Please note that this website is currently a work in progress! Lots of interesting data and statistics to come.
No cool boat stuff
No 70s Western District of Baltimore
No dressing up as a bum hunting corner boyz
No super secret North Vietnam missions
Lame! But yeah I'm still gonna watch this shit.
This really is The Fugitive plus John Wick on a military scale. All I know is that Solima shot some great looking action with a yolked MBJ. It's about to be a hoot and a half
The last trailer was full of cringe lines. I expected this one to tone it down. Then I get hit with "The only thing he has more than kills...are medals." Ok lady.
The rest of the trailer looked pretty cool though.
I wish they had the balls to follow the book. I hate it when studios make a generic action movie and slap a well-known book title on it. It didn't work for World War Z and I don't expect it to work here.
I'm still excited for this movie, but the dialogue is still painfully generic. One of the worst "he's the best we have" I've heard ever.
Someone had a conversation with Sly about career longevity and how to get paid. Don't fault that idea one bit but it's an uncannily similar career trajectory so far.
Between this and Guy Ritchieβs Wrath of Man, I really donβt know what to do with myself. This movie hit all the action movie checkpoints: Prison break scene, home invasion, plane crash, military tactical raid, Michael B Jordan workout montage. CANT WAIT
That opening scene looked really similar to the scene in Starred Up. If Michael B Jordan does the same thing with the baby oil, I'm gonna assume it's a homage to that particular fight.
I'm not knocking it though, this looks awesome.
This looks super generic and self-serious.
