Jerry pains take it down that putt you have a lot of plastic only brought four people but I'm from like an hour afterwards well a lot of people here I can say it was the action that the Hollywood Poker Open is just getting started lots of drama at Hollywood don't go away having a World Poker Tour in the Midwest is great because I'm a live in Dayton it's only an hour away so it's a really easy drive down here it's one advantage I have over the other five players left the table they all have to sleep in a hotel room I get to sleep in my own bed every night we might third the repeat title barry greenstein is eliminated he's not gonna win his third WPP title tonight [Applause] is not going to win his third WPT title here tonight freddy deeb in dire straits he's going to capture that Third World Poker Tour title tonight he's not gonna do it to win this would be awesome welcome back to the World Poker Tour a lot of great poker moments right there well you're right Vance that's the cream of the crop to try to get three WPT fouls those guys you just saw failed we'll see if Carlos Mortensen can tie Gus Hansen with three titles by winning tonight he's the chip leader six players remain we're going back down to the felt the quick fold by Mike Mustafa Jerry Payne also folding now it's around the Carlos he's going out as well Rafi raghavan the student out of Chicago Illinois and it's got two deuces on the button and folding a little surprised at that let's see what Chris Bell does it's another he's gonna go all in with a nice five here and Frank hallow he's gonna fold so they all in bed by Chris working well there with you incidentally Chris regardless where he finishes tonight will become one hundred and twentieth WPT poker made millionaire so pretty impressive and he's got a great attitude he's a great player he is just miss being a superstar in the game perhaps but maybe he can turn that around tonight all right back to the table and look at this young Jerry Payne pick it up kings Jerry's on the short stack right now calling but picks up two kings and goes all-in with him yeah it's an oval bet in my view wide you're only ten and twenty pound why would you bet over three hundred thousand here to chase everybody out and well he is pushing them away everyone folding in a line only one to defeat right now would be Mike Mustafa but he's got a pretty good age nine and I'll tell you I don't blame for hesitating here because when the guy goes all-in like that you know 300 now generally you put them on a small pair or like an ace and a baby card where do people bet that much money with two kings right up front you want action you want to encourage action you don't want to discourage it but Mike does go out we had one he's done terrible food and now we're gonna talk to professional poker player Brian Devonshire there's absolutely a difference between the live and online players the the whole approach that they take to the game is completely different the the online players are taking it from a scientific standpoint the live players are taking it from a psychological standpoint the online players their technicians of the game they're very skilled at the fundamental play in the mathematics of the game but they're not skilled at the at the psychology and the live tells and this and that and Carlos is a master of live players and live tells in reading hands in specific situations like it doesn't matter like the overall probability of a given situation it matters like what the hell's going on in that situation right now and Carlos played a hand on the way to this final table where he picked the guy's Bluff off with a pair of jacks on an ace Queen xxx board and you know and there was something that he did there that I don't know what he did but he did it he did it well well I think Brian makes some good points there that the great online players or mathematical whizzes whereas the great live game players are better at reading people and opponents well don't tell that to the great players like Jonathan littell Faraz Jaka also known as the toilet or hippy prologue freeman all great online players but also have great people instincts as well we'll get back down to the game here no here Mike Mustapha picks up an ace Queen 50 he's gonna raise it comes in for 50,000 in - Adam Sandler I mean Jerry Payne who has a four-five off suit and he mucks that I know Carlos and the small blind I looked down at a clean jack Carlos is what's known as a defender he doesn't like to give up his blinds easily 12:15 and he's coming right over the top forget about Collin he is rear eizan here and he's dominated as you can see so could spell trouble yeah Robby going away and back on Mustafa Mustafa just makes the call doesn't come back over the top so let's see the flop the flop comes King eight six no help to either player Carlos is gonna make the continuation bed and by doing so he's gonna cause great problems for Mike Mustafa here it's a hundred and forty thousand he sticks out there and now Mustafa hitting none of that flop has a decision to make you just wonder if he didn't rear aged before the flop because it's the chip leader or because it's Carlos Mortensen with either way he's gonna have a problem continuing with this hand as the King aged six flop comes out there his Carlos his girlfriend past Dora because he lost the lead in this hand and allowed Carlos to take it Carlos is gonna win the pot so maybe in the continuation boy won three I've told you you have a three on you put it night instead roughly huh he waves and Kate beautifully six players remain at the Hollywood Poker Open will coming back with more action in just a moment here on the World Poker Tour best players in the world today Chris Bell I'm in the first couple towns I got here you like I really wanted to win the title [Applause] wasn't meant to be for him to capture at first WPT title tonight at this point in my life I kind of keep count with money if they paid more for a second I try to get second but they pay more for first so I'm gonna try to get first I'll go back to the World Poker Tour and like is it just meters this spells Hilda Lee actually getting stronger and stronger the more he's away from us well I love that line if it paid more for second place I'd try to get second in truth vents it really is all about the money out here all right welcome back Carlos Mortensen our chip leader down to the felt we go Frank callo and a Liverpool New York folding Mike Mustapha also out round a Jerry Payne he looks at the 10 fighter clubs he's gonna fold yep here's the matador our chip leader looks down an ace jack on the button 45 and he's gonna raise it to 45,000 into Ravi the young 23 year old online player quickly MUX running folds and ace new suit advanced but Chris bells gonna stick around let's get those [ __ ] connectors you like to see flops with and here comes the flop Queen 9 3 Chris out in front now with the 2 9 he got a piece of it and he's gonna check and look at this Carlos checks right behind him just has an uncanny sense of feeling when he's beat and that's exactly the case right here he is beat and now Chris finally having to bet he's letting 35,000 a very small bit into a pot that's got 112 thousand in it but it's letting Carlos know I've got a little something guarding the eyes over to the matador you don't have a 3 a 3 would be good right now with it indeed it would that good assumption there these two guys are actually good friends off the table but all right Carlos gonna lay it down and see the case didn't make a continuation bill denied to the now what a nice just felt like you might have got out flop there and that was the case now what's amazing is Carlos said filming the nine you know if I ask someone to show me a nine when they didn't have to show it they'd never do it how does he do that well he's the only player in the world that's won the main event of the World Series of Poker and the main event on the World Poker Tour so when you have that kind of status you get respect people do what you ask them to uh evidently all right back to the felt we go Jerry Payne a quick fold and Carlos gonna take a breather goes out Ravi also folding back to Chris Bell next up a nice hand here got to ten he's gonna raise it makes it 60,000 to go into Frank callow and the 22-year old poker pro out of New York fold they called Frank the tank by the way no Mike Mustafa was gonna make the call here out of the big blind with the King Jack so here comes the flop ace a six Chris still out in front with the 210 action on Mike he's gonna check now Chris will he make the continuation bet no he checks they're kind of surprising when a king comes off mike has the lead down with aces and kings action is on him and he is now gonna bet 65,000 now to compound Chris's problems oh boy he not only didn't bet on the flop he's now paying off the guy when his hand is beat okay river card can Chris get lucky no it just gets worse and the board pairs king so mike has Kings full but Larry that Chris might have been slow playing three aces on the flop so he checks and Chris Bell can only beat now something like two sevens or two eight so he checks also and he's not gonna like the way he played this and I promise you that you might say the Bell cracked there little vents Chris Bell not taking that one was stopped but taking the pot whistles like that's irking I really well he who hesitates lose big pots as you can see well there you see the look on Chris Belle's face it says it all he knows he missed played this hand all right six players remain here at the hardwood Poker Open what coming back with more actions here on the World Poker Tour tonight's episode of the World Poker Tour is brought to you my played wapt.com I went to school at the University of Illinois in Champaign and there's tons of other players from that area too Andy said he just finished runner-up in the Bay 101 in San Jose and then the legend obviously Faraz Jaka he have teed the Bellagio Cup and then the five diamond that he's pretty remarkable at this game there's no question that it's maybe the player I am today knowing those kids welcome back to the World Poker Tour The Hollywood Poker Open continues for us jakka is currently the WPT Player of the Year leader in points and there you see another University of Illinois poker player ty Ryman who finished eighth in this tournament and that's I tell you one thing I'd hate to been in that dorm playing in that poker game Wow what talent tough competition and so at this final table to Carlos Mortensen our chip leader is first to act right here the matador looks down today nine seven and folds Ravi and Chris Bell also going away with a frank kylo twenty-two-year-old poker pro out of New York looks at King Jack of Diamonds gonna raise it makes it forty five thousand to go into the former car salesman Mike Mustafa he's got a big hand ace king he's got big slick in the small blind so I raised he's coming over the top I see how much he's gonna bet with the car sales in business to play poker it's successful so far and here's the raise one hundred and fifty seven thousand in total Jerry Payne out Frank Liverpool New York only 22 years old these guys are second and third and chips not sure Frank wants to get involved with a king Jack here and he doesn't so he's gonna lay it down so Mike Mustafa taking down that pot by raising it up and dance he says he's looking forward to taking this family on vacation with the prize money wins here wherever you finishes that's a nice thing waiting for you to make when your patented pushes my show on you I'll have the blade every time if you would a bit edge would having that shape there alright and with that hand the antes going up to 3,000 blinds 12 and 24 actually on Chris Bell and he quickly falls a chunk hand over to Frank he folds as well Mike throws away the suited connectors there to age seven of hearts and how its own Jerry Payne and he will not play so around the horn to Carlos Mortensen looks down at a big hand here in the small blind two tens look at this Vince he just calls does not raise trying to camouflage the strength of his hand and he's done so Robbie says okay I'll see you flop he's got the Jack nine and the Jack comes right on the flop Ravi has taken the lead boy thinks backfiring for Carlos but he's gonna put in a bed of 30,000 he's gonna be kicking himself well Robbie taps his hand his buddy Ty Ryman's his ship it doesn't have any idea what he has of course he has top pair only and he does show oh my god Carlos says how much is that Carlos now gonna try to extract some information from him cuz you wouldn't do that with a five would you what's interesting here is this is Carlos in his like sweet Spanish manner sort of sweet talking Ravi wants to get information and look how he's doing it so subtly you show me a phone that means night it's kind of whispering sweet nothings into Robbie's here yes you show don't you Isis beautifully says he doesn't show send him a little box of candy while you're at it oh he's figured to puzzle out that's for sure but there's a guy would want you to call he saw your hand Wow huh / - / I can't say - pear no you know there's a jack seven Jack Jackson ain't close something I forgot how great zombie talker Carlos is all right uncanny how Carlos seems to know when he's beat yeah I know I did leave the club thrower you had the joy but looks like Lorelei you have the jack I was only three hundred thousand was dirty yellow kiss that's it like he gives players truth serum and they tell them everything you want as you know to be a really great great poker player you got to have what we call feel for the game and very few in the world have better field in Carlos Mortensen all right to the next hand we go three folds in a row and Frank callow as well again Mike Mustapha picks up ace king six this time he's in the small blind he's gonna raise it to sixty thousand into the local Jerry Payne the shortstack peaks down to the Queen 10 Mullen oh well is going all in this quickly call Boyd knows he's up against the deer as the car slides about a two-to-one dog to win this pot stay alive and that's a quick trivia question to poker players there are Hall of Fame poker players from Dayton Ohio who are they one of them is you my friend thank you okay the other no in the middle is hand here we go Queen ten versus H King well flop comes eight six three with two spades so Mike's still out in front with the ace high Jerry Payne needs some help or he's gonna be our sixth place finisher ace of diamonds Jerry Payne gets a pretty good card they're having a spade comes off they're not crazy about it because the three spades out there and Mike as the king of spades meaning the queen of spades the tennis paid the night of spade won't help him now must catch a queen 10 or 9 offsuit to win this pot and stay alive Adam Sandler clone heat some luck on the river can he get it no the born pair of sevens so that's going to do it for Jerry Payne he's our sixth place finisher convinced the second half of that trivia question Tim his chip please there you have it Jerry Payne living up to his name picks up 88,000 and just like that we're down to five at the Hollywood Poker Open my place fine I have less than 20 big blinds he has to have a big game to call me did mr. Mortensen I might be able to bust you out yeah you're a porter was too close I travel so sorry well the soft talking Matador take this title will come about with more action here on the World Poker Tour stay with us it's great to be in the Midwest playing a WPT event no doubt about it we're in Lawrenceburg Indiana which is just a few miles outside Cincinnati Ohio it is five players remain and our chip leader now is Mike Mustafa the former car salesman right now Carlos Mortensen the matador goes to work he folds yeah the first time tonight a new chip leader and he's from the Midwest Ravi also out so it's up to Chris Bell among Katrina who says all in with a pair of nines Chris on the short stack just moving in look at two nines except to Frank the tank callow and he picks up an ace-high Manson he's a little suspicious Chris might be a little bit of a desperado here making a move with anything anything is a sighs the best fan but he lays it down yep chip leader Mike going out so just like that Chris Bell gonna take down a pot yeah the poker pro from Raleigh finally stacking some chips up it's still 38 years old third WPT final table he's always entertaining let's go back to this hand and one Ravi Raghavan he looked down two sixes she's got 450,000 and chips right now sitting in fourth place oh and he's gonna push all in Mike Wow big bet first fell with a seven not hesitating goes out as does Frank the tank Mike squeezing off an ace and then a five bombs away for him Carlos shaking his head he's got the 9 8 suited but basic trade the first card I had it they don't like h2o they sit down so Robbie the great online player take it down that pot with a smile it's not fooling around with two sixes just moving in with him said boys if you can beat it good luck to you as you can see there Mike we stopped it with close to 1.5 million the matador total sports in with about 1.2 back down to the money pit we go Frank the tank first to act Frank sitting in third chip position right now looks as a jack 9 here and he's gonna open the pot in first position under the gun for 62,000 with the jack 9 offsuit yeah he's starting to open up his game here all right behind him former car salesman I call Mike Mustapha with king queen is gonna call it's a quit his job to play poker and that's a daring move when you're the father of four girls Vance 16 12 6 and 3 I can tell you that it's not easy being a poker pro as a family man cuz there's so much more pressure on you to win but he's been successful so far but at this hand with Carlos at Robbie out and Chris Bell thinking about it but finally pulls in ace forth so we have two-handed action Jack nine up against king queen who will get lucky and flop comes ace nine five so Frank out in front now with the two nines actions on him and he is gonna bet 76 thousand and hope his opponent doesn't have an ace Frank the tank put down the double barrel of the tank Mike just staring him down just thinking to himself you know if I raise this guy I could take it away from him Mike Copps to fold and give the pot up so nice aggression by Frank callow takes the pot down for him they're only 22 years old idol Liverpool New York that's just north of Syracuse he's played for WPT events this is third cash out of four that's impressive stuff all right right back on it Robbie this time with an uneventful Jack 3 bucks his hand Chris Bell also out action back on Frank he's on the button he's got a 9 7 off suit but because he has position he's gonna pop it up here and make it 62,000 to go just at 97 that girl Mike outfit Carla's gonna stick around with a jack down to clubs Frank has got to learn that Carlos is a defender he's just not giving up his hands every time now flop comes Queen 73 so Frank is out flopped him he's now got two sevens Carlos has nothing of course in checks frank says you maybe Carlos Mortensen but I'm betting anyway 73,000 Carlos defend it but Frank the tank is the catcher at this point Tomas very capable come over the top here but ops to lay it down didn't credit for having something which he does thanks buddy's picking track rooting him on why not Frank's on a roll right now only been 21 for the like a year and I've gone deep you know now we're here it definitely will establish my name a lot more before I was just like the random kid who you know just plays the stuff and just you know steep sometimes but you know if I actually win this then at all the biggest games the greatest players the largest payouts on the planet the WBT is a series of international high-stakes poker tournaments that can turn amateur players into millionaires and make professionals into superstars it's time for these three players to live the dream of fame fortune and the one thing money can't buy a WP tonight on Poker Tour [Applause] hi everyone we are back at the Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg Indiana for the dramatic conclusion of the inaugural Hollywood Poker Open I'm Mike Saxon alongside Ben slam patent and this is the WBP and Mike the first WPT final table at Hollywood Casino has been a great one I mean we've had lights we've had cameras and we've had a lot of big-time action well that's right Vance the three short stacks wasted no time in mixing it up online progeria pain shoved at the wrong time against Mike Mustafa mauling University of Illinois graduate Ravi Raghavan on fell victim to the pocket kings of Frank the tank callow and Chris Bell the poker pro to North Carolina could not win the race against Carlos Mortensen the end of the final three players nearly even in chips Mike and Frank set the targets on Carlos Mortensen the man chasey to WPT records and they managed to put a dent of two in the armor of the matador we'll have to see if Carlos can turn things around and cement his place in WPP history well the cash the title it is all the line for these remaining players let's check the chip count and then go watch the bluff II begin where we started four days ago 144 players we are now down to three the winner tonight gonna take home a wAPT title as well as nearly four hundred thousand in cash there you see the chip count of the players download the 22 year old Pro out of New York in first place Mike Mustafa throw out of Chicago in second place and Carlos Mortensen two-time WPT champ sitting in third place right now the antes at three thousand blinds fifteen and thirty around the Carlos Mortensen whoa look at this he picks up a nice hand he's got ace king here in the small blind and the manager was getting the raisin chips out makes it 90,000 ago like he should want to know how much he's got left it's about 800,000 franc put the Queen Jack want to see a flop sitting in position got the chip lead makes the call so Ace King up against Queen check here's the flop well look at that Vince call those bet in the dark before the flop came out there he'd better hundred and fifty thousand and the flop comes ace nine deuce hits perfectly with the aces good stroke when that happens Frank has no part of this flop the bet in the blind could invite a call here for sure and it does well Frank he's gonna make the call that tells me he's gonna try to take the pot away maybe later now another ace comes off so Carlos has three aces with a king kicker and he's gonna check and quickly Frank checks right behind him with the queen jack now the board pairs nines Carlos is gonna put a tower up there it's about two hundred thousand were that you have the tank quickly folding their hands so he's working very nicely there for Carlos Mortensen no there you see the graphic of the old time money winners on the WPT Daniel Negreanu out in front but if Carlos finishes first or second tonight he will overtake Daniel as the all-time money winner on the World Poker Tour the Matadors Carlos Mortensen is one of the greats no doubt about it no masks what's really impressive about Carlos is that for every WPT event he enters he's averaging over a hundred thousand in earnings that's far and away the best on the WPT for players that have been or twenty events or more well Frank the tank this time looks down at a king Jack still our chip leader he puts out a raise makes it 75 thousand ago he's the former car salesman Mike Mustafa he goes out carlos has the ace ten suited here pretty good hand in a three handed poker game it's good enough for Carlos to raise that's for sure he makes it a hundred and sixty thousand ago we have on look at this 1 million you ask what you get behind the lens he would know that answer because they ask him just the last pot he just wants to hear Carlos talk a little nothing wrong with that is his poker and the tank is gonna call him and Carlos bet blind once again he paid 160 thousand blind and what a flop for Frank as he flopped top pair here he has taken the lead with two kings yeah he's out flopped the matador last time Frank had nothing on the flop and called him this time he's got top pair and he's just gonna call him again doesn't raise here turned carts showing up for diamonds helps neither player Carlos is gonna check now didn't like it when he got calls on the flop there I'm Frank gonna check right behind him yeah interesting okay going to the river one ace comes off out Carlos now has the best hand with two aces so the free card that Frank gave him he's gonna come back to Bernie yeah half the tank left Carlos out draw him there Carlos is checking here that's surprising yeah he's not gonna put his opponent on two kings because the guy didn't bet on the turn so maybe thinks he made a straight or two fare and was just trying to trap him he didn't want to fall in any traps with one pair so he checks the Aces I guarantee he's gonna call in case Frank bets but Frank ops to check and wisely so but right now very disgusted with himself for not betting that hand on the turn player would have won that pot so finally a break going to the way up Carlos Mortensen soon as you check for any English paint is turning it around maybe left a few pompous feet that's on the table didn't make the value bet nevertheless he's coming back we're coming back to on the World Poker Tour my nickname thank you many people in the final day was because the matador is a two-time WPP champion welcome back to the World Poker Tour that is the man with the red cape the matador call us Mortensen we after he's going first third WPT title tonight that would time with Gus Hansen for the most wins in the history of the World Poker Tour let's see if he can get it done yeah three handed poker but the action goes to the former car salesman Mike Mustafa peeks down to the nine-eight offsuit and he's on the button he's in position so he's gonna raise it here he's gonna make it 75,000 to go into Carlos I'm just gonna throw away at Jack for I know Frank the tank he looks down at the King for diamonds but it's most guys might just call with that not Frank the tank he is firing it up to 200,000 he is rear eizan with the King four and he's quickly called by Mike Mustafa yeah so we are starting to gamble it up here got King four up against nine eight who's gonna get lucky Oh bingo bango Bungo for my Mustafa he has flopped the joint to nine high straight he has the best hand possible right now action is on Frank and look at this Vince his reason for healthy dose of chips and he can just say goodbye to home and the tank is plunging ahead it looks like a bed of 203,000 no way Frank can win this pot it's just a matter of how much he loses you're so excited if you're Mike and he's just gonna okie-dokie call him trying to trap this opponent here we go with the turn card queen of diamonds irrelevant action back on Frank I get called on the flop for two hundred three thousand so I can't like King four right now they're actually hoping to make a straight what the King four but unfortunately for Frank even if he makes it it's just gonna cost him more money well the tank has checked one hundred four hundred thousand is the bet and I say Wow because there's no flush possibilities he's got the best hand possible if his opponent had two pair of her trips he would have bet out so yeah I don't understand this I mean what are you trying to protect let the guy possibly suck out on you but you got such a huge hand a 300 poker game at this moment or catch a card yeah suppose a plea or an aid comes off he's gonna bust a guy a little bit of a [ __ ] back there but perhaps not in his eyes can't wait to see what you have there you'll be shocked how cheap you got away from the hand when you have the nuts to win a big pot you just don't feel like you can check on any Street head amping you would on bust a man because then the pot doesn't get that big but in this case you know he's easy former car salesman it's like you know over talking your sale and just chasing the guy out of the dealership it's just just wrong uh alright back to this hand Frank the tank this time with a pair of eights this time he's got a legitimate hand and he's gonna raise it you can't blame him for that he makes it 75,000 to go Mike Mustafa has two sevens he is a dire straits this time around oh boy buckle up he just flopped the nuts to win a nice pot off Frank but this time we could see a reversal of fortune and Mike is gonna get aggressive he's gonna raise here makes it 225 he's come right back over the top raising him with the two 7s Carlos gets out of there way back on tank is about a four to one favored to win this pot advance if he Gamble's here there's a good chance he's gonna double up that's for sure and it cost him another 150,000 to make the call the question is do you call or raise Wow Vince he does neither he folds well that's the Frank doesn't go on to win this tournament he's gonna look back at this hand right here and realized Wow I had my chance I should have gone for right there so the car salesman Mike Mustafa sells his opponent the clunker gets away with it we're coming back with more action from the World Poker Tour in just a moment I'm never quite out of table Chicago subscribe my buddies at home they get sick of me I talk so much now I might be able to bust you know they put headphones on all the time so they don't have to listen to me [Music] welcome back to the Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg Indiana where three players are still in the hunt to become the first Hollywood Poker Open champion okay let's check the chip count and get back down to the felt well we've had a reversal of fortune in the chip count as you can see Mike Mustafa now out in front with 1.9 million Carlos Mortensen in second place with 1.5 and with just less than 9,000 of frank carlo who recently just had a big chip lead and now he's in third place yeah Frank the tank started to struggle here as he quickly pulls his hand one of course he'll spin Mike Mustafa with an ace deuce it's like he's getting some raisin chips out just already to life no no keep it affordable for you to call yeah it makes it 75,000 beautiful man he's putting out some Hollywood script right there in the events oh I don't want you to fold betting enough so you can call that's hokey-pokey when you got ace deuce off suit what I have on yeah so Carlos with the best hand with a six Carlos thought about raising it there but obviously just called so we're gonna have a flop here Carlos with the a six Mike with the ace deuce who will flop better now it's Jack seven deuce so Mike is flop bottom pair with top kicker he is out in front now with two deuces and he checks now Carlos is gonna bet now that his opponent Jack he fires out eighty thousand Mike's gonna make the call with two deuces Carlos doesn't like that I can promise you for diamonds comes off helps neither player again on Mike he checks again Carlos checks as well I was hoping his opponents got something like a 910 for a straight draw but the only hand he can beat here King of Hearts on the river well it goes check check one pair Mike is gonna win this pot with two deuces things only have to raise your body flop well now you heard it the matador said he should have raised back before the flop and taken control of the hand that's the Carlos to feel like you missed played a hand it's sort of like turn your back on the ball it's just something you think - meantime Mike Mustafa increasing his chip lead yeah quit the car business do exactly what he's doing here tonight play big-time poker and he's doing it well actions on to me quickly MUX a king and a diamond it's kind of surprising very surprising to muck that in a three handed poker game especially when you're the chip leader and you're on the button the matter with a pair of threes gonna pop it up a bit makes it 90,000 ago and Frank got the suited connectors of five for diamonds he wants to see a flop so he makes the call yeah some little cards look at this fence we've seen Carlos do this several times at this final table he's betting 150,000 before the cards even come up on the flop he didn't know if they're gonna help him or not well flop is five four deuce Carlos has flopped an open-end straight but look at this Frank has the top two pair and here's Carlos in bad shape right now this could get very interesting carlos has Beth in the blind 150 now what will the tank - Owen Frank coming back over the top well he's going all-in way cool we're nearly 800,000 there Carlos quickly calls him we've got a bullfight here well Frank turns up the top two pair Carlos turns up the open end straight draw runs at 10 notes Carlos says he has 10 out there knows what it means for aces four sixes and two threes those are the 10 cards he's talking about that he can win the pot with he needs one of them now the tank plunging away out in front will he stay there oops think time he comes 4th Street Oh the 8 of diamonds comes off now that's a bad card for Carlos just takes 3 of his outs away so it's the ace 3 & 6 of diamonds are no good for Carlos anymore so all of a sudden his outs have shrunk to 7 track the tagging of great position to double up Frank on the river and that's gonna do it for the 22 year old poker pro not at Syracuse New York that's the one ranked that tank at Cody before our very eyes outed third place but he is gonna pick up a hydroton 67,000 Mortenson firing the bazooka to take the tank out of the tournament oh man it was so sick I I had a ton of chips and then I just like ran bad once we got back from break boards three handed and made a couple moves there really work out and all that happens quiet on the set the heads up action is about to begin at the Hollywood Casino stay with us we're coming back for more you know what not the greatest heads-up player it's going to be something different for me especially against Carlos who is a great great tournament player period so I got my work cut out for me there is still work to do you know can't say anything until the last plane is down welcome back to action the WPT the cab the trophy and the WPT Tiffany bracelet are being put on the table so much on the line for both these players who is gonna become the first champion of a Hollywood Poker Open let's check the chip count and then get back to the game okay you see Carlos Mortensen out front right now he's got 2.2 million but right on his heels Mike Mustafa put two million in chips Carlos he had enough bracelets let me get one all right we got the former car salesman Mike we stopped up against one of the true greats Carlos Mortensen yeah with that suck out against Frank a moment ago Carlos ensures himself to be the old-time money leader on the World Poker Tour all right to the game we go action on Carlos he picks up queen jack of spades that's pretty good hand and heads-up poker and he's gonna raise with it makes it 60,000 Mike Mustafa has an ace ten and also a pretty good hand in heads-up poker the 150 and he's coming right back over the top he's gonna make it a hundred and fifty thousand and quickly Carlos calls the raise so here we go good action on hand number one of the heads-up battle and what a flop this is for both players well Mike has flopped top pair with top kicker Carlos has flopped a flush draw with two over cards Mike I'm not taking any time he's gonna put in 240,000 from ledge ago that is how much he planned he's laughing because there's a good chance he could ship it here with this hand that close but he just calls doesn't raise what the flush draw just makes the call Carla's hoping to get lucky here's our turn oh the Queen of Hearts comes off so now Carlos has the best hand and the best draw 250 Mike is checked at Carlos bet in a quarter of a million when they call now Mike is gonna make the call for a quarter with me this is getting expensive down to the river we'd go seven of clubs the board pair of sevens two people again Mike checks and quickly Carlos comprehend best 250,000 I call and the car salesman is going to call it super no Carlos turns up Queens up and he's gonna win the pot with it and a healthy pot it was I said there's one tenth of sunshine then what stafa hasn't showed his hand quite yet Carlos is your 10,000 short I know you're getting at hmm oh you know you're getting the pot you know we know and now he knows [Applause] extending is Chifley will tell me you have a jets huh Jack's a Stein hey Stan's exactly right my friend all right Alice first hand they give you a million choice an easy-going up with that hand to 4,000 I put you on a flush on beyond today I don't think it's 20 or 40,000 I made the exactly right bet the mcfist office says he loves to talk at the table maybe and when he's playing at his home game the guy's just you know say put the duct tape on just shut up for a moment talking probably works a lot better than a home game and it's gonna work out here in the WPT against the likes of a Carlos Mortensen or Daniel Negreanu I can tell you that all right it's on him he's got a pair of fives and he's gonna raise it here can't blame him for that comes in for 90,000 they call Carlos let the suited jack four of diamonds he's gonna make the call hard to steal his blind Vince flop comes 10 9 deuce one diamond Carlos checks and Mike checks the two fives right behind him you know flop help neither player but look at this ace of diamonds on the turn that's gonna help Carlos Carlos checks again with the flush draw one funny and now Mike Bettes a hundred and twenty thousand trying to represent this get an ace in his hand but look at this Carlos are gonna raise him he makes it 240,000 to go guess most players would just immediately eject the two fives and throw them in the muck but mike has made the call just knows Carlos is capable of making a play here and now the Joker comes off for Mike Mustapha the third five comes off Carlos checks marlin and Mike now bets all-in with the three fives no way Carlos is gonna call here obviously with the jack-hai so he throws his hand away but that's what a call by this guy on the turn I mean oh you can beat as a stone bluff and it's a great wave by Carlos there a strike Kaka 3 unfortunately his opponent didn't go anywhere yeah a race by then I'll have to pair Talos I swear telling the truth right there I don't have two pair yeah I'll be shocked yeah sure no and you have apparently I had a pocket there yeah let's see if Carlos could figure this out they have a set tonight's episode of the World Poker Tour is brought to you by played wapt.com I thought I was a poker player until today this is amazing what they brought here if I grew up where they built his casino and nobody here would have dreamed of a poker game other than a Legion Hall or somewhere nothing with millions of dollars on the table Hollywood Casino has been such a great benefit to this community we can't think Hollywood enough we're bringing large Berg into the limelight and we appreciate everything they do welcome back to the World Poker Tour this is world-class Hollywood Casino we appreciate being in the Midwest for a WPT event and what a great spot to be especially for these two guys fighting it out for this title through the felt we go carlos mortensen first to act with an ace deuce it's gonna raise I thought they said a hundred twenty thousand ago yeah Mike is gonna make the call here and why not after catching that five on the river feeling good a minute ago let's gamble it up here Mike with nine seven ace queen nine great flop for Carlos he's flopped top pair Mike has flopped bottom pair went to Mike checks and Carlos is gonna bet 120,000 Mike is gonna call him he just thinks this guy's never got a hand that's oa7 comes off Mike has taken the lead with two pair here as he gets very lucky on the turn to him Kenny checks and again Carlos bets this time 200,000 folks get ready for the check race what a dream card on the turn and there it is just like you said Mike well I'm actually you're gonna raise it here with two pair okay your opponent's got a straight draw or just a pair of aces like he's got you got to make him pay to catch oh yeah makes it six sixty to go you know like seven hundred yeah yeah exactly that's a healthy $460,000 re-raise carlos has top pair he's got a bad kicker he's been check raised on the turn what do you do now with two aces and he's getting out chips he knows there's a chance his opponent to they have something like king ten of diamonds where he made a flush draw on a straight draw on the turn but chances are he's problem to beat Mortensen with some of the best instincts in the poker world can he get away from two aces here you notice my staff is not talking much here he does throw away the Aces man see I could lay down and another spot on lay down by Carlos Mortensen Vince the guy just has a knack to know when he's beat nice pick up on the turn for Mike got to be content with that eight seven hey son - gotta be clean I know you got a call not really you tell him everything anyhow that was this guy wouldn't be telling Carlos Mortensen the thing everybody thought you were gonna make the collar I even thought you're gonna make the caller I begin the duct tape and putting NOLA Mon mouth it's just the sweetest guy and he just sweet talks everyone and they reveal everything with that hand these players are almost dead even in chips again so we are back to the drawing board for Carlos Mortensen who's going for his third WPT title tonight the antes are going up to 5,000 buys that twenty five and fifty action goes to Carlos as a miserable-looking jack for but that's not gonna slow down the bullet or fighter he makes it a hundred and fifty to go stuff but with a king Jack makes the call right now mike has him dominated King Jack versus Jack for Carlos perhaps steaming a bit there well here comes a flop glasses for Carlos Carlos gonna put on his sunglasses Vince the Battle of the shades now Carlos hadn't been having them on but flop is queen nine five through fifty no help to either player does give Mikey get shot straight draw he checks and Carlos confidently best 250000 Wow yeah he's been cold with the gut shot straight draw and why not Vince's Chris Bell back on the rail nice effort to be knocked out and come back and watch very rare do some hearts comes off your right fence most people do sir run out straight to the bar when they get knocked out and it's true now they both check comes the river card now a 10 comes up the river again the Joker for Mike Mustafa he has a stone cold nuts at the best hand possible 500 and he's got a better half a million here and that's I don't understand this bit and Carlos quickly folds and I say that because if Carlos has a big hand where he can pay off a half a million dollar bed why not give him a chance to blow up at the pot which one of these players trinamic run is gonna have a nice perfect Hollywood ending when we returned with more action from the Hollywood Poker Open in just a moment Carlos you got it now bracelets I'm gonna get one all right I love the play against Carlos heads up they'll probably be a perfect match up just want to see how I stack up against one of the best welcome back to the World Poker Tour the Halloween Poker Open continues heads up action right now Mike Mustafa stacking up pretty well against Carlos says he's got the chip lead he's got two point four million Carlos sitting on 1.8 million so right now the momentum on the side of Mike Mustafa Mike Mustafa the former car salesman got in the tournament through a $1,200 satellite making things happen here tonight let's go to the felt Carlos with a king 10 this time he's been spanked too many times lately in ops 2 just left him with a king 10 and mike says okay let's have a flop as he looks down at a Jack deuce and there it is Jack riding the door it's come queen jack 6 so mike has second pair carlos has the open end straight draw Knight checks Carlos checking as well now four hearts comes off Mike thinking he's got the best hand now with two jacks which he does so he's gonna bet he bets just 50,000 look at this fence Carlos is gonna raise him on the turn here after flipping in and then checking on the flop he's now raised him on the turn and as you can see Mike he's trying to figure this out and he said well I don't know what you got I'm gonna call you to find out though additional hundred and he's been called by Mike down to the river the ace of spade comes off this gives Carlos an ace-high straight there is a possible flush out there Mike is gonna check just a perfect card for the matador three hundred and fifty thousand and the perfect card will run off sudais but three hundred and fifty thousand is the bet virtually all my can beat at this stage as a stone bluff but and he's just stammering to himself muttering he's been calling Carlos so many times here thinking he never has anything will he do it yet again if so he'll get his wrist slapped this time are you kind of up is that Carlos watch the straight look ace don't get too curious here wait his hands so hot you make this call you'd be giving a lot of all that to back to Carlos oh you know I know it's good Wow we did lay it down nicely done well Carlos Mortensen finally get an untracked a little bit takes down a clap I was originally born in Ecuador later on moved to Spain bluff now lives in Vegas part-time you can't even hold it it you know what's amazing about him he's taking two titles in his file a ton of money in the world folk until he's only played 50 some-odd tournaments on the World Poker Tour that's the guy's averaged over a hundred thousand dollars every WPT event he has entered by far and away the best out here in the world poker tool for players that have bender 20 events or more back to this hand it's on Mike again with the button and attractive-looking king/queen off suit yeah very attractive and he's gonna raise it makes it 125 and Carlos with a queen Jack coming back over the top unbelievable Carlos has rear ace two hundred thousand a year and as you can see he is dominated its king/queen versus queen Jack but let's see what Mike is gonna do Mike's gonna make the call so Mike just never believes Carlos has a big hand in this case he's right he has him dominated and there's another blind bet here by Carlos Mortensen just putting chips in before the flop you like that don't you put in three hundred and twenty five thousand it could very well work with a flop of three three four with two hearts because Mike has none of that mulling whoa fancy has pulled the trigger for all his chips a stunning move by this poker pro out of Chicago I [Applause] mean this play is gonna work Carlos cannot possibly call him here with a clean jack I don't think but what a play to move all in with chess King high here especially when the guy bet in the dark after raising preflop not just raising coming over the top and re-raise it's really uncalled bowling just seeing a little Spanish theatrics right now well maybe Carlos is gonna have to reevaluate these blind bets and finally Carlos reluctantly holding the hand so Mike Mustapha giving Carlos Mortensen the bogus new book right there that's right the form of car salesman sells another lemon will cover that with more action stay with us on the World Poker Tour welcome back to the Hollywood Casino you're watching the WPT s and dogs roll Hollywood Poker Open we're down to heads-up play right now Mike Mustafa out in front with 2.7 million Carlos Mortensen with 1.6 million yeah it applies it going to thirty and sixty thousand actually goes to Carlos Carlos Mortensen has already become the all-time money that you're on the World Poker Tour I finish in at least second place tonight now he's looking to tie Gus Hansen with three WPT titles but right now he's up against it as mike has the chip lead Carlos with King nine Mike ten seven happened to see a flop and the flop comes nine eight five two diamonds Mike has an opening straight draw on the backdoor flush draw he checks Carlos has top pair he certainly does the Cullis is gonna bet it a hundred thousand and he's gonna be called by Mike Mike looking to catch the six or the jack ten would give him the lead but the four spade comes off Frank's gonna check 300 Carlos quitting bets 300,000 the batted or trying to protect his top pair now Mike gonna gamble here and I say gamble because he's got to make the straighten if it's a 6 or Jack of Diamonds you're still scared yeah that's been lucky all night he catches when he usually needs it will he do it now queen of spade comes off Mike finally did not hit there see what he's gonna do he's gonna check 300 now Carlos gonna bet 300 thousand here everywhere but Mike lays it down until Carlos does pick up the pot to close the gap on the chip lead well there you see Gus Hansen and his famous elbow flex when he captured his WPT title I know that very tell rich man Carlos Mortensen trying to tie Gus with three WPT titles and can do so if he wins here tonight all right it is a close race right here right now and this time Mike with ten nine just gonna call Carlos with an eight seven yeah he says give us a flop here so here comes that flop oh it's come pen 9:6 carlos has the nut straight but mike has a top two pair folks buckle up you're gonna see some fireworks now i sees a head what a flop carlos has quickly check mike bet 90,000 carlos with the nuts right now i see the raise here that's for sure i say that because there's a possible flush draw and a bigger straight draw out there so Carlos does raise it makes it 300,000 to go an additional 210 well Vince if I was Mike I would just shove it right here but I wouldn't like it after Carlos turned up his hand I can tell you that so let's see what Mike is gonna do opportunity of a lifetime Marlin call and he does push all they did a quick call of course well bet you can't blame him for playing the hand that way nothing you can do about it when you flop the top two player playing heads-up poker right now Carlos Mortensen in great shape to double up and take a giant step toward those three WPT titles just pair up please enter to nine the matador puzzling the bull huh Carlos but one apart the biggest part of the tournament over four million in this pot let's see what happens like she'd pair he'll take this tournament not there it's a jack of spades well we're down to the river card got a bigger straight now for Mike Mustafa to win this tournament right here right now we must catch a ten or a nine on the river otherwise the matador will have a huge chip lead and this heads-up battle and the former car salesman get lucky and get this card and take this title we will see here comes the river nope so Carlos Mortensen has doubled up he is in great shape it's two tiger Sansa's three WPT titles now he has a monster chip lead so the matador are getting close to making some poker history here tonight at the Hollywood Poker Open stay with us we're coming back for more action he just almost six six six tonight's episode of the World Poker Tour is brought to you by play wapt.com [Applause] one of the best feelings and my poker career most of the best players in the world we're playing that tournament very prestigious tournament and win that means you feel like on the top you know in the top of the month over continues right now Mike Mustafa is desperate he is in the deep end of the pool with broken arms he's in trouble Carlos Mortensen with 96% of the chips a massive chip lead Miami bonding he is well on his way to capture net third WPT Tyler Berg the show it to the camera before I look at it look at this in his hand my triple tear all the money is in between deuce I bet you heard Carlos how proud he was when he won the WPT world championship back in season five and proud he should be putting these up there one is the only man in the world that's won the main event at the World Series and the main event on the World Poker Tour that's a feat we may not see duplicated for at least 20 years the matador take down this title right now we will see here's the flop flop comes king nine five so a good flop for Mike and that his ace is still out in front Carlos must catch a queen or dues to take the lead turn card is a four of hearts we are down to the river to win this pot and in this tournament right now Carlos must catch a queen or a deuce otherwise Mike Mustafa will double up I'm filling a deuce well it's a six of spade so Mike makes two six is going to take down that pot well the match continues sit back now guys one more head will slightly amused mic feeling very very relieved to take that one more time actually it's because these promises for daughters are going on vacation he makes it to this final table so the higher up you finish is perhaps the nitrification 25 plus 30 is 350 nights for daughters what it's like living in a house with five women bits don't look that's why you play poker for the second time in a row hey cool Carlos said the Queen jacket makes the call 9 7 for Mike Mustapha I like this hand goes with Queen Jack he says he likes his hand I'm sure Carlos likes his he's the favorite to win this thing right here right now and tie Gus Hansen with three WPT titles flop 10 9 I mean 10 8 7 what am I talking like 10 10 8 6 thing they say 6 you're gonna flop a draw - you need a 9 a skin a skin thing moving nice and solid I'm telling you right now I'm gonna hit a 9 on the top the predictions yeah let's just see the flop yeah a flop comes 7 6 3 so Mike didn't catch the 9 but it did catch the 7 he is out in front now with a pair of sevens this can Carlos must catch a queen or Jack to take the lead just that quickly Mike Mustafa now has over 700,000 and he's starting to get annoying - Carlos Mortensen just like that net the middle of your back you can't quite swap back in business cuddles like he's sticking away 355 total one time Carlos had the worst hand one time he had the best hand but he lost both pots and in order to set Li these things and Mike has doubled up twice in a row yeah the matter - he's not smiling any longer even the fish get lucky sometimes he knows it's never easy to take these titles that's for sure he still has a nice chip lead but one more double up by this guy and Carlos's chip lead will be down to about two to one is old one of the blinds of thirty and sixty thousand action going to Carlos looks down at the King ten and he's just gonna bet enough money to cover him what are you doing trying to put me all in here or something that's exactly what he's done yep oh but missed off with a pair of sixes call well Mike is gonna make the call with two sixes he has the best hand right now he's got here any bet more tonight yeah so we've got a race situation here pal it's a black six on the flop you know how you do it if Carlos wins the race he'll be our champion black six I mean if there's a red six I'll take it - but I don't know if you could find one in there if Mike wins it he'll double up yet again for the third consecutive hand all right let's rock and roll well this a healthy pot 1.4 million in this pot you're feeling the pressure a double in the upland I'm feeling they're gonna win in this sense I said I feel I'm a winner on this hand and a ten comes off as well as three that's not a good flop from my hand unbelievable you still have one out six of spades that's the only card he can win the pot with lay for the Spaniard two cards remaining well a jack comes off actually a good car for Mike in the d now it's twice as many outs the six of clubs will win it for him now as well he needs a six or spade or the six of clubs Carlos one card away from making history where the fire comes out Carlos makes a flush those Morton's and another folks you have witnessed poker history tonight he is captured his fare World Poker Tour title he has become the all-time running leader on the World Poker Tour wrote you're looking at poker greatness right there the matador has slaved the fool one more time as he goosed the rail kisses his girlfriend these are champion [Applause] about 195 ways let's see if you had that back in business Carlos I'm feeling this congratulations to carlos mortensen for winning the inaugural Hollywood Poker Open Ellis is now a three-time WPT champion and the old time money winner for the WPT prevents Van Patten and everyone at the World Poker Tour I'm Mike section saying thanks for watching and until next time may all your cards be live and your putts be monsters I don't understand what this is for World Poker Tour is praat to you by club WPT calm never lose another dime playing poker guaranteed welcome to Las Vegas and the beautiful Bellagio where we are moments away from the start of a WPT final table that will pit Justin Smith one of the best young players in the game against a man who used to be one of the best young players in the game but is now just the best player period the incomparable July V I'm Kimberly Lansing and this is the World Poker Tour [Music] well the crowd all the extreme miracle [Applause] [Music] as you can see from the reaction of last season's Bellagio Cup champion Alex Gomez winning a WPT title is a poker players ultimate thrill this year 350 three players pointed up $10,000 in hopes of capturing that very same feeling but as is always the case on the WPT nothing comes easy let's get ready to kick off season 9 let's shuffle up and deal day 1 attracted 243 new and familiar faces to Bellagio with more to come with registration being extended through day three among them was Alex Gomez looking to defend his title jennifer Tilly had her tournament life on the line when she was all-in with top hair but James Van Alstyne had her out kicked and she was one of the first casualties of the day and they just kept coming Matt stouts ace-king ran into WPT champion live across Kumar's pocket aces and vidiq rose to the top of the chip count then Kevin saw who won this event back in season six tangled with poker hall-of-famer Billy Baxter Kevin's flush draw did not improve and shortly after he was eliminated from the tournament day one ended with 162 players still in the hunt and four days away from a prestigious WPT title leading the way was WPT Bucharest champion guillaume dark or young gun Phil Collins and the Costa Rican Beauty Paulo Martin's prize help flow turns house oh it's fine day 267 new players in the field bringing the count up to 310 total players looking around the room the toughest table had to be table number 54 filled with three WPT champions and tough tournament pros this was the table to watch Alex crouch Chango tangled with WPT champ John Buchanan on an 8 high flaw Alex didn't mess around and put Shawn all in Shawn's top pair was dominated and he was sent packing the other WPT champions at the table Mike Watson and Olivia Bousquet were also eliminated and just when you thought this table couldn't get much tougher their seats were filled with Joseph big Egypt el Pia and WPT Champion Daniel lies both Daniel and the norwegians superstar Annette Obrestad emerged from the table with healthy chip stacks I keep getting a lot of good flops two uses another player who surged to the top of the chip counts on day two was Jordan Morgan I tried to be lucky when I can may have been today for sure when the dust cleared 112 players were left at Bellagio with only three days between them and a WBT title the Fontana lounge was buzzing on day three as the latest registration in tournament history brought in 43 of the biggest names in the game the opportunity to buy in this late I have to take it you know we're down to 120 people from like 350 while some pros got off to a good start others found an early exit by the time I got into my chair I'd folded the nine three of clubs and then played the two tens so I played two hands as the money bubble approached satellite qualifier dansad in a [ __ ] was facing a min raise from Alex Melnick ow and made a tight lay down four or five players from making it in the money I thought it was worth you know playing conservatively but probably there was a big shock in the room cuz they're not supposed to do that I guess so everyone knew I was an amateur the unlucky bubble girl Kathy Lanie was sent to the rail by WPT champs with the trencher and players started quickly falling first Hartman's odds were really excited and learned a lot and phil ivey slow-played a set of eight for a timely double up through EPT champs more it's chronic to keep them in contention because Corinne Annette Obrestad pushed all in with a straight and flush draw she was finally called by Corey Hoffman with a set of sixes and that did not improve and was eliminated in 35th place then in a double elimination men win and David Baker were taken out by former WPT finalist Eric panty Oh - how can you get combination an auto guy wake up with two kings Eric finished the day as chip leader with 31 players remaining two days away from the WPT final table today I came in with 80 really happy about that obviously because everyone else starts to [Music] the pressure was high on day four as we were playing down to six for the WPT final table dan stood in a [ __ ] survived one all-in but phil ivey didn't end up keeping dan around for too long I was running low on chips and I had an ace nine and I pushed it all in and one of the professionals had ace Queen called and I didn't get lucky he goes Phil as play progressed many players found themselves on the rail like my slide that made it to the way you know it's disappointing but honestly you just have to get used to it it's part of the game try to find those royal flush girl that you got that's how I was scoping the casino in the largest part of the tournament room John Cara dad doubled up through Erick patio to Eric's hopes of making a second WPT final table at the Bellagio cup were dashed as he was soon after eliminated Zach Hyman was the unfortunate TV Bubble Boy and the final six players were sent but what a final six we ended up with Phil Ivey is making his ninth WPT final table appearance after buying into this tournament on day 3 along with 43 other top named pros of those 43 only Phil Ivey survived and we have Justin Smith who made this same final table a year ago blew out his knee in a freak injury and had to be helped out of the arena he's back once more with a ton of chips and very healthy indeed also in the hunt our German champion Moritz cronic the talented young Brit robbed a curry an amateur poker player from Canada Eric a free OTT and our chip leader Ozzie John Cara dad the battle for this prestigious WPT title here at Bellagio is about to begin so let's turn it over to pokers best commentators Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten thanks Kimberly I'm Mike Sexton along with Vince Van Patten ready to bring you all the action from the Bellagio Cup well Mike it is great to be back here with you our ninth season on the World Poker Tour right here in the Fontana lounge and what a final table we have this is gonna be a good one stay with us we'll be right back for the start of the final table right [Music] palacio cup final table is about to begin so [ __ ] up and let's watch the what we begin tonight's World Poker Tour rookie you buy club WPT calm there you can see the winner tonight gonna take home over eight hundred seventy five thousand runner up nearly six hundred thousand our chip leader is John Cara dot from Australia with five point 1 million and what a worldly final six it is for from foreign countries to Americans including the great and legendary Phil Ivey the and he's gonna be five thousand blind thirty and sixty thousand the cards have been dealt young rob a curry looking at his hand it's a lousy three deuce ending quickly full I'm from England right behind him the Canadian Eric Alfred out he's gonna fold right now more rich Kranitz from Germany with an A seven of diamonds pretty good starting hand he's gonna raise it up makes it owning twenty five thousand to go right behind him the Australian John Kerr dad looks down at a pair of eights get that mid pair that you often wonder what you do with him when a guy in front of you raises he's gonna make the call yeah great player Phil Ivey going out and now Justin Smith they call him boosted J also gonna fold he made this final table a year ago and has made it again Vince very impressive by Justin so to wait action then look at this flop three of a kind for John Kerry dad and aces their foot Moretz could be the hindenburg for the German here he's flopped top pair but he's up against bottom set he checks after raising free pop and John is not gonna play his three of a kind of sneaky his bet hug it in the 50,000 he gets the call here by moritz I went to the turn now five of Hearts comes off on the turn and more to reason before the flop flop top pair has checked again and mort's is drawn completely dead here as we say no card he can catch the win it just a matter how much it's gonna lose with the chip leader from Down Under properly developer with the three of a kind right now setting up more chips not gonna play it slow pushing in 400,000 and before this pot started Morris was in second chip position so the chip leaders clashing on deal number one here and it gets a call again by Moritz what a disaster here happening Hannibal one river card coming up the jack comes off it may save the German some money because you might have put the guy on a Jack in which case he now have three jacks 75 and without hesitation the Australian fires yet again 725,000 more what's making the right decision who shakes loose and he is he's gonna show his full house well maybe looking very interested everybody looking at that dancing a bit too much you must be nice to flop a SAP in the first thing you know I wouldn't be showing these guys my card if it was me to be crowned a WPT champion is in to why something money can't buy I love to do the second mozzie where do I sign well johash have one here at Bellagio will John Karen I'd be the next Ozzy to do it just a great start for the chip leader there take him down the first pot look at this John Kerry dad has picked up a pair of sevens in hand number two in the middle pair work great for him last time as he flopped the set to win the pot so why not play the two sevens makes it 165 thousand ago but Phil Ivey right behind it with an ace Jack you're gonna make the call here Justin Smith out as is Rob a curry and Eric also a two way action Ivey involved and Ivy picks up aces comes to a 6-3 all spades now the Australian does have a flush draw he's got the seven of spades and he makes the continuation bet here yeah hundred forty grand Phil not going anywhere he's making this call here comes the turn okay a Club's comes off have you still out in front with the ace jack but the amateur continues to fire this time 350,000 eiope with no Spade his hand but he does have aces well the graphics you see or in four colors what we call a four color deck in poker spades are black hearts are red diamonds are blue and clubs are green Mike what's the difference so bad beat is a bad beat in any color well most online players love used for color decks because it helps them identify flushes we don't miss read your hands an IV is gonna speculate makes the tough call the four hearts comes off helps neither player what will the Aussie do Willie fire the third time yes with just a pair of sevens gonna stick out 500,000 ahead it's tough Vince to put an amateur on a bluff firing three bullets this guy has done it here Phil Ivey up to the task to make this call now this'll be most all his chips if he makes the call here we'll be down virtually to the felt if he would lose this pie he is staring this Australian down watching those facial expression the Aussie is making a lot of them not a great poker face and look at this Phil might have picked up on it he's making a solid call and cool nice swing by Phil just wonder that that week he's been was the tip that I needed insight for that situation [Applause] now you know the Australian saying to himself Vince you know I might be the chip leader here but maybe I should try to pick on somebody else besides the world's greatest player not good call this season on the WPT we have a new feature which brings you in-depth analysis and uncensored commentary from one of the brightest young minds in the game in a segment we call the raw deal hi I'm Tony Dunst known online as bond 18 let's take a closer look at that last hand there's a part of me that's impressed by John Kerry dead simply because he has the balls to try and Bluff Phil Ivey however the River Bluff is a clear mistake and here's why first is the sizing when John bets 500k into a pot of over 1.4 million he's laying IV an excellent price at nearly four to one to make a call with anything in his range that I showdown value second I think John is feeling to think about IVs hand range properly here although John likely thinks that Ivey can call a small flop bet with a wide range of hands including many holdings that are drying and don't have showdown value a number of the hands that Ivey would call both preflop and the flop with like king queen king Jack and King 10 containing a spade pickup showdown value on the turn additionally John can't be sure that if Ivey had a drawing hand that he would merely call on two streets instead of putting a raise in somewhere to try and blow John off a weaker holding by the time they reached the river John should know Ivey almost always has a hand with showdown value and John's best play would have been to check and pray that Ivey checks behind in steady bets and to exacerbate Jon's problems he completely fails to keep his poker face together come on I've seen girls say I don't usually do this kind of thing with more believability in their face than this guy in the middle of the bluff look here he's squirming in his chair feigning a weaker smile I mean I'm an online player and I know that doesn't look right I know it's hard but when you make a WPT final table you've got to set your emotions aside to maintain your physical composure especially if you're gonna get creative against players that are the caliber feel like we will be right back with more from villagio including my interview with season 8 WPT Player of the Year Faraz Jaka don't go away but you put people on crazy monkey my nemesis Justin Smith Eric I quit all day at day two and day three and a lot of day forward so I now have a lot of history with him he just kept on taking my chair taken my trips you really have my number yeah he told me that I gave him nightmares from the past few nights we're gonna have to check run along then and see if I'll stone his dreams welcome back to the World Poker Tour brought to you by club wptz.com you'll never lose another dime playing poker guarantee all right to the felt we go young rob a curry quickly folding his hand Eric a free at a clothing man Canada also folds now the German going out to around to the Australian John Kerry dad looks down a queen Jack on the button he's still the chip leader still the chip leader but the guy sitting in his blinds are what we call defenders and just two of the toughest players if not the toughest in the world Phil Ivey and Justin Smith well John has made it a hundred and forty five thousand ago but still I be gonna get stubborn he's got a pair of threes it makes the call now into the twenty two-year-old who stood Jay Justin Smith and he's got a queen 9 he's getting about four to one odds on his money so certainly getting a price to call here but look at this fence he is gonna raise it he's making what we call a squeeze play that's where one guy is raised another guy is called and even though you don't have much you come over the top just thinking if the first guy goes out the second guy's gonna go out and you can pick up all that money that's out there what a play by Justin Smith stated five hundred fifteen thousand into the Aussie no he folds his hand around the IV and I be very suspicious that Justin could be making the squeeze play no one he's very capable of it yeah IV is gonna weigh him down so what a great play by boosted J Justin Smith taking down the pot with just a great day looks like he's got a little raincoat on just came in the rain pots nicely done as season 9 of the WPT got underway here at the bellagio cup we took the opportunity to take care of a little unfinished business from season 8 24 year old Faraz Jaka picked up his WPT Player of the Year trophy and honor the man known as the toilet credits just psychological warfare and the power of monkey tilt WPT Player of the Year how does it feel to be on that list it feels great this is my first year playing The WB T's and I mean I came in with a bang I've always stop and get enough to win those tournaments and I didn't win any of them yet but I got three of the year and I had a bunch of all tables so definitely feel great about it your journey began right here at this tournament in this room a year ago how have you changed a lot of it is just how people perceive me now I mean I really don't think that I've changed much as far as the game goes people know a lot more about me now and that obviously affects how they play against me so there's things like that that I take into consideration well you are known for your psychological warfare I don't know how you do it but you put people on crazy monkeys has that changed since the episodes have begun to air I think it's only gotten better in my favor what are you doing outside of poker now the thing that's taking up most of my time right now is a caster boarding company that I co-founded it saw axis caster boarding it's it's basically a new board it's a hybrid sport and it combines the tricks of a snowboard to skateboard in a surfboard and now I'm really excited about I guess that leads into my next question what's your future in poker where do you go from here I'll say I'm a businessman first poker player second chasing my real passion and still playing poker at the same time and as far as this year goes a year after I won Player of the Year I'm not gonna back down because depending on Vyasa I got pay big money to see you in one of those cast reports going down the streets alright the antes are going up to 10,000 flies of forty and eighty thousand back to the action a quick poll by Moritz chronic and now the chip leader John Kerry dad's gonna raise with King ten of diamonds I'd be going out John been very active so far at this final table picking up some hands but right behind him Justin Smith picks up a pair of tens he's just gonna rear a snow just makes a sneaky call rob a curry going away and now the clothing manufacturer but the very snazzy shirt has gone all in with ace Jack huh looks like a dude and he's gone in for a total of four hundred and five thousand he's gonna get the call by the Aussie well he can well afford to make that call so he does so now it's back to Justin's long yeah he goes all-in over the top he's trying to isolate himself here or at least one a big side pot yeah from the Australian but he goes away so Justin's gonna show the pair of tens you see the Canadian pumping his fist here he's very happy to be in a race situation they have two over cards against the under pair I got I feel like he can triple up if he wins to his father there's Eric's friends that said it could have seen come on sweat the short stack at this point god this tournament to $1,000 satellite dream still alive can he get lucky on this flop yes thanks to leave with two aces there that comes a 6-3 nicely done he gets up from his seat there is hope Justin disappointed here comes the turn well the deuce of Spades comes off so Justin gonna have to catch a ten to win this pot John folda one so we only got one left doesn't happen as the seven of clubs comes off so the businessman from Canada taking down this pot with a nice triple up there play some poker well with that triple Empire everybody it's anybody's game that is right the old shirt man puts the starch on Justin takes down that pot the World Poker Tour is brought to you by club wapt.com play poker for your share of over a hundred thousand in cash and prizes for only 1995 a month never lose another dime playing poker guarantee yeah I love Bellagio it's a beautiful Casino Hotel glad y'all is the best place in the world to play even when you get a bad beat just go outside you see the fountains listen to some music you can't find that anywhere else welcome back to the World Poker Tour brought to you by our season 9 sponsor Club wapt.com well Vance let's share with our viewers how they could become the next WP key finalist courtesy of our sponsor Club wapt.com oh well Mike I have to say I can't believe how great club WPT comp is really for 1995 anybody could put up that money per month and you get to play in tournaments you get to win cash you get to win big prizes and we have a player Lauren Washington who went on to win the WPT championship so I truly feel it is the best deal in poker as they say at the club you'll never lose another dime playing poker guaranteed let's get back to the action Jon's gonna raise it up on an a six here Phil Ivey with the king queen he's gonna make the call he said he loves sitting behind chip leaders he's got position on him now the young 22 year old Justin Smith out online pro robbed a curry also folding to a 25 or 205 why how it is the tale of the clothing man the shirt guy who actually got those cuffs designed at 31 flavors he's also gonna fold a action and here's the flop and flop comes Queen deuce deuce no continuation bet by the Australian and look at this he checked and IV checked right behind him even though he flopped top there to camouflage that fact now a native Spade comes off again John checks but I'm he's not checking this time he's gonna bet 300,000 the Australian didn't make the continuation bet on the flop you think a guy would with the Australian once no more baby he learned his lesson early horn at this final table fool damn and that's a bad thing to do so he lets it go and IV take down the other path Jo IV is probably the best you know what I think he's just smarter than all of us on a poker team do I really need to talk about fly B it's nice surprise what I've recorded the best player in the world definitely one of pokers greatest players of all time Phil obvious in his own league there's times where I play really good there's times where I don't play as well I mean just like any other poker player you know I'm human you know take the game very seriously I have a lot of good results because of my hard work and you know I have some talent for the game just grateful and feel very fortunate debt you know I'm able to play a game that I love and make a living from it I mean I'm you can't ask more he is great but what is about all that hard work I hear he just goes out to clubs and plays craps who are we kidding you ask any pro poker player in the world who the number one player in the world is everyone I'm still man we'll say Phil Ivey he's the top tournament winner of all time the top cash game winner the top online winner he's also made the most final tables in the history of the World Poker Tour right and once again filled with ace Jack of Clubs gonna raise the two hundred thousand ago a few folds around the table his old nemesis the Australian John Kerry dad who's gonna make a call with Queen for John just getting a little stubborn now trying to beat Ivey a pot so bad hasn't done so yet today and flop comes King Jack 10 so I be out in front with the two jacks but John has an open-ended straight draw yeah John is check and I ain't gonna bet away 300,000 and John's gonna make the call with the straight drill Tarek tens on the board John check it again this Carta probably scare ivy he knows the guy's got something he's got Kings he's got Jack's he's got tens or an opening straight throw one of those hands he has to have so Ivy wisely checks in my mind right behind him now a six comes off John just checking he's waving the flag can't win the pot with just a queen I hear corner Ivy's gonna take it down with two jacks and one more time Ivy takes down the Australian yes he does with that hand he'll ideas become our new chip leader how do you like that all right auntie's are going up to ten thousand one fifty and a hundred I'll bakery once again out the shirtmaker out of Canada it looks down at two fives here come on and he's going all in on the short stack just gonna shove it out there with the two fives like we should or it's out the Aussie out as well even cut Ivy to fold booster Jay oh he's got Jack's dog but he's gonna make the call the tailor in a lot of trouble right now that his friends were gone one time one time he says that's the desperation prayer and poker when a guy says one time yeah was that one time the time you hit the aces though early on he needs the second time I shut it away I shoot it again they say one time now but it'll say one time again later and one time again later flop comes king 10-4 so far Justin's two jacks out in front Eric is gonna have to catch a five where he's gonna be heading back to Montreal in Vegas he says he's gonna stay in Vegas why not celebrate wherever you come in well the nine comes off on the turn so the shirt maker from Canada it's gonna pop his last button unless a five comes up on the river and there's his buddies rooting them on can he pull off the miracle come on do this once nope three of diamonds comes off so that's going to do it for the Canadian Erica fought out tonight in sixth place well he shakes hands he's a gentleman he picks up a lot of fans and friends 118,000 to go with it he wants a little bit but the tailor has to say good night and he sticks himself with his pin we're down to five players don't go away we'll be right back with more exciting poker for two-bike WPT so exciting I love coming out the last possible it's a break even play coming this light here - big disadvantage and that you don't have very many chips but you're in an advantage there's only a hundred players left and and it's just kind of nice now you know I'm do maybe um this could be it I love it I can play nine hours today nine hours tomorrow I'm at the final table knock it off after about five boom-boom in ER focused and ready [Music] I forgot to win a hand today spell like me not very many tournaments where I don't want a single man welcome back to the World Poker Tour that is the very colorful and genius poker player Phil Hellmuth who came who saw who busted well Phil Ivey like Phil Hellmuth bought in on day three this tournament the difference is Phil areas at the final table with the chip lead all right down to the felt we go five players remaining and the Aussie Jon Cara dad very tough so far amateur player quickly folds and now Phil Ivey with a pair of five is gonna raise the 250 right behind him the 22 year old superstar Justin Smith looks down at an ace 10 diamond could be raising on any two card so he's gonna look him up here with the ACE 10 makes the call English friend Rob a3 not gonna play his hand and now in the big blind the German Moritz cranek Marlin there's been a look at a pair of eights in he says all-in Wow and a healthy all-in bet it is he's at 2.30 and he's only got about 3.5 so he's not gonna make the call too much money good luck right there but boosted Jay is considering this with this age 10 and again he's got about 3.4 million awesome 2.3 to make this call tough to make with an ace and I can tell you Justin shaking his head it's a beauty about having an ace in your hand unless your opponent specifically has two aces the worst you're gonna be is about a 2 to 1 dog doesn't matter what he has like 30 more seconds it's ironic and then if he could see more it's his hands he would beat him in the pot here because he'd be getting a great price to call in a race situation is just as dad's having a coronary there can't watch like a migraine headache playing poker professionally for years I definitely think I've the best you pretty sure of the Moores playing in his first-ever WPT event made it to this final table has had some success in Europe doing very well and his first WPT win I phoned the EPT in Deauville one and a half years ago biggest poker accomplishment so far and all in all the field in this tournament was much tougher than it was under there so it's already accomplishment for me to be on the final table one tough customer this Moritz alright back to the felt we go actually stolen is Justin he quickly folds and now the Englishman Rob a curry looks at an ace Jack and he's gonna show had done much so far but all the sun's going all-in here with the ACE Jack boards out the Aussie out as well but I he picks up a squeeze oh and he's gonna call Rob a curry in a bit of trouble twenty-four-year-old in his first WPT tournament as well ace jack up against IV's ace queen well ace queens been the nemesis of Phil heavy over the years at these final tables let's see if it holds up here here we go now flop comes 8 6 4 so far so good for Ivey is ace Queen still winning the board compared twice where they split the pot the winner Rob needs to catch a jack yup he doesn't catch it there 6 the board Esper sixes so when a tour 4 would give them a split the jack will give him the win otherwise the Brit it's gonna be heading out of here rob has to get extremely lucky otherwise it's back to playing checkers on his shirt let's see the river yeah I said if he wins he's gonna buy a villa in Vegas he's gonna have to hold off on that villas the night a spade comes off and that's gonna do it for the Englishman Rob a creek out into play yeah takes home an impressive a huggin 69,000 post to 170 shakes hands he's a gentleman he's young he'll be back I'm sure and IVA takes one step closer to capturing his second WPT title won't a squeeze been like poison ivy with phil ivey in the past on the World Poker Tour Phil is out of this world once again the ace Queen came back to Holland just like you did at Foxwoods ace queen is a this just in from WPT live updates people are tweeting phil ivey now winning with ace-queen hopeful world in trouble now we're down to four players at Blasio stay tuned I'm definitely an action junkie you know I like betting on a lot of different things I just can't help myself you bet what's your bankroll can't afford you know it's just all relative you know what might be big for you might not be big for me that's putting it mildly rents I welcome back to the World Poker Tour brought to you by club wapt.com that was Phil Ivey who's our chip leader right now doesn't matter what activity it is whether it's on the golf course betting on games playing in the pit or playing high-stakes poker Phil Ivey is always gambling at the highest levels possible right to the felt we go John Cara dad how much a player out of Australia quickly folding and now Phil Ivey with the button with a 9/10 is gonna raise 250 to go the position raised on the button booster Jay out but more Ritz is gonna call with ace nine no time it could be raising with any two card so he's gonna look at a flop here when it's come 973 this flop could be big trouble for ivy these flop top pair the problem is more it's a flop top pair with a better kicker Moretz has checked it and I he's gonna bet what the nines he bets 350 and the Germans just gonna slyly call here comes the turn very surprised the German didn't raise him there when an ace comes off maybe smart not till he's hit two pair now and he's gonna check again and he's checking I have you gonna check right behind him how's that for poker instincts down to the river we go German in great shape now a six comes off now Moritz quickly is gonna bet 750,000 well Phil might be in action chunky but this is the time to pull back and you can see his mind just whirring away right there trying to put the pieces of this puzzle together this would be a nice pot for more Ritz gained a lot of confidence take one down from Phil and it's gonna work then poker money saved his money that IV didn't bet on the turn and threw his hand away in the river when his opponent fed I got it's Oktoberfest here the fun time a lounge very nicely done by the German war it's 30 years old out of Hamburg all right yeah we're going around to the next hand Justin's gonna raise it on the button with a nine eight makes it to 40 to go war it's out but the Aussie John Kara dad is a property developer in Australia an amateur player playing in his first ever WPT event but he's gonna make the call no one this young 22 year old from America is a very aggressive bold player and looks like a good thing he did is he flopped two aces as it comes ace nine three with two spades and the Aussies gonna check try to trap a little bit we'll just to make the continuation bet with the nines yes he does 340,000 guess who's getting down some raisin chips chameleon strike well 1 million straight is the bet that should send the message loud and clear to Justin that your two nines are total or any good only 22 years old high-stakes cash game player make him the right lay down right there nicely done there the last two parts the foreign players have got the best for the tough Americans there's a couple other Royal Flush girls Melanie and Sinisa enjoying the moment at Bellagio we are as well and the antes are going up to 15,000 lines now 60 and 120 John Cara tied with a quick fold Ivey out and now Justin Smith with a 4 3 of clubs Justin's in the small blind he's gonna limp in and make the call want to see a flop of this hand the German war it's behind him with a king 3 in the big blind had an option to raise but he's content to see a flop the flop comes Jack nine six all hearts Justin of course has nothing but he is gonna bet trying to win this pot right here but it's not gonna work that Morris has a king high flush draw so he's going to make the call yeah two hundred and thirty thousand worth turn card coming up ten of diamonds comes off a bit of a scare card to both players even though it doesn't help them looks like it might help the other guy well Justin checks and the German checks behind him we're going to the river ace of diamonds comes off on the river Justin knows the only possible way to win this pasta bet at it and he's doing that five hundred and sixty thousand Moritz goes out so Justin Smith fighting for that pot whooping on the river to take it down so Justin Smith with the pressure catch the German to take his summary into the ocean tense doesn't open the hatch and then set down a dive dial and the German one [Music] I'm Melanie one of the world's best girls and they're watching the World Poker Tour [Applause] [Music] I'm dating a guy I would love to play hooker one-on-one and find out about his personality see what kind of tricks he has with his sleeve but guy doesn't know when to fold that's like a turn-off for me if the guy is bluffing in the game that's okay just can't be too often to keep bluffing on me [ __ ] you by club wapt.com and right now the Aussie John Kerry debt has raised Ivy's calls with a pair of deuces and look at this Morris Kranitz with king queen is gonna call here comes the flop so three-way action here flop is Queen Queen four hearts great flop from war he slapped three Queens but he's gonna try to trap he's quickly checked as does John and Phil Ivey no one's gonna fall in that trap here comes the turn card it's a jack Jack's gonna help John Cara dad yeah that's gonna help him get broke and more it's not gonna play it's sneaky anymore it's gonna stick out a bed of 525,000 with his three of a kind so the chip leader with the two jacks drawing dead as we can see no car he can catch he's gonna win him this pot so whatever he puts out there just kissing goodbye well he doesn't know better he's gonna make this call he's in trouble if he gets out of the way we're going to the river here and the three comes off and more it's very well aware is opponent - dev - Jack's here so he's gonna make a bet on the river and a healthy bet it is seven hundred and seventy thousand Jeremy puts more sauerkraut into the pot through a circular this is troubling if you're the aussie well he's asking him how many chips he has left which is totally irrelevant you're never in a million years gonna raise here with a jack down in this pot you might make a crying hall which if he does he'll lose his dough but never ever are you gonna raise you're gonna call or fold and he's making the call the Oz he's gonna make the mistake he has paid him off the three queens of the German going to win this pot and with it he's going to take the chip rate at this final table he has taken the tank and he's rolling over parties to complete the light of his trimming friends chanting on the rail [Applause] I mean Oh your friends always think you're at the soccer game but this is not soccer event it's the World Poker Tour four players left so we've got the greatest poker player in the world Phil Ivey still live fighting it out for a second WPT titles Phil's 9th final table winners gonna take home find their hopes dashed on the turn of a card the thrilling conclusion of the Bellagio Cup six starts now right here on the World Poker Tour [Music] they are bare knuckles in the center of the Ring who would love to knock this loudmouth out [Music] I have you staring this Australian down [Applause] the shirt maker out of Canada it looks down at two fives I'm long mr. J whoa he's got jacks at all so that's gonna do it for the Canadian Erica tonight in thick plaits Rob a curry looks at an ace Jack and he's gonna show but I he picks up a squeeze oh and the Aussies gonna make the mistake he has paid him off though the three queens of the Derby gonna win this time and with that he's gonna take the chip away at this final table [Applause] as you can see from those highlights we've got a good one here tonight in Las Vegas I'm Kimberly Lansing and let's not waste any time but go right down to pokers best commentators Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten thanks Kimberly we started four days ago with three hundred and fifty three players making for a first-place prize of eight hundred and seventy-five thousand dollars well Mike a new WPT champion ight on the World Poker Tour let a lot more poker to be played cars are ready to fly let's check the chip count first and then get back down to the game six million but in second place the legendary Phil Ivey making this ninth WPT final table appearance going for a second title tonight the Royal Flush girls look on all right auntie's are gonna be 15,000 lines at 80 and a hundred sixty thousand cards have been dealt at boards Kranitz quickly folds his hand as does John Kerry dad from Australia feel like we're gonna limp into the small blind with the eight five of diamonds when a two-year-old superstar Justin Smith is the worst to card starting hand you can have and hold a Miss a seven deuce off suit but he gets a free flop happy to get one flop comes eight six four two diamonds what a flop for ivy well as you can see we're using the graphics for the four color deck and very clear to see Phil Ivey straight flush draw there in blue he's gonna bet a hundred and sixty thousand booster Jay as they call him he's gonna try to get fancy here he's gonna make a raise going to 480,000 I was just trying to take this pot away from Ivey it's more you have - no hmm hiccup - noon Ivy says how much you got in your wallet sir one point one point I'd be looking to extract it all here just trying to figure out what's the best way to do it going all in here and Justin Smith to be going all out I can promise you that a meek smile by Justin gonna make one of those macho plays with a seven deuce off suit but how great is this to start off another season on the World Poker Tour with the likes of Phil Ivey still left with four players left the TV's unit like that one it's so tempting to try to fully a Phil Ivey out so you want me in there with the do seven awesome good job I thought I was curse of the WPT attic person I'm glad I won the last one you know the video sucked a via my my violent a without one win you know I think I'm supposed to win 1 out of 5 saw every night so in this one today to you know get my average back to more respectable Vince he said he liked to win 1 out of 5 the truth is you'll take 2 to 1 no more than 3 to 1 anytime he sits down at the final table you'll never have to lay them 5 to 1 believe me all right back to the cards action on Phil he's gonna raise with a pair of deuces makes it 400,000 Justin Smith out the German more it's not gonna play yeah yeah what are their Aussie John Cara dad you know down with King Queen sitting up in a seat he's a property developer in Australia only 36 years old not a professional poker player but he is battling beautifully here tonight with the best then playing poker for seven years this is first WBT event and he's gonna make this call with just king queen wants to see a flop so IV with the deuces John with the king queen here's the flop seven seven four nothing happening there for the Aussie and he's gonna check let's see if the great Phil Ivey will make the automatic continuation that over look at this Vince the Aussie has pulled his sunglasses down though usually when players do that it's an indication they're gonna play the pot maybe that through IV off of betting on the flop there with his two pair and it's may cost him cuz the Queen comes up on the turn right he checked it and look at this the Aussies hit his queen they both check and now a three of diamonds comes off so I'm sure John feels like he's got the best hand that with Queens up he's reaching for chips he's gonna bet it Wow a half a million well this is the case where he was thrown off by the Australian just indicated he had some kind of hand on that flop and now the AWS is gonna try to throw him off again by doing the old water bottle trick I'm so casual I'm so strong hurt me friend but we know he's pretty good bill Abby's mother I'd be very proud of the success that her son is that in his life he's gonna get paid off yeah there you go I'd be making the call to compound his problems here he recognized it now had he bet on this floppy to one that pot he paid him off on the river that awful Aussie chant goes out for the room of the Fontana lounge well done John we've got more from bellagio Cup including five questions with Justin Smith Tony Dunst giving us the raw deal and my interview with Mike the mouth Matusow a lot going on don't go away it's not over yet registering late I loved it because I was able to play the cash game for the first two days and encounter pop in on day three crazy that's where else do you get a chance to just come in people left I think a lot of us are gonna do it you know we don't have a ton of chips but if I double up I mean we got a shot who's a nice day is edition they were this worked out so far coming in day through maybe I'll give it another try see how or shot the next time well Vince let's share with our viewers how they could be the next WPT finalists with the help of club wapt.com I love club wptz.com it is amazing but 1995 a mile that's all you pay you get to play in all these tournaments you can win big money big prizes you know the 1995 that is like the best deal ever in poker well as they say at the club you'll never lose another dime playing poker guaranteed that's right okay let's get back to the table John Kerry Devon he's gonna raise here with the King ten it's at four hundred and twenty thousand ago he's the chip leader he's in position here but that's not stopping Phil Ivey from coming over the top and re raising it makes it 1.1 million with the ACE Jack offsuit through what you go Kazuto Justin out two point three to five three said two point three nine to five three well John looks like he's in terrible agony here he asked me how many chips he's got now you talk about details on a player Vince it's very obvious he doesn't have that strong of a hand and I promise if he moves in now I beat him in the pot well John does lay it down I'm a good thing for him he did shows because I'm certain that IV would have called him there next time I get it I should just focus it's a power poker by Phil Ivey right there and I feel like there's a cool customers there is in the poker world that's for sure taking down a pot going for a second WPD title already leads in every possible category in the poker world most tournament money won most cash game money won most online money won he's the man now the antes are going up to 20,000 though and a hundred and two hundred thousand and right now Phil Ivey with ace five has raised a five hundred thousand come on but all and by Justin Smith like behind him I mean now asking him how much he's got that's an exact count here I'm gonna send these guys each a calculator for the birthdays would be the call of the tournament but no can't take the heat got a nice all in bed by the 22 year old Justin Smith who's made back-to-back final tables in this same event then he's third last year looking to improve upon that this year at 22 Justin Smith is the mirror image of Phil Ivey a decade ago talented feared and playing nosebleed steaks at a tender age last season Justin ended in third place at this same event in a memorable final that saw him blow out his knee and having to play the rest of the match in excruciating pain now justin is back and focused on doing the one thing he's never accomplished for all his success he's never won a poker tournament a year ago at this tournament you took third place playing on television do that live up to your expectations I played on television a few times before it didn't really affect me at all it was cool to finally be a WPT final table because that's what everybody used to watch before they've been sorry playing poker unfortunately I couldn't take that one down but I'm pointing another out hopefully win a WTA was it a wise decision to have Mike Matusow sweating you at that final table I mean it's not like I asked him to come but at least I had some competition with Alex's fans Mike equals like seven Brazilians you're really a high-stakes cash game player you have to be the youngest guy at the table you're 22 I'm old I'm like I'm like an old fogey in this business I've been around the block what's the bigger adrenaline rush playing in a high-stakes cash game or a big tournament poker game life WPC that's a pretty good question it really depends on how big of a poker game what what keeps you playing I want to do whatever I can to be the best that's just my whole motivation I'm definitely ready to win a tournament I don't know how I haven't done it yet but uh I'm sure it's gonna happen sooner or later well Mike Justin says he's old if he's old we're fossils my friends we're an archaeologist delight Vance after Justin going for his first win tonight in great shape has a chance to do it let's see if he can't I'm all on my back the table Moritz from Germany with a Stein has gone all in Michael and a quick call by John from Australia with ace-queen Wow Wow he also has a nice alright yeah I'm just gonna easily muck it they are plunging away here at the Fontana lounge and another ace there for guys with aces yeah amazing that's very rare yeah more says you're good he turns up the ace nine his opponents got the ACE Queen German right now Moritz planets in a lot of trouble a massive pot nearly six million in this pot whoever wins it's gonna be the chip leader well it's the first WPT tournament for both of these players good flop for John is it's come king ten eight could be over for moritz he needs to get extremely lucky if he's gonna stick around go straight draw sweat seven of spades elsewhere you got to catch a nine or combination of two runners to make it straight but he is up against it right now the German not looking good [Applause] so I can catch a jack or queen to win this pot to reject one time please come on real Jon begging for a jacket we know do it for him as well must have one of those two cards - in this hand he has a station for Jon now he wants to get lucky yeah no more cleaning back holding his breath right now got a Dodge here a jack or a queen but he does it as an aide comes off what by the young German troll say the celica is back on the hot dog after that hit via chantings oh you're right back he took the wrong horse and hit him in the head yes well they are cheering there man on and Vince I'll tell you the Australian looks died early six and me right there and you can't blame him that still doesn't happen against you just sick that he could be that unlucky in that situation John Kerry I just took a tough beat one of many we witnessed this week at Bellagio as we go to break here's a look at the pain of Poker he called my race with I don't villagio poker is a destination due to the type of games that we offer here from small limits to the highest limits in the world it's one of the best casinos in the world for sure especially for poker you're back at Las Vegas at the World Poker Tour brought to you by club wapt.com where four players are going after close to 900,000 and players from around the world do love coming to Bellagio if you're a poker player you got to love the action here to the table we go our chip leader from Germany and more Ritz quickly folds his hand now John Cara dad a woman looks up one Jack and moves all in let him look at the second card uh-oh I call as justice Smith has made the call with two queens Oh hundreds in check at least he'd like an over card King or an ace Wow doesn't get it he's got a jack six offsuit as you can see Justin nearly a 90% favorite to win this pot check six one time and eliminate the Australia well he said look I just had a squeen cost 189 maybe I can get lucky now draw somebody a rage of hope happening for John Candy get lucky here no yeah it's come 1084 I'll take it 5 or 7 I've got flour 79 is not the best car 98 not bad either 7 or 9 [Applause] don't make me draw dead they just wants to catch a car where I still have a sweat but doesn't happen [Applause] a lot of respect for this man got a few tough beats but right now we are down to three Smith now in second chip position current chip leader is more it's cranek from Germany and as you said Justin's moving in the second chip position the great Phil Ivey and third place right now look at this war it's on this hand what big slick has raised a 440 thousand Ivey out Justin in the big pond with just a king six of Hearts is gonna call there's 800 thousand out there cost him 242 call so he's getting over three-to-one odds on his money taking a chance here but that flop no help to him as it comes ace 9 3 but it's good for the German that Justin has checked and Moritz with the continuation that sticks 525,000 out there I'll tell you something it's always nice to do the continuation bet and actually catch the top pair - look at this fence Justin has made this call this is what we call a float bet in poker you're making a call with no hand and no draw in an effort to steal the pot from your opponent later on Justin's gonna check here and is if opponent checks Justin's definitely gonna try to win this pot on the river but as you can see Morse has no intentions of checking here he's got a great hand and he's not gonna play it slow it looks like it chips out he drop him in he's gonna put him out there make no mistake about it looks like over 800,000 and just in 22 years old and a lot of imagination but this time it could be backfiring he's drawing completely dead here and he moves he makes it this pot he's just gonna be donating the chips over to the German I can tell you cuz he's not going anywhere and Jessen does give it up after thinking making a move with this pot wisely surrendered what treasure was seen by the German taking it to the American justice spit discussed it after that creativity's one thing taking big spots is another I'm sitting here with Rick Solomon's I'm not quite sure what he does but I do know that it's a poker player you don't want to mess with who are we rooting for right now I'm room for Justin Smith we're gonna we made a deal that whoever one of us wins we're gonna have a party we invited everybody can come in the Royal Flush girls they can come for sure we'll see if Justin can win see you guys in a little bit [Music] I don't think I have a real chance and short-handed against for the high V Justin Smith I will try to be aggressive then and maybe when the conflict but if we really play short-handed for a long time I think I'm not the best welcome back to the Wolfe Poker Tour brought to you by club wapt.com the humble chip leader saying I can't play with these guys please help me but you know he's not doing too bad he's got 7.6 million in chips well that's what he's doing is getting himself an honest evaluation of his best chances to win this tournament any time you're playing heads up for short-handed against guys that you feel are better players than you your mission should be to shorten the match make it as quick as possible try to play big pots try to get in a race situation if on the other hand you think you're the best player your mission should be to stretch out the match and make it last as long as possible I admire the guy for recognizing his best chance might be to play big pots early till I deal with Jack 9 has called Smith has folded and Moritz he's content to see a flop with a queen Jack here's the flop both players a flop second pair Moritz has a better kicker he has jacks for the Queen horse is checked after lamby who's gonna bet two jacks as anybody would after guided and raised before the flop and then checked on the flop we're just gonna call to $200,000 bet there is a nice out there though he's fourth Street because neither player raised before the flop you're just not gonna put your opponent on an ace especially when another ace comes off so again Moritz checks and again Ivy is reaching for chips maybe thinks his opponents got a straight draw or a flush draw here or just two fours he's gonna bet two jacks yeah half a million and Lawrence with a pretty quick call that should turn the light on for Phil ivory that the guy's got something I mean a lot of trouble right now go into the river well the three of diamonds comes off Morris again checks the aces and Jack's that's in my mind this is just an easy check Wow but Phil Ivey is betting 700,000 here he could only get called if he's beat yeah unless you think your opponent's gonna pay you all for the four in this spot well you're just on a stone Bluff or a king I not calling he's been cold and Ivey is not gonna like it he turns up the jacks with a 9 kicker but it's not going to beat the jacks with the queen kicker so the German is going to take this pot down and you can see the anguish look on Phil Ivy's face yeah maybe maybe the greatest player on earth but I didn't like his River bet there for three reasons one he's got the best hand chances are he's not gonna get paid off so he's gains nothing by betting two if he gets check raised he's toast and three it's risk versus reward if it wins the pot he'll have multi-millions anyway but if he loses it going from one point seven million down to 1 million is huge with the blinds and antes as high as they are now now Tony Dunst has been following all the action I'd like to hear what he's got to say [Music] hi I'm Tony Dunst bond 18 online and I do have a lot to say about that hand mic and I must admit I see it rather differently I think it's too easy to be an armchair quarterback and say that Phil made a mistake it's also easy to not agree with his River bet for the reasons that Mike Sexton gave but I think his analysis as results-oriented what happens all the times when Phil bets the river and Moritz folds a worse pair or miss draw what about the times mort's decides to cure a call at the fore or makes a sensible call with a worse jack and ivy ends up looking like a genius for getting three streets of value on a weak holding it's a mistake to believe the end result of a hand dictates what is good play from bad play let's break it down Ivey limps the button holding Jack 9 and 13 big blinds which is strange as most players have played this hand and this stack is a pusher full decision preflop Ivey is likely assuming that Moritz will move in with many of his strongest holdings preflop such as in ace all-pairs king queen King Jack even Queen Jack in order to avoid an awkward out of position spot against Ivey post flop on the flop in turn it seems to me that both players make the standard decision I really like Ivy's river bet though because the majority of the time he has the best hand against Morris's range let me repeat that the majority of the time he will have the best hand against Morris's range and he can potentially get them value Plus prevent Moritz from gaining information in the event he elects to fold when he turns over his hand the look on his face tells me that he believes he has the best hand I think the craziest thing about this hand is not how it played out but that Phil Ivey actually had a reaction after it typically Phil's the kind of guy who remains seated during a game-winning buzzer beater I thought he was a robot but that big reaction proves that he is human what it doesn't prove is that he made a mistake I tell you could boil a cup of coffee on Phil's head right now he is hurting that's in my mind he turned the burners on himself though action he's on Phil Morris is folded and Phil is going all-in with just a claim for hey Paul and a quick call by Justin Smith here knows Abby might be steaming the way played down last pot so quickly calls him with King I excellent call and look at that look mama Ivey in complete pain there right now Justin Smith a little over 60% favored to win this pot and eliminate Phil Ivey from this tournament the flop comes eight five five Justin has two pairs Ivey is up against it now he's got to catch a queen to take the lead or two runners to make a straight or four is full well an ace comes on the turn so we are down to the river and if faux Ivy doesn't catch a queen the king of Poker will be gone in third place his chances of becoming a two-time WPT winner on the line he's a long shot right now can he get lucky well it's a 10 he does not go just like that the great Phil Ivey out there's Phil's mom shattered by this place but he will take home 63,000 it put into his piggy bank phil ivey out here tonight the last hand was questions why have 1.1 million i just took a shot to win the blinds well we're all pretty impressed it's your ninth WPT final table yeah well it's nice to be here again you know hopefully you know we'll make a number 10 real soon Wow it goes to show you he is human a great great player nine times at the WPT final table but he's out right now and we are down to two players heads up action brought to you by club WPT calm as is the custom on the World Poker Tour when we get down to heads-up play it's time for our money presentation so show us [Music] the beautiful Royal Flush girls brought to you by prestigious models in the cold hard cash who wouldn't want to out of that hand [Applause] millions on the table right now comes the customized watch bracelet and trophy that our champion is going to get tonight I tell the truth Benny what's prettier the Royal Flush girls for all the cash they both get you into a lot of trouble we have a great German player up against one of the best from the US 22 year old Justin Smith during the break I spoke to Justin and Moritz here's what they had to say I've been wondering when ever since I broke on in the live scene about a year and a half ago I'm finally happy that I'm that close this is definitely the closest I've been so far so hopefully I can pull it down you and your buddies come to Vegas on a poker trip I'd say this is a pretty darn good finale we won't celebrate together if I get second or first will we pick part it or not heads up action is about to start let's get down to my convince thanks Kimberly well as we start heads-up play Moretz cranek the chip leader by about a two-to-one margin he's got nearly nine point four million in chips Justin Smith with about four point eight million all right action all the German more it's chronic first time playing the WPT event he's got the button and he's just gonna call round two Justin who is a queen eight offsuit Justin happy to see a flop so here we go oh nice flop for Justin he's got two queens Moretz however has an open-ended straight draw and they both check right there I went to the turn four clubs comes off Justin's plan was probably to check raise the flop that didn't happen in his opponent check the opening straight row most people would have bet that but not Moritz with Justin now bets 320,000 and Moritz he's getting chips out yeah he's gonna gamble here and make this call and I always say it's a gamble owners to of a flush on the board because if one of your straight card comes up that that suit you're still a little nervous well he's gambling because he has a lot of chips as well yeah can he get lucky here and I have to catch a five or a ten to one spot and he does advances a ten comes off nice he has made a straight oh don't to it to yourself Justin slow down booster J yeah he thinks his two queens are good so he's gonna bet seven hundred and thirty thousand I don't know that he needed to bet that much to find out what's gonna happen to him right now because as we know he's gonna get raised because Moritz had lightning on the river to make this straight that's two million right there so far and he's reaching for more oh man he's sticking out a rear ace of two million two hundred twenty-five thousand well I see if Justin get away from this hand there's Mike Matusow his buddy but he's got the concerned look on his face as he should have two million children twenty-five thousand right well this was short stack Justin in a big way if he should make this call kind of tough to get away from it I didn't raise on the flop didn't raise before the flop didn't bet on the flop called on the time I love that fall look at that beautiful cold an extensive chip lead by gambling hittin on the river is one of those times right like I'm not sure how I'm beat but I'm pretty sure I'm beat I just don't know how well said talk about expert analysis I'm here with Mike Matusow who's here sweating Justin Smith you know earlier in the week Justin told me having one Mike Matusow is better than having a whole group of Brazilians it's true so I think that he's very lucky having you here tonight because we have a group of very rowdy Germans in the well we'll just have to screw him up here I got out of the shower there was three handed I was just pulling up and he had just busted IV and their head up so I didn't have to wait through all the all the you know ups and downs of the long final table and he didn't injure himself tonight right and he didn't injure himself tonight but it's not over yet nice to hear that the mouth showers here tonight and well mattis I was here a year ago when Justin finished third in this event the Brazilian won that tournament and they were really whooping and hollering for their man and the Germans doing the same thing tonight for their man all right the heads-up battle continues and right now Justin Smith with it very attractive King ten of hearts long and he says all in and they're just not fooling around going all-in not cool Wow he's getting all because more attendees Wow Morris has the best hand right now and if his hand holds up he'll be our champion [Applause] everybody on their feet maddis that with a worried look on her face as he should have can't blame Justin but now it's just up to the Polka gods well nearly 6 million in this pot certainly they can get Justin Smith right back on his feet more it's over there with his German France and if I can just have my head open up I'll be the champion you can't look because the first 300 so far so good for the German yep flop comes 8 7 deuce the ace high still the best hand Justin looking for a king or a tend to take the lead you need to hearts or two cards to make a straight that would win it for them also dalvio peachy title on the lot here's 4th Street 6 comes off that does give Justin a straight draw must catch a king a 10 or a 9 otherwise Moritz chronic is going to be our champion the crowd on its feet well it's planets one card away for taking home $10,000 oh it is a night Justin has made it straight don't celebrate too much congestion we don't need any more injuries out here on the tour Justin those who got very lucky there he hit a river card to stay alive and that book says it all by more if he was one card away was taking home all red cash and putting the trophy on his man talk about a sick beat dusted back in action the World Poker Tour is fraught to you by club WPT dot-com play poker for your share of over a hundred thousand in cash and prizes and even become a WPT champion Oh for only 1995 a month never lose another dime playing poker guaranteed [Music] [Music] welcome back to the World Poker Tour brought to you by club wapt.com and Vince there are a lot of young guns that can really play poker including 22 year-old Justin Smith no doubt about it and right now the heads up badly and he's going up to 25,000 lines a 150 and three let's go to the felt action on booster Jay Justin Smith he's got king-6 he's just gonna call with it when he limps in on the button and more it's happy to see a flop he's got the ten nine and he's out flop Justin he's taking the lead with two nines as it comes Jack's 9 3 he's checking you know checking the Phil Ivey every time one a lot of chips for the German he's gonna try the same strategy here with Justin Smith and it looks like it's gonna work again Vince yeah Justin's coming out for a bet looks like 350 and he gets the quick call by moritz I have actually turned the caution lights on for Justin there now the board pairs threes now Moritz is gonna check again and this time Justin checked right behind him yeah well learned his lesson the rivercourt a four of hearts more it's quickly reaching for chips now he's gonna bet five hundred and fifty thousand advance even though Justin only has Qinghai here he knows he could beat a flush draw or a straight draw possibly with that flop of jak 9 3 and Justin's going to pay him off with King I but this Cole is not going to work Moritz is going to win the pot with nines up the absolute displeasure of Justin Moritz granted to king of the cheques does it again and when you play against aggressive players a lot of times that's the right strategy to extract the most chips from your opponent if they're gonna bet when you check it's working beautifully here so far for Moore's right to the next hand we go war it's down with an ace 5 : and look at this he says all in seems to know with an ace 3 Justin has about 3.3 million in chips I call but he's gonna call it he has made the call with an H 3 I mean whatever hand your opponent has you can never be more than a slight favorite even if he s not going to back into a flush or a straight a six that's come off that means more it's must catch a fire on the river to win this pot and seal the deal right now the Germans got to be saying to himself what is going on here that's twice I've had this guy all in once a day side against Qinghai he won that pot now we both got any time but I got him out kick and I lost again well this tournament started five days ago and Vince it's still not over back to the World Poker Tour brought to you by club wapt.com well you'll never lose another dime playing poker guaranteed right now Justin Smith has clawed his way back to were almost even in chip count and he has got to be feeling real good about his chances now could this be the night Justin Smith wins his first poker tournament all right down to the money pit Rico Moretz cranek from Germany with a 7-6 makes it seven hundred thousand ago well that's his conservative players going out the door now he's gonna get aggressive from here as you can see he's raising here with the seven high but called by Justin out of the big barn with a king Jack flop time flop is ace Queen for the two clubs Justin's gonna check his straight draw and let's see if the German will continue the larceny yes he's gonna try 925,000 give him credit Vince he's trying to win this pot but Justin has made the call for 925,000 with just a straight draw he's got the best hand with King high all right two of the turn we go with three diamonds actions on Justin he's got the ace high straight row but 2/3 gave more it's a 7 high straight draw he needs a gut shot 5o let's slow down and neither player gets a card as the 8 of Hearts hits on the river again Justin checks the King high the German is reaching for chips he knows it's the only way can win this pot is to try to bluff at it he's doing offense he's betting over 1.5 million dollars on a stone cold Bluff that has a lot of heart there by the German to push that in right now well this is kind of well this would be the call of the tournament no doubt if Justin Smith boo CJ should happen to call this that's if you talk to European players they tell you German players are great mathematical players but they lack heart this guy doesn't lack heart here is he bets over me and a half on a bluff well he called him earlier with just the qinghai remember when he thought it might have a straight draw a flush draw had he done it here to win that pot but he didn't oh and look at this bit he's showing him the bluff Wow get the salt shaker and Vance I'll tell you one thing I know that was a bold play right there by the German even though Justin said he had no fare which he didn't but still to bet over a million and a half on the river when he got called before the flop and on the flop with just seven high that shows me a lot of moxie justa trying to say look it's not that good I didn't have anything anyway but brilliantly done and now by the way the blinds are going up to two hundred four thousand and look at this Justin has picked up a whopper pair of jacks just like that wired up know how to play it got a lot of chips close to 6 million you don't want to scare off your opponent but you don't want to look obvious and he's just gonna limp in yeah they're trying to camouflage the fact that he's got a big Duke Morris with a king Tennessee : and the trapped is brought to justice Smith he's picked the cherry off the tree minutes he's got all his chips in there with way the best of it that's all you can do in poker he reeled him in now the question is can he keep the pitcher on the hook for will the fish wriggle off comes on this one getting there I just want look at this Justin knows he played it beautifully well if Justin Smith wins this pot you'll have about 12 million in chips be the monster chip leader in this heads-up battle everybody on their feet Justin over 70% favorite to win this pot [Applause] well let's go Mase Queen deuce with two diamonds so far so good bubbly stood J well the jacks are still out in front however a jack we're now giving opponent of straight so he needs a king or a Jack chairman is overdue to get lucky and that's what he's gonna need now we'll get my straight up angle give him the lead we go with the turn card what will it be [Applause] what a devastating Cod well publice obtained boosted J still has a straight draw and a flush fell vent a diamond will give him a win and the 10 will give him astray - Jack no over windin because that will give his opponent afraid though Jeff had now looking for a 10 for the street or a diamond for the plush he must catch one of those two cards otherwise he's going to be our runner-up finishes the title could come down to this card [Applause] he has gotten lucky and taken down his title heartbreak and disappointment for Justin [Applause] like the mouth almost silence there [Applause] $875,000 in this pocket and the one thing money can't buy a WPT title from Las Vegas this is Kim Lansing saying good night do I really need to talk about fly me it's just so exciting well it might be big for you might not be big for me alright and he's gonna show long now he goes all in over the top trying to find those Royal Flush Girl let's play some poker just have to screw them up here worst things that happen is we got 20 hopefully you know we'll make a number 10 real so next time may all your cards be live and your putts be monster [Music] [Applause] the World Poker Tour is brought to you by club wapt.com never lose a dime playing poker guaranteed welcome to Los Angeles and the legendary bicycle casino which tonight is the home of second chances as three players who've been under the WPT bright lights before take one more shot at poker glory i'm kimberly lansing and it's all happening tonight only on The WB tee [Music] well the ground the drain Sarah the ring he would love enough is loudmouth out [Music] [Applause] hall-of-famer doyle brunson hall-of-famer Dan Harrington they don't call this tournament legends of poker for nothing as some of the biggest names in poker history have taken this prestigious WPT title and so it was no surprise that five days ago we saw 462 players ready to risk it all in hopes of writing their own names alongside the legends day one saw a field of old-school pros going up against the young and aggressive but the start of play belong to poker legend Kathie Lee burr who received the first-ever WPT 100 chip commemorating playing in this per 100 WPT events along with Kathy the field included three former WPT players of the year it was season 8 Player of the Year for oz jakka who proved loose play can result in an early exit I either lost in the first two hours or I found fail that's pretty much how it goes with Feroz out there was still one seat waiting to be filled Royal Flush girls soon Issa and Jennifer stood guard as the tournament clock clicked through level three finally the poker brat himself Phil Hellmuth showed up yeah with Phil settling into some friendly talk with Shane schlager it was Alan Barry who sounded like he was auditioning to be the Polka brats replacement Alan Kessler critic [Music] at the end of the day 181 hopefuls have gone bust leaving only amateur player Andy Frankenberger to breakthrough a leaderboard dominated by young guns Jesse Alvarado Kyle Wilson Tom browband and topped by rising star Phil Collins who despite suffering food poisoning went from worst to first and put himself in prime position to make his first WPT final table day three started with 60 players and chip leader Phil Collins feeling much better and making plans for the final table like sands are tight and Tom the oldest five people that are still left and David Docs and seems to think phil has a point you know a lot online so they have large [Music] but as the field entered the money it was the young guns who fell by the wayside almond makeva Jonathan Aguiar and JC Alvarado Ollie at the rail as did Phil Collins who fell at the hands of WPT Player of the Year Jonathan Whittle as the day drew to a close tightened Tom grabbed and won a race against David sands sending the duck to the door with 15 players left two-time champ Jonathan little had his fifth WPT final table in sight at the end of the day in second place behind the surprisingly resilient amateur Andy Frankenberger [Music] attention filled day four began with the two chip leaders sitting right next to each other but it was the young pro in sixth position Adam Schiffer who quickly got action from the oldest player still in the field for our WPT finalist Tom lien Adam went all-in with pocket queens and got called the Tom's a squib with an ace on the flop and an ace on the turn Adams hopes of making the TV table dimmed and then his hopes vanished altogether as several hands later 62 year old Tom Lee woke up with ace Jack against Adams ace nine busting Adam out in 15th place the biggest hand of day for saw Jonathan littell and amateur Andy Frankenberger go at it Jonathan little bet after a flop of Jack six deuce Andy called turn card comes seven of spades Andy bets and Jonathan calls River is 10 of spades Andy goes all-in Jonathan calls Andy shows he made a backdoor flush holding 8 6 Johnathan bucks gets up and exits in 12th place denied a chance at another WPT title from that point it took just two and a half hours for the field to thin out to that all-important TV bubble with seven players left it was not a young gun but veteran Tom Lee who finished strong knocking out bicycle casino regular Steve Wright's felled and giving the final six players that all-important golden ticket to a WPT final table [Music] as you can see in that recap this legends of poker field was packed with talented young players with little respect for the old guard Phil Collins said it outright he just wanted a table with the five oldest guys in the room so with that in mind Mike Vince does that make 62 year old Tom Lee the sentimental favorite or just a juicy target well Kimberly what we've seen over the years is that experience under the bright lights is a bigger factor than age at these final tables and Tommy Lee is one of three players at this final table that have been at a WPT final table before and Mike as you know that is huge it is very tough to win your first time at a WPT final table now I'll equate that to tennis it's almost impossible to win in your first major at a final but your second time you have a shot poker is the same way three of these guys have been there before they don't care about looking good today they want to take over title well there's only one sure thing in poker tonight and that is we will see a new Legend of Poker crown my convinced we'll be back with the call of the action right after this [Music] I'm seasick in one of the Royal Flush girls and you're watching the World Poker Tour welcome back to the World Poker Tour brought to you by club wptz.com I'm Mike Sexton along with Vince Van Patten and we are ready to get started with this final table and it looks like the cards for about to be put in the air and that means just one thing let's go watch the fluffing begin we started four days ago with 462 players we are down to these six there you see our chip leader from New York Andy Frankenberger with about three million chips okay and he's gonna be three thousand blinds ten and twenty thousand cards are flying around the table first to act as Jared Jaffee he's been here before on the World Poker Tour final table well as fact all three guys in seats 1 2 & 3 have been at a WPT final table before Jared's gonna quickly fold Kyle Wilson who's also been here also folding and now it's up to Tom Lee the senior at the table with an a7 well he's starting out in second chip position here but he's gonna pop it up here with the a7 off suit makes it fifty thousand ago franco Brunetti quickly folding and now our chip leader Andy Frankenberger with an ace Jack Andy's and equity derivatives trader out of New York did that for 15 years now on a year sabbatical what do you think that means I don't know if it means he got fired or just quit to take a year off all right he's gonna call this and now Tom Rob and the short stack at the table they call him tightened Tom he's got a pretty interesting Queen ten of Hearts and he's getting a good price to make the call here he's the youngest player at the table at 25 years old from Huntington Beach California she's a big fly and he's gonna speculate he has made the call so here we go a string away action on hand number one flop comes Queen nine seven nice flop for Tommy's flop top pair Tom broke bad but he's gonna check it Tom Lee with a pair of sevens also checking and frankenburger hitting nothing checks as well so everybody checking on the flop here's the turn Carter 7 comes off oh man Tom Healy the 62 year old former helicopter pilot has bottom set but I'm of course his top pair and is gonna make a wager thinking it's good right now should have bet at the last time but he did not now things are back firing he's bet and look at this Tom Lee gonna muscle him over the top with the three of a kind makes it three hundred and forty thousand ago Rankin Berger has gone away back around to Tom and you're saying to yourself hey the guy checked on the flop now all the sudden is gonna come out firing what is going on here this is an additional two hundred and forty-nine thousand and Tom brough and there is on the shorts like what a nice fold though the first hand going to mr. tomley where the 62 year-old takes the chip lead after winning that pot his name is Tommy Lee but he's not the one that had the attraction to Pamela Anderson of course there's his family off the rail now the antes are going up to 4,000 blinds 12 and 24 right now actions on Jared Jaffee this is the game we call the two day lawyer we've seen him before in the WPT went to law school worked for a law firm two days quit to become a poker player he's folded Kyle folds now Tom Lee again got a raise with just an ace five and one the last pot was in a seven so he's on fire Brunetti out Frankenberger not gonna play it's around to broadband Tom's in the big blind with the 6-3 our hearts just got pushed around by the older guy a moment ago so this is experience versus youth and look at this Vance can you believe it this short stack time brave man is getting out what looks like raisin chips even though he's only got a 6-3 175 175 thousand he's betting here very creative with just e63 a lot of guts and what a good time to do it his opponents only got an 85 off suit yeah yeah he might have picked up something on Tom Lee not being that strong let's see if it's gonna work here said one thing about Tommy Lee we know he's fearless at the table but when you get re raised only have an ace five offsuit then we need to shoot the card straight in the muck he's taking his time here oh and look at this he's going over the top of Lin unbelievable Tommy Lee went all-in with just a nice five off suit nice play by him there Wow oh man and it's going to just spoil the hopes of broadband I guarantee you all those young kids that think those old guys can't play well here's a young guy that's getting a lesson and getting schooled by this old guy right now well the winner of this event has often been an elder statesman can 63 year old Tom Lee join their ranks don't go away we'll be right back with more exciting poker brought you by club wapt.com [Music] season seven here at the legends I admit palpable my finish the six took a bit of a beat here comes the flop comes right on the clock you'll see the disappointed look and Kyle praise the feeling yeah I felt like puking on the table over time don't feel good go back to the World Poker Tour brought to you by club wptz.com I'm Vince Van Patten alongside Mike Sexton where six players remain six players tonight fighting it out for that coveted WPT title and the $750,000 that goes to our winner tonight three of these players the guys in seats one two and three have been at a WPT final table before the other three it's the first time for them all right the action has been folded around to The New Yorker Andy Frankenberger and he has got a Jack 9 offsuit with the button and it looks like he's gonna push makes it 60,000 ago right behind him though Tom broadband has picked up a pair of kings Tom's been kicked around the first couple pots but now he's got the cards to do some kicking of his own here I think when you're on a short stack you can't fool around here but he's gonna fool around just calls it I'm not fond of this play that price is the big blind then to call but Jared Jaffee throws the ace high away oh here we go let's see if the slow play works when it might his Andy is now flopped at the top pair he's got two jacks and broadband going to dig the hole put the twigs and the leaves over it waiting for the sucker to fold in will it be Andy you raised with a jack nine you flop Tampere certainly you're gonna like it so Andy is reaching for chips and he's gonna bet 150,000 now it's heightened Tom 25 years old couldn't look back at the hand like it doesn't really know what he has I just can't believe it he's on the short stack I just can't imagine he's not gonna move in here mullein and he does the correct thing pushes it all in they called and Andrews gonna call what's up hair and you can't blame him for that he just got reeled in because Tom did not re-raise before the flop here as the cards like Tom broadband look he's called Titan Tom because he played baseball at the University of Wisconsin I struck their nickname is the Titans and right now Titan time trying to hit a home run to stay alive and does it right on the turn as the King comes off Andy is blowing dead as we say no part on the river can saving Sadducees fade so there you go the former baseball player knocking it out of the park right there yeah it goes to his friend gets the high fives he's excited tabla man back in action your lad celebrate that's a big hand I'm not gonna go ahead and boast that I'm better than ever at the table because I don't know what they've done in the past I don't know their experience I don't know how they play poker necessarily that well but I have the confidence that to think that I'm the best you don't have that confidence that allows they believe I should so tightened tom is living up to his name and gets up the short stack after doubling up through Andy Frankenberger stay tuned we'll be right back with more action from the legends of poker brought to you by club wpg calm the World Poker Tour is brought to you by club wapt.com play poker for your share of over a hundred thousand in cash and prizes for only 1995 a month never lose a dime playing poker guaranteed people ask me like were you intimidated by Jonathan little actually never heard of the guy I knew that he would call a big hand for me because all day he was saying oh you don't have a you know there just he didn't put me on the hands that I had and so I knew that he was steaming a bit with me and that if I got him in a big pot you know he he would go all the way I think that's the ultimate form of flattery when people tell you're not playing well and you're winning I mean bottom line is look at my chip stack how am I not playing well welcome back to the Wolfe Poker Tour brought to you by club WPT calm amateur player Andy Frankenberger proudly beating Jonathan littell at his own game now back to the action where we find Andy in a hand with Tom Lee who's raised it up with Ace King off suit it's been folded around to Andy who looks down at pocket fives and he's a devil major from Duke and economics and Russian very bright guy he is gonna raise here comes over the top makes it 160,000 to go with the speed limit into Tom broadband we've got lucky in the last few hands and he's gonna fold it back on Tom we don't fight it hot mustard that's two point three one twenty two point four two point three okay yes we saw Tom Lee paying a seven off so pretty strong here II raised the guy all holy in with an 85 off suit a minute ago I just can't imagine he's not coming over the top here with this begin Tom Lee a tough customer who's well respected well white it's like an old commercial nobody doesn't like Tom Lee he plays wildly according to a lot of the players you know changes gears a lot you don't know what he's gonna do but I know this he's played nine WPT events he's cashed four times that is incredible he's just calling here does not re-raise with the ace king it's a little bit faster boys and still look at this Kyle says let's play a little faster he's getting impatient over there flop ten four deuce with two clubs pretty good flop for a pair of fives and he knows it like he's reaching for chips to make the continuation bet he's gonna get aggressive 200,000 tomley hitting none of that board events in my mind if you don't rear a's before the flop of this and you just muck it here well he's the chip leader he could afford this he said unorthodox this guy is liable to do anything as we've seen before there's Wilson the Canadian asking for a clock what that means is the tournament director comes over and gives the player one minute to act on his hand if he doesn't act in that time his hand is automatically did I wanna play he and Jared Jaffee both agree get a clock on this guy and look at this they're gonna push him out pretty fast he has folded did he get pressured by Kyle there a little bit let's take a look at the wonder cam a king comes up on the turn oh man Tom Lee perhaps forced to play fast fold the hand he would have won the problem is that some of these players don't know about the slogan that we know about you think long you think wrong so why I think long boom I got quick decision to move on all right back to the action fold it around to Andy Frankenberger who started this event as a chip leader he has been whittled away this time he's got a queen on the clocks well this the Battle of the blinds here and in a small blind with Queen down two clubs he's gonna raise it makes it 65,000 to go into his old nemesis Tom broadband who has an interesting seven six of hearts yes please get the city connector to 76 trombones he's gonna make the call to wait action flop comes king/queen seven with two spades well and he's checking here I'm surprised you check Queens and that's by a flop Queens and broadband with sevens gonna check as well here comes the turn oh wow another seven well ironically the reverse of this happened a moment ago to Tom or his opponent hit three sevens on the turn to beat him when he had top there in fact they were queens that's right if Frankie burgers got a bet 60,000 and broadband gonna just slow call them with the three of a kind o go into the river well a jack comes off you're sitting an Andy seat pulling didn't bet on the flop didn't raise on the turn you think your queens are probably the best two hands are you gonna fire again here and frankenburger does that's 60,000 that's a small bet though sort of a defensive bet sort of a feeler bet recognize the pots got over two hundred and seventy thousand in it so let's see if Tom can figure that bad out looks like he is getting some reason chips out and indeed he is gonna make it two hundred thousand that heightened Tom could have put pressure on the Frankenberger I called will the burger get charged yes it does he has paid them off broadband taking down that pie that's hella won't played the three sevens on the time paid off because he got an extra bed in on the roof Wow nice him Frankenberger coming out as the chip leader now in trouble taking hits from around the table well done for broadband oh don't go away we'll be back with more exciting poker brought to you by club wapt.com we're really pleased to be hosting our ninth season of the World Poker Tour legends of Poker Championship one of the new additions I love so much is the Royal Flush girls they have certainly created a lot of energy on the floor it's always great when my convinced aren't at the Biturbo we'd love it when the World Poker Tour comes to town welcome back to the World Poker Tour brought to you by club wapt.com we're at the bicycle casino well six players left fighting it out for this title we have been at the WPT final table for three having all six looking for their first WPT title hold it around to the button here broadband looks down at a pair of sevens got the two walking sticks he's a pro player out of Huntington Beach California college baseball player he's gonna raise it makes it 75 thousand to go around to the two-day lawyer Jared Jaffee he looks down at a pair of 9s now he's on the short stack here that's the kind of hand you might just want to ship it with well it is that's what he's done that's what I would do with that hand in this pot Kyle Wilson out that back on bullpen and he's made the call well Tom calls with the two sevens he's hoping his opponents got two over cards or an under pair unfortunately for him the opponents got the dreaded over pair selected domination by the two day lawyer Jared Jaffee let's see if he get lucky with his noise it's come 6 5 2 so far so good for Jared he's well out in front we're a little faster I'm gonna need some help needs to catch a 7 or 2 runners to make a straight two runners to make a flush would do it as well but needs help now a 10 shows up on the turn it'll help the broadband well we're down to the river [Applause] says that's why I got out being a lawyer and that's of course we can't stop talking about this guy because he went to law school took a job as a lawyer quit after 2 days to become a poker player and areas out here in the World Poker Tour what do you parents say about that one prior to this I made the southern poker championship final table I think my friends counted that I might have been called the 2 day lawyer like 20 plus times to day lawyer the two day lawyer to day lawyer to day lawyer I think it's funny everybody else thinks it's funny no that's what I was I was I was a lawyer for two days and now I'm here so at least is validating my decision all right back to the action Kyle Wilson's holding a monster pocket aces a two-day lawyer looks down to suited connectors seven eight of Spades kind of hand you'd like to see flops with he's probably gonna play this in but better flop a lot to crack these aces he does make the call danger lurks here for Jared Jaffee and it might lurk for Kyle now flop comes six six deuce no help to either player action on Jarek let's count doesn't need any help he's got the two aces now Kyle with a monster hand gonna check again slow playing it makes it look like he's got two big cars that aren't paired and now an aide comes off this could spell trouble for Jared he's gonna check the aides here and Kyle's gonna make it a hundred and fifty thousand that's just very well raised here the guy didn't bet on the flop serious that's exactly what's happening that's little play on the flop by Kyle Wilson could work to perfection for him right here because his opponent has check raised on the turn well make it three hundred and fifty thousand ago yeah because it was a possible straight out there a possible flush out there the opponent might have another pair I think he got to come over the top here you can only slow play so long in poker I'm going there it is he has gone all-in doesn't care anymore got me beat you got me beat tangy a tough decision for Jared here the way this hand is played he knows the only way he's beat here is if his opponent deliberately slow player to giant pair on the flop and the two day lawyer solved the case here easy to read a jury than Kyle Wilson more you can read his facial expressions it equals pain he makes the ride lay down he does fold it and Powell Wilson picks up the pot Kyle Wilson Sprint's on the rail celebrating there a check so nicely done by Kyle Wilson oh go away we'll be back with more exciting poker brought to you by club wapt.com in the world poker tour brought to you by club WPT calm [Music] there will be a new champion of Legends this season as reigning champ Prahlada Friedman busted out on day one but before heading back to the Malibu surf this season Pro shared his secret to staying happily married to the game is it tough to play in a tournament where you're the reigning champion it's like any other tournament all I'm trying to do ever in poker is play each an the best of my ability so but it was a little exciting though because I was like back-to-back would be sick that would be sick you definitely do not seem like the typical poker player you know like what the stereotype no not at all I have like so many other interests that I'm pursuing I've been learning all kind of languages give me a taste what hi Bob on that's how I found t my Japanese yeah I don't want said and I told said Nick that's off your sodium I need us marry your wife is a poker player it sounds like a recipe for disaster no it works out well we don't talk about poker that much if we're interested in other things and that's all we do it's great because we understand the highs and lows sometimes you get a little edgy when you're losing we understand that so what's cool works out is it possible to be a professional poker player and not go broke it's very unlikely because most everyone I know they've been playing for five ten years they've gone broke at least once many people multiple times it's a lot harder than people think so is that your secret just playing a little bit lower than you can you think you should my wife has definitely settled me down I used to play anyone whether they're Phil Ivey or Doyle Brunson or the late chick Reese I felt like I was the best in the world then I wanted to challenge everyone I felt like I could beat anyone but it's not about that it's not about that it's about just having a good life you know I'm not like trying to get super rich anymore you know it's a good feeling to not have that desire that's our friend frylock Freeman our token poker hippy I used to play poker with him when his name was John well there you see our leaders 62 year old Tommy Lee out in front 13.5 million but the Canadian Kyle Wilson right on his heels he's gonna raise with just King five of diamonds makes it 70,000 ago Andy Frankenberger is gonna make the call with the king seven of Hearts King seven versus King five here's the flop Queen Jack five action on Frankenberger he's checking Kyle has bottom pair here he's also checking all right turn card coming up he said diamonds comes off Andy now with an ace-high straight draw I need to tend for a straight it's gonna lead out and bet here 60,000 but Wilson with a flush draw and a straight draw it's gonna put in a raise makes it 300,000 ago that's a nice bet by Kyle Wilson here because opponent had a pair of Queens or a weak ace he could well throw it away here Andy Frankenberger with an amateur player but his solid ones gonna fold the hand nicely now Wilson taking down that pot he said whatever money he wins he's just gonna use it to gamble bigger that's the spirit all right action on frankenburger from New York City he's gonna fold this one Tom broadband he's got a Jack nine here ironically what Tom said he's gonna do with his money is invested in real estate so the former baseball player on the short stack now but Vince look at this gonna raise it up front as we say he's a gambler in early position with just Jack nine makes it 75 thousand ago so daring play here to do it goes out Kyle Wilson not gonna play Tommy Lee ejects and now it's on the restaurant owner Franco brunetti as an Italian restaurant in Hollywood right by here at the big blind here but a pretty nice and age ten of Hearts he's gonna make the call here so here comes the flop it's come seven six three with two spades no help to either player Franco quickly checks but I'm gonna continue with the larceny here gonna make the continuation bet with nothing yep looks like eighty thousand now brunetti well this is surprising he's going to stick around he's called it there's cold must think as a stands the best hand here which indeed it is oh he gets the 10 there on the turn pair of tens this cars gonna give him a lot more confidence here you think he's not gonna check in anymore in cases opponents got something like King Queen he's gonna lead right out and better hunter than 55-thousand long what is going on prompt and going all-in and a quick haul by brunetti well a former baseball player about to strike out here he's gonna need an aid for a straight or a jack to win this pot to stay alive he just thought he could muscle out oh boy the restaurant man the baseball player down about four runs in the bottom of the ninth and it's oh one two on him can the baseball forget look how fast he jumped up I guarantee never into first base that fast and wide oh man that's like taking the spaghetti and pulling right in the restaurant guy's face unbelievable what a card and awful for Franco Brunetti that's one spicy meatball for six players remain here on the WPT we're coming back for more stay with us [Music] we are back in Los Angeles where just before the break Tom Brown hit lightning on the river to double up through Franco fornetti one player who knows tighten Tom's play better than most is Tony Dunst who as always gives it to a straight in this raw deal brought to you by Rhys I'm Tony Dunst also known as bonny teen online let me begin by saying that Tom Robin and I have played together online and I've got serious respect for his game he's aggressive balanced and very experienced but unfortunately all his talent wasn't evidence in this hand against Franco I think possibly out of frustration with being the short stack time Tom made the mistake of trying to outplay and bully the more amateur player choosing the wrong time to get on a line can result in a weaker player turning you into a reckless player let's break it down Tom begins the hand by raising Jack Dino on the hijack with 21 big blinds which is marginal to begin with though not a bad idea considering he's raising into the least experienced player on the table he makes a standard continuation bet on the flop and Franco calls with his over cards it's Tom's turn play that I have a really big problem with and here's why the 10 on the turn doesn't really provide much in the way of a scare card for Tom to represent and the board now contains enough draw possibilities that it's not crazy to think a less experienced player may bet out with a stronger hand afraid of that potential river suck out when Franco bets out he's doing so for a third of Tom's Romanian stack leaving Tom little fold equity on his shove Alice Franco really is holding nothing no when Tom moves in he's laying Franco an excellent price getting about three to one Mike often I think that in a more level-headed moment Tom likely wouldn't shove this turn I feel a good deal of his motivation comes from having someone he knows is a weaker player than him trying to bet him out of a pot right after he picked up dry equity and the frustration that comes from not having things go your way at the crucial time despite his mistake Lady Luck visited Tom on the river but she wasn't the only woman on his side during the hand and if his girlfriend's hilariously lied over-the-top reaction is an indication I can assure you that his neighbors already believe that tithing tom is quite the tiger we are back in the action where Franco Brunetti is all in and at risk let's get down to my convinced well he lost that last fight on a horrible beat on the river now it's shortstack Franco Burnett eats all in here with King high against the eight high of Kyle Wilson who looked him up now Kyle's gonna have to get lucky to eliminate him and see if he can do it oh he did he's out flopped him Kyle Wilson front with a two sixes for Franco to stay alive in this tournament is gonna have to catch a king or two runners to make a straight or flush the tile rail Birds rooting their man on turn card coming up the nine comes off so we're off to the river here Franco brunetti must catch a king on the river otherwise he's gonna be out in six place well it's a queen of diamonds it's not gonna do it for you but Eddie got this tournament to a satellite a real gentleman tough beats here tonight well Vince as Franco Brunetti walks out the sixth place this is also a good time to tell everyone about the World Poker Tour's Club wapt.com Oh Mike I'm not just saying this but I love club WPT calm it is amazing for only 1995 a month anybody can play you play in tournaments you can win prizes you can win cash I mean it is incredible it is the best deal in poker folks if you like playing poker give Club WPT a try guarantee you're gonna love it okay let's get back to the table all right action goes that Kyle Wilson Canadians a lot of momentum with a king deuce and the button is gonna race Tom Lee out frankenburger though with a queen jack is going to play here's the flop Oh a nice flop Brandi's his laptop here comes jack six five yeah and he's first to act you gonna lead right out in bat Vince 100,000 Kyle always suspicious as to why a guy would lead out into a preflop raiser and wondering if he can make a raise here if you'll just take the pot away from this guy well he's got nothing he'd have to be doing with a lot of heart and he's gonna try it he's made it three hundred twenty five thousand well I call and frankenburger not going anywhere he has made this call those are not the words kind of one two here now the board pair of sixes so neither player crazy about that card fearful that their opponent might have a six in their hand Frankenberger with top here still though 300 he's got a bed 300,000 not a big bed into a pot that's got nearly 900,000 minute I don't forget any frankenburger came into this tournament as the chip leader he's been whittled away punched around he needs his pot badly hit that six Andy hmm it was six how much fine no I'm just wondering what you have oh she's like you : o slot turn little confusion there I was wondering if he can raise one more time what he win this pot chances are he might but what to do now if you're Kyle Wilson he took a stab at it we raised on the flop that didn't work will he try it again gonna fold he's gonna lay it down so Andy Frankenberger taking down that pot you never think nidian to quote my friend over there would you like me to lie you don't have to I'd like to hear the lie find out how well he does it he's tough this Andy's a former equity derivatives trader I have no idea what that could possibly be but we will move on and now it's Tom Lee who's been taking a sabbatical lately playing very tight he folds his hand over to Andy he's out as well under the 25 year old from Huntington Beach California Tom Rob and she's got the four five of diamonds the suti connectors it's kind of like in one pot a minute ago Tom's a sneaky player I used to play a lot of different hands very creative player at this time proving that again it's got a raised to a hundred thousand now mr. Brooklyn Jared Jaffee Jared's got a decent queen jack here he's considering this former collegiate baseball player raises it with the 5-4 but remember Vince these other players saw him try to steal a pot a minute ago with a Jack 9 offsuit they know the jig is up for this guy stealing all these pots and here it's gonna make the call with the Queen Jack Kyle Wilson with just nine seven also gonna make the call three-way action feels like he's getting priced in so 60% of the field playing this pot going to the flop who will be lucky all three players have flopped a pair jarred his flop top pair he's gonna check he up Kyle's flop middle pair he also checks and now a continuation bet nope Rob bad also checking to the turn we go oh and a 7 comes off on how many times a night at this table we've seen the slot machine come up three sevens for the Canadian how he's been checked in to know how to play three of the kind what a cart for him and he's gonna bet right out with a mint yeah it looks like 200,000 Tom saying to himself hmm this guy really got something we're just making a stab at this pot cuz we didn't bet on the flop tom is gonna give a little something here too with just a pair of fours 200 grand and he's gonna make the call and now Jared's got a tough decision remember nobody bet the flop now all of a sudden it's been bent and cold on the turn I think you get away from this and even if he got the best hand here all he's gonna do the opposite he shoved well Jared he is shoved his stack in over the top now Kyle's thinking to himself okay do i rear aces guy behind me how to play this properly what are you thinking about is does this guy have me beat well you can't lay down three sevens though not with a small stack like this you still got a man behind you remember that call but Carl is gonna make the call and top broadband goes away that's ever what a disaster here for the two day lawyer well the two day lawyers got two outs here must catch a jack on the river to win this power otherwise he's gonna be out in fifth place and it would be case closed for the lawyer Kyle as you can see not jumping for joy until that river card hits the board all you gotta do is dodge it jack to win this pot it comes the river went to king [Applause] so that's gonna do it for the two-day lawyer Jared Jaffee out tonight in fifth place a big effort to jerec disappointing but he is going to take home 86,000 and just like that we have four players remaining at the ledges of poker well it wasn't in the cards this evening for two-time final table its Jared Jaffee tonight's fifth place finisher but things seem to be falling into place for Kyle Wilson join us again for WPTZ encourage of the legends of poker at the bicycle casino until then for Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten in Los Angeles I'm Kimberly Lansing thanks for watching see you next time right here on the WPT playbook go now what do you have betting so big they see your cards please show me bluffing 101 well we've got the race situation here between the two young guns at the table come the beautiful Royal Flush girls this is why everyone plays cards everybody on their feet here's a book come on come on we are down to the river [Music] the World Poker Tour is brought to you by club wapt.com never lose a dime playing poker guaranteed
