world's fastest yaught the gentry eagle

okay this is where the gentry eagle used to be harbored at and it's no longer here so we'll take a little brief tour hi there hi are you admiring the uh gentry eagle at least where it used to be at yes i am what happened to that boat i understand it was one of the fastest shots ever it held a record for a short period of time yeah and uh it looks like they've dry docked it and then we just were told that they're going to crush it oh no kidding where can we find uh pictures of it well i'm not sure but we can find it over here because it's die docked over here okay let's go ahead and follow you all right so are you from the ventura county area no i'm from kansas oh you're from kansas wow that's great big touches really okay well yeah so do you guys have any type of bodies of water out in kansas in the middle of our country um ellsworth lake okay no no lake annapolis i understand that they've got uh houses or homes the mushroom rock and some pretty ginormous waves out there something like 10 feet for a for a cold body watered lake that seems to be pretty high i'm sorry where is it it's right over here okay let me take a quick look we're going over here and oh my god is this it right here that's it that's the back end of it this is the back end of it okay this is fascinating god that's oh really okay is it something like big for forgiveness or something like that oh absolutely okay so it looks like it's got it's a single prop of god is that what i'm looking at that's what you're looking at okay pretty small for such a big boat i think what are those two things to the left and right of that that's where the water comes through the water comes through it comes in over here okay what is that look at that okay so and this thing seems to have some kind of gearing to possibly use that as a steering mechanism i'm not quite sure it's being held up by pallets yes it is okay so this is that it still has their moniker on it this is the gentry fantastic okay yes and you can see where the water comes in and then it goes out to the other side oh my goodness this is uh quite exciting this is kind of my the caterpillar drive on the red october what does it show inside here let me say okay wow look at that isn't that phenomenal this is all unibody construction oh i don't know what i'm talking about but okay that's been held up by pallets i'm gonna go ahead get out from underneath this thing before anything gives way yeah that might be a good idea okay you don't want to get toppled by this i'm not sure what that is there okay i probably lets out some water or steam or something how about the front of this thing so can you tell me a little bit more about this oh it's very uh aerodynamic yeah as you can see it looks like uh because of the aerodynamics maybe that's why it was the fastest uh for really i hope it finds a nice home over at the smithsonian museum because i think that's where this part of history really belongs fantastic how many people do you think this banned at one time i don't know except that i think it's a really cool yacht can we take a look at the front of it sure but we probably have to go to the outside to get a good look at the front okay there's so much stuff over there can we walk over just a little bit over there see if we can kind of peekaboo around the thing and i can't even get the size of this yacht into uh the field of view on this camera let me see if i can do it some justice and zoom on oh look at that there you go i think i got something going on all righty oops zoom in and out here and then i will follow you coming around here and then look at that that's fantastic wow that looks so space age i could see maybe they can make a gofundme page and go ahead raise enough money to restore it to its glory okay well any parting thoughts on this uh magnificent fantastic well it's a shame that that they're they're saying it's gonna get crushed too bad um it's a magnificent looking boat and well yacht actually um but there's not a lot you can do except maybe post this video and maybe somebody will fall in love with it and buy it yay we are in the ventura california harbor thank you bye bye
