enigma that has challenged maesters Lords and Outsiders alike but what would you think if I told you that this mysterious Tower could be a connection to magical creatures of the past and evidence that Dragon Lords may have been in Winterfell thousands of years ago what would you think if I told you that the place where Cersei and jie were discovered by bran could hide the secret of this universe in three-eyed Raven the first keep of Winterfell is a much older construction than the inhabitants of this place think the first time we saw it was during the first episode of Game of Thrones where we saw Bran Stark jumping through it in the books this first keep is adorned by Stone gargoyles and its appearance is much Grimmer than what we saw in the series as The Story Goes this tower has been rebuilt built several times in the past let's first talk about its structure this first keep of Winterfell has a long history and it shows in its appearance over the years it has been repaired several times and you can see different types of stones on its walls as if it had suffered during different cycles of War it is very close to a special place the CPS where many of the Starks of the past rest this Tower is also close to the Natural hot springs that keep the Fortress warm during the cold Winters these Hot Springs are an important part of life in Winterfell offering comforting warmth to its inhabitants but this Tower according to the books has been abandoned since before Bran's birth for some reason this tower has not been used despite still being accessible as jimie and Cersei managed to reach the highest point of the tower meaning that it's stairway still works in the book World Of Ice And Fire we can read the following Storm's end is no doubt an ancient castle but in comparison with the ruined forts of the first men or even with the first keep of Winterfell which a maester in the service of the Starks after examination defined as being rebuilt so many times that it could not be accurately dated its great tower and its wall of perfectly joined ashlers seem to be far from the capabilities of the first men of thousands of years ago although this fragment is talking about Storm's end we can notice that when referring to the first keep of Winterfell it is mentioned that the tower was subjected to examination and that it has been rebuilt so many times that it is difficult to know its true age although most likely it is even older than the wall something interesting about this is that it is mentioned a maester was given the task of dating this Tower perhaps because it was dangerous or because something was discovered about this place and the maester could not date the structure correctly according to Legends the wall is at least 8,000 years old which means that the first keep could be more or less that age or even much older but the strangest thing the books mention is that this tower has gone through Cycles where it is destroyed and rebuilt when Ramsey attacked Winterfell this Tower was almost destroyed which means it will again be rebuilt by Sansa now you could say that it is simply a tower and nothing more and you could be right but in other cities like Oldtown we can find the high tower whose base was created by a civilization of the past we can also see the ice wall or the throne in the iron Islands so there is evidence that there have been different civilizations in Soros or Os where they have created monuments just like the maze makers in Westeros for some reason these ancient civilizations created great architectures perhaps to demonstrate their might or perhaps as a magical element to keep something from approaching the fact that the Tower of Winterfell was created above the CPS next to the hot springs might not be coincidental as this place is the only one in the region capable of harboring life for dragons who could use these Hot Springs to stay warm it is here perhaps the most interesting thing about this theory if the targaryan family really originates thousands of years before the house of the dragon and they have been part of dozens or hundreds of wars and cycles of Extinction in Westeros it is possible that this Tower as well as other buildings in Westeros belong to the first dragon Lords and I'm not talking about those of valyria I'm talking about the first people who had dragons in this Universe perhaps thousands of years before the city of valyria we know for sure that Giants and the children of the forest lived in Westeros and that perhaps they played an important role in these constructions something interesting about this is that it is believed Bran Stark the one who created the ice wall also worked on the tower of the high tower the one we talked about in previous videos now the fact that the white walkers have continuously attack the world could explain why the tower is destroyed since it is in the crys and possibly the dead of the past have awakened and the tower has been destroyed but after the cycle the tower is rebuilt again others believe that this Tower is a seal and that there is a dragon inside perhaps a creature from the time of the wall perhaps an ice dragon or something else maybe in the depths of the tower lies the secret of the halfman half-ish beings who fought against the dragon Lords in the past perhaps Jon Snow will be able to discover all these secrets in his own story but those are theories of the people as the maesters would say or some followers of the Canon of the books for us the theoretical allies of The Great Mushroom maester it is clear that all these buildings are connected and that westos under go different Cycles there is a magical war that we do not fully F understand and that could be explained in the next books of this universe what is clear is that looking at the history everything points to the Targaryen having a much more ancient and magical origin than we think and that perhaps Bran Stark had more similarities
