good day folks and welcome back to the channel I have an 1830s percussion pistol thinking about getting a more modern firearm for home defense it's really neat yeah I love guns from this a it's all in relatively good shape but there is a lot of wear on it how much were you looking to get out of it 12200 okay I'll give you 4 and a qu and I shouldn't even go that high how about 440 and I'll feel like I won how about 430 and I'll feel like I won how about 435 and we both win okay sounds like a deal I bought a gun I don't think I did bad these were gut guns as far as time period 1830s 1840s what you got a problem I'll settle it today we'll show you moments when Rick's blind gamble made a fortune 1905 Sideshow poster I admit that this type of posters are definitely something I'd love to collect I find them kind of fun don't you well so does Rick so here we go we have a 1905 freak Show magician poster from the great parai troop Chum you idiot that looks nothing like me I got it in an estate auction actually it wasn't a sideshow this was a VOD billion Act is basically this group of people they would go from theater to theater around the country sword swallowing magic tricks balancing acts all these different things they would do on stage this is all Stone lithography right right it's printed completely different than modern printing this is cool one thing that concerns me about it this is one of the most copied post as there is out there I think it's real but it's also got some problems a lot of water damage right towards the top I feel pretty confident this poster is legit this guy brought in a 1905 Sideshow poster 100% the ultimate variety show I mean look at that Rick is pretty confident by the paper and its condition decided to gamble and offered $600 for it the seller didn't even put any effort into negotiating all right so what do you want to do with this I'd like to sell it if I could I'll give you 500 bucks I was looking more along the lines of $1,000 it's going to cost me 400 bucks to have a nice frame and everything else I'll do like $600 that's the lowest I'll go yeah I'll $600 bucks but yeah it's cool let's find out if it's actually valuable Chum grab me that poster about the other day wow oh my God look at that you see his name up there that sign is covering the great victorina troop yeah so they didn't bother to spend the money to make the new posters they just put a little paste over so what do you think is this a copy it's still El lithograph poster I mean you can't find those things anymore so is it the real deal yeah it is legitimate one of the best posters I have ever seen this in my opinion would retail for a minimum of $11,000 but it's up to 2,000 to 2500 what' you pay for this $600 bucks I give you 601 right now when the expert came down and took a look at it it determined it's worth around $2500 totally worth it Renee mcgree real or not this time Rick is taking a huge gamble on this p painting which could be worth millions if it's real so I have a customer in the store with a painting that he says is painted by Renee mcre called him my art guy when I have him take a look I got my fingers crossed here we go wow Renee MCR it's an amazing painting first off Renee Margret was one of the founders of the surrealist movement he's from Belgium from there he went to Paris this is the place to be he hooks up with Picasso at that point he's not doing very well at all he starts doing a lot of knockoffs so there's a lot of people in the world with a Picasso that's fake but it's a real margar see the seller says it's painted by Renee mcgr I feel there's so much to lose here I mean there could be a lot of knockoffs out there and believe it or not the expert's opinion isn't enough this time only the rename agree Committee in Belgium could say but if it's real it could be worth $3.5 million so how do you feel about it it looks very good this is a very early painting you can tell just by the smoke damage that's on it this hung for a very long time somewhere the painting style is very very hand the signature is perfect it's always a risk forgers aren't stupid so what do you think the bad news is my opinion means nothing only opinion that matters is the Renee margrit Committee in Belgium you have to take it unframed to Belgium so what's it worth this painting has two states of being one state of being it's worth nothing the other state of being this is a $7 800,000 painting but the market is moving very very quickly a piece that was worth $800,000 20 years ago is worth $3.8 million now cool thanks man there's a few different things I could do for you I'll give you 10 grand and I'll take all the risk or I will spend all my money I'll take it to Belgium I'll do everything for it and if it turns out it's real I'll give you 400 Grand I'm straight up gambling here and if it's fake I lose all the money I think I'll do the 10 grand we got a deal Rick decided to take all the risk and offer 10,000 for it even though the painting didn't turn out to be real the furniture is master class and sure made his trip over there worthwhile Chum and I are here in Belgium waiting on the verdict from the reget hopefully they'll verify it as real oh my God that took forever is it real I don't know they hand me this they hand me a letter I'm going to go sit down in the park and read this letter all right Rick you ready to see what $10 million looks like one more time Dear Richard Harrison the committee met yesterday and is of the opinion that the work presented is not a work by Renee margarit thank you so what do you think that means that means it's not real I had my doubts Rick would you like me to point them out to you not funny I'll give you 100 bucks for it no 1830s percussion pistol if there's something you can't go wrong with it's a pistol this has got to be one of those times right I have an 18 30s percussion pistol thinking about getting a more modern firearm for home defense it's really neat yeah I love guns from this air a lot of antique pistols I get in here are made really fancy they're not really made for personal protection this one is definitely different it's all in relatively good shape but there is a lot of wear on it how much were you looking to get out of it 12200 okay if it was in better shape I could see it even worth 1,200 bucks you know I'll give you 400 bucks for it can't we do a little better five I'll give you 4 and a quar and I shouldn't even go that high how about 440 and I'll feel like I won how about 4:30 and I'll feel like I won how about 435 and we both win okay sounds like a deal what you're looking at is a pretty cool 1830s percussion pistol the problem is his expert is out of town and Rick takes a big risk here and purchases this pistol that he's actually never heard of I bought a gun I don't think I did bad okay so what you have is an English traveling pistol these were gut guns as far as time period 1830s 1840s it's an English maker and it's a very well-known maker knock knock it looked like Nook I'm afraid to ask I think I paid $435 something like that for it okay you paid a little bit too much damn it how much profit we going to make you're going to get I want to say 6 to 800 for this you know as far as I'm concerned any profit is a good profit well that's true the bargaining part was hilarious though passing the ball finally settled for $435 let's see if it was all worth it when the expert got back and checked this all out it turns out the pistol is worth about $600 to $700 so long as there's profit right it's not going to blow up my face or anything is it I hope not all right guys so who's the test dummy sorry Chum let's do it thinking you're in the streets of Paris just minding your own business and you see this guy approaching you giving you kind of the stink eye he's coming at you to rob you so you got to protect yourself you know what you got to do all of a sudden what you got a problem I'll settle it Miss you did the job good job Sun tuneup a seller came to the shop looking to sell his Sun tuneup tester what do you got I got something that a car guy just can't live without and it's a sun tuneup tester I why don't you bring it to the back I got a storage place back there haven't these things been replaced by a laptop back in the day this was a really big deal you really needed one of these to work on a car this measures volts and ohms this measured how much vacuum you're getting off it is that an actual oscilloscope it basically is an oscilloscope yes this thing is pretty outdated in terms of Technology some mechanics can actually use this I got to find a guy who still uses equipment like this so how much do you want for it I'm thinking 600 is the bargain of the century for you I'll give you 200 bucks for it how about 400 275 well as long as you promise not to tease me when I cry when I have to leave this here no problem which back in the day was definitely a futuristic artifact to use it's not rare to see Rick and Cory not seeing eye to eye but when it comes to this sun tuneup tester Rick is sure of this item and already has a buyer in mind I don't know if all this effort will pay off but if it were me I would definitely buy this in a heartbeat I'm sure any mechanic would love to have this at their shop R paid $275 and ended up paying a little bit too much for it but at least he got free drinks am I right it was a stupidest thing you ever bought it is not stupid what the hell are you two talking about okay I bought like a 1970s 1980s old school car analyzer I have a buyer lined up who Danny you don't see this every day brother this is cool man it talks to old cars I like that all right million dollar question you want to buy it okay so that's why you call me it's cheap enough and it does work what's your definition of cheap enough 500 bucks what will you give me for it I bought 100 bucks I paid 275 bucks for it give me a profit you may have overpaid for this if I bought 175 bucks $28 I'm only making five bucks and I buy drinks tonight how about 100 bucks cash right now and I'll buy the drinks tonight just admit it you paid way too much for this thing I'm never going to admit anything I'll see you tonight thank you brother I'll see you tonight man we'll have a good time this is where we'll end our video we hope you enjoyed
