Yuji & Sukuna MAJOR SECRETS Finally Revealed / Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 257

so this is like the biggest chapter of Jiu-Jitsu kaisen so far because we're getting huge reveals such as the origin of Yuji and sakuna like finally the truth has come out and let me just immediately put it out there that Yuji is not the brother of sakuna this was like coming out of the spoilers yesterday but it was a mistranslation however Yuji is still related to sukuna just not in the way that we thought so let's just break everything down now because in the beginning of this chapter it is explained so in a flashback to before sakuna fought against Gojo he's talking to uram and uram asks him like who is Yuji and suuna says well he's kaku's creation as for the body I don't know because uram felt something similar to sakuna from Yuji and sakuna says well it's a Kaku thing he wouldn't just create that child Yuji without a reason and he says that it's likely that his love Affair you know because of kinaku taking over the body of the sorcerer Kori in order to create Yuji with yuji's Father may have been with The Reincarnation of my other half and going further sukuna says I believe we share the same soul I think it was in the womb but before starving to death I consumed that other half of me while still in the womb meaning that his soul wandered around until it reached Kaku so this is like the big bombshell here or at least one of them in this chapter there's quite a few so let's break this down so it turns out that sakuna was a conjoined twin as we speculated about because we talked about it a few times on this channel gay got the inspiration for the character of sukuna in this series from the Japanese 2chan urban legend out sakuna like that variation of him not the Jiu-Jitsu kaisen one and The Story Goes that like two construction workers found like this mummy of a conjoined twin near like this Shrine and they were getting like bad energy from it so they gave it to like a priest and the priest discovered that this mummy uh became mummified through like the monk tradition of like meditating until you become a mommy and that was always the case with romen sukuna in Jiu-Jitsu kaisen because we see that actual mummy after sakuna takes over mum's body like he and tangan come across like his old body I guess from the hean era which is dressed the same way as the sakuna from the two Chan urban legend in like that Buddhist robe thing in a mummified State I guess that's what was needed for him to make like the fingers you know the 20 cursed object fingers or whatever ritual they underwent to make that happen so that finally confirms it just like the original urban legend sakuna himself is a conjoin twin except he ate his brother in the womb and I guess that's how he has like the body that he does with the Four Eyes the two arms the mouth and the stomach and the hints were always kind of there considering that sakuno always talks about eating and all that stuff in fact we actually see him eat that mummified head of his as well as the other parallels being there such as like Yuji himself self eating sua's fingers and sakuna being inside of Yuji there was always those kind of parallels there between he and yui and also like I've talked about before I do think that sakuna parallels to Maki in that way since Maki is a twin with Mai but Mai was kind of holding Maki back from her true Heavenly restriction power so after Mai died that like fully unlocked maki's true Heavenly restriction where her cursed energy dropped to zero but first guys gamer Subs is dropping their new wfu cup at 300 p.m. Eastern today and it's Alice in actually see this sequence further parallel to when yosu dies against sakuna and winds up using her own construction technique to make him the kamut and I guess this also further solidifies what sakuna told kosimo when they were in that death realm after he killed him where he said I don't know I was a creepy child growing up or an unwanted child depending on the translation and I guess that's because he looked all weird because he was like a can join twin from consuming his dwin but as for how sakuna looks the way that he does I'm not sure if he just came out of the womb like that or if he did some kind of like special jiu jiter stuff to where he was going to become a curse and then he stopped the process before fully becoming a curse and that led him to having like his four arms and the right side of his face looking all cursy possibly to manipulate the soul in some way because we know that sukuna can do that and I guess this could also explain why sukuna has cleave and dismantle it's possible that cleave was his brother's ability maybe and dismantle is sukuna although it is explicitly said in this chapter that sukuna curse technique is Shrine which is fascinating and we'll get more into that but still don't really know what to make of it but I assume that him having cleave in this manle probably has to do with him consuming his brother and the womb now who was Sak kuna's parents don't know it's not explained and it probably never will be however let me just put it out there shuna's domain expansion malevolent Shrine that looks like the real life Shrine of mitani sugara and we've talked about Mizani sugara a couple times in this channel Gojo in volume zero mentions that he is a distant relative of both he and a kotu and he's also goes on to be like one of the three big vental spirits and it's possible that I don't know maybe mishani sugara is sua's Dad or something maybe I don't know it doesn't really seem like gay is going to go any more into that at this point now let's go a little more into this because it says that kju eventually met up with the reincarnated soul of sua's brother that he ate in the womb which means that that is yuji's Father yuji's father is like the sole Reincarnation of the brother that sakuna in his womb how did that happen I don't know it it just did the soul just wandered I guess because it got ate in the womb and I don't know a thousand years later it eventually led to yuji's father and Kaku tracked him down took over the body of Kori and then produced Yuji so yeah that means that Yuji is of course the son of Kaku and then the nephew of sakuna in some way I guess yeah and then going further AME is like doesn't that mean that Yugi has Laton potential equivalent to sakuna and yes that obviously is true since we are seeing the full extent of yuji's latent potential in this chapter well not the full extent but definitely some of it because in the previous chapter when he hit sakuna with that black flash it awakened Yuji and now he is going all out because as their fight begins here he is just taking it to sakuna with black flashes he's fighting sakuna just as well as Gojo did if not even better in fact in a following sequence in this beginning fight here I'm pretty sure Yuji leg shoulder Rams sakuna and causes a black flash from that I I think that's what's happening here like he didn't even have to throw a strike which is what we've seen almost exclusively from the black flashes so far in the series but no yui doing it with a shoulder strike which is pretty crazy now another big reveal in this chapter is that we're seeing that Yuji has two curse techniques because as they're fighting Yuji like touches this pillar and then slices it in half and like throws it at sakuna and that's when sakuna is like oh he can actually use it and the narrator tells us that Yuji has two curse techniques blood manipulation which was engraved within him after taking in the death painting WBS from 4 to 9 and the awakened States brought by black flash gave him Shrine referring to suuna curse technique that had been engraved as the reincarnated body of sakuna you know being the vessel of him so let's break down the first one blood manipulation we have been seeing Yuji use this throughout this fight and we weren't fully sure why he had this but we assumed it probably had something to do with him eating the curs WB death paintings which we didn't see him do it happened off panel I guess over the one Monon time break before Gojo fought sakuna so choso is one of these things along with his two other brothers that we saw them fight at the end of season 1 and choso was able to get the rest of these death painting wounds in the inventory that was inside of Jiu-Jitsu high like near where Tangen was this happened way back uh almost uh 100 chapters ago I think and I guess he gave them to Yuji and Yuji ate them and it's possible that that's why Yuji has his arms the way that they are it augmented him in some way eating them and it also gave him the blood manipulation technique now this all works I guess because they all come from Kaku in some way because Kaku back in the day took over the body of noroi camo who was a part of the camo Clan and a blood manipulation user and he made all these experiments to make the KW death painting such as choso and the rest of the ones that didn't come to fruition and those are what ug ate which gave him blood manipulation so that explains that now as for him having Shrine sakuna curse technique this was stated to happen by Gojo way back in season 1 as well well he said over time your body will learn sua's curse technique and it finally has but it just took for it to be you know at this point where he uses black flash uh in the midst of battle against sakuna and it awakened within him but it's different than what sakuna is doing because so far I think we're only seeing yui use cleave or his version of cleave because sakuna says depending on the era and The Sorcerer's mentality there may be some differences and also the energy input is weak so the difference between Yuji and sakuna cleave is that Yugi when he activates his cleave it makes like these scissor cutting marks around the object that he is cleaving which is pretty interesting and I guess it goes into it being a contemporary technique you know since there wasn't really like scissors and guiding cutting lines back in the hea I assume maybe there were scissors I don't know but this is obviously a very contemporary marking and it goes with the era that sukuna mentioned because we see that when Yuji touches the pillar it causes those marks around it and then he slices it throws it at sakuna then he also grabs sakuna leg tries to cleave that and we see the scissor markings go around it so that's a pretty cool little twist on it now as for dismantle like the projectile slashes pretty sure we're not seeing Yuji use that in this chapter uh I don't know if he actually has that or if he exclusively has cleave but it is being referred to as Shrine here not cleave or dismantle so I don't know if Shrine means that cleand dismantle is your curse technique or caveland dismantle are simply byproducts of shrine and Shrine is something totally different as to where it is multiple techniques or something because we still don't know what fuga is you know the fire arrow from sakuna we don't know what's going on with that and the open and the box and all that stuff still a few questions that need to be answered but at least Yugi has cleave uh and Shrine so that's pretty fascinating and really cool but throughout this Yuji is still hitting multiple black flashes on sakuna like almost at will which is like going against the rule of black flash because it was stated by Gojo that it's essentially like RNG like in a video game like it's just random you could be as perfect and as powerful as you want and you could try as hard as as you can to intentionally hit a black flash but it's ultimately going to come down to luck at the end of the day but Yuji seems to be breaking that rule and he's kind of just hitting it whenever he wants because it was also stated by the narrator in the previous chapter that Yuji will eventually surpass every black flash that Gojo ever landed in his life essentially right I'm paraphrasing but I'm pretty sure that's what they said and he's well on his way and these black flashes are obviously messing sakuna up here like he's getting visibly worried by it unlike he ever has before like every time sakuna tries to mount some kind of offense here whether it be dismantles or Cleaves or whatever Yugi's just like nah then he counters him with a black flash now in between this battle we're cutting away for a little bit and we're going to another flashback of the one month skip before Gojo fought sakuna and we're coming back to that moment where Eno came into the room with sakuna shoko and Ichi asking them about nanami and that was like the Cliffhanger we didn't know what he was was saying but this whole sequence eventually came down to them allowing him to use nanami's curse tool you know the blunted axe that now has nanami's curse technique imbued in it you know 73 because you know nanami I guess was closest to Eno because Gojo says that he's the one that nanami trusted the most so still not explaining why nanami's blunt ax has his curse technique and Beed in it but I guess because he used it so much and I don't know maybe he did some kind of binding vow or just because he died and the curse technique was transferred onto it don't really know probably won't be explained but just the fact that it is now a curse tool with Nomes curse technique in it and then after that it comes back to real time and Eno finally uses the ru aspect of his curse technique auspicious beasts because we didn't get to see it before he was trying to use it in season 2 during shabuya but it was interrupted and we didn't get to see it but now we're seeing the dragon the the Ryu aspect of it and he launches it at sakuna it's pretty cool and it does hit sakuna it does some kind of damage to him somewhat but sakuna ultimately just shakes it off and then just steps on nanami's blunted Ax and then just tries to put Eno down but of course our boy Yuji comes in and hits sakuna with another black flash here saving Eno then going further Yuji hits sakuna with a another black flash and cuda's credit he's taking these but he eventually grabs Yuji by the face and Cleaves his face like he marks up the right side of his face which is you know the interesting parallel to zuna's right side of his face that looks like a curse but yuji's is bleeding from the right side of his face here but he just counters yet again with another black flash man he's just hitting them at will it is wild and this is like causing sakuna to scream like this is the most emotion I think we've seen scene of sukuna in the series possibly like he is getting angry by this like he's really being challenged like this isn't him just being nonchalant anymore like he's really getting affected by these consecutive black flashes but then after that Yuji grabs nanam blunted ax and hits sakuna with it so he's just going all out and Eno's like yeah good job thanks for using it I wasn't useless after all and then the chapter ends with Yuji hitting sakuna like in the kidney from behind with another black flash I think that's the seventh black flash of this chapter it'll be the eighth overall that Yugi hit since the end of the previous chapter and sukuna is getting really affected by that too so wow things are getting wild Yugi has finally come into his own he has awakened and even the narrator is like you know like a king but Superior like Yuji has matched sakuna and is slowly surpassing him if not already has but then again sakuda might have something left in the tank too again you know we haven't seen him use the fire arrow yet he also hasn't used Heen his other like Trident like weapon which I also think is further supposed to parallel to him being you know conjoined you know kamut and Heen is two weapons uh I don't even know if he has it or if he can use it but still he has the the fire arrow stuff and of course the whole thing about him taking over mum's body needs to be rectified as well so
