Everyone is talking about buying the best CP at a low price. The value series is here again . Hi, welcome back. I am a donkey. Talking about what you can buy for 3,000 yuan, 3C seems to be really hard to buy in the Taiwanese market. So, should you consider updating your home? The screen is the computer screen A27i recently launched by Xiaomi. We bought it at Xiaomi Mall. After deducting the 95% discount coupon, the actual purchase price is 2,740 yuan. If you really need a computer screen, it can be said to be easy and hassle-free. As for buying it, His reason is simply that he is curious that FHD screens at entry-level prices have begun to accumulate materials. The Xiaomi computer screen we have is the A27i. Its official name is really that long. For this one, he uses it. It has a 1920x1080 or FHD resolution panel using IPS technology , and the key point is that the overall design is simple but not casual. The screen refresh rate has actually reached 100Hz . According to official instructions, this panel also supports HDR and even 99% sRGB , and is factory calibrated to Delta E < 2 means that the color accuracy is also top-notch. The specifications are really good, but is it actually as good as the official said? This episode will focus on two key points : whether the comprehensive measurement data through the instrument meets the official standard. Mark 2, let’s take a look at what data is really accurate, which data is meaningless at this price range. Get ready, let’s get started. What we are unboxing today is the Xiaomi computer screen A27i that was just released in Taiwan. The official price is 2885 yuan. The actual purchase price of the recent 95% off coupon is 2,740 yuan. So is this price competitive? Let me list the current relative distances for you. You will understand that at the current price range of 3,000 yuan, you can buy two specifications: FHD 60Hz and FHD 100Hz. But the panel quality varies. Most are 72% NTSC VA and a few are 99% sRGB IPS . If you want 2K resolution 99% sRGB, it will cost about 4500 yuan, 4K 99% sRGB and above will cost about 6999 yuan , which is 7000 yuan , so Xiaomi FHD 100Hz is priced at 2885 yuan, which is a reasonable price , but it is 100-200 yuan less. I tend to be sincere and provide some discounts for the follow-up. If it is 2500-2600 yuan, it is actually the sweet spot because the original price is not high and there is not much room for promotion. It is also in line with Xiaomi's strategy of grocery store peripherals. I wouldn't say it is the cheapest , but it will be the one with no obvious weaknesses in specifications among its peers , and then add one or two exclusive features. In this case, it is factory color calibration to ensure color. Accurate and ranging from 60Hz to 100Hz, the screen in this price range is probably for two types of users. One is mainly for paperwork and can smoothly read web pages and uses Office. The other is for office users. I just need a screen and choose a cheap one. The target user is very clear. If you are a computer user who plays games or plays games only occasionally, let’s first look at the appearance design and whether it is easy to assemble. The packaging of A27i is not big, just a plain box and a thin box, so the key point is to see that the assembly can be integrated into only three steps : a base. When assembled with the bracket, you will need to lock two screws. Fortunately, the package comes with a simple screwdriver, so it’s still a given. Place the two screens flat and directly insert the bracket into it until it clicks. Then you can assemble it when it clicks. That’s the end here. Finally, you need to plug in the power cord to turn on the screen. Although you need to tighten the screws , the installation is easy and there is basically no possibility of error . The package also comes with an HDMI cable that can achieve FHD 100Hz picture output and enable HDR. Complete function Next, we light up the screen. The front of the Xiaomi computer screen A27i is very simple. The three-narrow frame is also really thin. The bottom is marked with a faint Xiaomi Logo. The front is very in line with the mainstream simple ID of 2023. It is not too big to put in the office, study or living room. The problem is that the stand also supports pitch adjustment of about 5 degrees in the front and 15 degrees in the back. There is no height adjustment function. The back is also black, completely and very clean. The small backpack has an OSD control menu rocker power jack on the left side at the bottom, an HDMI and a DP anyway. It’s FHD 100Hz or HDMI 2.1 or whatever version. Don’t worry, it has nothing to do with this one. There’s a big Xiaomi logo on the right , and this one also has VESA 75x75 wall-mounting holes. If I had to say it, I might want it again. One more set of HDMI, then let’s skip the nonsense and go directly to the actual screen test. What we tested this time is the Xiaomi computer screen A27i, which is only 27 inches. One version uses 1920x1080 , which is an FHD resolution 8-bit panel. According to the official label, it supports a 100Hz screen refresh rate . Reaching 99% of the sRGB color gamut, covering the official brightness of 250 nits, 1000:1 contrast, grayscale response time of 6ms , and supporting HDR image input streaming and HDR10 . The special thing is that the screen has been factory color calibrated to Delta E <2 , so it is included in the packaging You can find such a screen factory report inside , but the measurement content is relatively basic, which is the color verification under sRGB and the Gamut curve. For the one we have, the factory Delta E is 0.38 , but it is only 3000 after all. Is there such a report yet? It’s reasonable and good. Let’s not look at the official data and just take out our set of equipment worth hundreds of thousands of Taiwan dollars to measure the accuracy. First, let’s measure the color gamut and color accuracy. First, we measure the native performance of the panel . The so-called native is the maximum performance of the panel. So I ignore the maximum adjustment and color accuracy test. Under native performance, this panel can indeed reach the officially claimed 99% sRGB color gamut, covering 81% of Adobe RGB and 90% of DCI-P3 . In fact, the performance is very good, which is already a lot. The standard 90% DCI-P3 performance of the same level. At this time, if you look at the sRGB Ratio, that is, many manufacturers like the standard 125% sRGB. After testing the native performance of the panel, let’s look at the options provided by Xiaomi in the settings , including standard energy-saving movies. I will not talk nonsense about the low blue light four-level option and just say the conclusion . If you are using it for writing and drawing and are pursuing sRGB color accuracy , please adjust it to the standard mode and then select sRGB in the screen options. This time we actually measure it. sRGB will be limited to 97.53% , which is close to full coverage , but at this time the Delta E will reach a super-accurate 0.039. We said that this number < 2 does not simply mean very accurate, and < 1 means very excellent . This Xiaomi may be due to physical fitness or luck. The performance of the Delta E we have is really strong and totally worthy of the price of 2,800 yuan. It is reasonable to sell it for 3-4,000 yuan as a color correction screen. And if you want to watch it For videos , although this unit cannot cover 100% of DCI-P3 , I would recommend you to choose movie mode. At this time, it can reach 89.97% of DCI-P3 , but Delta E has to be sacrificed to achieve a perfect color accuracy of 2.14 < 2. It’s almost HDR, isn’t it? We have tested it , but let’s look at the brightness performance first and you will understand. We test SDR first. Because it is a traditional LCD , there will be no area difference. The brightness is maintained from 1% to 100% of the display area. In the uniformity part around 250 nits, we also briefly measured it in 9 areas . Under HDR, it can be slightly relaxed to 259 and close to 260 nits. But to be honest, if it is more than 200 nits , you really don’t need to care too much about H or HDR. Just like a lot of 200-300 nit TVs, Dolby Vision is great. It’s really meaningless. If the brightness and color mapping are not done well and HDR is turned on, the performance may be even worse. So don’t force it. Although this one supports HDR , it’s just for general use. The default setting is to turn off HDR and use SDR. But if you really want to use it , we have actually tested that this screen can indeed enable HDR in Windows 11. The system interface support can successfully trigger YouTube HDR and NETFLIX HDR after watching the color gamut color. Everyone should understand which mode to use and whether the performance meets the standard . Then let’s talk about the high screen refresh rate, which is the 100Hz on the specification sheet. To put it simply , unless it is an e-sports model, most of our computer screens are It is 60Hz , which refers to the update frequency of the screen. There is also another one called FPS , usually called the number of frames or the number of pictures , which is the number of pictures the computer's GPU can calculate per second. The two are different things. Don't confuse them. So why is this If you don’t have an eSports orientation , you should give it more than 60Hz and give it 100Hz. Why is it that who said eSports can have the power of high update rate? You work hard every day browsing the web and dragging and typing Word. I mean dragging on the screen , not dragging on the screen. Work efficiency: It is actually easier to see the 60Hz afterimages than in games due to a large number of dragging and sliding operations. Let’s compare 60Hz with 100Hz. Under a high-speed camera , the afterimages at 60Hz are obvious. The reason why games pursue high update rates is due to conversion. The overall response speed allows you to see the enemy faster and operate in real-time to reduce afterimages, which is biased towards characteristics. Therefore, 100Hz is indeed more comfortable for writing documents. Compared with 60Hz, it is obviously smoother. But on the other hand, now that there is 100Hz, it is very suitable for playing games. Yeah ! It’s not necessarily because the grayscale response speed of this screen is 6ms, which means that the response delay between the panels after the picture is output is at least 6ms, and e-sports models are generally 1ms, so let’s simply calculate the difference. The player on the left is 6ms delay + 100Hz. The panel on the right is a 1ms delay + 120Hz panel. First calculate that each second is equal to 1000 milliseconds. 1000 milliseconds divided by 100Hz is 10ms. 1000 milliseconds divided by 120Hz is 8.33 milliseconds. And 100Hz here is 10 milliseconds plus the 6 milliseconds of the panel. The overall delay is 16 milliseconds , and for 120Hz , we only need to add 1ms of delay, so it is 9.33 ms. The theoretical difference between the two is probably better than these two numbers, but in fact this is theoretical and there are many signal processing issues in between. We won’t go into details , but we have basically decided that this panel is not suitable for games. But don’t worry. If you just play LOL, raise goldfish, and play Minecraft , it is even suitable for playing FPS games . It’s also suitable for entertainment . But Don’t forget that the main purpose of this 100Hz machine is to improve the smooth performance of your daily use rather than gaming. Finally, I would like to remind everyone that this machine does not have built-in speakers, it is just a pure screen. Time always flies very fast. I haven’t heard this sentence for a long time. Having said that, the show soon came to an end . Who is suitable to buy the Xiaomi computer screen A27i? Five years ago, you could actually buy an FHD screen for 3,000 yuan . At that time, I must have said that five years later, you should be able to buy a 2K screen for 3,000 yuan. Right, but in fact, the screen is not just about resolution, color gamut, color accuracy, brightness uniformity, but it is also constantly improving. Xiaomi A27i, as mentioned at the beginning, is suitable for document users who only need a screen to watch web pages and watch dramas on Facebook . It’s good for those friends, at least in the same price range, its performance is really good and the color accuracy is very good. The experience of 100Hz is also better than 60Hz . But there are some people who are not suitable for it . Its resolution is only FHD, so it is difficult to watch at close range. The level of detail is really outstanding. If you are using it for graphics with higher detail requirements, although this machine has good sRGB color accuracy performance, I would recommend you to go for 2K or even 4K and choose pure gaming friends , as I just said. Add some budget and choose higher. Friends who need HDR can really ignore the brightness of 250 nits. It is a sufficient level, but it is definitely unable to show the advantages of HDR. By the way, most of the current computers should be able to meet the FHD 100Hz picture output. But if your computer or graphics card is really more than ten years old, it will probably be limited to FHD 60Hz. But if you really want to change to a 60Hz screen, it’s no problem. The price is originally FHD 60Hz. The normal price is here. Let ’s go here first for today’s program.
