10 Awesome LS Swaps we found at LS Fest!

[Music] [Music] one of the reasons that we really excited to come to LLS offense for the first time was weird wacky swaps just like the DSS you know you find those motors swapping anything and you find LSE's and just about anything as well all right normally I see one of these in a field at a track I'm not gonna stop but that's right LS fast I already know what I think is gonna be under the hood yeah what are we looking at here it's a 1958 VW Bug it's got an ls1 basically a lot of bolt ons for LS stuff nothing special but the car is pretty light so it helps it to run good how much of the way 23:50 with one gallon of gas and me in it really yep powers of me I'd say that it's around 400 horsepower 400 but it weighs 2,300 pounds I'm sure it's fine well good luck to you this weekend yep have not heard that for yeah got a few of both to set up under the hood we looking into six liter out of a 2002 suburban d1 pro charger with nine pounds the dyno was like six 609 on a dyno to the engines l 33 out of a truck 7 mil turbo so the aluminum block can pull yep it's cheap it six-bar cheap 56 car this thing just got a lot cooler what was the idea of at one time did you add the car I've had a bar for a long time I'm a DM technician so I parts are and you know you run across stuff all the time and I know the motor it's like back my hands right just made sense what's your what's your front till I knew what it was because the white body threw me off it does it does it's probably the only black body really steel wide-body ranbir so how did you piece all this together what what kind of components are under the body as well suspension was first and originally we had an inner core link and it's a first-gen Camaro front subframe so we went with [Music] and we did a lot of measuring and you know a lot of engineering we're not engineers and determined that we can get a fifth dimension what's the power plane under the hood 5.3 liter right now a solo yeah it'll eventually go I've got a camp at home yeah even simpler I know is like crazy what colors that's a Washington balloon that's up 1930 sport [Music] aside from sending those fender flares out to rob we did all of this in our garage we don't have a lift we don't world farce for a living I did an electric pole I had to learn how to well the interior my sounds it was really good show a little bit of ingenuity and a lot arm and leg for it was that motor toes we didn't know that when they got the car it ended up being pretty damaged they had like mud in the driver bodies and everything so that's crazy request a Ferrari transmission it's still got the Ferrari rear trans oh we took a Ferrari tour to put a c6 shaft in it and then basically for a but it's basically good words ders yeah tore through the factory Ferrari lovers right now it sounds terrible that's perfect because it's supposed to sound weird Oh God look at the interior oh it's even got the gated shifter in there yeah everything suit [Laughter] you are kidding when you get this thing running wow that sounds weird well basically like two straight six is fine yeah it's like two six to the deep an argument so you guys make these yourself yep we tossed the block and the hits and we do a bill it crank and feel a camp get the cams ground bygone in pop cans Estrella Frank I always say the piece of bill up for the crank up one of my first car yeah it's true so what's the displacement of the v12 so they these won't happen actually be 592 but we normally do nine point five liter which is an ls6 for kind of standard LS stroke so that gets you out to nine point five liters what's the most power one of these is made n a so we're about to brawl el mao in horsepower one on to the donna which essentially go into these guys so we know it'll make a thousand we hope it'll look like before but you know everyone's gonna want to know what's the price taking one of these love lessons underground to get an engine build a kid which is blockheads Frank you're handsome you're an ancient builder or you've got a good engine builder or you're a shop think of it as a 30 gram premium to you - you build says it's gonna be doing dealing with three hundred thousand ten tons that sort of money on the Kazi sites the first but if you want everything on this run stand the high-tech computer of the - drive by wife pedal literally everything all you need to do is tell us how long you need the wire to go to the hall tech reveal firewall fifty five grand plug and play like eternity for a while yeah definitely I'm sure based on the cars I can imagine that's going into that probably Nokia price take some wild build leadership from Australian yeah we ship them in from Australia if we get the alcohol actually manufacture in the US the US market I really believe in local manufacturing I do and if we can get volume we'll stop making the team that's the goal so you show me the motor and I just noticed that you have one in this cheetah yeah go for it it does no modifications to the chassis I mean as long as a straight-6 as wide as duplicate so we end up being able to fit them in lots of things but yeah Craig roof from cheetah revolution these are not your old cheetahs that you've probably seen or heard about this modern chassis modern c4 Corvette suspension and we just knew this initially it will auto cross car if we got the torque of the 12 in there so let me new to see the Craig who is building our SEMA built so what's wrong so this is gonna be in SEMA yes so we called the cheetah evolution because it's always changing it's kind of like our our turn on it took a little poetic justice right and design so it's it's larger than the bill Thomas original okay so my design we take it for a lap around the park as might have shared a picture of it yeah it really was it looks insane because I know it's LS has got turbos out the hood like leroy and all that what and it's a Sentra which doesn't make sense in my head so what is the set what's going on with the car 94 Nissan Sentra rear-wheel drive converted using a 240sx rear subframe foot brake car with its now 6 liter LS lq9 stock it's the nine gaskets your sloppy LS bill yeah it's got these little baby T threes on it we need upgrade at ephors but it's just a crazy car it's like crazy yeah it's a crazy little perk no idea we have drove this engine about three miles down the street okay well what was the street ended so what what what made you think this was a good idea this is my mom's car when I was looking at a junkyard it had a real bad oil leak when I was about 15 and she put in the junkyard she's never fixed it bought new parks as old they when I was turned 18 they were gonna crush it and I was fixing go to college and I was like I'll just buy a new Japanese reman engine and put in a drive to college so I did that and then about house I'm like well let's just do something crazy so yeah the sr20 or the turbo on it and then and I read online there but I was like oh you can't put a v8 Nissan Sentra a small measure well get your get you everything figured out the wiring fixed we'll uh we'll see you out there on this try good luck to
