Willy Wonka-Inspired Restaurant Opens at Universal Hollywood! Is It Good?

Hello everybody welcome back to ordinary Adventures today we're here at Universal Studios Hollywood at CityWalk they have a new restaurant opening it's called twosome's chocolate Emporium and savory Feast kitchen they have one of these in Orlando they have one of these in Beijing now they have one of these in Hollywood and it's like chocolate infused food and milkshakes we're gonna be some of the first to try it out here come with us on this adventure [Music] so Tucson's chocolate Emporium is a concept by Universal they've created it there's one in Universal Orlando we tried it out the food is all in like fused with chocolate and stuff wasn't that great but the desserts were amazing but everything that gets ported over here is kind of different so we're hoping the food has been taken up a notch also it was like literally four years ago that we went there I have no recollection of what we ordered or what it tastes to like yeah and this place is fantastically decorated it's like a steampunk Willy Wonka's chocolate factory and if you're lucky you might see an OP twosome and her robot walking around greeting guests I actually think the decorations inside here might be better than Orlando upon first impression of this restaurant I love like the open concept of it feels really really spacious in here I just looked on the wall and there's some like robotic bugs crawling around one of the things that I love about this place is I give you this elaborate menu it look it almost looks like a book it's so thick and it has the back story of the restaurant and of Penelope toothsome and her robot friend jock basically they're traveling all throughout time and space and they're setting up these two some emporiums all around the land to spread happiness and give people chocolate have a bunch of different cocktails and beers and wines it almost feels like the Cheesecake Factory menu here's some of their appetizers I love that there's photos of everything chocolate bread yeah they have chocolate bread chocolate Wings I'm feeling a lot of stuff is going to be chocolate themed do they even put chocolate on the salads I mean I would eat it if they did there's some flat breads oh the flatbreads look good sandwiches of course you got sandwiches yeah when we came to this restaurant like when we first started I think I got this one yeah you got a burger and I think we got like tater tots I don't remember I remember it was the night after Halloween Horror Nights and I was so tired oh wow there's a lot of different Burgers I don't know what are we going to do we have potato chips on that oh the pastas wow pastas here are the main entrees freeze short rib oh my gosh steak the menu just keeps going and going they have brunch which I think is like an all-day brunch wow of course oh look at that chocolate s'more French toast that looks incredible I might have to order that but what they're famous for is they're shakes yes I remember their milkshakes being amazing and it's going to be really hard to choose which one we want to get because they all look so good and then they also have like Sundays and stuff when there's on the stomach this menu just keeps going and going and going they have a lot of different desserts wow all right kids menu the kid's been used three things yeah I really like how they have photos look at that oh my God it was good when we came here today I was not anticipating getting a cocktail for some reason like I didn't even cross my mind that they would have all these crafted cocktails but the one that caught my eye is the cocoa clouds this has chocolate vodka Godiva white chocolate liqueur Bailey's and Kahlua so it sounds quite decadent and then I think the cutest thing about it is it has a little cotton candy Cloud on the side here how pretty that's what I needed today a nice chocolate cocktail start things off wow before it even hit my lips the smell of it smells like all those things I described it basically tastes like I'm drinking melted ice cream which I mean hey I love Bailey's I love Kahlua those are things that I already love you add all the other chocolatey stuff in there and this is a winner in my book it's very very sweet but if you know that you like those kind of flavors you'll probably enjoy this like me I give it like a four out of five and for my drink I got the PB old-fashioned this is chocolate whiskey screwball peanut butter whiskey orange bitters mold Bitters and they don't mention in the menu but it has some little uh peanut butter cups it looks nice looks looks fancy it does fancy but uh delicious oh my God does it tastes like a melted peanut butter cup no it tastes like an old-fashioned with a strong Taste of peanut butter ooh as you know I am an old-fashioned connoisseur you are I wouldn't want this every time I want an old-fashioned this is a very desserty kind of drink yeah but if you're coming here to the Chocolate Factory the chocolate Emporium you gotta expect that I'd give this a five out of five Peters this is delightful but it's like a treat you only want every so often I mean I noticed on the menu they had a bunch of different kind of old Fashions like a chocolate one root beer one might have to come here again we're gonna have to try them all I don't even like old Fashions and I actually like this it you can't taste the whiskey or the bourbon or whatever is in an old fashioned at all like it literally just tastes like I'm drinking a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup or a twosome peanut butter cup I should say not Reese's we decided to get a few of the appetizers and we had to get something that was chocolate themed so we got the chocolate almond bread this is fresh chocolate almond bread with salted caramel butter and when they set this down on the table you could just smell the chocolate chocolate I can't smell it but I believe you you not smell it oh oh wow I'm gonna be eating way too much chocolate today so I've never had chocolate bread before but I'm excited to try it and then at caramel butter there's no way this could be bad look at this though I feel like you could see the chocolate chips in there I mean when at a chocolate factory yeah wow do you smell the caramel yes they bring this bread out warm and it literally feels like you're biting into a chocolate brownie it doesn't even taste like bread it literally tastes like a brownie it's nice and fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside you could tell that they made it like right here right now and that caramel butter just adds even more sweetness to it this is really really good but like like with the cocktail that I got you got to have a sweet tooth to enjoy this I think I'd probably give it like a four and a half out of five the only thing is though is I feel like this should be free like they should just give you this complimentary with your with your meal like I think we paid like five or six dollars for this and of course we're here with our friend Kidder who doesn't like chocolate I'm not even sure why he's here I don't know I have no idea they I I mean they hopefully have carrot cake right it's a sweet place right the other architecture we got was the coffee and Chocolate Stout wings with sesame seeds where else can you buy a chocolate chicken wing are you a drumstick or a wing person I'm more of like a drumstick boneless wings to be honest oh yeah I prefer boneless do you hear the music I feel like we're in France right now it's interesting because it's not like overly chocolate I taste more of like the coffee than I do the actual chocolate itself oh really it's good a glaze almost like a Teriyaki but like coffee and chocolate so it's not too overpoweringly chocolate like a three and a half out of five I'd get it again but it's not something I'm gonna like be dreaming about at night I feel like you gotta like smother it in the sauce down there hey I didn't have a lot of sauce so maybe look at that sauce it is very good it's very sweet but I don't really taste the chocolate like you're right it kind of just tastes like a sweet Teriyaki glaze or something not mad at it I was expecting more chocolate when we when you got chocolate Wings on the menu you want to have chocolate Wings you know what I mean yeah but I probably give it like a three and a half out of five as well it's good we're flatbread with chicken barbecue sauce mozzarella gouda and some cilantro this looks delicious I love a flatbread let's try it looks a little thin Tangy juicy warm delicious I like it a little thin because too much crust and you're going to get way too full this is a pretty big pizza so or flatbread I'm super excited to try all of this this is definitely allows you to leave some extra room for a milkshake after dinner great flavor five out of five here I would definitely order this again for my entree I ended up getting the brisket and wild mushroom meatloaf this is roasted corn crispy fried onions Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and borde sauce and this thing looks massive and it looks almost like the photo so congrats to them because a lot of them see the photo in the menu and it doesn't look like the same thing it looks very good bookmark that for the next dish look at these fried onions I'm a fan of fried onions so that looks really good to me yeah me too oh you can definitely taste the mushroom so if you're one of those people that doesn't like mushrooms after we posted our Super Nintendo World food video we learned that half the world does not like I know everyone was like I don't like mushrooms yes but the mashed potatoes are just creamy the corn on top gives it a little bit of like a little extra foreign on top gives it a little bit of extra kick or nut kick what uh flavor oomph that's the word I was looking for the corn kernels on top give it a little bit extra ink display full this is like something I would come back here and get again I'm gonna give it like a four and a half nice all right the chocolate we had here doesn't really feel like it it feels like it's twosome a signature tooth from this because it's like big and kind of like epic yeah but not because it's sweet and I got the puppet up Burger this is half pound House made Patty and dually sausage queso cheddar cheese Dijon mustard kettle chips on a pretzel bun it doesn't quite look as good as the picture in the menu also that I mean it has the potato chips yeah and I love a pretzel bun so it has potential how am I gonna eat this I didn't think about how I was gonna eat this I like that they give it to you like kind of like open face they're like look at the chips so this is actually pretty tasty the pretzel bun is so good I feel like you could never go wrong with the pretzel bin the only thing is though is I feel like there's no none of that andouille sausage in there like it literally just tastes like a hamburger with chips and cheese and a pretzel bun and the queso but I'm not tasting it in the sausage so I'm gonna I'm gonna knock out a little bit of points for that but the flavor is there it's a very good tasting hamburger so far the best thing that we've had is the drink so we ordered another round this time I got Katie Smith's Sweet Tooth this is Tito's vodka passion fruit liqueur passion fruit puree lime and has a fruit roll up on top it's very beautiful looking and I gotta say it matches your outfit today did you plan that I did not you're saying it was beautiful I was gonna say like you my love oh okay let's try this out we know this looks good but doesn't taste good oh wow they turned the meter to 11 on the passion fruit on this one passion fruit and vodka that's basically what it is so if you like vodka you like passion fruit you're gonna like this one and I like this little throw up like can you eat that after yeah of course you could right it's a five out of five Piers nice about the biggest passion fruit person I probably would have given this before but I think this Fruit Roll-Up gift and it matches your outfit so yeah and I got another drink as well I got this sugar cookie soda this has Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum Ferretti liqueur monan French vanilla syrup and cream the rim is covered in Rainbow sprinkles and a little known fact about me is I'm actually a rainbow sprinkle Aficionado when I was a kid and my my grandma and grandpa used to come visit they used to take me to Baskin-Robbins and I would go get rainbow sherbet with rainbow sprinkles and so see I'd be a hot fudge guy give me the sprinkles and I will love it but this is so cute it tastes like an Italian soda I know that this restaurant is supposed to be French themed but it tastes like a vanilla Italian soda with that cream in there you really can't even taste the alcohol at all which might be dangerous it's very like milky I like it very sweet let's get some of those sprinkles [Music] so that throws the chocolate it's throwing just chunks of chocolate and they come out like truffles or something for dessert we had to get some of the famous milkshakes it was so hard to choose which one I wanted but I ended up getting the red velvet milkshake this has vanilla ice cream red velvet cupcake raspberry sauce rainbow sprinkles whipped topping and a maraschino cherry right on top how freaking gorgeous does this look so photogenic perfect for your Instagram photos like we've had these milkshakes before in Florida and I remember them being amazing they're totally worth like the 15 or whatever they are and by the way you do get if you're an annual pass holder you did get that annual pass holder discount so you save a little bit of money is that straw going through the cupcake the straw is going through the cupcake I think that's how they get the cupcake to sit on there and then I I really don't know how they make it look so beautiful like even the whipped cream and stuff on the side is just so pretty I almost feel bad eating it this basically just tastes like a raspberry milkshake it has a little bit of that red velvet taste in there but it mainly just tastes like vanilla ice cream with raspberry syrup very very good though I think you're paying for like the toppings on top that's what you're paying for here you're buying a milkshake and a cupcake yeah so it's like two for the price of one let's try the cupcake oh my God look at all the is that frosting on the inside of the cup looks like it oh my good Lord wow that's good don't worry you got nothing on your lips it's like a red velvet cupcake you got something on your lips as far as red velvet goes this tastes more like the chocolate chocolatey red velvet like sometimes you get red velvet and it doesn't taste like chocolate so if you look at the the photo I mean that looks totally different than this I'm not mad at it just it depends on what kind of red velvet you like this to me like really doesn't it tastes like red velvet it just tastes like raspberry with like a chocolate cupcake but it's still really good you can't go wrong with a milkshake with a slice of cake on the top right you really can't look at that what have we done I will say when you go to like blacktop and Downtown Disney it's this gigantic slice of cake and you're really not gonna finish it the thing I like about this place is it does seem like it's a little bit more reasonable it's still obnoxious like obnoxiously like oh my God it's epic and huge and like just putting stuff on top of other stuff I literally want to come back here and try every single milkshake on the menu but I'm just saying like this slice of cake yeah if someone gave you that at a birthday party you'd be like upset you know what I mean like so I'm just saying it's a little bit more like conservatively sliced because you don't need a huge slice of cake on top of your milkshake or I don't eat it I don't know about you let's look at fabulous it's mostly like a vanilla milkshake you can kind of taste like it tastes like they might have like put some of the cake in there in the blender or like maybe some of the sprinkles like it get like almost a Funfetti kind of face to it this is a 5 out of five Peters I could see myself stopping in no we need to come back and try every single milkshake no but I'm saying I could say see yourself weaving Universal shopping at the milkshake bar and grabbing a milkshake yeah see you later Cinnabon who needs you and you also get this like souvenir glass or whatever yeah I think it might be plastic but it's not like thin it's it's hard yeah so you get to take that home with you which is nice especially for the price especially since you're not going to finish this no here I'm so full question is where where is Jacques where is Penelope we can't see we can't find them anywhere I see him it's coming hello can I see you you've procured uh milkshake here with scan specialty myself yet well you did a great job I gotta say they are rather delicious oh thank you you see Penelope did install a taste sensor in my index finger but I have to learn to not touch people's shakes what is your favorite food item here most favorite food item I do quite enjoy the Brussels sprouts oh yeah um everything we had was so good we got a lot of stuff that had chocolate on it oh yeah chocolate is vanettope's favorite she likes chocolate strawberry chocolate caramel chocolate anything with chocolate she loves if you notice the mural on the ceiling it is a dirigible that we ride around in we travel through time oh okay any place in the world we've been there nice have you traveled on an adventure vehicle before a dirigible perhaps no no we've only been on ordinary Adventures people wonderful your favorite flavor would you say it's red velvet uh yes for right now it could it could change yes humans are ever-changing creatures aren't they yes well I have a song actually about red velvet specifically I wrote it this morning yes would you like to hear it yeah of course I will need your help with percussion if you don't mind okay sure are you ready here we go [Applause] I like your dance moves yeah thank you actually on that subject Penelope says I could do a pretty decent robot I would like to learn how to dance the human would you mind showing me in America we call it cotton candy however in Kensington we call it the candy floss okay yes this is the candy floss you ready yes oh great okay yes okay you got this here we go shall we here we are here we are all right wonderful yeah oh we're doing great Peter you want to get up here and try no I'm you it's good to meet you jack okay bye thank you awesome amazing one of my favorite things about this restaurant is you exit through the gift shop and they have a bunch of chocolates and goodies just in case the milkshakes weren't enough for you one thing I love about Tucson's candies are they're all like very unique yeah you could buy it just for the little like containers that they come in they have so many different little Trinkets and like look at those bottles what even is this it's sour apple candy I was looking at it but it's like liquid yeah you drink it I think so sour apple liquid candy look at these it's like a pie on a stick blueberry pie lollipop something that I didn't know existed and now I won you have all sorts of different pies I think you could even grab one of these and then fill it up with the candy of your choice as well do you think jock and Penelope are friends with Walter White and Jesse Pinkman who knew that jock has his own candy bars yeah and I remember when we went to the twosome in Orlando I remember seeing this octopus character and I was like disappointed that there was no octopus character that came around to the tables and talked to you like who is he he's part of the crew but who is he one of the things I love about the store is has a bunch of like steampunk inspired little trinkets that you can put on like your shelf like look at the steampunk projector LED there's an octopus secret trinket box so for 95 you could buy this octopus and then it has a secret compartment where you could hide trinkets you can put all your candy in there where you put your Walter White Rock Candy oh yeah there we go that's probably a better use for it just for kitra Jacques has made its own coffee black oh my God I should have asked him about that cookies and cream yum the people that work here are all dressed up in steampunk clothing it looks awesome and if you want to go home you can also buy your own steampunk gear like this hat you look like you're from Back To The Future Three ma'am oh my God look at these marshmallows what is even champagne gold marshmallow pop it's all sparkly it matches my nails I think I would want to get this coconut cream one or maybe the cookies and cream they even have rainbow crunch milkshake straws this is like my dream remember how I said I love Rainbow sprinkles give me this yeah I want to eat my straws yeah I don't think the straws are edible just the coating of course they have all the different cotton candy you need here they call it candy floss well yeah I remember when I danced with jock that's what he called it oh we're doing great Peter you want to get up here and try no I'm fine okay of course okay I found probably the best thing in here you could buy a monocle how amazing is that I think it just like straps around your head you could just wear it that's awesome does it make you smarter probably and the store also has these chocolate sculptures by chocolate they have one of an octopus and this one of the like a steampunk Top Hat Top Hat thing oh yeah look at the other side there's like goggles and stuff what do you think that tastes like I think it tastes like amazingness they don't only just have sweets in here they actually have some apparel as well like some shirts and sweatshirts I like this one because it's literally chocolate colored does it smell like chocolate doesn't but it should of course they also have a cabinet full of sweets it looks like there are some like rice crispy treats oh my God look at this down here dark chocolate chili mango what they have a huge refrigerated display case which includes dozens and dozens of different kinds of truffles all look unique and different and they also have a case full of fancy looking macarons what are these I don't know they look like lollipops it's a fruit punch wow fruit punch Malo pop what does that even mean so I guess it's a marshmallow popsicle wow why do all the candy things here look incredible I don't know I'm so full we were fully planning to try something because I also have a bunch of like Truffles and stuff here though like we've always wanted to try but I I don't think I could physically eat anything more we have all of our leftovers to go maybe we'll have to come back and try some a different day the next day we're back at CityWalk for the media event and hopefully we can see some more of the food maybe meet Penelope let's go in so we just walked in and I didn't expect them to have like full milkshakes and they handed me a full mint milkshake and this has like an Oreo like a huge Oreo ice cream sandwich on top let's try it that's minty very minty very very minty let's give it like a four out of five pizza so at these kind of events they have displays set up with all the food yeah look at all that food we can't eat it we just have to look at it so this is like avocado bruschetta wow that looks delicious there's the berries and cream waffle that looks beautiful and there's some pork belly sliders oh my God look at this chocolate s'mores brioche French toast that looks absolutely amazing so just in case you don't want to get a milkshake they have a bunch of other stuff on the menu like this flourless chocolate gooey cake a classic French chocolate mousse oh my God Peter they have a chocolate creme brulee as you know I am a connoisseur of bread pudding and they got the triple chocolate bread pudding look at this chocolate cream pie and it looks like we have some of the more Savory items right here so here's the Tour de France burger what is on that it looks like an egg lots of oh is that an egg I thought it was cheese this is something that I was actually thinking about ordering when we were here the other day it's the crook monchoa which is basically a ham and cheese sandwich covered in cheese looks delicious and right here you got the chicken bursi which at first I thought this was like a chocolate glaze but no it's it should be a chocolate glaze it's like a demi glaze there's this braised short rib which has a cocoa a gremolata I almost got that the other day I know it looks good so this is my favorite table right here it's the table of alcohol and the one I really want to try is the root beer old-fashioned you know I tried the other old-fashioned but all these cocktails look wonderful yeah we've already tried about half of this menu when we came the other day but you know I'm down to try the rest of them one day dreams do come true I got myself a root beer old-fashioned we're gonna try it right now when you put this up to your nose all you smell is root beer it's actually kind of fantastic it tastes like root beer but an old-fashioned I mean I know that's like obvious that's what it is 5 out of five theaters dang I don't know which old-fashioned I like better do I like the the peanut butter cup or do I like the root beer I think I'd probably go peanut butter cup you need to try this oh wow it does smell like root beer [Music] I'm not the biggest old-fashioned person but like all the old Fashions here are very very sweet so I like that hello hi how's it going how are you this evening very good I've heard all about you and your amazing restaurants it's amazing here we love it thank you so much Penelope brought the entire restaurant herself oh wow she's a master tinkerer idea but jock actually developed all of the menu items oh really yes in his debt for the beautiful Milkshakes that he's designed you did an amazing job oh man thank you you're very welcome yeah so sweet you must eat a lot of candy I know yes yeah that is correct especially tonight oh my favorite milkshake oh my goodness that's so difficult to choose I would have to say maybe that that's mint oh this is a good one it's a thrill it in vanilla what about the pineapple upside down of course or the key lime except for the time yes it was just a key milkshake oh it wasn't good it's a little hard on the teeth it was tasty for me yes I would say that my favorite milkshake is the type that you share oh do you know why he's so sweet because he runs in time that's what I thought it's a delightful side effect yes many people say I am smooth as well [Laughter] wait a second what is that you have on your your yeah what's going on there oh just my hundreds of thousands oh yes everywhere I go although you Americans call them sprinkles I believe yes that is oh yeah oh that's very exciting there's so many different words I have them with me at all times and then I also always have an emergency supply of chocolate in case shop runs out of energy does happen from time to time yes we recommend that everyone keeps five or six chocolate chips on them at all times for emergency purposes I feel like that is great
