what should I do to be emotionally strong oh I don't know what you mean by emotionally strong but I would understand it like this Jesus was the is the perfect example of someone who was emotionally strong and balanced and this meant that he was never depressed tempted to be discouraged no doubt like all human beings he was never in a bad mood you could meet Jesus anytime and he wouldn't be in a bad mood that'd be times when he was tired I mean I can imagine in the Lord being sleepy it says he was slept in a boat once so if you're staying with him and you're asking him something and he could say well I'm sleepy right now let me go to bed I'll talk to you in the morning that's okay but he was never in a bad mood he was never once in a bad mood that he couldn't talk to you to anybody so to me that's an an indication of a person who's emotionally strong and I think it has to begin with first of all I'm believing that God's got a God's got in perfect love for me he loves me perfectly he loves me as he loved Jesus John 17 verse 23 is one of the most important verses in the Bible is the only verse that tells me that God loves me as much as he loved Jesus and many verses that talk about God's love but the extent of it as much as he loved Jesus I remember when I first understood this about 35 years ago he changed my life completely because if God loved me as he loved Jesus then there was no partiality you know the Bible says with God there is no partiality so what does that mean when there's no partiality I have four sons and I've tried my best as a very very inferior to God type of father but I've tried to be a perfect father when it comes to lack of partiality I've said the way I love my first son is the way I must love all my sons whatever I do for my first son I was due for all my sons I want to be completely without partiality and I extend that to God and I say God is like gods first Sun is Jesus Christ I don't know whether you've noticed that up to the resurrection of Jesus Christ he's called the only begotten Son God so loved the world and He gave His only begotten Son after that if you notice in the episodes he's called the firstborn son how did the only begotten son become a firstborn son just like in our homes how did my only son become a firstborn son when I had only one son he was my only son when I had other sons he became the first one son and the Bible says God has predestined us to be conformed to the image of Jesus Christ Romans 8:29 that he may be the firstborn among many brothers so that's why he's called firstborn now we are as younger brothers and sisters and if there is no partiality with God listen to this it can change your life if you believe this is what changed my life there is no partiality with God he will do everything for his other children that he did for his firstborn son like I did as a poor father now when I understood that boy it changed my whole life I said Lord really you'll do everything that you'd for me that you did for Jesus yes if I fulfill the conditions which he fulfilled God gives grace to the humble if I humble myself like Jesus I'll always get grace like he did to overcome sin and as he protected him he would protect me as he ensured that Jesus was never killed before the right time on the cross I can never be killed before God's time that's why I'm not afraid of cancer road accidents enemies persecution nothing I'm not saying that I can plan my death no but like Jesus said mine hour has not yet come I don't believe I can die before the hour of God is planned because he cares for me as he cared for Jesus provided as I said I have the same ambition his he had he had only one desire in life to please his father the trouble with many Christians is they've got more than one desire they want to please the father but they've also got other ambitions and desires and all that well then I don't know whether God can do for you what he did for Jesus but him anyone sitting here can honestly say Lord to the best of my knowledge I have only one desire on earth to glorify you to fulfill your will and to please you and to obey your word completely every single command that I seen your word I want obeyed I couldn't care less what man thinks about it I'm not interested in human opinion I'm not going to serve you for salary or pay I serve you because I want to please you I can guarantee you you'll get God's best and you'll care for you as he cared for Jesus but if we alter those principles like most Christians have done then we don't get those benefits you
