[Music] hello everyone this is Beth with pearl treasure designs here once again with today's challenge collaboration we're going to get right into the crafting today but we will have more to say about our wonderful host and co-host later on this video so let's head to the craft studio and see what we got going on DIY number one y'all I am so sorry about this uh audio I tried to get it to play but the sprinkler in the background was just way too noisy so here I am explaining to you that I've got everything set up and pre uh glued some of the parts and I H cannot go without my coffee so there you go got to start the day off right and I was explaining here that I had already glued the weighted foundation of the lamp into the base uh using E6000 glue and how I had to put pieces of different lamps together to make this project come together and so I was giving you an explanation of how I was going to use the rebar and lining that up and measuring and all of that good stuff to make sure that my piece was going to be large enough um and how it was going to go together so I had determined and predetermined that I needed some space and I needed to reach the top of the rebar and had to reposition here so it was a work in progress I have to say and uh again my apologies for the for the sprinkler being so loud in this uh in this clip so I was exasperated ated and I finally realized I had to put that rebar on the floor or on the ground and I found this wonderful lamp this is uh a really really old lamp and it had a Twist on uh bulb to the base of the lamp and I was figuring out how I wanted to put that together and making it look like an outdoor lamp and the cool thing is is I found a tag on that clear glass lamp base and it literally said 24% Crystal on it so yeah I've got a crystal lamp in my garden space so yeah this is the planner that my husband had pressure washed and it is so old it is stained so I decided to paint it with masonry paint that my husband had hanging around in the garage so the hubs was great was wonderful he opened it up for me and uh I just got to town painting this thing as best I could and it just took one coat for those of you that know masonry paint is very thick so I took my time and got all the cracks and crevices of this concrete planner and the results speak for itself it came out so great and this color is an ivory it's not a stark white so it it didn't cause you to have to squint your eyes to look at it in the sun and you get to see the details uh that are already in this planter uh for the embossed and the The Ridges and the decor decorative uh parts of it so uh I'm going to play this through and and that way you get to see what I did for this process and what it took and and then you get to see the end results it came out amazing [Music] [Music] for so y'all I finally finished uh painting this planter ceramic planter and I'm putting a uh a lamp uh piece in there to keep a hollow opening to receive the rebar for this unit um for this art that I created and so I'm putting some stones I had laying around the yard um around this tube to secure it into the bottom and I have about 8 in of dirt in the bottom of this planter as well to help secure it so I loaded about four buckets of these rocks uh so that the rebar would be nice and uh sturdy inside the planter and you'll get to see more of this uh moving forward [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] this is what we're going to do I'm going to show you what the this looks like from my perspective all the Rocks we put in here okay Gray rocks I put filler rocks in there cuz that will shine up nice and look at this that solar light on top all I got to do now is adhere it with E6000 and I'm done it's a beautiful addition to my backyard welcome to just and some wonderful comments it sure does help them out so now let's get on to DIY number two DIY number two okay y'all may think I'm crazy but this second uh DIY was actually for the lamp that is sitting right there on the table uh which is a cream color and I inadvertently deleted that uh footage so you're getting a recap of DIY number one but I did this process for the cream lamp uh as well so I also did the solar lamp lamp for the cream colored uh yard lamp and that literally was going to go on top of it and I did finish that one first believe it or not so you'll get to see um the process of putting this together from the base to the lamp to the cream colored uh lamp and then the top fixture for the shade uh and they're both the same okay y'all this is what we've done so far far so we've added the base that was glued with the E6000 with the weight and then I glued this with E6000 to adhere it all the way around to this piece this was glued with E6000 okay and then this lamp piece you can see that I've glued this down with E6000 I'm going to let that dry and this shade piece um literally was the top of the lamp turned upside down and inside here is a brass fitting that I glued to um the top of the lamp Okay this green lamp and I put E6000 around the just the very edge of that brass fitting and set this crystal lamp piece over the top of it and I'm going to let that dry okay it was I needed both my hands and I could couldn't videotape at the same time or actually I forgot to so I wanted to walk you through uh the process of what I had just done and I'm going to step back so you can see where we are in the process here we are not quite done but we're getting there the final reveal well it's that time again folks to like share and subscribe to my channel it
