Working Mother of 3 Faces $100,000 Parking Violation

the town of lantana is finding me over a hundred thousand dollars for parking on my grass sandy martinez who lives in lantana florida owes her town over 165 thousand dollars in fines and fees that's approaching the value of her modest home but how did this happen so i live here my sister lives here she works she owns a car my son lives here he works he owns a car my daughter lives here she works and she owns a car with four different adults and four different hourly jobs owning four cars is a must but when they're all at home the driveway can get crowded and she has little choice but to use the driveway if i park over the sidewalk then we'll get a ticket we can't park on the street because obviously it's a roadway we can park in the swell but it's very dangerous so that leaves us no choice but to park in the driveway on my grass but even though the only way sandy's family can safely park is on her narrow driveway lantana cited her for that the city is finding me for parking on the little bit of grass that's in my driveway and also the walkway that's on my property when lantana cites a homeowner the city forces them to correct the violation then call and schedule another inspection after one violation sandy called the city but the inspector never came out fines started piling up at two hundred fifty dollars a day that's more than she makes in a full day of work i think it's ridiculous that they would find me over a hundred thousand dollars for parking on my own grass that i paid for this fine is on top of fines for two other trivial violations like having cracks in her driveway and a fence that fell over during a storm sandy can't realistically hope to ever pay the city what it demands and i don't have the money so i don't know how they expect me to pay them and do my driveway in fact sandy owes the city almost as much as her entire house is worth meaning that it will be almost impossible for her to sell the house or pass it down because she'll have to pay the city first this has been a source of stress in my life because i always wonder how am i going to pay this it's always on my mind how am i going to get it off am i ever going to be able to move out of here if i want to sell the house even if i don't want to sell it how can i leave it to my kids god forbid something happened to me you know it is a lot of stress government cannot lock you into a lifetime of debt and you financially simply because your driveway was a little too narrow to fit all of your cars the institute for justice is representing sandy and her case against lantana florida to ensure that no floridians will ever have to face abusive finds like these ever again you

Fines were $250 per day...i think thats more absurd to me than the accrued total.
