have you ever wondered what happens to the old machines that become obsolete or useless there are tons of old airplanes old tanks abandoned cars and even trains out there ferried remotely in some lost forgotten place left to rust away in the elements from tanks to car's mysteriously left in a dark forest check out these largest machine graveyards tank graveyard 20 miles from the Russian border in a secret Depot in Kharkov Ukraine lies an abandoned yet heavily guarded grave site of more than 400 Soviet era tanks in the 1960s this was a thriving tank repair plant that specialized in the overhaul and modernization of older models they'd repair anywhere from 50 to 60 tanks per month but this productivity wasn't meant to last at the fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 the newly independent Ukraine couldn't seem to muster the money or the drive to upgrade these old machines but however slow production got the plant never officially closed a handful of mechanics still remain on-site to repair their current tanks and that means the place still needs to be under lock and key it is speculated that perhaps the country is holding on to them in case it needs to revive its forces for another round of warfare but hopefully it won't come to that plain graveyard the world's largest airplane graveyard resides in the davis-monthan US Air Force Base in Tucson Arizona better known as the boneyards this is the site of the 309th aerospace maintenance and regeneration group or a Marg which maintains over 4,400 disused warplanes and finer jets basically they keep America's warplanes in tip-top shape this place is home for anything and everything from cargo planes to freighters and even the f-14 Tomcat fighters that are featured in the popular American movie Top Gun the boneyard is died before he could finish the project and the building was bought out by a man named Frank Frank quickly discovered that the building he just purchased was breaking down and it would cost too much money to fix when authorities condemned the building Frank just up and left leaving behind hundreds of motorcycles to rot once the public caught on motorcycle enthusiasts made pilgrimages to this bike
