stab-proof so it shouldn't it shouldn't stab ya know stabbing but don't try that okay you're very welcome [Music] [Music] just a simple little rub right here and any of that tiny bit of surface rust in there will be converted over and then we can remove it again now these are kitchen knife so and I will be using them in my kitchen so we're gonna be very careful with this stuff I don't want it to wind up in my food but it's not a concern to me because I know I'm gonna be able to get it all back off [Music] [Music] [Music] I just ground this entire knife and you guys didn't get to see it so this was that weird flu pshh ap knife and I thought it would make a great fillet knife I had no use for it as a bread knife yeah just did not record sorry about that anyway cool shape lots of flex and kept it cool while we were grinding so she's good to go I think I'm gonna go with these scales right here it's kind of a cool wood [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] at this point I feel like I'm wasting a little bit of time but it's still got what it takes it's just it's nuts [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] the problem I always struggle with when I polish an axe is that you can't see it so it's not as polished isn't normally getting my take them do about 6000 dent fingerprints all over it 6,000 grit before I even polish but these I just knocked it out real quick because I hope this actually get used [Music] [Music] the creature still on the table still working there's all the grease that came off of it gonna put a little water with this degreaser was guys it's gonna stay there until you wash it off it's just gonna keep working [Music] two seconds about everything that's wrong with this handle it has heartwood in it it's got a slight bow to it very very slight but it's going to bow to it the grain is good but that heartwood runs all the way down yeah these these handles are not very good the reason I'm using this handle and I'm having to put so much work into it is because I don't have any hickory of my own so if I had American Hickory I would just cut this out with a bandsaw real quick shape it was my diagram and I'd be done it's actually it seems to me like it's more work to do it this way I'll work on getting some proper Hickory so that I can make better ax handles but until then guys this is what I'm stuck with again [Music] [Music] really cool let me grab this plane and show you real quick I did not paint this at all guys that black that's that CRC finish it just looks like a patina it's all metal finish so beautiful I got some oil prints on the front but I'm okay with that bottom is super super clean so I'm going to show you now that I've shot this I'm going to show you how I'm going to protect this because the good land Fest is coming up in November and I'm gonna give all this away in the raffle maybe is one one unit but it's like two months it's raining every day here in Texas that stuff's gonna rust so let's protect it I saw a couple on my test where someone grabbed a three I think the number is 86 I can't remember anyway there's another corrosion protection there's SP 400 and then there's a three something I'll put a link to both of them in the description but they sprayed it real quick and then they wet it so that doesn't really work guys this stuff is like freakin cosmoline I'm not gonna say it's like cosmoline it's it's easier to get off than cosmoline but once it's on there you are absolutely protected you can see the color change alright so we're just gonna throw this back up on the hook that's all I need to protect right there okay I really hate spraying this guy but we're gonna have to make it more light coats so this is really good for any of your machine surfaces as well and you'll be able to wash it off there you go protected not really worried about this side like I said wow maybe a little right there it's got a little patina and then of course we're gonna have to do the axe and the axe has a lot of shine to it the problem is showing you guys this shine it never works out and then I guess what do you think so now you got a pick a root on this side and smudge is all over it it's so hard to keep a mirror clean anyway let's spray it let's protect it so that whoever wins it gets a shiny axe so when you guys come out here I'm not going to clean this off we'll just tell you to watch the video and understand why it has a protective coating and then you'll be able to see for yourself how this stuff works that's a little thick but you know you don't have to put it on their face I don't think I can give this fillet knife away unbelievable I love it there you go straight as an arrow it's pretty cool right thanks for watching guys I'm gonna leave two
