[Music] in some of the harshest environments on the planet south africa this is real like i'm really here this is a crazy once-in-a-lifetime experience i work at a local motorcycle shop riding motorcycles for me brings me closer to nature i'm always chasing my next adventure so i had to get a little creative on how to toughen up my feet for south africa i got a pan of rocks and gravel i'm a little nervous to be naked yeah oh god best case scenario my partner would be like 50 married gay and like a counselor that would be ideal [Music] i'm getting older now i'm in my 50s i probably got what 10 good years in me you know they actually do something before i start breaking down as an old man so i'm doing this challenge i want to push myself all the way to limit and don't leave nothing on the table [Music] hey hey another naked person yeah know any good places to eat around here i haven't found a beer guard yet either hi nice to meet you nice to meet you kayla tim nice awesome so hopefully you can just nail this i plan on it good no quitting no no i won't let you quit if you don't let me quit gotcha that sounds like a plan cool tim brought his bow and arrows to hunt for food while kayla brought a coil of cord fish with it trap with it outstanding yeah they've also been given a machete yeah and a pot in fire starter which they'll need to help stay hydrated with the scarce water sources available in the next 21 days tim and kayla will have to cover 21 miles relying on three sources of water where dangerous predators hunt to get to their extraction well it looks like we have some lumps up there elephant dung good coal for the fire and bug repellent the little nugs okay there might be enough grass in here for me to start fire with them so i'm not gonna pass them up i think we're set on poop oh hey look water this looks pretty good yeah we got enough coverage on top so nothing's gonna get us from above and then great shade too these thorns are huge i've got dudes still in the back and side yeah you know and i think we'll have enough time when we're done to hopefully get a fire started and get some water yeah let's get at it oh all right there we go i think we can make shoes with this our feet are tore up so next on my agenda is shoes i think that's really important for us if we don't have our feet out here we're not gonna get anything done i gotta get all this fat off of this it's gonna have to dry let it out in the sun just for a little bit [Music] is it smelling any better no it don't smell any worse me and tim get along great he makes me laugh he's always so positive so i'm very blessed that tim is my partner it fit oh success yes i feel really good today we have shoes now so we both are ready to take initiative and get things done that's the bird i'm after that one right there [Music] damn it [Music] i am trying to noodle it's like a method of catfishing people just stick their hands in whatever holes or crevices they find and hope that a catfish is in there and bites your hand when you pull them out no i haven't found any fish oh there's a turtle right here oh damn it no maggie i'm hungry we need to start getting prepared for this walk we're making sun hats because we know the sun out here is brutal this is nice yeah tim actually made a torch to protect us from the predators with a hole from our fire in a turtle shell with a tripod to hold it so our hands don't get hot i'm hungry really hungry i'm going to walk around one more time see if i can find a little bit of protein it would really help us on our journey oh there's a squirrel [Music] yes i got a squirrel yes sweet [Music] thanks [Music] oh my god that is so good um so good we're gonna need all of that energy for our next walk ready to move on yeah [Music] all right let's figure this out we are here we'll have to get to the next water source good thing for shoes huh yeah goodbye beach house boma oh man this sun is just killer it's sucking the life out of me [Music] how are you feeling tired halfway they're tough yeah i'm really keeping an eye on kayla i was really worried about her i know she's not used to the heat she just needs to get some more water in her oh [Music] oh dude i see water ah i see a lot of water we made it oh the breeze is amazing this place is absolutely stunning been asked for a better situation than we're in that was worth the walk but we desperately need to make up for calories we lost i like the location i do too in a flat plane i get to see everything i said i like it because i had a roof and we got one side rv pretty much done since we're moving locations so often we're having to relearn an area and figure out how that area works take one last drink it's crazy that we're pushing our bodies like this on the limited calories that we've had we need to start eating anything we can get our hands on oh look in front of me [Laughter] i see you dive that was awesome oh my god [Music] we've had such a hard time here so this feels amazing this feels amazing cooking it in the shell and eggs because it was a mama turtle and i feel horrible but we already gave thanks to the turtle tim is going to try the egg pure yolk yolk [Music] how's that huh so good oh man god so happy right now [Music] oh you burned your foot [Music] my partner stepped on a hot coal it's definitely really painful you can just see like it's a burnt skin uh so hopefully it heals up a little bit before extraction you know it's gonna be hours of walking and it could be an issue here it just comes at a really bad time i'm going to set my game up here next couple of days and see if i can get some protein for us i'm just looking at that beautiful store i'm gonna go up there a little bit check out see if he's got an egg back in here burgers right around this bush ah here we go [Music] yes dude that ditch was here partner no way look at that oh my god [Music] five eggs like are you kidding me that's so amazing [Music] it's her last night and uh we saved her eggs just for our last meal our last meal together period yeah out here out here oh the inside out wow wait what a way to end the evening and i couldn't have asked for a better person to spend it with either i hear you right back at you day 21. get it my foot still pretty blistered i definitely am weak i can feel that i've lost quite a bit of muscle mass hopefully my adrenaline will get me through hold up i got thorn oh yeah pop my blister it's leaking hurts every step that i take i can feel my shoes digging in i'm definitely worried about my partner she may say she's okay but i know she's not i gotta help her out there's no giving up we can make this both together [Music] every step my legs is burning i just want to push myself to limit physically so i can't even function anymore wow stop for a sec all right you want to rest here for a minute yeah i'm exhausted yeah i could feel my legs now yeah wow i could feel my legs just burning now but there's no stopping me i will make it up that hill my partner is being savage mentally physically like his game is on a whole nother level here thank you being able to be partnered with him has just helped me grow even more i mean i look up to him [Music] here it is [Music] good job good job good job how's the help over here there's our ride here's our ride shall we we shall let's get out of here bye africa this whole challenge is super emotional you're constantly learning stuff about yourself every single day taught me i'm strong enough to get through anything but today i realized how happy i am with myself and how proud i am of myself africa will always have a piece of my heart oh god for a long time it's like i'm missing something like i haven't done something extreme enough in my life to make it to where i'm like satisfied and i'm not sure what i would have done without kayla to put my heart and soul into this for 21 days and i feel really alive i feel younger exhilarating totally exhilarating [Music] you
