Living on a floating island

I give tours four days a week usually two times a day but then every once awhile someone will show up on the beach and really want to go and I'll be like okay so and then the other day I try to think of the boat kind of like a seesaw or something like that it goes back and forth but you're never really going to fall off getting out of the boat you get used to it after a while it's not such a scary thing when I got here I honestly I wasn't so sure about the design but you start to realize like how nicely design it is because if you sit here you have a backrest even though there's no chairs per se this spot right here always has Sun on it so if it's if it's not super windy then I could sit here and have breakfast and the Sun is really nice when I first came here I bought all these dry goods with the intention of cooking out here a lot this is the pot that I use which is awesome so the lid closes pretty tight and then it doubles as a handle this is the stove I use so it folds up really small and then you can unfold it like this and just flips around it works really well it boils water really fast simplicity has been really really key clutter collects when you're in a small space like this and just to choose like what exactly do I want to bring into my life you can't actually swim in the lake because it's polluted with a coli it comes in in many ways one area you have like a stream one area you have flood water one area you have groundwater seeping in and so I started to think like what could we do to make the lake swimmable how can nature be used as a solution to detoxify the pollutants for putting in the water but inside those burlap sacks are pasteurized straw that's inoculated with oyster mushroom spawn that hopefully is using its amazing powers to clean the coli out of the lake in a way I'm kind of selfish because I want to feel like oh I'm doing this really good thing for the environment or something so some ways I try to like keep in check that I'm not going to save the world but I should just do what I can
