Lathe: i'm going for a walk, see ya later
I really feel like his lid was a giant waste of beautiful wood grain. Cool design but maybe for a different type of wood that doesn't already look astounding.
"SURPRISE ENDING!!!!" that's debatable.
Ahhhh sleeves and a watch ahhhhh
This... thing... hurts me to look at. While the craftsmanship was great, there are so many things - sleeves, a watch, turning too early (imo) - that bother me so much. Very dangerous, and the end result was disappointing.
????????? Wtf is that
What he didn't show you were the multiple trips to the grinder for sharpening. Locust is hard on tooling. Shits so tough you may as well try turning concrete. But it sands beautifully.
Amazing skill, beautiful result, especially the trypophobia bowl
My dad used to be a professional woodturner. Mildly dangerous though. He lost half a finger to the lathe once.
He did a lot of restoration work on historic homes, replacing missing bannisters on stairwells and such.
