Woodturning #20 Weed Vase Coloured Beech

hi in this video i am going to turn a simple project a small wheat waste from a beach and i'm going to color it with spirit stains i hope you will enjoy this video thank you for watching the video starts where i have rounded off the plank and i'm beginning to [Applause] define the shape i use a half inch spindle gouge together with a roughing outs to get closer to the chest [Music] [Applause] yes i use the half inch spindle gout to define the final shape before something [Music] i use a thin parting tool to define the height of the ways [Applause] and then continue with the spindle gouge to define the foot and the bottom half of the waist [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] to start the hollowing of the other ways and then continue with a 3 8 detail spindly belt one can hear from the sound of the cutting that there are some fine vibrations in the waist and uh could be uh argued that i should have turned this hollowing before i removed so much material from the outside i tried different tools and different methods to try to reduce the vibrations [Music] ended up by using a small [Music] ball gouts to [Music] hollow out or remove material that seemed to give the least vibrations i was so preoccupied by returning that i forgot that i was also filming so um part of the turning of the foot is not reported [Music] talking about multitasking or lack of i then sent the the piece to 240 before applying something sealer acrylic something sealer letting that dry for a few hours and started coloring covering my scroll check with an old towel that has seen better days i start by airbrushing with a yellow color all of the piece let that dry for a few moments and then added some more to add to the collar or make it deeper then spray it with a black collar on the foot and and the bottom of the of the base i used the red color between the black and the yellow several coats in that area to to strengthen the color and make it more pronounced i then applied the yorkshire grit milan box polish and then part it off the piece from the leg using a thin parting tool here is the finished item i hope you like this video still images coming up thank you for watching you
