Zwilling Professional S vs Zwilling Pro Chef Knives

hey the folks welcome back Ricky here with cutlery and more and today we are going to take a look at the civilian chef's knives and we have three of them here three samples here because they are all very similar in many ways at first glance you would think that these are all the same knives but they do have some subtle differences first we have this villain Pro s then we have this railing Pro and now we have is willing Pro chef knife with the traditional profile but before we talk about the differences well let's talk about what they actually all have in common all of those women pros and Pro SS are made in Germany all of these blades are made of the same great high carbon German stainless steel which is exclusive to civilian all of these blades offer the same wedge-shaped blade geometry which provides optimal stability and for easy cutting all of these knives are manufactured by an improved forging process called Sigma Forge from a single piece of israelian special formula high carbon German stainless steel all of these knives feature a precision honed and laser guided sharpening system which is exclusive to civilian the handles are all made of the same high-quality resin which is durable strong smooth and comfortable as well as being able to provide the perfect henri balance they are all hygienic and they have a triple stainless steel rivet design all availing Pro knives are made in Solingen Germany this villain offers a lifetime warranty for all of their knives so now that you know what they have in common let's talk about what are the differences between these knives so on my left here we have the professional s this here is a knife that Zwilling has been known for it has the traditional chef profile which we have all come to know and love this offers a full Balcer and a finger guard which is what you are used to seeing in is willing or a German style knife now right next to that we have the civilian pro now this ruling Pro is really a modern take of the professional s there are three things to know in terms of the differences between the civilian Pro and the professional s the first major difference between these two knives are the blade profiles on the pro we have much more of a pronounced belly versus the professional s has a straighter profile that's more in line with what you will see in a traditional chef's knife the second thing is drilling has removed the full ball sir and finger guard on the pro will now have a plunge line that is very aggressive and starts fairly high up and forward on the top of the spine that comes down towards the handle now because of this new angled bolster and plunge line design this is probe may not fit in all knife blocks this villain actually does make a special knife block made specifically for this villain Pro to actually accommodate for the extra space on the top of the spine in terms of the handle the handle on the professional s is slightly more contoured and has a slightly more aggressive tapering at the top of the handle now we have this villain pro with the traditional chef profile this knife here essentially is taking the professional s giving at the same angle bolster and the same plunge line design as the pro so which knife is right for you well for those who are used to using the knives in a pinch grip and you enjoy having a full bolster the professional s is that knife you're not going to have any drawbacks with the professional s versus the other two knives these willing Pro knives are actually slightly newer design but they utilize the same great steel same great handle and the overall economic is pretty much exactly the same the updated profile of this villain Pro is for those who really enjoy rocking when their knives because if they pronounce belli the knife actually offers a better rocking profile than the other two knives the traditional profiles of the two knives here on the end offers the ability to still rock on your knife it just doesn't have the same rocking ability as the new modernized is really pro the designers and engineers at civilian are constantly working to improve their knives and to ensure that every single customer today and in the future who see the same great quality product as millions before them if you would like to learn more about all of the great products this villain has to offer please head on over to Cutler they're more calm we'll also leave a link in the description below and we will also leave a link to all of the items that are featured in today's video if there are products on our website that you will have to see here featured our own channel please let us know what they are and how you would like to see it seen alright folks well thank you again for being with us today I'm Ricky Tran with cutlery and more we'll catch you in the next video [Music]
