what's up hey you come here often yeah i do oh that's really cool it's almost like a pickup line that wasn't for you it's for those lovely ladies here yeah anyway yeah we wanted to talk about something today and it's something that you're very well versed in scams skips right yeah it's just the paranoia that we get and people get when being approached in the street in a in a third world country of course right and there's a lot of reason to be paranoid oh yeah look i mean we've had a lot of good experiences here but at the same time it's because we have a lot of experience with this kind of thing and usually if you're in a developing country and someone approaches you speaking english it's a lead up to a scam it is i'd say a good 70 of the time right right a lot of people speak english here yes they do which is crazy man there's a lot of stuff going on eh yeah what is this guy up to he's like playing the urhu live live or who look at that so today we're going to talk a little bit yeah about um you know the things you actually have to look out for versus the things that are completely innocuous right correct all right stay awesome cheers [Music] [Applause] [Music] i've got a lot of videos about scams in china and so far i have noticed potential scams all over the place here right small time stuff you've got the black taxi type stuff right right the the motorcycle taxi stuff i'd stay away from that sure because they've got official ones here like grab yeah right but so far you know during the whole performance by the way i was very aware of my pockets yeah but uh he didn't try to charge us for this nope i mean he was yeah i mean it seems pretty wholesome dude yeah i know he was filming it for his own youtube channel which is cool i'm very happy to help youtube channels come out of china no no you don't so i think that's pretty pretty nice really really nice um and yeah a couple of other times we've been approached by people i've been very much on guard but it's turned out to be innocent sure one thing i will say is though you and i being guys walking around especially we got a couple of beers we've been approached by pimps a lot and uh i would 100 say that if i just feel like you've got to be really dumb for that well i mean that that's the problem you know people get these guys are really good by the way yeah holy crap wow um you do get a lot of people who come to uh countries like vietnam and southeast asia looking for that kind of thing right and then when they fall afoul of bad scams they sort of cry cry to everyone saying like oh so dangerous you know but yeah what on earth [Music] uh sorry i wanted to finish it off if we can get past this uh whatever it is what is this sport by the way we have to film this what happy sec it's like kicking a shuttle really far it's just hacky sack dude no pecky sack is like you stand around a circle you do tricks vietnamese yeah it's like long distance yeah long distance hacky sack anyway sorry you know you do get guys who will come over and try to get into the dodgy stuff and then of course they get scammed or they get burned or stuff stolen and then they'll go and back to the world and cry about how you know dangerous places like vietnam are right my advice is uh don't mess with the dodgy illegal stuff and you won't get burned no it's inviting yourself to that kind of stuff yeah absolutely stay wholesome please i know that's boring to say yeah that's just from us anyway yeah no don't do that well if you do do that well then just if something bad happens to you just suck it up right just suck it up when you stop talking yeah yeah you're just like oh well yeah bar stories or something yeah exactly yeah do whatever you want that's a real reason do whatever you want just don't complain about it on the internet it's pretty you're exposing yourself yeah but yeah so always keep your guard up but unless there's some kind of microchip tracker in this coin so you can come rob our hotel later i think he's totally legit absolutely question have you seen a lot of those uh women carrying fruit yes yes and they keep saying hello fruit fruit yeah sure now of course you don't have to worry about your safety in that situation no but why would you avoid buying fruit from these women what was your gut instinct when you saw these women oh they're just gonna overcharge you right and exorbitantly yeah yeah so instead of paying you know probably about 30 cents which it should cost here for a little piece of pineapple yeah you're gonna end up paying about twenty or thirty dollars sure which is ridiculous right yeah that's not a dangerous scam but immediately when we saw them we knew what was going on turns out talking to the people here that's actually what happened absolutely and i mean the other day i'm just filming in general one of them caught that i had a camera right she ran over to me with like lightning speed trying to charge me for photos you know right and saying like here's money she was like here take a photo with my my stick of fruits whatever come on you know the second thing that we've noticed i think you've noticed this is getting approached by men on motorbikes so basically these keep me in the conversation yeah sure basically people will roll up on these bikes and they don't have branding on the motorcycles or anything like that basically what happens is they ask you if you want certain things celeste oh smoka smoke which means weed right marijuana um get high get high that means you want some drugs cool then you also have some other words that i won't say here because everyone will understand but they're asking you if you would like to find sexual services and i know exactly what happens when this actually happens because i actually have a story which i will do on my own channel about how i got out of those motorcycles just as a taxi right and ended up leading me to a very very bad place and a lot of bad things happen but anyway the motorcycle scams are super common here sure very very common yeah don't get on a random motorcycle with a random dude right this doesn't make sense and remember motorcycle taxis as mentioned before they have official ones here called grab and that's fairly recent yeah but you can just avoid scams you know sure so there's anything you'd like to tell our subscribers before we sign off whether you are a cool badass magician on the street that doesn't expect anything in return except for a bunch of subscribers or you are a dude that's just hanging out watching our videos and experiencing the adventure through us we hope that you've learned something today yeah and your gut is usually right sure right i don't think a lot of people get scammed without having a little bit of nervousness or a little bit of weird feeling yeah yeah and you've said that a lot absolutely just follow your gut follow your gut anyway if you do if you did like it
