Welcome here close to Semuc Champey, Guatemala. What a nice jungle setting, I just hear all these birds and there are beautiful flowers everywhere here as well Well, I say and not a bad view To have my breakfast, hey? Amazing there's this morning fog, which is just disappearing now And that's where I slept last night. Amazing, right? Alright, let's get back up this hill now Right Oh, I better get going because uh.. I.. I was
just pottering around. And now it's already nine o'clock and it's quickly is getting hot here. The mornings start out a bit foggy and chill But then during the day it gets hotter and
hotter, so better get going. Get moving And well, I first have to make my way back
back to Lanquín.. back to the little, little town And then from there I'm gonna take another
road. Oh, I actually forgot to.. show on the map what the plan for today. Okay, hopefully I won't forget when I arrive. But the plan is to ride to Lake Izabal. It's a beautiful region in
Guatemala as well and it's 138 kilometers Which is not so much but a big part of the way is going to be, I think on roads kind of like this and.. .. Well, you don't average.. very high
speeds on this type of stuff so It'll take me a good couple of hours. I have
reached the little two-way. How you call this? Oh no Of course, there's a truck There is always a truck! They're building a.. what is it? A bridge.. here See the clothes of the women here, are
again very different from the Ixil people I just find it so fascinating to see all the different designs and different fabrics and the way they.. they use

And well, I'm trying to find my way through the town but I'm struggling a little bit because it's all
one way again and then you end up at the market Not too sure.. .. Where I am going I'm just.. I'm just following this tuk-tuk now. Hoping he can guide me... out And now go here. to go. And what a beautiful ride here, right? Just kind of riding on the mountain tops again. So all the time, I have these amazing views. Like here. Look, I have crossed the entire mountain
range over here. Don't know how well you can see it because the visibility is not so great. There's uh..
some fires as well. In the distance but uh.. .. I've reached a flat area and then after that the next mountains begin So I'm just completely descending now, I think I am almost at the lake It's uh.. less than two kilometers Hey horsie See if I can stay in one of these cabañas. Wow, look at that What a beautiful place. It's totally deserted So I found someone who could show me the way, and uh.. well, I think I'm the only person staying here This is my little cabaña and right here in front is the lake, the mountains there in the distance on the other side of the lake Stunning, right? I promise to show you on the map, what's going on So this morning, I came from Semuc Champey, which is over here and while you can already guess it here is a big lake. So I rode through the mountains here something like that. La di da. And then I crossed here And then the last bit I did on my main road.
And now I'm somewhere.. I'm kind of like halfway on the lake, I think. I'm actually really
close to the border with Belize here on this side close to Livingston but in case you were wondering, I'm not going to cross into Belize over there because as far as I know there
is no customs. So you can.. you can cross from Guatemala into Belize but only people.. only with a passport. Bringing a vehicle, not possible.. legally And well, if you've seen a couple of episodes back.. that's exactly what went wrong in El Salvador and I ended up with an illegal motorcycle in El
Salvador so I was not planning on doing that again So I'm not going to cross the board into Belize over there. But anyway, I'm going too fast In the next video, I'll tell you what my next
plan is. I still haven't actually got one Okay, so I'm just going uh.. two kilometers

so that's water.. coming from the waterfall That water is hot, hot, hot. So basically, it's
a thermal waterfall and the hot water just mixes with colder water coming from there. So.. so this river is cold or normal temperature And then you get really hot water coming from the waterfall Just being in this water, the heat that comes off this waterfall. Oh, it's amazing, amazing I don't know which place is better, this one or Semuc Champey. I'm doing an awful lot of swimming lately But what a place to come here.. and have like a dip or a morning shower. Amazing, really.. wow So I'm going to end this video now. That was it for today.
