in these two boxes we have the world's biggest rc car and we're gonna fit the biggest and most powerful engine that we can find and that is a taylor rc 80cc engine check it out so we're gonna unbox it we're gonna put it together as soon as the postman turns up we're gonna fit the engine the postman should be here in the next couple of hours and then we're gonna take it out for a run and see how good it is also we got some other upgrades we've got a rear steering axle check out the size of it this is a traxxas slash and this is the actual for the raminator we've got long wheelbase conversion kit alloy body post the world's most powerful servos 130 kilos we also have a brushless conversion kit that is going to go into that laminator this one here is the version two the new one is the version three and this one here is the mud truck version so there's a video on this also on this channel oh it's christmas every day here we've got the front axle this one's a rear axle but we don't need it because we've got another front axle that we're putting on the back check out the size of these tyres guys [Music] whoops i still can't get over the size of these guys here we have my head here we have raminator tire look at it footage size she got disc brake assembly and caliper so the new version of three does come with 100 kg servos are we gonna put in the primal one 30 kilo servos check it out guys that is just a work of art all metal gear all metal case same as the axles guys fully metal gears fully metal construction in the rear axle box we have the shock absorbers and these are a lot bigger than the ones on the version two they got a much thicker shock shaft and also a much bigger body the version two ones i used to bend a little bit sometimes i used to bottom out inside the body and also the shaft was thinner these ones here bottom out on the bottom and a bigger shaft sway bars optional gearing so you can gear it down for torque we can gear it up for speed i have absolutely no idea what this is if you know guys let me know in the comments and the rear axle which i don't need oh and more shocks so the only part we need from the rear axle is the rear bumper and we're going to put that onto this axle i'm going to use lock tight on everything because when these things vibrate it makes all the screws come loose milwaukee tough baby so you can actually get a rear steer conversion kit to convert your rear axle they didn't have any in stock so i thought i'll just buy a complete axle and then this one here can be spare it's all the same it's just the ends that are different the only thing that you've got to do the front and rear axles they got the diff in the other way around so if put in the front axle on the rear you need to open it up take your diff out flip it around back together and boom put it on your truck next we have the big boy oh look at that guys check out that beautiful black body and i've got an idea so this classic body here will fit onto that one and i'm guessing at some point you're gonna be able to get that body in clear now the real monster truck that's gonna go red and check it out guys it's got a similar body so we're gonna put one of those bodies on there paint it red and have it as a replica of the real truck now this truck is only on its transport wheels once it's all finished it's going to go on these big wheels here if you're new to this channel we are attempting to build the world's best monster truck you've got custom-made patrick housings to make this truck a little bit wider than a normal monster truck we have a crd chassis which is the same that most of the monster jam trucks use we have a big block chevy v8 alcohol injected supercharged v8 also the same engine that they use in monster jam then we've got this great big bkt 66 inch tyres on bead lock wheels i'm hoping to get that truck done very soon we're just waiting on a few nuts and bolts we can get the transmission in and then we get the engine fired up yes oh look we have more tires another tire and stickers so here we can see the engine stainless steel pipe fuel tank a new battery tray on the back the older one on the version one and twos was more open we have black side frames instead of the red ones on that one so next let's get the axles the shocks and the wheels on so first upgrade we have the long wheelbase conversion kit this is a bag full of four link bars it replaces these and different sway bars and a different cable for the front brakes so these new lengths are an inch longer than the standard ones and that's going to give it two inches overall longer wheelbase because this one's going to get the big engine when the postman hoe is up we need the longer wheelbase to keep the wheels down on the floor otherwise it's just going to wheel it everywhere then we get the longer one [Music] now i've gotta do the same on all the other ones i'm not gonna bother filming it there we go longer links on shorter links off nexus the axles next we have the shocks next we've got to put in the sway bars that come with the long wheelbase kit and then we can see the new one is longer next we have to put on the drive shaft the brake disc right caliper next we have to fit the sway bar links so what the sway bar does it stops the axle from swaying around so we'll get the other side on and then you'll see how much more solid it makes it now look floppiness gone so next we gotta get the front axle on but first we gotta swap over and put on these brand new servos [Music] man these are on there tight [Music] oh guys just check out these bad boys so next we go get the center point of the servo now i'm going to ditch the radio that the ramonator comes with and i'm going to use his spectrum dx5 reason being is we have to front steering here and the rear steer on a toggle switch here people always tell me in the comments they always say kev you can do it so when you steer it does the front and the rear steering at the same time i know you can do that but i don't want to do it like that end of the day this is a hobby and you gotta do it however makes you the most happiest and having a separate toggle switch makes me the most happiest so that's how i'm gonna do it but if you like it all in one then that's absolutely how you should do it for the real monster truck we have the front steering here and the rear steer on a separate toggle switch here if you do it that way it's a lot more realistic people always say ah if you do it a switch like that it's not proportional the rear steer on that is also not proportional end of the day as a hobby do whichever way makes you happy so controller on they've got this wire lead here plugged into the receiver we plug the servos into that make sure your steering trim is in the middle i'm just temporarily just going to plug this battery into it so now with both of these servo centered we can go ahead and fit the servo arms first we've got fit this little collar thing here and you want to do it so that you get these holes as level as possible at the top and the same on that side make sure the bearing is in there then we get the center screws in then before we tighten it we want to make sure that we've got the steering bang on in the middle you can see that by looking here then we can get the rest of these screws in around the outside and just double check that everything is perfectly straight and square and then nip them all up and then bumper back on and now we can fit it onto the truck exactly the same as the rear axle [Music] so we still got to get the brake cables on but i'm not going to bother filming it because it's fiddly and i filmed it on that one we've got to swap over the receiver and one up the rear steer but before that i just want to get the body on and see what it's going to look like oh check it out guys man i reckon that looks epic with that longer wheelbase it's a standard wheelbase and those extra two electrics and the brake lines in and then i'll get you back on and hopefully in a minute the engine's gonna come and then we're gonna put that in and then we're gonna take out for a rip yes guys check out that suspension travel we got a wheel up on a chair and all four wheels are still touching the ground this thing is such a beast oh postman hopefully that's the engine this could be it guys this could be the engine please please please oh it's christmas every day oh oh look at that that must be the converter plate so we can mount each filter yes this is the engine guys this is the engine oh downloads so you can download and print the engine running instructions and also this is where you can get the engines from i'm going to put a link to taylor rc down below and if you want to know where i got the truck from and the servos and the other upgrades i got them directly from primal rc i'm gonna put a link to that down below now careful guys you might see these advertised online for cheap and it's gonna be a scam so there's actually four places that you can get this truck from officially that is from primal rc directly powerful model in hong kong taylor rc in the uk and australia baja spares in australia if you see one of these trucks advertised elsewhere and sometimes i'll use my videos to try and sell the scam uh then it's more than likely gonna be a scam get it direct or from one of the dealers and then you're gonna get your truck and not some well nothing so here's a few other bits and bobs that come with the engine to help install it so let's stop waffling and get it fitted oh just check out that machining guys i really hope that's coming out on camera now these engines are fully bespoke made they are not an off-the-shelf engine it's been modified these are specifically made to be what they are look at all the crankcases cnc machines got his own cylinder casting cnc cylinder head so next we gotta get the engine out of that i think we've got to take all these screws out around here and then we've got to take this side plate here off and then the engine should hopefully come out [Music] so the loctite is too tight so we heat it up and it should come off [Music] check it out here you can see all the chain drive in there i'm not really fully sure how it all comes apart i'm just taking out nuts and bolts and hopefully it's going to fall out are you free are you free i'm still holding it in [Music] we're getting loose but it's kind of wet in there now come on [Music] you can take the engine out without taking the whole transmission out oh yes we're loose we're loose come on out you come come on out man what's going on here come off so there i think it's going to be easier just take out the whole transmission there's only a bolt there and a bolt there to hold the drive shaft on the thing is guys when you've taken something apart before it's quite easy but you've never done it before and you're doing it for the first time then well you don't know what you're doing dear why is it battling me come on gotta come out now surely come out what is holding this thing in oh damn you now this bit has got to come off of here somehow surely it must come off now surely come on really come on all right go get this bit off i think i'm gonna have no idea how this will go back together again ah yes guys i shouldn't get too excited because we're still gonna put it back together again next we gotta get this thing out of here and i think we might have jumped the gun a little bit here which by the looks of it you gotta put this thingy on first [Music] so that bit has to go on there but to get it on we're going to take this off again is that how it goes clutch bell that one maybe [Music] oh my god guys this is the original clutch and this is the new bigger clutch from the taylor engine check out that size difference stock engine and clutch tailor engine and clutch man this thing is a work of art so next i think we've got to get this plate off of here then i want to change the gear ratio inside the gearbox so with the laminator you get different gearing options because this new engine has got so much more horsepower we want to gear it up so we get more top speed i'm guessing that these go in here but i don't know we'll take it off in a minute but first let's get this off let me have a look in here change the gears get the transmission back in and then we're going to try and get that engine in so in here we have a little circlip and of course it doesn't want to come off there we go there we go we got it we got it we got it so next we've got our duggar these out [Music] in that side let me go get your circlip back on there again and next let's change the gears in the transmission so these gears here are going to make you go a little bit faster these ones here are going to make it go a lot faster i've seen a couple of videos with people having these installed and it looks too fast these tires are all ballooning up it's all skating all over the place so we might try that in a different video but for now we're just going to go one up and also you can put this in in reverse and it's going to gear it down if you want to go crawling but we want to go faster we're going to go with these ones 27 and a 23. oh no this will fall into bits that one's there smaller one wants to go on the prop shaft one if i've done it the wrong way around it's going to be slower next i'm going to bolt the engine onto the transmission outside of the truck i don't know if that's the way i'm supposed to do it but that's the way that i'm going to do it but now i think we should be able to drop it in maybe still got all this cable attached to it so that's maybe gonna make it difficult i don't know oh no guys look at that it's coming in this is too easy now oh look at that guys that's gonna have some power now we're gonna take some of these parts from this carburetor off and put them into that one i should have really done it with it on the bench but now i've got to do it on the truck i have no idea what we're doing here i'm just making it up as we go along so i think this piece here has to come off and go on to here and we also need something to hold the cable and i don't know how okay yep i think it goes like that most likely maybe maybe not i don't know ah and this thing here is held on with an e-clip oh man this would have been a million times easier with the engine out right i'm not even gonna bother filming it guys because you're not gonna be able to see it or you can see his arm i'll show you when it's on there there we go just got that bit mounted onto there look i've got this bracket on there but the angle looks funny if the cable has to go from here to here and there's a bit of a funny angle ah this might work and now ah look at that that looks perfect how i'll get it back on when it's on there's absolutely no point me trying to film x and i've got my wanking spanners in there that's all you can see just me doing that pointless filming it boom got it on there guys seriously do that before you put the engine in it is so difficult trying to get all your fingers in there do it up do it before you put the engine in i'm warning you otherwise you're going to be swearing next we have to fit some more engine mounts so we've got this engine mount on we've got another engine mount is this i have no idea and i have no idea where it's supposed to go so we still got to figure that out i think next we can get this side plate back on and start getting it all back together again ah silly me if you go onto the taylor rc website for the atcc big4 engine there's some pictures and when you actually click through the pictures you can see how it goes so here we can see that little block is mounted there and then we got a cross place there can you see that cross brace going across here and here's that little bracket and also it shows how the linkage goes lucky we figured it out so on the old engine here's the cross brace so we gotta get that in between there and then we can fit this piece so we've got to take this bit off of the old engine get it fitted onto the new engine and then fit this bit here now we gotta get this into there and that nut that i put on there shouldn't be on there it is in fact supposed to thread into this sometimes it's best to look at the instructions and pictures first to save you having to do everything twice and now we gotta try and get this piece in hopefully we can get it in with the engine already in and it looks like we can so next i gotta somehow get this screw see that bracket there what i'm wobbling has got a screw hole in it and i've got to get a screw into there and screw it up to the other bit and i can barely see it and i cannot get my fingers in there for the life of me so i'm going to struggle away and do it off camera because there's no way i can film and get it on and i'll show you after when it's on come on we might just not bother putting that screw in i'll get to it get it in guys no way i'm getting that on there there's no way no way no way no no way but it has got a big hole here so i think we're gonna put a long nut and bolt through this bit at least we can do it up then after a cup of tea and the anger gone we have a second attempt guys this is one of the hardest benching videos i've ever filmed it's almost impossible getting that camera in there it's almost impossible for me to see what i'm doing yes we've got it on we can get it in we can put a nut and a bowl through here so we might as well why not why not make it stronger we're going to bash this thing you can actually cut this piece of the chassis here out to make it a little bit easier to work on but i want to keep it as strong as possible because we're planning on bashing it we want to send it to the moon we need every little bit of strength that we can get so we probably could do with a countersink scrub i haven't got one so we're just going to shove this in there screws way too long but whatever ah jesus [Music] oh what happened so now my thumb glued back on we can get back to work all right please fit now please go in please please i'm begging you blood sweat and tears let's go enos [Music] right we're in guys there's gotta be a better way of putting that on i must have gone about it completely backwards i've never battled so hard on anything in my whole life there's there's gotta be an easier way it was actually 10 times easier to get that engine into there and less blood i think if i was to do this again i would bolt the whole transmission in first bolt this cross brace across with that bracket already on it with it all tightened up and then get the engine in afterwards and put those screws in on after i reckon then it's going to go in pretty easy when you're doing something for the first time then it's always a lot more difficult once you've done it a couple of times it gets easy someone once said it's good to learn from your mistakes but it's even smarter to learn from somebody else's mistakes come on please go in come on go in guys i don't know why today everything is battling me like everything is against me it's nothing right that's it i'm done i'm going to carry on tomorrow actually can't wait tomorrow had a cup of tea the wager's gone so now we can crack back on so next we gotta get all this lock back into here a little sprocket on next we gotta get these e-clips back on i'm not sure if you actually need them or not because the cover does hold it all on but they came off there so i suppose we better put them back on next we can get this cover back on next we can hook up the fuel lines on this engine we pull off the return line we don't need it at all we can either block off the hole or it's a good idea to put put one of these little motocross little breather pipe thingamajigs on there because this has got a little breather inside the cap but if that blocks then you can get like a vacuum in there the engine's not going to get fuel and it's not going to run right that's what happened on that red one over there so by putting something like that in there that should make it we'll give it a better chance to run nice and the yellow pipe the feed pipe goes on to this part of the carburetor here and as usual i cannot get my fingers in but we'll get it on there somehow boom there we go got it on there so next the stock body mounts have got a habit of breaking off so we've got this primal rc metal one oh guys check out the quality of these parts i've just hooked up the throttle cable so that's ready to go so next it's time for the exhaust look at the quality of all this machining guys so we've got the manifold and we've got a couple of o-rings and i'm guessing they sit inside these little ridges in there [Music] so next we've got to sort out all this cabling and wires and plug it all back to where it was before tidy all up a little bit i've got a kill switch from taylor rc uh that is suited to go with that engine so we've got to wire that up make sure that all our football flows and the brake linkages are all set up i'm going to do all that lot off off camera because i'm not very good with wiring it's probably going to take me like a whole day to sort it all out i don't want to get the camera underway and i certainly don't want to bore you guys off watching me not knowing what i'm doing so we're going to put you back on when it's ready to go with all the wiring cable tied along here i've routed it on the inside of the chassis all along there i've not bothered putting any cable on any covering because i want it to be easy to get to when you want to work on it like that you can easily work on it when it's all covered up it looks neat and it does protect it but it makes it more difficult when you want to work at it we've got the rear steer all tied it up and then we've got it all going into this battery box we've got the engine kill switch in there so we hit that button there and that kills the engine also if the radio wants to turn itself off then that should also kill the engine boom light off engine off light on ready to start front steer lovely man those servos have got some power here's the wrist here i've slowed it down actually so when we go into the settings here we go to speed and aux free that is to rest here i'll put it to twenty percent otherwise if you have to read steer too fast as soon as you're driving along when you hit the rear stay it's gonna snap and handle next we gotta do a little bit of work on the body so to clear this new pipe we have to remove the cab and also i've got all his aluminium mount to go into the body [Music] we've got to take this bar here out to clear the exhaust and to get that out we need to take the rest of the bed off we've got these little washer things here that sit onto the chassis here trouble is they fall off so i'll just get a little bit of super glue and glue them on [Music] here we go moment of truth how's it going oh my god guys check it out how good does that look the body fits over the top perfectly look at that pipe in there guys that is fitting in there absolutely perfectly i know we got the interior removed but personally i would much rather see that than that guys this whole truck is an absolute work of art it makes me not even want to use it but it's set to be used and we're going to send it to the moon and i can't wait but first we've got to run it in i've got all the instructions here of how to look after the engine these engines are quite expensive so we've got to look after it these things here these are cheap that's why i never really bothered running in i'll just beast on them but this one we're going to look after so quick montage i want to have some photos and video of it while it's still looking beautiful then we're going to run it in and then we're going to take it out for proper whip [Music] so guys this monster truck is super realistic so just on a real monster truck we got solid live axles with a diff in the middle here's a real monster truck that we're building these are the big tyres that are going to go on it these are just for transport so there we got the solid axles center diff it's got pinion disc brakes on the axle there's a disc there's the caliper and then we go over to the real monster truck and there we go look it's the same we've got a disc up on top there we got the caliper there we've got a safety cage on there because that's in case that driveshaft breaks is to protect the audience there's a transfer case here's the transfer case on the raminator man what an absolute beast one thing i've noticed though is i forgot to put the air filter on so we've got to quickly put that on before we run it but i've just noticed a problem the carburetor is really close to the tank and we could run it like that if we didn't use a filter but i'm not going to risk killing that engine so we've got to get the filter on there and but to get it to go on i think we're going to have to raise up the tank we can actually raise up the tank a little bit so i'm going to make some extended spaces to put underneath there bolt it back on again and then we can get the air filter on and then we can rip it yes we've actually got to put oil on this so i'm going to do that in a minute uh get that filter on there like that and now we can work out how much we got to raise this tank by hopefully not too much and there we can see the gap that we have so we've got to make some posts the length for that screw it back in and boom so i think we gotta raise it by about 17 millimeters so remember this little piece here that we removed from the top if we cut 17 millimeters off of that that's gonna make a perfect spacer the two of these spaces we've got a drill out but i'm using my portable lathe [Music] look at that perfect boom look at that and that almost looks professional there we got the felt over there beautiful so now all we got to do get some airfield oil get some proper two-stroke oil i know a lot you guys are always giving me grief saying i'm using the wrong two-stroke oil for cheap engines i don't care for this engine we're gonna put the best stuff in it it's been a few days and our fluids have turned up so we've got a two-stroke oh apparently this here is one of the best and is what the engine manufacturer taylor recommends it's got his tetra booster does something gives it more octane and airfield to oil [Music] it is running day and vinnie is preparing something what are you doing mate put in your shell your old shell on a cage this is the original body that come off of that laminator it's already a bit slaughtered because that engine is going to do loads of wheelies probably it's going to get the back of the shelves you might as well keep this one as a shelf queen that's what people said in the comments on my second channel keep that shelf queen and keep that as a bachelor one the expert i would say expert so for every liter of petrol or gasoline for the americans we need 10 milliliters of this stuff here and 40 milliliters of this stuff there that's if we worked it out right that is rubbish that's going to leak now in it don't put too much in here oh my god oh no just kidding oh he's overfilled it oh no he's making a mess yeah i told you your jewelry cans rubbing well i'm taking that back oh whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa that leaks oh come on why is everything leaking it's not every single jerrycan legs this leaks can anyone leave a comment down below we need some fuel containers that don't leak the jerrycan legs these stupid thing legs everything leaks and then we're going to get to where we're going the whole android is going to be fumed out and we're gonna probably pass out wait what are we really how can everything lead we're outside now to stop the place from stinking 10 milliliters of that polita that looks beautiful is it you sure yeah there you go get that octade in there mate so nice body off old body off here we are on our first location we're going to see if it works and then i'm going to take it over to arc raceway and have a little whip around there but we're going to run this engine in properly so we're not going to bother filming the whole process we're just going to do it and then we'll a little bit oh look at it i'm coming down there yeah what a crap bottle we'll change the angle water oh we'll be stinking in there now oh man it's literally gone everywhere that's all you've done this morning oh that'll be all right all right so next radio on plug him in winnie play him in i've only got one hand so red light on means engine can start first we've got choke on is it don't accelerate i don't see the fuel go in oh [Music] [Applause] good we're not actually sure how we're supposed to do the show oh that's loud oh they're not gonna be happy they're gonna be angry over there oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] um [Music] [Applause] oh my god guys that exhaust is so loud it's not coming through on camera it's deafening [Music] [Applause] you have your boy that's so fast did it that was worth all the the power all of it we're happy but they're not they're not happy at all let's do it let's go [Applause] [Applause] [Music] here we are on location hold up we've got some crew over there hey you got a boss in the house get him going give that a little tug like do you schmeckle where'd he go first hole i don't know if you would take again or not got the engine tuning expert in the house alright [Music] [Music] [Applause] oh get ready [Music] oh [Music] [Music] [Music] it's still running in guys the engine's still running rich once we tune it up and it's fully running in this thing is going to get a lot lot faster uh-huh [Music] [Applause] oh my god guys that was so much fun it's probably the most fun that i've ever had with an rc car and we got cut short by this server i'm breaking off look in here those screws here on the servo arm they came loose and the trouble is when that happens yeah i'm doing it one-handed when that happens that servo's not really doing any work it's putting it all onto that one and then that coupled with my servo saver probably being set too tight that's what broke it off we've still got to put a couple of tanks for it to run it in properly then we can start tuning it this is just on the basic running in rich setting and once we start tuning that guys this thing is going to be so much faster and also i want to take it to a skate park and send it to the moon no idea what's going to happen but subscribe and smash the bell so you don't miss it and also all the parts for this monster truck should be here to finish it in the
