welcome back today i'm going to show you some of the mods i've done to my wr250f to convert it into a dual sport street legal adventure bike and why i went with the 250f had a buddy let me drive his tw 200 run around the block and then uh started looking into the single track world dual sport world he said the tw 200 wasn't quite enough for me so i'm not gonna get a wr250r but since they've been discontinued uh availability was slim in my area i bought a wr250f and here's what i've done to it to convert it to a dual sport adventure bike first and foremost i put a street legal kit on it uh ryko motorsports is the brand oh you missed the good one time ryko aluminum mount stocktail light blank turn signals a little slick this switch controller looks really nice looks factory and a real cheesy mirror so i changed it out for these uh ram mount mirrors with the double take are the round mounts with the double take mirrors i mean the idea is let me get in that brush and stuff to loosen them up you could fold them in but uh and these things have been so good i haven't even bothered folding them in tipped the bike over several times and pushed it through all sorts of brush and good durable solid mirrors and mounts wr250f stock had headlight tail light then they were just on all the time once once you turn the motor on and with this kit it was pretty cool because it came with uh high beam low beam adjustments and also brake light and it's curious the brake light was already built into the factory light and the high beam was already built into the headlight just the kit the ryko kit plugged into those wires and made it functional full beam high beam and an odd setting another reason i went with the wr250f was the weight come across a couple guys saying if you ride alone make sure your bike's light enough you can pick it up by yourself next up i got the tusk d sport rear tire not sized 120 90 18. i've been a great tire about 2 000 miles on it right now i've done a 1500 mile review in one of my other videos i'll put it i'll link it in the description here's the front tusk d sport it's a 90 90 21 i would call that tire the deathwing 2.0 shout out to my tw 200 buddies they know all about them all right next up is a tank bag i went with this nielsen rig there was two sizes available this was the smaller of the two it's all aesthetics i figured it would fit better on the yamaha where they've kind of tucked their fuel cap away and flattened that tank out a little bit there's kind of a flat tank with the no gas cap yamaha stashed it under under there so that's why i went with that nelson rig bag aesthetics good storage got some extra gloves corona mask uh hang your keys there chapstick batteries whatever and some water side pockets one on each side it will also unzip a little bit go all the way around and increase capacity by two more inches nifty all right one thing about this bag my zipper from left to right will sell up okay sealed up but if i zip it from right to left she comes undone next item i put on my bike are these tusk off-road d-flex pro hand guards all wrap around hook into the end of the handle bar there that is a must i have put those things through the ringer they take a licking and keep on ticking one thing that was curious about these these deflects is they each each side had three holes the left and the right side to mount that plastic guard on there but you notice there's no hole right there on the right side but there's a hole on the left side remember how i told you they came with three holes there was no hole in this bar so i had to drill and tap my own hole all right next up i've got the seat concept seat definite must if you're spending many miles on the bike it is way more comfier than stock you can see it flares out there the stock one basically went narrow the whole way and it would make you real saddle so we're in a hurry riding that for very many miles sitting down on the road that one will make you saddle sore also for stock that seat concept is way more gooder all right the last mod i'm going to share with you today is this rotopax one gallon gas can now there's no subframe past about there so it is basically mounted to that plastic fender so far so good i put that there just to protect the seat hopefully keep it from wearing a hole in that seat and slow it down from wearing that fender out to too quick marking it all up but yeah basically that is mounted right to that fender that's the mount they supply with it taco time that was an adventure one of the things about this roller pack i've done is it has these handles here and i've basically turned it into a top rack and just like that use of this bungee got my coat and a bag on my roto pack top rack so the roto pack is taking a bash a little bit too haven't pierced a hole in it yet but one of these falls it's probably gonna happen wait i've got a better one for these hand guards they take a lashing keep on bashing well there you have it there's my wr250f dual sport build and mob street this blue's for you and scatter dad has his 1 000 mile challenge he's gonna put a thousand miles on his bike i think before the end of 2020 i'm curious how that came how'd you do scatter dad so since scatter dad's got his bike i've been out on several rides with them but haven't been racking the miles up on my bike quite as much as i have i put 1.1 miles on my bike so that is my wr250f dual sport build thanks for watching [Music] so [Music] you
