You don't have to be Richard Branson to own this island

this is your own little slice of heaven most people think you have to go all the way to the Caribbean to stay on your own Island well here we are we're on our own private island right now in the Florida Keys three hours south of Miami is East sister Rock Island the only way to get to this three-bedroom house is by boat oh yes this is definitely a Mouser esque what's beautiful about this room is that you wake up to the sunrise I mean how much do you fight over who gets to be here well there is no there is no fighting for this room my pants around the island this island house is owned by Wesley's parents Bob and Elena Wilfred but it can be yours for ten million dollars Bob's not so secretly hoping his son will buy it I paid about a million dollars for it 22 years ago couldn't do this anymore you know now you can't build on any of the offshore islands it's actually built on a coral reef East sister Rock Island was built just two years before the government increased restrictions on building around coral reefs which provide natural barriers against storms how do you protect the home against hurricane a we've had you know some damage the house really goes through it pretty well it's solid poured concrete so it's on 75 pilings that go directly into the coral reef so before you guys bought the island how was the island powered the island pot you know it didn't have power it didn't have power not at all had a little backup generator and nothing like it is today with Direct TV Internet wind generator the Willeford spent forty five thousand dollars upgrading the island to make it as self-sustaining as possible a new owner will have to factor in that the insurance costs can be significantly more than a house on land and security can be an issue well two occasions we've had Cuban refugee refugees land on the island owners don't recommend showing up unannounced but you can rent the entire island for $1,000 a night until the Willa firts find the buyer can you ever catch dinner here oh you guys dinner yeah every night of course yeah do you consider this place paradise my opinion this is definition of paradise does it get any better than this
