foreign [Music] because this is just the Beast layout ever this is something that is going to use up some patterned paper or plain cardstock if you would like to I'm going to show you lots of options today but it also uses up any scraps any extra focal points that you might have lying around or if you have an idea for a focal point and just need a really quick easy but effective background today is your day so we are going to start off I'm starting off with some patterned paper today just go through your stash I'm sure you've got some I am coming to the point where I have several paper pads that I'm sort of coming to the end of and I've just have a lot of loose pieces so this is also good for that this is the honeybee I think this is called the bee's knees maybe um it's an older paper pad I'm definitely going to the end I've just got a few bits and pieces left there's still plenty still plenty I can do with it but it is well used and well loved and then is exactly why I want to purchase things so that I can use them up so I'm just choosing a couple of different papers from here again taking papers from the same paper pack means that they are probably going to coordinate so this saves me having to think about it full stop now I'm going to sort of do a two for one card situation here now the measurements I'm cutting for this are 3 and 7 8 by 5 and 1 8. then you want to cut the first cut that I did was one and a half inches and then I'm going to turn it around and do one and a quarter inches this way so it really doesn't matter the these measurements are very flexible basically you create a rectangle so it doesn't matter whether you're making a um a two size card or a five by seven card or a six by four card you can cut a rectangle and then when you've got it a looking portrait you can cut slightly off to the left of the center cut down there turn it all sideways and then cut again slightly to the left going down there and you're good to go the measurements really do not mean too much unless you're doing it like this uh where you're doing a two for one then the measurements need to be the same but I kept it pretty um yeah pretty standard so three and seven eighths across by 5 and 1 8 that was the whole uh rectangle that I sort of used and that gives a nicely Gap in between and then I cut at the 1.5 inch Mark and then I turned it sideways and cut one end a quarter inches in so this is just the layout that I am going for today now this is is very versatile I'm going to show you I think I do five or so cards six cards and then I end up showing you today and they're all going to look slightly different because this is just as I said we can work with this layout now I am just using some liquid glue to pop these flat down now if you have some double-sided paper that is you could just cut one sheet of this and then use both sides of it if it has two different patterns on each side I'm using liquid glue to pop these down but you could also pop these up on some foam tape or some foam dots or layer them up on several pieces of cardstock uh just to give them a little bit of Dimension but most of these cards are going to be through the mail today so I know that I want to keep them relatively flat so I try to keep for me that means no more than one layer of foam tape absolutely um usually I wouldn't do like a foam tape from my card base onto my card front and then add the embellishments with foam tape too so I wouldn't do that if I think they're going to go through the mail but when they go into my stash everybody sort of knows what they're looking for they know when they're going to hand them to somebody or whether they need to go through the mail so people tend to pick you know what's appropriate for them so I like the liquid glue because I can wiggle them around that's for sure this is the leafy dies one from Pink and Main it's a favorite you know it's a favorite and I had this was in the back of it already I've just used some gold mirror cardstock with the outline die so with one of the leaf dies and then Vellum with the other die and pop them together and that is the gorgeous result that we get this is how easy and quick it can be but I'm also going to go a little bit more as well now this is the Colossal cone flower Stamp Set from Gina K I'm really loving this one and using it in lots of different ways but today I'm just going to use the sentiments from it these three sentiments are very versatile so I'm going to use the wishing you an awesome day stamp it in some versafine Onyx Black Ink it's just going onto that pattern paper so I know it's going to stamp beautifully I was uh pretty confident I didn't need my stamping platform I'm going to add a little bit of liquid glue I'm leaving some spots so that the um Leaf doesn't doesn't lie sorry completely flat but that is a personal choice sort of thing I'm making sure that there's enough on there that this Leaf is also not going to go anywhere if it does have to go through the mail or if it gets shuffled around on the way to its Journey now I'm taking a couple of little strings of burlap um this was Billet ribbon but I took it apart made a tiny little bow just because I think this extra little bit is sort of needed on this card it's a pretty plain and simple card didn't take me long at all trimming off some of the hairy little extra pieces and then trimming off at the ends just when I see how um long I want those little in bits to be put that on some matte medium as well and make sure that this dries this glue is super strong so I know it's not going anywhere it also dries clear without a Sheen so that's really important when we are card making and that's card number one done and that's card number one done because we already had the focal point ready to go now this set from crafter's companion is called great minds drink alike and I love these little pandas I talked about this last time I love these pandas I also have a zebra one as well called simply wild about you this means with these black and white images of the pandas I don't have to do much coloring so I'm very strategic when I am purchasing these damn seats I really like these animals they're a little bit fun not something I do too often but I do find that they go well with people who are wanting to grab them out of my stash so I do continue to buy a few of them and it's fun to do something different and step out of my comfort zone now I'm just showing you these could really go in lots of different layouts as well you super don't have to stick to what I am doing there if you wanted to turn the card sideways I am going to take the Little Panda again I had already pre- uh colored in his little arms and so easy because it just takes some a little bit of black ink and I was done then I'm stamping the sentiment happy birthday dude from the simply World about you I know there are plenty others in this set as well if you're not for the zebra there's a giraffe one that I own as well which I love and I think there's a couple of other creatures as per usual I will link them down below in case you're interested in checking them out there are other videos that I have using these as well and then I'm going to just to give them a little bit of standout I'm going to pop them on a little bit of gold I think this is gold satin cardstock um so it's not the mirror it's sort of um it's sort of got like a matte match Sheen those two words don't go together but anyhow Not Mirror cardstock then I am actually just going to put all of this down nice and flat but the sentiment does have some foam tape behind it just to help it stand off the background so at the moment I just have some tear tape from Pink and Main that's the double-sided adhesive that I'm using at the moment pop this down pretty much square in place and then this one could go either right underneath it but I felt that it looked a little bit better there over to the right you could also add lots of little embellishments and things but I'm going to keep this one pretty simple I do think the gold helps the panda really uh jump off the background though and separate it from all of those gorgeous Blues now next paper pad time to relax I love this one I have also done videos using this paper pad I think I have maybe three videos of this one now these are the kind of back side these are all double-sided so that's the back side there's the front sides and all of these three are going to mix and match together so you could really go to town and match and mix more than just two colors but I quite like the look of sort of um the diagonal colors you know the top left and the bottom right the same and then the top right and the bottom left are looking the same as well I'm just showing you that all of these colors go together no matter what combo that you tend to use they're all going together they all came from the same paper pad and that is just a happy hack that I like to use always because it stops me having to second guess if things actually go together so from these I'm going to do pretty much the same as I did before so you've already seen that now it's cut up done with the magic of editing and we're going to put these ones together now these have the yellow on the back I decided to keep the pink one I actually used it for another project I stopped in between here and used it for another project but that's okay we can come back to it later so you could do the two solid colors the purple and the yellow together I decided to do the purple and the florals and then the yellow and the florals together just to really break it up but as I said lots of choices especially when you're using double-sided uh cardstock that means there are lots and lots of choices and again this is my preference to use some liquid glue at this point because sometimes my measurements are off as well or I have cut my card bases wonky or who knows lots of different things go wrong so it really does give me the option to even things up no matter even if my measuring was not perfect all my cutting was not perfect now for these two we are going to use some of the paper pad to do it because we can find some of the bits and pieces in here that can help us complete these this is one of the pages and it has these sort of little frames ready to go I guess it does have all of these it's so hard they all have beautiful patterns on the back that is one of the pitfalls about double-sided paper is that it can really hinder your usage if you find something on the back that you really like and don't want to cut into and Destroy sometimes it's best not to look but who can really do that so I'm going to cut out a couple of these and that's going to help us create these um the two that we have in front of us I love that big pink frame and then I'm going to use the smaller one that has a little bit of purple around the outside too again all of the flowers have the pink in them even if I didn't use the pink um background I can still include that pink frame this is the backing piece of one of the yellow Bits of Paper so it all coordinates nice and easy I just thought that frame needed a little bit more around it um just because the little bit of delicate frame it does have is not very wide then of course you can just go through your stash and find some sentiments that are going to work in the middle here this is the Gina K I think it's called big birthday or birthday wishes or birthday celebrations as usual I will have these linked down below I've talked about this recently that birthday cards are definitely what I use most of I create most and I use the most I give them out the most and so I do tend to get a new birthday um Stamp Set probably my most often purchase is the birthday ones because I tend to use them to death use them over and over again and then after a few months six months I am I'm well stamped out of that one and that's okay I sort of give myself permission to do that to get new sentiment stamps so the Gina k a couple of Gina K ones are my most recent purchase and boy am I loving those so that's the reason that you are seeing those over and over and over again now this one I decided to change it up and turn this Square sideways so it's sort of like a diamond and popping it down a little bit these are just all super easy in quick cards this is what I mean it is the best layout ever it really does make life super super simple especially if you need to bulk make cards and they can all be slightly different but pretty much all the same now the last one I'm going to do I end up doing a little bit different than these ones now this one here I'm going to add a little bit more into these obviously there's lots of florals and leaves in the pattern already so I'm taking one from Pink and Main this is the curvy leaves die it's one die but I'm gonna snip it in half so I can use it in two different directions and it's just cut out in some white cardstock and this one here the curvy leaves as well as the leafy dies one um from Pink and Main and pink fresh studios are just my two absolute favorite leafy dies they can just be used and I don't even know how many videos I have used these leafy Dyson but I'm going to say it is a lot a lot so um they are just so handy that's one thing I would recommend if you are getting into card making and you are getting into die cutting is that you have a good solid Leaf die it goes with everything it's not quite as much as a floral or a flower but it really can go for all genders and it works in lots of different occasions as well so we like a good range of uses for things I did pop a little bit of liquid glue under the leaves so that they couldn't go anywhere but that is card number three and card number four done and dusted as well the next card for the previous ones I have used some patterned cardstock for those of course you can absolutely ink up your own cardstock would look beautiful too this is the double-sided cardstock this is just plain and simple but what I love about this is that one side is the darker version of a color and the other side is a lighter version of the color so they're always going to coordinate again I feel like it's my little cheat so one side has a dark pink and a light pink one side has a dark blue and a light blue so you can see when I kind of curve it like that the different Blues so I'm just going to use one sheet of cardstock to create this one I have cut it up in pretty much the same measurements I think this one might be slightly different because I was distracted but the same sort of uh scenario really easy layer and of course you can change it up you can change out the layout and have the larger piece at the top left corner you can have it any way that you wish um that's going to work now this is the these gorgeous 49 and Market laser cut elements I could buy all of these Under the Sun but I tried to make sure that I use up one packet before I go and give myself permission to go and purchase another one so these are some parts from this one I'm not even sure if this is available anymore if it's available it'll be linked down below but if I can't find it easily it probably won't be doesn't mean it's not available sometimes if you search elsewhere but I link to just a few shops down below um the ones that I can find and then if not I'm not sure it's either not available or I just can't find it um so I have the Gina K this is the same one the big birthdays or birthday celebrations and I'm going to stamp this in some versafine Onyx Black Ink I have some of the laser cut elements out ready to go I have used those laser cut elements again on I don't even know how many cards I absolutely love them I love 49 and Market designs it's right at my alley but the reason I love the laser cut elements is because they have no white border around the elements so they all pop out nice and cleanly you get two you get four big four inch by 12 inch sheets so there is so much so many so many elements in there and it really does go on forever they're a really good price point and I just think that these are just really fabulous so I love using these I'm going to cut up that beautiful um sort of half circle cool that they had just so it fits my circle a little bit better you might need to add in a few elements to disguise little bits and pieces so I can pop a little Rose in there just to make it look like it's all continuous and I've got my little bow as well I am going to pop some foam tape behind this one because all of my other elements are nice and flat and then we are going to pop this in pretty much the same place but this one is using the plain cardstocks in the background rather than any patterned paper at all pop my little bow on I even think a real twine bow here would look stunning as well but this one it was in the kit so we may as well use it and then I'm going to take just a few little leaves Here There and Everywhere and sort of pop them in just to add a little bit more oomph to that little bit of wreath so I hope that you have enjoyed this video today I do think this is a fantastic layout um if you have any more go-to layouts then let me know in the comment section down below what do you do when you just need to sort of not think about it and you can just get something together this is pretty much mine I must say um as always if you would like to recreate some of these cards or you were inspired by them then I would love to see them and the easiest way to do that is over on my Facebook page it's called come crafting with Natasha and that way I can chat to you there as well but if you would like to support my channel I also have the buy me a coffee which there is a link to down below which I so appreciate other than I will see you in the next video thanks bye [Music]
