foreign guys welcome back to our Channel bearded Lumber if you're new here thank you for taking the opportunity to watch our video we hope it'll be informative you'll learn something yeah for you guys then Washington thanks for coming back I would like to tell you we really appreciate the uh comments the questions uh anything you got on your mind dealing with wood Miser or wood just uh shoot me a comment we'll be glad to talk about it maybe I can help you I've been sawing with this this wood Miser for over nine years now so I have learned a few things I can help you through some year some of your trouble spots but uh currently on the morning this morning if you can see behind me we've got a 24 inch white pod we need a couple thousand board feet of one by tens one by twelves we're going to use them for uh roof decking on our new Kiln building we're in the process of building so let's get to it thanks for watching [Music] foreign [Music] with the Turning arm it also raised the front roller to level out the log on this Top Cut so let's get the flitch off there and see if we can't make or get slab off and see if we can't make a couple flitches foreign okay what I did there I noticed I had one too some reason it just it hit something and got kicked way up uh it wasn't cutting over the bottom of the part we'll see but we flipped the board over I'm sure there's a nasty cut line there where that one tooth was Jagged so the blade is uh new so we'll get a few more passes out of it we'll see how that affects the cut over the next piece [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] this lt35 granted it's 2014 and what they got is new is pretty similar this comes with their accuset simple set it only has two presets right now currently have it set for an inch and I can toggle over and it said for two inches but I can easily I can easily change that there's there's two and five eights but 1818 Sports what that allows is what I made when I was in the previous cut I went ahead and hit the on button that turns on the the simple set memory so now when I return back to this end make sure the blade is cleared along if you'll hit the down button it will drop that one 20 inch or whatever measurements you have preset and you go in you cut you come back do it again when you get done and you roll and you want to recalibrate it you just turn it off turn it back on in the next cut and it'll go from there wherever you want thank you like Mike's Mike another Fletcher too [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] foreign [Music] down to it's currently 13 by about 15 and a half what I'm gonna do I'm Gonna Roll it all the way over take one more pass off the bottom side make sure the long the camp is good and flat and then I'm going to stand it up it'll be 12 wide I'm gonna cut probably halfway down and flip it over and cut the other halfway down all 12 inch forwards and I did factor in about a half inch on the height so that I can take a clearing cut if needed slip it over and take one more we'll be down to 12. and everything that's laying over here on the left arms will have to be uh need to put back on the mill and Edge or run through the edge or make 12 inch forwards on it foreign [Applause] [Applause] foreign [Music] up at 13 inches and just run skim right across the top of the log to make sure that the law was perfectly flat and there wasn't any bobbles in it and it was good some people call it a wasted pass but I prefer that all my lumber be flat and true I'm going to do the same thing on this it's standing up 12 inches wide about 15 and three quarter I'm gonna take a quarter inch cut the clear that I'm gonna cut halfway through we'll roll it over and then I'll take that last half inch and put it back on the you know seven or eight inch Mark wherever wherever it ends up and we'll cut it all the way to the bottom it'll be all nice and flat 12-in Sports so hang on foreign [Music] foreign [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Music] foreign [Applause] foreign [Music] seven boards off of it already they're 12 four feet apiece somewhere there 70 64 something I got more feet I figured up at the end now since we just got this set up here we've rolled it over this is the last side that I had to do between the path they're going to take about uh five seven sixteenths to a half inch put it right on eight inches and we're gonna cut it right at the bottom some people will say nice beautiful boards to be used in our room most time I'd agree with you but I picked this longer particular because it has a defect and would preclude from solid wide Boards out of it to use for anything other than roof deck you hang on I'll show you in the middle of this long it's got some that's the wind Shake all the boards right through the middle there now what I'm going to use it for to be perfectly fine but if I was going to saw this at the customer lover I would have to orient the log a little bit differently and basically saw off that crack and throw it away I probably at the most I've got six maybe eight inch wide boards but this is acceptable for for our use hang on I'm gonna cut it to the bottom and we're going to end this video [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign foreign okay guys wearing a sewing move over here there we go uh that's gonna be it for today uh your last tech tip if you noticed well I got down to five inches I quit pulling boards off uh the reasoning behind that especially on your softer Woods you keep that weight down on the cut as you're going through and you come back and you go through again it keeps the end of your your camps from wanting to move up uh if they want to move up sometimes you can't stop them but this this is a big log there wasn't any issue there but I still like to keep the weight on the last four or five inches as I'm cutting through getting all the way down to the last one inch cut and I guess the other thing is I'm sticking these boards even though I intend on probably using them tomorrow or the next day I still don't want them to mold or start turning on me and any anything I can do to go ahead start the process process of drying is a benefit so here you go guys we've just finished up this uh log remastered it it's actually 14 feet started out at roughly 25 inches on the big end it's squared out one two three four five and there's six flitches over here 21 1 by 12 or 1 by 14s excuse me at 14 board feet per board that's 294.96 without my calculator that's pretty good out of one log I need about 24 2500 feet so we got a few more to do thank you I will take uh take this opportunity thank you for watching our channel uh Matthew wasn't here today you know
