cannot go into a time of habitation in establishing the presence of god if our hearts aren't right so this is a solemn time make sure your heart's right with jesus right now make sure that we're repentant of anything that we've done wrong of any even being out of the will of god shifting and moving out of the will of god it's vitally important right now that we stay connected to the vine that we can stay connected to the truth of god's word and that we stay connected to his will in our lives it's vital right now church it's vital stay connected stay connected with god in the presence of god and he is going to bring you deeper and deeper into that secret place with him if you allow him to amen listen more to messiah in the name of jesus through the power and the blood of jesus christ god i pray a hedge of protection of protection a dome over israel right now of protection from those rockets and those things being fired at them right now in jesus name somebody agree with me right now for israel and that that the true messiah would be revealed to them and that protection would come to god's people
