dollar tree video this time i am sharing all my secrets and tips for shopping at the dollar tree to save you time and money including where and when to shop to find those hard to find and best items that we all see on instagram but we can never find in real life also a few hidden gems you may not even know existed along with a few new items they are now selling at dollar tree all of that said we're getting started right now it's not really a secret that dollar tree carries a million and five different style of organizational bins in a million and five different colors but have you ever checked out their party section they sell catering trays like this extra large dip tray for only a dollar or they sell this style of dip tray a little bit smaller but it's also taller year-round in their catering section and so the cool thing is these work perfect for office organization bathroom organization and just to show you the size of these dip trays which i'm now using as my drawer organizers here's one of dollar tree's regular acrylic organizers you can pick up in their makeup section both dip trays are double the size or taller than the regular organizer two other hidden gems you need to be keeping your eye out for are there ice buckets and the scalloped container so the ice bucket is probably my new favorite find ever i love how it's clear it's got a handle it's slim but it's long nice sized container for under the sink storage and organization whether it's in your kitchen or your bathroom i love to use both of these containers because they're clear i can see through them so i see what i have i'm not running out and i'm also not going to over buy heads up and word to the wise if you're looking for the best plastic dollar tree organization you're going to be shopping in spring so they're beautiful colors they're nice shapes and styles they go into stores late february early march and they have these low profile bins that are longer in size perfect for pantry organization that's how i organize my pretty much 90 of my pantry was organized with dollar tree items but if you don't want to wait till spring or your dollar tree just never carries anything like that no worries my friend walmart's got you covered today you can walk in there and get these extra large bins beautiful colors they also carry white for only 98 cents dollar tree carries so many items that are amazing that are overlooked or maybe you're just not even a regular dollar tree shopper so you don't even know that you can get such a great deal for a dollar like these beverage dispensers one of my favorite finds cream of the crop buys from dollar tree super stoked to see them carried in white this year we had a pink one we purchased three years ago unfortunately someone in my family didn't get the memo these are not dishwasher safe so we did purchase a new one this year i've never had any issues with the one i had last year or this year they also sell one dollar coolers which are great for track meets or like i do i set these on the porch when the kids are playing outside so they can stay hydrated and they keep their dirty feet outside or they don't need to run inside to get a drink the drain reader is dollar tree's version of the snake it's five star rated i've personally used it for multiple years they work pick them up great deal for a dollar new this year no touch keychains you'll find these at dollar tree near checkout or i've seen them in the tools section but what you won't find are these no touch keychains for a dollar or less at any other store or online great deal definitely check these out now these hooks are not new not at all in fact i have personally used them in my own home around my own home for over five years now i love these because not only do they lock them place and not only are they a dollar i would pick them over any other walmart suction cup hook that was named brand these bad boys work great this is what i've used outside to hang my seasonal wreath on my windows well before thanksgiving well after christmas and i have never had a suction cup flap my window i have had a wreath or two fly off i just fixed that by using a little pipe cleaner by the way these are the same exact suction cups not just the same brand and dollar tree also carries 360 yard sale garage sale whatever you want to call it stickers for only a dollar they also have really large signs that come in different colors in my opinion this is a better deal than walmart's garage seal kit where you get three much smaller signs and only 210 stickers last in this section that you may not even know dollar tree carries because i didn't until last year or you overlook it are these plant hangers those are found in the garden section they work great indoors and outdoors they come in three colors my favorite are the black and the golden brown burnt orange whatever you want to call it i love these and like i've said in previous videos no one would ever know these are just a dollar from dollar tree okay now let's talk about the elephant in the room or the or the elephant that nobody can find in the room which is which is how to find the harder or newer items there are actually days that you could be or should be shopping to get the better items these are tips my store manager gave me and i'm passing them on to y'all most stores receive their new shipments on tuesday or wednesday the day after shipment is actually the best day to shop while they're unboxing more specifically 10 a.m to 3 p.m and if possible show a picture to your store manager i see manager not cashier employee because the store manager is the one that's checking in inventory and they're more likely to know what they have on hand and that's how i scored these brand new cake trays and all the cake trays minus the ones i had in my cart and other people had in their carts were gone by the time i checked out now obviously you can do online shopping free shipping to the store not to home if you ship to your home it's kind of expensive but also heads up if you do free in-store pickup you will have to purchase like 12 to 24 items you know that's unfortunate but fortunately you can actually exchange items at dollar tree just keep your receipt when most people think a dollar tree or dollar store clothing they think of actually i have no idea what they think of but just so you know dollar tree actually does have some great deals new this year is this brand juncture and these slides now these are not going to be winning us any fashion awards but these are great for watering the lawn or running and taking trash out also i've always avoided dollar trees flip-flops in the past but i'm really impressed by the brand juncture so i picked up a pair of flip-flops they felt more thick and sturdy than previous years i'm going to give them a try out so far which is three weeks in they're doing great you can also purchase t-shirts from dollar tree don't expect neiman marcus style folding or customer service or anything like that you know what i take that back dollar tree's customer service has always been great but listen you're gonna have to dig you can find hidden gems and like i've mentioned before you can pick up their puff paint or dollar tree's tie-dye also works great we've already done that two times this year it's such an inexpensive and fun summer activity for anybody between the ages of four to 444 for real everyone enjoys tie-dying they also will carry cloth tote bags in their clothing section sometimes by checkout which is really a great deal if you've ever priced tote bags at michael's or hobby lobby one of my favorite finds and maybe you don't know this either because i didn't are the reusable grocery bags these mamma jammas are actually really large they don't look like it hanging up on the shelves these are such a great buy super large almost the size of ikea's big bags but i like the shape better there are a few kitchen hidden gems i feel like don't get enough credit from dollar tree i've watched so many dollar tree best finds tip videos so let me give you a tip into the know these season shakers are a great buy but maybe the best find in my opinion are these mixing bowls these are top rack dishwasher safe i love how they have a poor side really large size and they have a handle so the kids use these i use these for baking it's so much easier than using a bowl you don't have to have somebody like hold the bowl so you can scrape out the extra to get the brownies of the cake in also this ice scoop we use this in our freezer and we've had one for i don't know over five years it's another long-term buy i love i know every single dollar tree best buy must have secrets hacks tips whatever you're watching will mention their dishes these glasses more specifically because they're super thick are a great buy but y'all walmart's actually cheaper and it's easier to find a whole set you know walmart's usually more stocked up so it's only 6 cents depending on how far away you are from walmart or what your store has on hand walmart and dollar tree are toss up now their chargers are something totally different i love their rose gold chargers because it matches my forks and spoons and you can spray paint them any color you want because it's not food safe to begin with so i love their chargers that's a great deal these four packs of glass these are not plastic these are glass little dip cups are perfect little ramekins for dips or portion size of m m's if you're into that thing i'm more of like a whole bag type of gal and their home decor section can be great but not always well i guess it depends on your style i'm not big on the monday should be optional sign i don't need these two signs but i know that these birth announcements and growth chart signs that are really large would cost at least 10 to 15 anywhere else on etsy or big lots in stores one of the best home decor deals are there photo mats a photo map will take any picture up to the next level and they sell photo mats all the way up to size 10 by 14 they also sell 10 by 14 frames if you're a regular dollar tree shopper i don't have to tell you twice and if you're not a regular dollar tree shopper well i won't tell you twice and tell you once that their bowl filler and their vase fillers are such a great buy and find these wood stems are a fan favorite and my favorite they're kind of hard to find so pro tip they usually hit stores around august which takes us into our next tip y'all if you guys get offended by seeing seasonal items out too early either avoid dollar tree or you're gonna have to overlook it and here's why dollar tree's fall stuff goes into stores as soon as july and christmas for september but it's dollar tree so it's not like it's gonna be restocked it's kind of like a scavenger hunt or an easter egg hunt once it's gone it's gone so get past the it's too early to see this and get into the mindset of i need to grab this before it's gone because that's how dollar tree works now a few seasonal finds for summer that's in stores right now are these decor nets i have an idea stay with me i'm gonna try to make a stuffed animal storage net for only a dollar if i mess it up no sweat off my back another great summer seasonal find are these luau skirts more specifically the adult size because they're super long and you can use these for fall to decorate your porch or for wreath making it's like the raffia but it's not tangled and you i think you get more for your dollar if you don't get more it's definitely more convenient for your dollar now let's check out dollar tree's gardening supplies my opinion besides christmas one of the best times to shop at dollar tree you can get one dollar glove so if you mess them up it's not a big deal use them for diys i buy my seeds at dollar tree i've had great success i've mentioned the past i'm not a great gardener i'm more of a throw and so hope it grows type of gal and it does grow it works out great literally what you just saw that's how i plant my seeds so here's a few weeks later this next clip is taken last week once again throat and so i don't do any fertilizer nothing special sometimes i forget to water the seedlings but they always work out now let's talk about a few items are actually the best deal around which are their garden flags their plant hangers even compared to walmart it's four times the price so the dollar price cannot be beat we all know that dollar tree carries their solar lights but new this year or at least new to me are there globe solar lights walmart's globe solar light is almost four times the price and it's you're pretty at night you're gonna get the same look but if you're wondering what dollar tree's globe solar lights look like at night here it is i i love these i wish i would have picked up more i love love the way these look a few bath and body items i don't buy makeup even if it's named brand elf i don't buy any of that at dollar tree i'm stuck in my ways i use what i use which leads us kind of to the first item for the last nine years i've only used opi nail polish until last year i ran out of big apple red by opi ran to dollar tree just for a one time quick touch up picked up their red nail polish i was really impressed with how it went on and i'm not lying when i say i will only use opi and then the gel kiss nails a second so opi sell better i'm not gonna lie you know a nine dollar polish is not gonna be better than one dollar but it's a great competitor also love their dove moisturizer and these plackers i only buy from dollar tree i love the green ones they are a better deal than walmart or dollar general their pregnancy tests also work i can first-hand experience they work no different no better no less than any other two-line reading pregnancy test you'll find in stores i don't know if their drug tests work i've never tried it but let me know in the comments i think their toys really get a bad rap and i've read so many blogs that say like avoid all toys but i would say their summer toys are a step above a little bit better than their everyday toys for example these cyclone flyers staple at our house these are no fail we've had the same ones for the past three or four years my kids love them i love them all the neighbor kids love them they're a great buy [Music] but dollar tree also carries name brand toys y'all like these hot wheel tracks and you may be thinking okay well if i buy a little bit of a larger set online at walmart or something like that it's a better deal but it actually isn't so here's amazon the best deal i could find if you spent 20 at dollar tree you get the same size track set except you'd get all long track pieces no short track pieces now let's talk about their make it blocks which is their brand of legos and they are compatible with legos i love how they sell them by color you get a 48 piece or a 25 piece also this is a much better deal if you spent 66 dollars at dollar tree you would get way more than 1 500 pieces and that's even if you bought all of the 25 piece sets i promise you can check my math y'all and that's the best deal i could find too now let's talk about dollar tree's gift wrap and i want to be 100 honest with you it's thinner it isn't a very long roll but for birthdays weddings occasions where you just need to wrap one or two gifts i think it's a great buy for christmas i find it a better bang for my buck and just higher quality to spend an extra dollar and a half at dollar general to get wrapping paper where dollar tree kills all stores no one can compete are there gift boxes you can get three beautifully printed gift boxes for only a dollar that's not like one gift box and then the two behind it are not printed all three are different prints and beautiful prints for just a dollar also their gift bags are second to none you can extra large gift bags save yourself two or three dollars from any other store you'd be purchasing them from and my favorite gift bags are their solid color gift bags paired up with their decorative napkins for a very unique look by the way they're solid gift bags you get two or three for just a dollar now i got some insider info for y'all about dollar tree's crafter square every dollar tree should have or will have a crafter square section by the end of this year or next year it's just going to be kind of like the organizational section or the kitchen section all dollar tree should have this area that doesn't mean they're all going to be created equal now if you can shop on the unboxing days like we spoke about or go to a larger dollar tree in your area you can find some great deals here their sticker section they've really stepped up their game that's one of the best spots in my opinion if you don't have it cricket if you're a scrapbooker if you're labeling check out their sticker section and one of my favorite new found gloves in the crafter square area is their spray adhesive that's a long time item they've carried i just tried it out last year but their wreath forms are such a good deal too so they'll sell seasonal wreath forms like this bicycle wheel or the witch's hat that comes back every fall but their every day wreath prices can't be beat not even hobby lobby when they were taken their coupons for only a dollar willow wreaths foam wreath forms and then knew last year this 18 inch wire wreath form is such a great deal now let's talk about dollar tree plus for a second i don't like to be a negative nancy nobody loves a negative nancy but can i be a uh a real honest rita or a practical patty here for a second dollar tree plus every once in a while you'll find great bargains like this stool or this doormat which is a very nice quality for five dollars and a larger size although you can get the same thing at dollar general for like three to five dollars too i was not impressed with anything in the crafter square except for their wood rounds and occasionally it's hit or miss they have good organization items like this bin i purchased a few months ago for five dollars it's made in the usa and it's the exact same size as a different bin that i saw at target for only eight dollars i'm able to put my light bulbs in it above my pantry so yeah that's a great deal but a lot of the items are stuff that most people think of when they think of dollar store and maybe it's because i'm in texas and we were kind of the pilot area maybe they've learned a little bit since they opened up the first stores a little bit over a year ago and it'll change up but if you don't have a dollar tree plus i'm gonna say you're not missing out so hey thank
