Elizabeth OMA pasta Elizabeth OMA has graduated twice from this University of course to graduate rice means you have two different degrees she graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in theology and then she graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Business Administration of his administration option past Elizabeth Romo currently works central Nyanza conference as an administrative assistant to that conference I have known past Elizabeth OMA for a long time as a very good speaker a renown speaker a sought-after speaker and many people want her to go and speak in places here and there because God has blessed her with a gift but also baritone has trained her to be a good preacher and so today just like we have done the whole of this weekend we are enjoying the Word of God from one of our own again the Lord is good and all the times with him to see that his feet I will avoid a lot of preliminaries because of time and we'll move straight to the Word of God so move with me to first John chapter 2 I'll do from verse 15 to 17 the Bible says do not love the world or the things in the world if anyone loves the world the love of the father is not in him for all that is in the world the lust of the flesh lust of the eyes and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world and the world is passing away and the last of it but he who does the will of God abides forever I haven't I told the message for this evening you must hit the world you must hit the world let us pray Heavenly Father once again we feed from your word now speak to each one of us according to the circumstances of our souls is my pray in Jesus name it's a great privilege to be a Christian but Christianity brings with it a great obligation we cannot as Christians escape the obligation to be different from the one you cannot once again John sees these things as the only system in terms of black and white he's discussing a matter in which there's no neutrality a man either loves the world or he loves God it can be neutral there's no median on the road the ultimate Royce remains the same you either love darkness or light you either love the truth or error you either love good or evil this passage of John does not mean the world in general it means the world apart from God human society is organized on wrong principles we are talking about a human society characterized by best desires and false values and egoism we are talking about a patterned society with its false values and its false gods that is the world that John is talking about and so John presents to us three scenes which are typical of the world that we must hate and he says number one the last of the flesh to many of us the last of the flesh is sexual morality it goes beyond there the flesh is that part of our nature which when left without the grace of Christ offers a Brigid to see that is the flesh Allah what William Buckley says William Buckley says it includes the scene of the flesh but also all wanly ambitions and selfish aims to judge everything in this world by purely material standards it means to live a life dominated by the senses to be gluttonous in food effeminate in luxury slavish inflation last full and Luxan morals selfish in the use of positions regardless of all the spiritual values extravagant in the gratification of all material desires regardless of the commandments of God the judgment of God the standards of God and finally the very existence of God anyone who demands a pleasure which may be in the reign of someone else and we love it some of us would love to climb up the ladder without carrying on whose toes we are stepping anyone who has no respect for the personalities of other people in the gratification of his own desires anyone who lives in luxury while on it the whole world must know John says the man of the world is the man who judges everything by his appetites the man who was a slave of slavish all of lavish or ostentation the boastful braggart who tries to make himself out a far bigger man than he is that is the matter of the wall this kind of things must be heated because they have no future they are passing away is what John is saying and the man has any permanence but a man who has chosen to love God has given himself to the things which lasts forever praise Allah the man of the world is doomed to disappointment but the man of God is certain of lasting joy beloved we must hate the world in order to long for the world to come you cannot long for the one to come when you still laugh this world you must hate the world in order to be fitted for heaven you must hate the world in order to be homesick for the kingdom otherwise you'll be comfortable in this one if we love the world eternity is not real to us if we love the world heaven becomes non-existent if we love the world even God ceases to exist heaven and a ton of family begin here and now spirit of prophecy in the book heaven page 170 paragraph 1 as you go down says this as through Jesus we enter into rest heaven begins here when the Lord's people are filled with meekness and tenderness they will realize that his banner over them is love and his fruit will be sweet to their taste they will make a heaven below in which to prepare for the heaven heaven is to begin on this earth if you'd be a saint in heaven you must first be a saint on us the life on us is the beginning of the life in heaven education on us is an initiation into the principles of heaven that's why our philosophy of education is we are educating not just for for the year under now but also for the world that is to come the life work here is a training for their life work there it has to begin here what we now are in current and holy service is the Shuar foreshadowing of what we shall be the happiness of heaven will be found by conforming to the will of God and if men become members of the royal family in heaven it will be because heaven has begun with them on us the and to keep your stitches prepare us for this kingdom that is to come is our prayer in Jesus name
