of this Championship it has cooled off decidedly the last two again as we said only 19 degrees Centigrade Anderson let's go one of the favorites in this competition again World leading throw and a personal best 79 meters two as she won the U.S national championship here at Hayward Field [Applause] 10th a year ago in the Olympic finals First National Championship here to qualify for this Championship her Mark goes out 74-81 so better by three meters Chris De turbo she was one of those that got out over the automatic qualifying Mark at 73 meters 50. unqualifying day there were four of those as we mentioned one of them turbo no a little out of control it's a foul red flag there still have two more to see if she can get herself in the top eight drop that ball really low on that last in Italy she's ranked ninth in the world good throw get another look at her as she moves across this circle goes by in such a blur in regular real time then you slow it down and you just see just how much strain they put through there what a great throw from Santini put yourself in the second and 73 meters 18. has gone 75 meters and 75 meters those are only two 75 meter throws of the competition and there you see Brooke Anderson and they have updated the table they have looked at it the appeal is held and her for his throw has gone up and it was a monster [Applause] 77-42 my goodness so Anderson is next to throw so we are going to take a second look at the throw that was originally ruled a foul she protested while she's last her right foot there touches it was pretty just touches the inside he said it was in the inside you could hear tell the official I wasn't out of the ring I wasn't on top of it I touched the inside that's a legal throw beauty is obviously there's enough videotape there's nothing look at that there's enough to adjudicate that and they do and they measured that throw that's 77 meters 42 so she steps into the ring for her fifth row as the Leader by nearly two beaters in his competition throws that was that one another bomb from her American women great to watch and have made this event something that people need to watch because of how good they are trying to win the second throwing medal she goes 77-42 with some controversy on the foot that had to be discussed this time there is no controversy clean throw all the way around and an improvement to 77-56 so she has really put it out there for cash and avoid and Rogers to go for now these last two women are really going to have to muster something up gonna have to be really aggressive maybe take a chance in this ring no more can't be timid here [Music] Anderson who's won five of her six competitions this year we're going to make it six out of seven [Applause] cast and avoid set sail [Applause] 486 is her mark 75-52 is where she needs to beat to move up on the stand in front of Rogers second [Music] Anderson Rogers casanovoid the podium is set but the order could still be jangled up with these final three throws to avoid the third best throw in the world this year at 78 meters she will need that before the sort of before the event kind of found her and she found that she was world class since perhaps those souffles will have to wait [Music] foreign so bronze locked in for castnavoy [Music] [Applause] stay for her in This Global championship medal for the American and now Cameron Rogers assured of silver does she have something in her does she have a golden throw in the sixth round all right how it goes oh acknowledgment from the crowd maybe from Cannabis had a well-known name to the community here in Eugene Oregon she's won pac-10 Conference champions Pac-12 Conference Championship excuse me that's the University division she throws in National Championships so another successful trip to Hayward Field for Cameron Rogers thank you 74-36 . and that means gold belongs to Brooke Anderson [Music] her face grind out one more throw sure [Music] gold medalist will enter the ring the Applause to the champion [Music] there are things to throw for Beyond medals but now it's for a Mark will it be surpassing their world lead at 79 meters is it trying to go to the championship records right over 80. oh my goodness and she this is not a ceremonial throw after unleashing 77-42 and 77-56 Brooke Anderson Just ignites the crowd with one more throw job done tears just to make sure you know she's the gold medalist you see cheating Applause by the officials from all our federal competitors a hug from casaboid this is going to be a huge number put on those medals ladies that's the new thing they immediately give the medals and the number is up 78 meters 96. [Music] Brooke Anderson a dominant performance over her final three throws and there they are so they immediately give them the medal as they drink in the adulation of this Hayward Field crowd The Americans finishing one and third first and third the Canadians second and fifth there they are the greatest Hammer throwers in the world mostly to form but Anderson's series over the last three 77-42 which was nearly two meters past second place then 77-56 which was in fact two meters four centimeters second place and then 78-96 and it was not a foul and it was not controversial she did not have to ask them to measure it to re-look at the video of where her foot was and now she runs over across the track the track has been cleared and there's the hug oh the emotion Brooke Anderson Champion hometown of Vista California through it Northern Arizona famous for their distance runners in this country a great program of distance Runners under coach Mike Smith now she has the medal [Applause] visit with the on track announcer Lara Overton thank you then underneath the stands underneath the cover and the benches Cameron Rogers her first Global medal so close for her she was fifth in Tokyo now she has that metal to hang in her memorabilia mementos Savoy the woman who wasn't quite good enough in the shot wasn't quite good enough for the disc she is plenty good in the hammer throw [Music] Madness competition these three women in the class of the field [Music] beyond that you had to go back another full meter to find fourth place with the Italian Sarah fantini [Music] [Applause] [Music] look again at the efforts and the reactions of the metal winners Castle boy Rogers had the lead briefly each of those two ladies had a hand on the gold medal and then Anderson not only took it away snatched it both hands on it put it around her neck [Applause] all the hours all the training all the work it's right there followed by all the joy World athletic championships the hammer throw final it is Anderson Rogers cash avoidance for the history books [Music] pictures with the medals and the flags we look at the final tables there it is Anderson Rogers 78.96 she won by three meters 44. that's one of the most dominant victories in the history of this Championship it's only been in the world championship since 1999 and still relatively new on the program in 20 15 won by more than four meters but Anderson that is decisive and there you see 11th and 12th and again to make a global Championship final is quite an accomplishment for all 12 of these women
